英语五年级下册必考第三单元作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Title: My Unforgettable Summer VacationIt was the last day of school, and I couldn't wait for the summer break to begin. As soon as the final bell rang, I dashed out of the classroom, said goodbye to my friends, and hurried home. Mom and Dad had promised me an exciting summer vacation, and I was eager to find out what they had planned. When I got home, Mom and Dad were waiting for me in the living room with big smiles on their faces. "We have a surprise for you," Dad said, handing me a brochure. I opened it and saw pictures of a beautiful beach, clear blue waters, and towering palm trees. "We're going to Hawaii!" I exclaimed, my eyes wide with excitement. The next few weeks were a flurry of preparations. We packed our suitcases, bought new swimsuits and beach toys, and made sure we had everything we needed for our tropical adventure. Finally, the day of our departure arrived, and we boarded the plane, ready to embark on our journey. After a long flight, we landed in Honolulu, the capital city of Hawaii. The warm, humid air enveloped us as we stepped out of the airport, and I could already feel the relaxation setting in. We checked into our hotel, which was right on the beach, and I couldn't wait to explore the island paradise. The first few days were spent lounging on the beach, building sandcastles, and swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the Pacific Ocean. I loved the feeling of the soft sand between my toes and the gentle waves lapping at my feet. We went snorkeling and saw colorful fish and coral reefs that looked like they belonged in a movie. One day, we went on a hiking trail through a lush, tropical rainforest. The air was thick with the scents of exotic flowers and the sound of birds chirping filled the air. We saw waterfalls cascading down rocky cliffs and spotted a few wild chickens roaming around. It was like stepping into a whole new world.Another highlight of our trip was visiting the Dole Pineapple Plantation. We took a train tour through the fields and learned all about how pineapples are grown and harvested. At the end of the tour, we got to sample fresh pineapple and even tried pineapple ice cream – it was delicious! One evening, we attended a traditional Hawaiian luau, where we watched hula dancers perform and feasted on kalua pork, poi, and other traditional Hawaiian dishes. The music, dancing, and vibrant costumes made it a truly unforgettable experience.Towards the end of our trip, we went on a boat tour to see the whales that migrate to the warm Hawaiian waters during the summer months. We were lucky enough to spot a few humpback whales breaching the surface and slapping their tails in the water. It was an incredible sight to witness these massive creatures up close. All too soon, our vacation came to an end, and it was time to head back home. As we boarded the plane, I felt a twinge of sadness, but I was also filled with incredible memories that I would cherish forever. Hawaii had truly been an unforgettable summer vacation. When we got back home, I excitedly showed my friends and family all the pictures and souvenirs I had collected during our trip. I told them about the amazing experiences we had, from swimming in the ocean to hiking through the rainforest and everything in between.Looking back, that summer vacation in Hawaii was one of the best times of my life. It was a chance to explore a new place, try new things, and create lasting memories with my family. It taught me to appreciate the beauty of nature and the richness of different cultures.Even though I'm back in school now, I often find myself daydreaming about the warm Hawaiian sun, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, and the taste of fresh pineapple. Hawaii will always hold a special place in my heart, and I can't wait for my next adventure to begin.篇2My Favorite BookBooks have always been an important part of my life. Ever since I was a little kid, my parents made sure to read to me every night before bed. Those nightly story times sparked my love of reading and imagining the incredible worlds and adventures contained within the pages of books. One book that has really stuck with me over the years is Charlotte's Web by E.B. White. It's a classic children's novel about a pig named Wilbur who is saved from being slaughtered by his friend, a spider named Charlotte. I first read this book when I was in the second grade, and it quickly became one of my all-time favorites. There are so many things I love about Charlotte's Web. First off, the characters are so vivid and memorable. Wilbur is an endearing little pig – he's innocent, kind, and loves life. Despite being destined for the slaughterhouse, he remains cheerful and optimistic. Charlotte is brave, heroic, and an amazingly talented writer. Her intelligence and devotion to Wilbur make her an inspiration. The story also features a fantastic cast of supporting barn