摘要：PURPOSE:To lengthen effective stroke of a piston in such a way that during ascending stroke and descending stroke of the piston, height of a scavenging port is changed by means of closing pieces. CONSTITUTION:Closing pieces 5 are installed one by one on each scavenging port 4, and they can turn around a shaft 6 which is installed in practically orthogonal direction to the orientation of the scavenging ports 4. A fork 7 makes movement integral with the closing pieces, and its tip is made into two- finger shape. A driving link 10 makes a driving arm 9 move up and down. Even if the scavenging port opening area time is made as much as the conventional one, commencement of opening of the scavenging port can be slowed down. Thus, effective stroke of a piston can be lengthened.
