小学六年级英语作文看图写话端午节
小学六年级英语作文看图写话端午节全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Dragon Boat Festival Fun!Yay, it was Dragon Boat Festival again! This is one of my favorite holidays. I love eating all the delicious food and watching the exciting dragon boat races. Let me tell you all about the fun things I did to celebrate.First, I helped my mom make zongzi, which are those yummy bamboo leaf-wrapped rice dumplings. We made two different kinds - savory ones filled with pork, mushrooms and salted egg yolk, and sweet ones with red bean paste and sticky rice. Mmm, they smelled so good while cooking! Wrapping the zongzi is kind of tricky but after a few tries I got the hang of it. We made a huge batch to give out to our family and friends. The day before the festival, my dad took me to the park near our house to watch the dragon boat teams practice. The dragon boats are these long narrow boats that kind of look like dragons, with a dragon head at the front. They have a drummer at the front beating a drum to keep all the rowers in rhythm as theypaddle really fast through the water. The teams were shouting chants and the drums were pounding - it was so intense and exciting! I can't wait to see the actual races. On the morning of Dragon Boat Festival, my whole family got up super early. We put on our holiday clothes - I wore a shirt with a cool dragon pattern. Then we walked down to the river to watch the dragon boat race finals. The riverbanks were absolutely packed with people cheering and waving flags. There were food vendors selling zongzi, candied fruit, and other snacks.I got a dragon sugar sculpture to nibble on and it was delicious. The dragon boat races were amazing. The long skinny boats just sliced through the water as the rowers paddled furiously. The drummers shouted out rhythms and the crowd screamed and cheered. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! The blue dragon boat ended up winning and the team raised their oars in the air in victory. After the races, we went to have zongzi and other good luck foods with my grandparents.Later that afternoon, my cousins came over to my house and we had a competition to see who could eat zongzi the fastest without getting sticky rice all over our faces. It was a hilarious sticky mess but so much fun! My aunt brought these cool miniature dragon boats made out of fruit and we pretended torace them across the table. For dinner, we had a delicious feast of chicken, noodles, veggies and more zongzi. At night, we went to watch an awesome Dragon Boat Festival concert in the park. There were dancers dressed as dragons moving to drums and cymbals, along with singers and traditional instruments. Some performers stood on tall wooden poles swaying and doing tricks! Then at the end, there were fireworks bursting in the shapes of dragons and phoenixes over the lake. It was breathtaking.Dragon Boat Festival is the best! I love the exciting dragon boat races, delicious foods like zongzi, fun activities with family, and vibrant performances. I can't wait until next year to celebrate again. What a fun way to kick off the summer!篇2The Dragon Boat FestivalWow, the Dragon Boat Festival is one of my favorite holidays!I love all the excitement, the decorations, and especially the delicious zongzi dumplings we eat. Let me tell you all about this fun celebration. The Dragon Boat Festival happens on the 5th day of the 5th month of the lunar calendar. That's why it's also called the Double Fifth Festival. It commemorates the life and death of Qu Yuan, a famous poet from ancient China. The story goes that Qu Yuan was a loyal minister who got exiled after some mean people lied about him to the king. Qu Yuan felt so sad that he drowned himself in the Miluo River. When the local people heard the news, they rushed out in boats to try and save him. They beat drums and splashed the water with their paddles to scare away the evil spirits and water monsters. They also threw rice dumplings into the river so the fish wouldn't eat Qu Yuan's body.Even though the people couldn't save Qu Yuan, the traditions from that day became what we now celebrate as the Dragon Boat Festival. Eating rice dumplings called zongzi is probably the most iconic part. Zongzi are made from sticky rice stuffed with different fillings like red bean paste, pork, salted egg yolks, and more. They get wrapped up tightly in bamboo or reed leaves shaped into pyramids or rectangles. My favorite kind has a salty egg yolk inside surrounded by savory pork and mushroom filling. So yummy!Another big tradition is dragon boat racing. These are super long boats that have a carved dragon head at the front and a tailat the back. They can fit around 20 paddlers who row together to the beat of a drum. The boats look so cool slicing through the water! There are usually races between different teams to see who is the fastest. Everybody cheers really loudly to encourage the rowers. I went to watch the dragon boat races in the park lake last year and it was an awesome spectacle.People also hang up zongzi leaf decorations shaped like triangular pyramids around their homes and restaurants for the festival. They're made by weaving the dried bamboo or reed leaves into cool patterns. In Chinese culture, they symbolize prosperity and peace. You'll see them everywhere you go during this time of year!Another fun Dragon Boat Festival activity is making spicy sauces and seasonings to go with your zongzi dumplings. Every family has their own secret recipe that gets passed down. My grandma makes this tongue-tinglingly delicious sauce from fermented soy beans, garlic, chilies, and secret spices. We always look forward to enjoying zongzi with her homemade sauce each year.I love how this holiday celebrates Chinese history, culture, and cuisine all at once. The racing is exciting to watch, the food is incredible, and the decorations are beautiful works of art. Plus, the story behind the festival teaches important lessons about loyalty, mourning the dead, and respecting scholars and officials. I'm really lucky I grew up celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival every year. It's one of the coolest parts of my Chinese heritage that I'm proud to share with all my friends!