animals like Templeton the selfish rat, the simple-minded goose, and the mournful lambs. They each have distinct personalities that add humor and depth. The adventures and mishaps that Wilbur gets into kept me completely engrossed in the story when I first read it. I'll never forget the scene where Wilbur gets loose and wanders around the fair, leading to a wild goose chase to capture him. Or the time the barn animals have to get the sickly pig an egg to eat to regain his strength. Each chapter presents a new engaging challenge or situation.Beyond the narrative itself, the writing is beautifully descriptive. E.B. White has a gift for setting scenes and making you feel completely immersed in the world of the barn. You can vividly picture the haycorns, ramps, pens, and pastures. His rich metaphors and similes bring the story to life in brilliant detail.Perhaps what resonates most powerfully though is the timeless themes of friendship, selflessness, and appreciatinglife's miracles. Despite coming from completely different species, Wilbur and Charlotte form an incredibly close bond. Charlotte's ultimate sacrifice to save Wilbur's life is a testament to the power of true friendship. The novel encourages us to cherish our loved ones and make the most of every day.Charlotte's Web is a novel that has tremendously impacted me. It sparked my imagination and insatiable curiosity about the natural world from a young age. I'll never forget being completely captivated trying to decipher Charlotte's cryptic messages spelled out in her web. It inspired me to start writing short stories myself about animals and their secret lives. Beyond the entertainment value, I took away invaluable lessons about friendship, selflessness, and appreciating the miracle of life.No matter how old I get, Charlotte's Web will always hold a special place in my heart. I've read it over and over again, and each time I discover new hidden meanings and appreciate the magic of E.B. White's amazing storytelling in a deeper way. It's truly a timeless classic that every child and adult should experience. Wilbur and Charlotte's friendship is one that will stick with me forever as an example of how powerful and inspiring thebonds of love and selflessness can be. I have no doubt that decades from now, I'll still be re-reading this wonderful book and experiencing that same sense of awe and nostalgia I first felt as a child.篇3A Day at the MuseumLast Saturday, my family and I went to the Natural History Museum in the city. I was really excited because I love learning about dinosaurs, ancient civilizations, and the wonders of nature. We had been planning this trip for weeks! When we arrived, the museum was quite crowded since it was a weekend. There were families with kids, school groups on field trips, and tourists from all over the world. The entrance hall was enormous with soaring ceilings and giant dinosaur skeletons towering above. I could hardly contain my excitement! Our first stop was the Dinosaur Exhibit. It was like stepping back in time millions of years! The centerpiece was the massive skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Its huge jaws with dagger-like teeth made my heart race. I imagined this ferocious predator roaming the Earth and hunting its prey. The exhibit hadrecreations of the landscapes dinosaurs lived in, with artificial trees, lakes, and even artificial volcanic smoke. It felt so real!Next, we visited the Gems and Minerals section which was absolutely dazzling. There were displays of all kinds of precious and semi-precious stones like diamonds, rubies, emeralds, amethysts and more. The colors were so vibrant and the gems glistened under the spotlights. I learned that some gems are rarer and more valuable than others based on their color, clarity and size. My favorite was the "Stars of Africa" display with two of the largest cut diamonds in the world. After that we went to the Ancient Egypt area to see the mummies and treasures from the tombs of pharaohs. The most famous artifact was the golden mask of King Tutankhamun. Our guide told us how this "Boy King" ruled Egypt over 3,000 years ago when he was just a child. I was amazed by the craftsmanship and detail of the hieroglyphs and carvings decorating the coffins and jewelery from so long ago.We took a break for lunch at the museum café. I had a kid's meal with chicken nuggets, fries and a chocolate brownie for dessert. After refueling, we headed to the Ocean Life displays. There were huge model whales, dolphins and sharks hanging from the ceiling. The centerpiece was a full-size model of amassive Blue Whale, the largest animal on Earth! I couldn't believe how big it was. There were also lots of displays of different shells, coral, and other marine life.Next up was the Rainforest Exhibit which absolutely blew my mind! It was like walking into an actual tropical rainforest with a looming canopy above us, the sounds of birds and rustling leaves all around. There