SOLUTION: A PS-1 sample such as a cerebrospinal fluid is collected and subsequently treated by an isoelectric point electrophoresis method, an immunoassay, etc., to determine the presence or absence of a PS-1 protein isoform, especially intron polymorphic protein isoform, in the PS-1 sample.