篇3The Exciting Duanwu FestivalEvery year, I look forward to the Duanwu Festival! It's one of my favorite days because there are so many fun traditions and delicious foods. The Duanwu Festival celebrates an ancient folk hero named Qu Yuan and the summer solstice. Let me tell you all about the exciting activities! One of the most fun parts is making zongzi, which are pyramid-shaped dumplings made of sticky rice, meat, and other yummy fillings wrapped up in bamboo leaves. My grandma always comes over and we spend the whole day in the kitchen rolling the sticky rice into the bamboo leaves. It's a little tricky to fold them just right, but after some practice I'm getting better every year. The best part is eating them when they're fresh out of the steamer! I like the ones filled with sweet red bean paste the most. My grandma makes sure to set aside a few extras for me.Another cool tradition is drinking realgar wine. Don't worry, it's not actually wine for kids! It's a special drink made from herbs and plants that is supposed to ward off evil spirits and illness. The adults say it tastes really bitter, but I think it's kind of fun to make pretend toasts with the bright yellow drinks. My favorite part of Duanwu Festival is the dragon boat races! These are long narrow boats that cut through the water and the teams row together to the beat of loud drums. Everyone wears bright colors and the boats are decorated with dragon shapes on them. I've never been in a real race before but I dream of being a drummer one day, pounding out the intense rhythms. Just watching from the banks of the river gets my heart racing with excitement! There are also festivals with food stalls, games, and performances that my whole family attends.Speaking of dragons, there are a bunch of other mythical creatures associated with the Duanwu Festival too. Like the immortal man-beast Chenghuangshen who drives away plagues, and the fearsome Xiezi who was supposed to torment babies. I think those legends are so imaginative and creative! Maybe I'll write a story about battling mythical beasts someday.Of course, the Duanwu Festival is also about honoring the poet Qu Yuan. He was a minister who lived during the WarringStates period over 2,000 years ago. Qu Yuan unfortunately fell out of favor with the corrupt king he served, so he walked into the Miluo River holding a rock. The people raced out in boats to try to save him, but it was too late. They beat drums and threw zongzi into the river so the fish wouldn't eat his body. Pretty crazy story, but it makes me appreciate how much literary tradition and history is celebrated during this festival. When I think back on my favorite Duanwu Festival memories, I remember the time my cousin fell into the river during the dragon boat races! We were all gathered on the banks cheering when suddenly there was a huge splash. My cousin had leaned over too far and tumbled right into the water! The whole family was screaming in surprise at first, but then we realized he was totally fine and it became a big joke. My uncle had to jump in and pull him out, and they both emerged soaking wet but laughing. Now every year we re-tell that story and tease my cousin about his swimming skills.Another year, I won a rubber dragon at the festival game booths after knocking down all the милi blocks. I kept it by my bed for good luck, since dragons are supposed to bring power and prosperity. Unfortunately, it got a hole in it and slowly deflated over the next few months. But it turned into an funny, squeaky, floppy dragon instead of being thrown away. I still have it somewhere to remember that joyful day.I could keep reminiscing about Duanwu festivities forever! From start to finish, it's a holiday packed with laughter, family fun, and amazing cultural experiences. I feel so grateful to be part of a community that preserves these ancient folk customs while still making them exciting for kids like me. Who knows, maybe I'll keep up the traditions when I'm older and teach my own kids the art of folding zongzi leaves. Or maybe I'll be a famous dragon boat racer coxswain, barking orders as our team glides across the waters. No matter what, I'll always associate the Duanwu Dragon Boat Festival with cherished childhood memories of eating delectable sticky rice dumplings, watching the colorful boats slice through the river, learning about myths and legends, and most importantly, spending quality time surrounded by my loving family. It's a special piece of my heritage that fills me with joy, wonderment, and pride. I can't wait for the next Duanwu Festival to come around!