were free-roaming birds and butterflies flitting about. The exhibit taught me how diverse and important rainforests are as habitats for millions of species. We ended our museum journey at the Space and Astronomy section. It had pieces of real meteorites that fell to Earth which were amazing to see. There were scale models of the planets and moons in our solar system and hi-tech displays about telescopes, the universe's origins, black holes and more. I felt so small looking at images of the vast expanses of space.By the end of the day, my brain was filled with so much new knowledge about our world and universe. I was tired but absolutely thrilled by all the incredible sights and exhibits. A visit to a great museum like this one really sparks your curiosity and imagination. I know I'll remember this day for the rest of my life. I just wish I could have spent even more time exploring!篇4My Favorite PetPets are the best companions a kid could ask for! They provide unconditional love, endless fun, and teach us valuable lessons about responsibility. Of all the awesome pets out there, my favorite has to be my guinea pig, Nibbles.I first met Nibbles at the pet store about two years ago. The moment I laid eyes on his adorable furry face and watched him munch happily on a piece of lettuce, I knew he was the one for me. My parents agreed to let me adopt him after I promised to take good care of the little guy. Little did they know just how much joy and excitement Nibbles would bring into our lives! When we brought Nibbles home, I was amazed by how quickly he adapted to his new environment. Within a few days, he was happily scurrying around his cage, squeaking excitedly whenever I approached with fresh vegetables or treats. I loved watching him explore every nook and cranny, his tiny paws pattering across the bedding and his nose twitching curiously. As the weeks went by, Nibbles and I formed an unbreakable bond. I made sure to clean his cage regularly, provide him with plenty of fresh hay and water, and give him ample time outsideto run and play. In return, Nibbles would greet me with cheerful squeaks and eager nudges, always eager for cuddles and playtime. One of my favorite things about Nibbles is his playful personality. He loves to explore new toys and obstacles, often finding creative ways to rearrange his cage accessories. I'll never forget the time I found him contentedly munching on a piece of cardboard tubing while sitting atop his upside-down food bowl. His antics never fail to make me laugh! But Nibbles isn't just a fun companion; he's also taught me valuable lessons about responsibility and empathy. Caring for a pet requires dedication, patience, and a willingness to put another living being's needs before your own. I've learned to be attentive to Nibbles' needs, whether it's ensuring he has enough food and water or recognizing when he's feeling under the weather. Moreover, Nibbles has helped me develop a deeper appreciation for all living creatures, big and small. Watching him interact with his environment and express his unique personality has opened my eyes to the richness and diversity of life on our planet. I've become more mindful of my impact on the worldaround me, striving to be a responsible steward of the environment for the sake of animals like Nibbles. As I look back on the past two years with Nibbles, I'm filled with gratitude for the joy and companionship he's brought into my life. He's been a constant source of comfort and laughter, even during the most difficult times. And while I know that guinea pigs don't live as long as some other pets, I cherish every moment I have with my furry little friend. To any kid out there considering getting a pet, I wholeheartedly recommend a guinea pig like Nibbles. They're relatively low-maintenance, endlessly entertaining, and teach valuable life lessons about caring for another living being. Just be prepared for lots of squeaks, nibbles, and unconditional love!篇5My Favorite Season: SummerSummer is my favorite season of the year, and I always look forward to it with great excitement! There are so many fun things to do and enjoy during the warm, sunny days of summer. Let me tell you all about why I love this season so much!First of all, summer means no school! After a long year of studying, homework, and early mornings, it's such a relief to have a break from it all. I get to sleep in late, stay up watching movies or playing video games, and don't have to worry about any schoolwork or tests. It's pure freedom!During the summer, my family and I love going on vacations and trips. We usually go to the beach for a week or two, where I can swim in the ocean, build sandcastles, and soak up the sun. The feeling of the warm sand between my toes and the sound of the crashing waves is so relaxing. Sometimes we go camping in the mountains too, which is a lot of fun. We go hiking, tell spooky stories around the campfire, and sleep under the stars. No matter