中国传统节日英语作文篇1Last Qingming Festival,I return home to worship my grandfather.Qingming Festival is a folk Festival. In the past,In the past, the Qingming Festival was called "Arbor Day". But Today, Chinese visit their family graves to tend to any underbrush that has grown. Weeds are pulled, and dirt swept away, and the family will set out offerings of food and spirit money. Unlike the sacrifices at a family's home altar, the offerings at the tomb usually consist of dry, bland food. One theory is that since any number of ghosts rome around a grave area, the less appealing food will be consumed by the ancestors, and not be plundered by strangers. With the passing of time, this celebration of life became a day to the honor past ancestors. Following folk religion, the Chinese believed that the spirits of deceased ancestors looked after the family. Sacrifices of food and spirit money could keep them happy, and the family would prosper through good harvests and more children.中国传统节日英语作文篇2Dear distinguished chief judge; As the defense attorney of my client, I have made many surveys in secret after I took over the case. According to my client and all the information I have inspected about the case, now Ihave an deep and comprehensive understanding about the case . Therefore , I want to show my opinions to you, and I hope the chief would accept them .The stolen car was found abandoned three hours after thetheft with the engine still warm; at the time the car was found, my client was at the airport to meet the flight of a friend who was flying into town.Lab analysis of muddy shoe prints on the floor mat of the car indicates that the prints came from a size 27 shoe; your client wears a size 25.Lab analysis shows the presence of cigarette smoke in the car, but your client does not smoke. The only eyewitness to the crime, who was 20 meters from the car, said the thief "looked like" your client; yet the eyewitness admitted that at the time of the theft she was not wearing her contact lenses, which had been prescribed for improving distance vision. The car was stolen at about I p.m.; your client testified that he was in a town 400 kilometers away at 11 a.m.In a statement to police, the eyewitness described the thief as tall; your client is short.Because of all the doubtful points , I think it is unfair to found guilty of theft to my client. Moreover, the basic standard of criminal sanction is that taking facts as a basis and laws as the criterion, so I hope the chief judge will give a reasonable judgment to my client finally. That's all ,thanks.中国传统节日英语作文篇3How are you? The skies are adorned with beautiful flying lanterns that create a magical atmosphere.3. Dragon Boat FestivalThe Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. Traditional Festival of ChinaDo you know all the traditional festivals in China? Can you speak out all the festival customs in each festival? Do you acting in accordance with these festival customs? Do you think the festivity atmosphere is being strong or being weaken?I think most of you will say “No” and will say the festivity atmosphere is being weaken, don’t you? For me, my answers are the same with what is said above. What cause the current situation of the traditional festival of China? And how could we change this embarrassing situation?Nowadays, with the development of society and the technology of innovative our life is becoming more and more modernization. In the meantime, the western culture and their life habit is gradually blending in our life. The western festival is becoming more and more popular with our young Chinese, especially for the Christmas. However, let’s look at our traditional festival, don’t you think they are becoming weaker? And these traditional festivals are losing its appeal to our young people these days. Don’t you think so?Yes, we are expecting the traditional festival, but what are the real thing we are expecting for? Aren’t the holidays? To protect our traditional festivals, our government has lengthened the vacations of the traditional festivals and established the vacations for our traditional festivals. Of course, these holidays have strengthened our people’s consciousness of the traditional festivals. However, their consciousnessof the festival customs haven’t been strengthened. Or in other words, their consciousness of festival customs is becoming weaker. As the older generation pass away, the transmission of traditional festival customs is becoming slacking. Here, I’d like to talk about my own experience of the traditional festival. When I was still a little girl, my grandfather was still living and still energetic. In each festival, my grandfather would always ask my sister and me to comply with each customs strictly. For example, in Dragon Boat Festival, my grandfather would mount wormwood in the gate and the door of kitchen in the early morning. Then hewould always tirelessly tell us the reason why we must mount the wormwood. Before we ate lunch, my grandfather would ask us to drink a little realgar wine and wipe some realgar wine in our navel. Then my grandfather would ask us to sprinkle the rest of wine around the house. The lunch in Dragon Boat Festival was abundant. The meals in table must involve preserved egg, zongzi, three-colored amaranth and so on. And after lunch, we must ate some mulberries and plums. In the Spring Festival, there were more customs must be observed. My grandfather would be angry if we didn’t comply with these customs. I could remember how happy I was in the Spring Festival. Not only for the red packet, but also for the bright and cheerful festival atmosphere. I could still remember and feel how flourishing the traditional cultures were. However, when we became older and my grandfather became weakness and passed away, my consciousness of the festival customs was becoming weaker. Because there is no longer a man asking me to comply with these customs strictly any more. Then, nowadays, in Dragon Boat Festival, we just eat some zongzi and preserved eggs in home or at school. And in Spring Festival, we just expect to get more and more red packets from our parents or our relatives. Do most of us are still complying with those festival customs? No, we don’t. I can’t feel the flourishing traditional festival atmosphere any more. I am becoming more and more numb for those traditional festivals. And I think there are more and more people are becoming the same with me. It is so sorrowful, isn’t it? I am so distressed about this situation and I rally want to comply with festival customs strictly. However, I just have a heart but no strength. Because it is my parents are the masters in my home now and they haven’t care these customs since my grandfather passed away. So I decide to strictly comply with those festival customs and teach and require my children to comply with those festival customs strictly when I have a family in the future. As far as I am concerned, to strengthen our people’s consciousness of the traditional festivals, the government has to be mainly responsible for it. The government should implement more activities in each festival and lead people comply with those customs. Then, our parents should have strong consciousness of thetraditional festivals and comply with them strictly, which can set a good example for children and make them have a strong consciousness of the traditional festivals. For ourselves, I think we should inherit our traditional culture and carry it forward. The traditional festivals are the most important part of our China traditional culture, we shouldn’t forget them and we must target the inheritance of traditional culture as our necessary duty!。
