主题句有两个效用:①介绍段落的主题(Topic);②阐述控制概念(Controlling idea),控制概念用以控制段落中句子讨论的内容。

主题句通常是一段的第一句或末尾一句,偶尔在一段中间。

我们在阅读非故事性文章如科普文章的时候,主题句尤其明显。

有的文章无明显的主题句,主题句隐含在段意之中。

1.主题句位于段首主题句位于段首是由作者先立论,后摆事实、讲道理的写作手法形成的。

这种段落称作演绎型段落。

一、文章结构识别法;很多文章的结构,例如议论文、科普文,都是总-分-分或者分-分-总。

三、解题对策1.通读全文,识别主题句。

我们应先通读全文,掌握大意,然后识别能够统领和概括文意的核心句子即主题句。

准确找出主题句,再从选项中选出与主题句相呼应的选项,是最有效的解题方法。

(1)主题句的特点。

主题句通常有三个特点:A.概括性。

它浓缩了文章的整体内容;B.统一性。

即与整个文章在意思上保持高度统一,而非矛盾或排斥关系;C.简洁性。

句子结构简单明了,少有长句或难句。

(2)主题句的位置。

有的作者在开篇时直接点明主题,再演绎事实,因此主题句便出现在文章之首;有的作者先摆事实,再做结论,主题句便出现在文末;有的作者先从事实入手, 开展到结论,然而意犹未尽,进一步用细节支撑结论,主题句便出现在文章中间。

常见的提问方式是:What is the text mainly about?或Which of the following can be the best title for the text?方法1 文章大意总结法文章大意,就是对整篇文章的主旨大意进行提炼概括。

主要考查学生对整篇文章主旨大意的理解归纳能力。