where we go, it's always a great adventure.Summer is also the perfect time for outdoor activities and sports. I really enjoy playing basketball, soccer, or just running around with my friends at the park or in the backyard. We have no concern for the hot weather because we can always cool off by having a water balloon fight or running through the sprinklers. Popsicles and ice cream are a must during those sweltering summer days!Another thing I adore about summer is all the delicious fruits and vegetables that are in season. My mouth waters just thinkingabout biting into a juicy watermelon, a perfectly ripe peach, or corn on the cob dripping with butter. Summer cookouts are the best, with hamburgers and hot dogs sizzling on the grill. And who can forget about s'mores made over the campfire? Heavenly! While I do enjoy the other seasons for different reasons, summer will always be my number one favorite. The long, sunny days filled with fun activities, tasty treats, and no school whatsoever make it hard to beat. Those warm, carefree months are what childhood memories are made of. I cherish every moment and make the most of each summer before it slips away. Bring on the sunshine, swimming pools, and endless adventures – this kid is ready for summer!篇6My Favourite Animal - The Majestic LionEver since I was a little kid, I have been fascinated by the magnificent lions. Their golden manes, powerful roars, and regal demeanour have always captivated me. Whenever I visit the zoo or watch a documentary about these incredible creatures, I find myself completely mesmerised. As a fifth-grader, I've learned quite a bit about lions in my science and English classes. Did you know that lions are the only cats that live in family groups called prides? A pride typically consists of a few adult males, several females, and their cubs. It's incredible how they work together to hunt, protect their territory, and raise their young. One of the most fascinating aspects of lion behaviour is their hunting strategies. Lions are apex predators, meaning they are at the top of the food chain. They primarily prey on large animals like zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes. What's amazing is how the lionesses coordinate their attacks. They often work together, using their camouflage and stealth to sneak up on their unsuspecting prey. Once they are close enough, they launch a lightning-fast ambush, using their powerful jaws and sharp claws to take down their target. While the lionesses are the primary hunters, the males play a crucial role in protecting the pride and their territory. With their impressive manes and deep roars, the male lions are trulyawe-inspiring. Their roars can be heard from up to five miles away, warning other lions to stay away from their territory. It's no wonder that the lion is often referred to as the "King of the Jungle" (even though they don't actually live in jungles!).One of my favorite things about lions is how affectionate they are with their family members. Despite their fierce reputation, lionesses are incredibly nurturing and protective of their cubs. They teach them how to hunt, play, and survive in the wild. It's heartwarming to watch the cubs playfully pounce on each other and snuggle up to their mothers.Unfortunately, lions are facing many threats in the wild. Their habitats are shrinking due to human encroachment, and they are often hunted for their body parts or trophies. It's a sad reality that these magnificent creatures are becoming increasingly endangered. That's why I believe it's so important to support conservation efforts and protect their natural habitats.Whenever I read or learn about lions, I can't help but feel a sense of awe and respect for these incredible animals. They are truly the epitome of strength, courage, and family bonds. I hope that one day, I'll have the opportunity to witness their majesty in the wild, and that future generations will be able to appreciate their beauty and significance. In conclusion, lions are not just ordinary animals; they are the embodiment of power, grace, and resilience. Their unique social structure, hunting strategies, and protective nature make them truly remarkable creatures. As a fifth-grader, I feelfortunate to have learned so much about these magnificent beings, and I hope that my fascination with them will only continue to grow as I get older.。

