教学过程设计
Step I. Lead in (引入)
教师活动:1、以第29届奥运会引入北京。

2、呈现一幅图片学生让学生联想所知道的交通运输工具。

学生活动:Describe what you see in the picture.
设计目的:激发学生的学习兴趣。

标题:Getting around In Beijing
Step I I. Reading.
1. Fast-reading (快速阅读)
教师活动:教师用多媒体展示出下面问题:
1) Read the first sentence of each paragraph to find who might find the
information useful.
2). Ask the students to skim the subtitles quickly and find what means of
transport are mentioned.
学生活动:学生快速浏览课文,了解课文大意。

(全班活动)
设计意图:通过让学生浏览首尾句的活动,训练学生快速阅读能力及归纳各段中心意思的能力,了解各种交通方式特点如何,利于学生的判断选择。

3)Check the answers and show relative pictures:
Taxis/Buses and trolleybuses/minibuses/underground/pedicabs
2. Careful- reading (细读)
1) Read the passage carefully then find out the answers to the questions.
Para1: Ask one student to read it and answer question one : How easy is it to find a taxi in Beijing?
Raise your hand, and a taxi appears in no time.
Para2-4: Ask three students to read paragraphs one by one , then answer questions 2-6
Words and phrases:

教师活动:按要求认真阅读课文,在屏幕上展示问题及答案.使学生加深印响,在黑板上写下文中出现的重点单词,短语和句型,并作必要解释学生活动:仔细阅读,了解北京公共汽车的特点,利于学生做出更好选择,掌握词汇在文中的运用及常用结构,如祈使句,伴随状语和定语从句,培养他们的理解和表达能力。

设计意图:阅读问题培养学生自查能力.互动能够激发学生兴趣。

设计意图:开展竞赛,创设合作性活动,能激发学生学习英语的兴趣,敢于展现自我魅力,并学会相互合作。

Step III. Post-reading(读后)
学生活动:正误判断
1. Taxis usually display the price per kilometre on the window. (T)
2. Buses numbered 1 to 100 are limited to travel outside the city. (F)
3. You can get on a minibus if you don’t want to take a taxi or a bus. (T)
4. You have to pay 3 yuan for a one-way ticket. (T)
5. Pedicabs in Beijing are cheap to take. (F)

学生活动:归纳五种交通工具的特点。

设计意图:培养学生养成归纳总结的习惯
Step V. Discussion
教师活动:教师展示一些具有归纳总结性的问题:
Which means of transport do you prefer to travel ? Why?
学生活动:学生思考并讨论上述问题,然后向全班同学汇报。

设计意图:锻炼学生的口语表达能力和实践活动能力
Step VI. Homework.
Write an essay about means of transport in zhenan
设计意图:学生会写很多与本课有关的句子,培养学生概括总结、书面表达的能力。

此问题属于开放型的,无固定答案,从而再一次引发学生对情感、态度和价值观的思考。

Reflection after teaching(教学反思)
本节课我通过不同的任务设置,让学生在小组活动中通过合作和探究来完成各个任务,活动既有轻松有趣的猜词游戏,又有需要深层思考的阅读理解活动和讨论活动,不同的任务设置激发了学生的学习兴趣和用英语表达的欲望。

快速阅读环节,通过小标题及查找首尾句的方法,训练学生的快速阅读技巧。

小组活动在竞赛中进行,使得小组活动既有合作又有竞争,增加了小组活动的有效性。

整个课堂气氛活跃,活动形式多样,组织有序,但本堂课也还存在需要加以改进的地方:由于本堂课容量大,导致最后一个讨论和自我展现环节任务时间较紧,若能将讨论议题再生华一点就更好了。

所以今后应注意教学步骤间的紧密衔接,降低难度鼓励学生大胆开口,充分体现教师主导、学生主体作用。
