Finally, it was time to face the music. I struggle to my feet from my seat and slowly made my way to the door. I was soon greeted with a stream of cold air rushing through the open door. I went along the dimly lit hallway. A sudden gust of cold wind made me shiver. It was really cold outside, I thought. After what seemed a long time, I came to the office. Through the glass window I could see Mr. Xu in front of a computer, eyes glued to the screen. I could even hear his fingers hitting the keyboard hard from time to time. After a minute's hesitation,I pushed the door open. Mr. Xu looked away from his computer, adjusted his glasses and stared directly into my eyes. My cheeks were glowing with embarrassment. I could figure out what he was to say. My heart missed a beat. My mind went blank and my mouth dry.