The篇2Holidays – The Best Time of the Year!Holidays are the best time of the year for kids like me! We get a break from school and get to do lots of fun things. There are so many different holidays throughout the year, and each one is special in its own way.My favorite holiday is definitely Christmas. I love everything about it – the decorations, the music, the presents, and spending time with family. A few weeks before Christmas, my family puts up our tree and decorates the house with lights, tinsel, and ornaments. It's so pretty! We also bake lots of yummy Christmas cookies and treats. On Christmas Eve, we go to my grandparents' house for a big dinner. After we eat, we come home, put out milk and cookies for Santa, and then it's off to bed. I can hardly sleep because I'm so excited for the morning! When I wake up and run downstairs, there are always presents under the tree. My parents say Santa came while we were sleeping. I love opening the brightly wrapped gifts and seeing what Santa brought me. The best part is spending the whole day in my pajamas, playing with my new toys!Another holiday I really enjoy is Halloween. A few weeks before, my mom takes me to the store to pick out a costume. I've been lots of different things – a superhero, a pirate, a wizard. I love dressing up! The neighbors give us candy and we keep going until our bags are full. Afterwards, we have a party, bob for apples, and my friends and I trade our favorite candies. My little brother and I race to find them first. It's an Easter "egg"stravaganza! We also get Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny with chocolates, jelly beans, and little toys. My mom and I spend a whole day baking dozens of cookies in funshapes like trees, stars, and Santa Claus. I basically just eat cookies nonstop for a week straight.Halloween is pretty great too. Getting to dress up in a costume is so fun. One year I was a ninja, another year I went as Harry Potter. This year I want to be either Spiderman or a wizard.I also love carving pumpkins. And no summer is complete without roasting marshmallows around a campfire and making s'mores! On the 4th of July, we always have a big barbecue and set off fireworks at night. The fireworks are so colorful and sparkly. My dad lets me light some of the smaller ones, which is pretty nerve-wracking but awesome. I could paint a picture with words of the salty air, hot sand, and magical sunsets.Summer is also the season of adventure. My friends and I go on photography scavenger hunts around town, kayak on the lake, and explore hiking trails in the woods. I could recount our most epic summer escapades and all the funny things that happened. No matter what holiday or season, there are endless stories and perspectives to write about! Holidays are packed with traditions, special foods, spending time with loved ones, creating new memories, and of course, no school. Those are some prompts to get started describing all the awesome holiday festivities, excitement, and fun. I hope they provide ideas for amazing personal narratives, stories, and more!篇6Holidays are the Best Time of the Year!Holidays are my favorite time of year! There's no school, I get to sleep in late, and there's always lots of fun activities and yummy treats. Every holiday is special in its own way.ChristmasChristmas is probably the most exciting holiday of all. I love putting up the Christmas tree and decorating it with all the shiny ornaments and twinkling lights. My family has a tradition where we make popcorn strings and paper chains to hang on the tree too. It's so much fun!On Christmas Eve, we leave out milk and cookies for Santa. I always try to stay up late to see if I can hear his reindeer on the roof, but I never make it! In the morning, there are presents under the tree from Santa. The best part is opening them up to see what surprises are inside.I also love seeing all the festive lights and decorations around town. My family drives around at night sometimes to look at all the cool light displays people put up. Some people get really creative and do elaborate light shows synchronized to music!New Year'sNew Year's is a time of new beginnings and fresh starts. My family has a tradition of making resolutions and sharing them together. My resolution this year is to keep my room clean (I'm not very good at that!).At midnight on New Year's Eve, we watch the big ball drop in Times Square on TV. When it hits midnight, we pop open sparkling cider, give hugs and kisses, and yell "Happy New Year!" It's a nice way to spend time together as a family and get excited for the new year ahead.Valentine's DayValentine's Day is a fun holiday to celebrate love and friendship. In school, we always decorate paper bags and bring Valentine's cards for our classmates. Some kids even bring little treats like candy or stickers to put in everyone's bags too.At home, I help make Valentine's for my family. We use construction paper, markers, stickers, and whatever else we can find to make creative cards. Sometimes I'll make a big Valentine for my parents and put it somewhere for them to find as a surprise. Of course, I always make sure to get a box of chocolates for my mom too!EasterEaster is a really fun spring holiday with lots of traditions. My church always has big celebrations and an egg hunt for the kids. I get to decorate my own basket or bag, and then go searchingaround the church property for hidden plastic eggs filled with candy and small toys.At home, we dye hard-boiled eggs all different colors using food coloring and