growingupwith英语作文
When I was a little kid, English was like a mysterious monster to me. I remember the first time I encountered it was in a cartoon. The characters were speaking English, and I was completely lost, thinking, "What on earth are they saying?"
Later on, I started learning English in school. My English teacher was a very funny lady. She had this way of making the lessons so interesting. One day, she brought a big box of colorful stickers to the class and said, "Kids, if you answer my questions correctly, you'll get a sticker!" Everyone's eyes lit up, and we all raised our hands high, eager to answer.
I was so nervous but also determined to get a sticker. When she asked a question about the alphabet, I shouted out the answer quickly. "Good job!" she said and gave me a shiny star sticker. I felt like I was on top of the world.
As I grew older, English became a part of my daily life. I started watching English movies with my friends. We would gather at my place, munch on popcorn, and try to understand the dialogues. Sometimes, we would imitate the characters and have a great laugh.
One time, we were watching a comedy, and there was a funny line. My friend, Tom, tried to repeat it but ended up saying it all wrong. We burst out laughing, and he blushed, saying, "Hey, stop laughing! I'll get it right next time."
Now, English is no longer that mysterious monster. It's like a good friend that accompanies me everywhere. I can read English books, communicate with foreigners, and even dream in English sometimes.
Looking back, I realize how much I've grown with English. It has opened so many doors for me and brought so much fun and excitement into my life. And I know, this journey with English will continue, and there are still many adventures waiting for me.。