vinegar. It's so satisfying when you peel off the crayon or stickers you used as a resist and see the cool patterns. My family also has an egg rolling contest on Easter Sunday to see whose egg can go the farthest without cracking. It gets pretty competitive!Fourth of JulyThe 4th of July is the ultimate summer holiday! My neighborhood has a huge parade every year with marching bands, floats, and people handing out candy. Afterwards, my family has a big backyard barbecue with hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob, and other classic cookout food.Once it gets dark, we go to the local high school to watch the fireworks show. We spread out blankets on the field and wait excitedly as the first fireworks start exploding in beautiful colors across the night sky. The finale is always the most amazing part with nonstop barrages of fireworks lighting up the whole area. It's such an awesome way to celebrate America's birthday!HalloweenHalloween is a holiday just for kids - what's not to love?! I spend weeks coming up with the perfect costume idea and working on putting it all together. My friends and I love coming up with group costume themes and coordinating our outfits. On Halloween night, we go trick-or-treating through the neighborhood knocking on doors and yelling "Trick or treat!" Hopefully we get lots of full-size candy bars instead of justfun-size candies. At the end of the night, we get to sort through our loot, trade with friends, and eat way too much sugar. There's also always a Halloween party at school with games, crafts, and a costume parade. I love getting to show off my creative costume to everyone! We bob for apples, have mummy wrapping races, and other classic Halloween activities. It's such a fun way to celebrate the spooky holiday.ThanksgivingThanksgiving is a time to get together with family, reflect on what we're thankful for, and eat lots of delicious food! My favorite part is helping my mom and grandma in the kitchen. I get to mash the potatoes, make the stuffing, and baste the turkey to help get everything ready for our big feast.Once everything is cooked, we all gather around the table and take turns sharing what we're thankful for this year. It's really nice hearing everyone's thoughts. Of course, my answer is usually that I'm thankful for my wonderful family! After we've stuffed ourselves silly, we settle in to watch the big football games and movies together. Sometimes we'll play board games or go for a walk to work off some of those calories too. Just being together and relaxing with my family is the best part.No matter what holiday it is, I always look forward to the fun traditions, yummy treats, and quality time spent with my loved ones. Holidays are truly the most wonderful times of the year!。

五年级英语暑假作文素材集锦
五年级英语暑假作文素材集锦五年级英语暑假作文素材集锦I am Li Ming of Senior Three, Guangming Middle School.I am writing to tell you about some symptoms of anxiety among us students before exams. Most of us feel nervous whenever we’re taking an important exam. Some will feel dizzy or tired, some will suffer from lack of sleep, and some will lose their appetite. In fact, all these symptoms have terrible effects on our exams and we are all eager to get rid of them.First of all, in my opinion, it’s important for us to have a fight attitude towards exams. They are only a means of checking how we are getting along with our studies, so there is no need to worry too much about the results. Study hard every day and make careful plans for every exam. In this way we can avoid suffering from the pressure of exams.Besides, enough sleep can make us energetic and enable us to perform well in an exam. Therefore, during the period of exams, we should not stay up too late. We can also try a warm bath or a cup of warm milk before going to bed. They might help us to have a sound sleep.(We’d better go out for a walk or do some outdoor exercises before and during an exam so that we can keep ourselves relaxed and then concentrate ourselves on exams.)The Chinese character "fu" (meaning blessing or happiness) is a must. The character put on paper can be pasted normally or upside down, for in Chinese the "reversed fu" is homophonic with "fu es", both being pronounced as "fudaole." What's more, two big red lanterns can be raised on both sides of the front door. Red paper-cuttings can be seen on window glass and brightly colored New Year paintings with auspicious meanings may be put on the wall.People attach great importance to Spring Festival Eve. At that time, all family members eat dinner together. The meal is more luxurious than usual. Dishes such as chicken, fish and bean curd cannot be excluded, for in Chinese, their pronunciations, respectively "ji", "yu" and "doufu," mean auspiciousness, abundance and richness. After the dinner, the whole family will sit together, chatting and watching TV. In recent years, the Spring Festival party broadcast on China Central Television Station (CCTV) is essential entertainment for the Chinese both at home and abroad. Aording to custom, each family will stay up to see the New Year in.Computers started to bee popular with big panies in the 1960s.ComputerYou’ve probably known about puters your whole life. But puters have not really been around for very long. Engineers use puters to make cars, trucks, and airplanes. Architects use puters to design houses and other buildings. The police use puters to track down criminals. The military uses puters to make and read coded messages. The Chinese New Year has a great history. In our past, people lived in an agricultural society and worked all year long. They only took a break after the harvest and before the planting of seeds. This happens to coincide with the beginning of the lunar New Year. The Chinese New Year is very similar to the Western one, rich in traditions, folklores and rituals. It has been saidthat it is a bination of the Western Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. This is hardly an exaggeration! The origin of the Chinese New Year itself is centuries old - in fact, too old to actually be traced. It is popularly recognized as the Spring Festival and celebrations last 15 days.Preparations tend to begin a month before the date of the Chinese New Year (similar to a Western Christmas). During this time people start buying presents, decoration materials, food and clothing. A huge clean-up gets underway days before the New Year, when Chinese houses are cleaned from top to bottom. This ritual is supposed to sweep away all traces of bad luck. Doors and windowpanes are often given a new coat of paint, usually red, then decorated with paper cuts and couplets with themes such as happiness, wealth and longevity printed on them. The end of the New Year is marked by the Festival of Lanterns, which is a celebration with singing, dancing and lantern shows. At the Festival, all traditions are honored. The predominant colors are red and gold. "Good Wish" banners are hung from the ceilings and walls. The "God of Fortune" is there to give Hong Baos. Lion dancers perform on stage continuously. Visitors take home plants and flowers symbolizing good luck. An array of New Years specialty foodis available in the Food Market. Visitors purchase new clothing, shoes and pottery at the Market Fair. Bargaining for the best deal is monplace! My hobby is fishing. I am fond of going fishing, for it is both interesting and iastructive-It tempers my willpower. Last Sunday I went fishing with my friend, He Ping. We started at daybreak. After three hours' cycling, we arrived at the outskirts of Hefei and came to a stream. The wateris clear and clean. One can see fish swimming. The meadow sprinkled with buttercups slopes to the stream. It is agood place for fishing. In a few minutes everything was ready. Putting the bait of earthworms on the hook, dropping the hue into the strum, we sat there fishing with rod in hand. An hour passed. Idid not catch a single fish. I lifted the fishing rod time and again. Time and again I was disappointed. There was no fish on the hook. On the other side of the stream, He Ping had caught several fish, one of which was very big."How es it that you catch fish casily while it is so difficult for me?" I asked."it's easy. Only you need Io be patient." He Ping answered. "Make sure that you lift the fishing rod when the whole flat has sunk. I'm sure a fish will greet you on the hook."After a while the floats were swinging. I kept my breath and waked. The floats became still again. "Come on my hook, dear fish." I was saying to myself. In a moment the floats swang again and then sank abruptly, Just at that moment I lifted my fishing rod. To my delight I caught a fish. Grlnning, I took it off the hook. This gave me a great revelation(启示):Stamina(毅力) is what we need to achieve suess. And it is more important to young people who usually lack it.。

小学五年级下半学期英语作文范文
小学五年级下半学期英语作文范文My Summer Vacation PlansSummer is finally here and I can't wait for school to be over! I have so many fun plans lined up for these next few months off. First up, I'm going to sleep in every single day. No more waking up at 6am for the bus! During the school year, I'm always so tired from having to wake up super early. Summer means I get to sleep as late as I want. My parents might try to enforce some kind of bedtime, but we'll see how long that lasts.Once I've caught up on all my missed sleep, it will be pool and beach time! My family has a membership to the community pool and I plan on going there as much as possible. I'll spend hours swimming laps, playing pool games with my friends, and working on my tan. I'm also really looking forward to our annual beach vacation. We always go to the same beach town and stay in the same little beach house right by the ocean. I love falling asleep to the sound of the crashing waves at night. My days at the beach will be packed full of fun activities. Before it gets too hot, I'll go beach combing and look for cool shells and shark teeth. I have a little collection going that I add to each year. Once the sun is high in the sky, you'll find me ridingthe waves on my boogie board. The bigger the waves, the better! I'm going to ask my parents if I can finally take surfing lessons this year too. In the late afternoon when the sun isn't as strong, my family will have a game of beach volleyball or soccer going. We take it pretty seriously and keep score!Of course, no summer is complete without squeezing in as much videogame time as possible too. There are a bunch of new games I've had my eye on that I'll finally have time to play through. I plan on having lots of videogame marathons with my friends where we'll order pizza and snacks and game all day and night long. Summertime means not having to worry about bedtimes or homework, so why not take advantage? In between all the lazy days by the pool or gaming sessions, I'm also hoping to find a fun summer job or volunteer opportunity. I'm too young to be hired for most jobs, but maybe I could be a mother's helper or do yard work for some neighbors. At the very least, I want to get volunteer hours over the summer. Last year I volunteered at the local animal shelter and it was really rewarding taking care of the dogs and cats. I loved playing with them and giving them attention. This year, maybe I'll look into volunteer opportunities at a nursing home or hospital. Itwould be great to spend time with people who don't have many visitors.Towards the end of the summer, my family always takes a trip to hike and camp in the mountains. It's a nice change of scenery from the beach and pool days. We'll go on long hikes to beautiful waterfalls and spend nights sleeping under the stars.I've really grown to love these camping trips because it means completely unplugging from technology and being out in nature. Don't get me wrong, I'll still sneak my Nintendo Switch in my backpack for nighttime gaming! But it's good to get away from all the screens and just be present.Speaking of unplugging, one of my biggest goals for this summer is to finally read all the books I've had piling up on my nightstand. You know that feeling when you read an amazing book and you get totally transported into another world? That's what I'm chasing this summer. I have my eye on some exciting fantasy novels and action-packed stories. Maybe I'll even write a book of my own and join a creative writing camp. There are so many possibilities!Overall, I'm just looking forward to a summer filled with adventures, fun with friends, making memories with my family, and a whole lot of freedom from school responsibilities. Don'tget me wrong, I do actually like school for the most part. But there's nothing better than that feeling of pure summer bliss without a single test, homework assignment or obligation in sight. Here's to making the most of these next three months before reality kicks back in! Soak up that sunshine and enjoy every lazy day. That's what summer is all about.。

五年级英语暑假作文My Summer Vacation。
I had a wonderful summer vacation this year. My family and I went to the beach fora week. We stayed in a beautiful hotel right on the beach. The weather was perfect, and we had a great time playing in the sand and swimming in the ocean. One day, we went on a boat ride and saw dolphins jumping in the water. It was so exciting! We also went snorkeling and saw colorful fish and coral reefs. 网络不文明用语 The Uncivilized Internet Words
Nowadays, as the development of the Internet, people count on the computer so much. They use the computer to communicate with others, scan the instant news or do their work. Internet provides
people a large stage to share their opinion. But the problem comes, as the law about the Internet is not that complete, so some people say what that they want, even attack others. They are not
afraid, because there is no law can punish them. Internet language sometimes is like another form of violence, the celebrities are easily becoming the targets for people to attack. The small
contradiction can be enlarged by the uncivilized words and someone will be criticized by the public. They are under great pressure and people don’t
have to undertake it originally. We should
watch out our Internet words, never try to hurt others. Remember the moral regulations.
The Heavy Homework
Many years ago, when students went home after school, they had less time to play, because the teachers gave them a lot of homework. I remembered at that time, my sister worked so hard to
finish the homework, she wrote it quickly when she arrived home. After supper, she continued to finish her homework. I felt she worked too hard, she deserved to have some time to play, but she
didn’t. Not long after that time, the government had made some reform, the students don’t have to burden so much homework, they can have time to play. Now students can enjoy playing games with
friends after school, I think play and study should be contained.