篇4The Dragon Boat FestivalWow, the Dragon Boat Festival is one of my favorite times of the year! It's a really exciting holiday with so many fun traditions. Let me tell you all about it.The Dragon Boat Festival happens on the 5th day of the 5th month of the lunar calendar. That's why it's also called the Double Fifth Festival. This year it fell on June 18th. The holiday celebrates an ancient Chinese poet and minister named Qu Yuan who lived a really long time ago during the Warring States period. The main traditions of the festival are eating zongzi (sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves), drinking realgar wine, and racing dragon boats. How cool is that - racing boats that look like dragons! I'll tell you more about each of those things.First, zongzi are delicious! They are made of sticky rice stuffed with different fillings like meat, beans, egg yolks, and more. The rice is wrapped up tightly in bamboo or reed leaves in a triangle or rectangle shape. My favorite kinds have sweet fillings like jujube paste, bean paste, or banana. Yum!Zongzi are a big part of the Dragon Boat Festival because of the sad story of Qu Yuan. He was a loyal minister who got exiled after trying to warn his king about some bad advisors. Qu Yuanwas so upset that he drowned himself in the Miluo River. The local people really respected Qu Yuan, so they raced out in boats to try to save him. They beat drums and threw zongzi into the river so the fish wouldn't eat his body. How crazy is that?!Another tradition is drinking realgar wine. Realgar is this bright orange mineral powder that people used to think could ward off evil spirits and bad luck. People mix it into their wine and drink it on Dragon Boat Festival for good health and fortune in the coming year. I'm not allowed to drink it yet since I'm still a kid, but it sure does look really cool and bright orange! The most exciting part of Dragon Boat Festival by far is the dragon boat races! These are big boats that have a dragon head and tail attached to them to make them look like dragons skimming across the water. They're super long - some are up to 100 feet! The boats have a wooden dragon head and tail carved with bright colors and big eyes. So awesome. Each dragon boat has a team with up to 80 paddlers, plus a drummer and someone steering at the back. The paddlers have to row in perfect sync while the drummer beats out a rhythmic pace for them to follow. It's amazing to watch all the brightly decorated boats flying across the water with the paddlers moving as one unit. The atmosphere is electric with all thedrummers pounding and spectators cheering. I went to watch some races this year and it was just incredible. At the festivals there are also lots of other fun activities and performances like Chinese folk dancing, opera shows, stick puppet plays, and eating contests for zongzi and other food. Eating zongzi is actually pretty hard because they are so tightly wrapped - the eating contests are hilarious to watch! People just stuff their faces trying to unwrap and eat as many as possible. My friends and I had a blast at the Dragon Boat Festival events this year. We stuffed ourselves with zongzi, watched the amazing dragon boat races, and saw some really cool cultural performances. I even got to try on a dragon head from one of the real racing boats - it was so heavy! The Dragon Boat Festival has been celebrated in China for over 2,000 years, which is just mind-blowing to think about. All the exciting traditions originated to commemorate the life and death of the noble Qu Yuan. Even after all this time, people still race dragon boats, eat zongzi, and drink realgar wine to honor his memory each year on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month. It's such an amazing festival filled with incredible cultural heritage. I already can't wait until next year's celebrations!篇5The Dragon Boat FestivalYay, it's Dragon Boat Festival time again! This is one of my favorite holidays because there are so many fun things to do and delicious foods to eat. Every year my family gets really excited for the Dragon Boat Festival. We go all out decorating our home with special decorations and making yummy zongzi dumplings together. It's such a great family bonding experience! One of the earliest things we do to get ready for the Dragon Boat Festival is go shopping for all the decorations and ingredients we need. We buy lots of bamboo leaves to wrap the zongzi, plus sticky rice, different kinds of meat and vegetables for the fillings, and bright red string. My mom also buys different decorations like lanterns, dragon boat models, and pictures of Qu Yuan to hang around the house. After we get our supplies, it's zongzi making time! The whole family works together wrapping the sticky rice and fillings into the bamboo leaves and tying them up tightly with the red string. My job is always to help stuff the fillings inside the leaves. I love getting to pick out my favorite ingredients like chicken, mushrooms, and salted egg yolk. Yum! Making the zongzi is hard work but we have so much fun doing it together. While the zongzi are cooking, we decorate the house from top to bottom. We hang the lanterns and dragon boat models all around and put up posters about the history of the festival. This year, I drew my own picture of Qu Yuan to add to the decorations. I love learning about how the festival started to honor the famous poet after he drowned in the river. My parents say we eat zongzi and hold boat races to remember him. Finally, Dragon Boat Festival day arrives! We wake up early and put on our festive clothes with the bright colors and dragon patterns. Then weehead to the park near our house where they are holding the big dragon boat race on the lake. Watching all the teams vigorously paddling their brightly decorated boats is the best part! I cheer so loudly when our city's team races by. Hopefully they will win this year. After the boat races, we go home for a huge Dragon Boat Festival feast with all our favorite foods. We eat the delicious zongzi we made, plus many other tasty dishes. Some of the yummy things we have are baized short grain glutinous rice, Geg Opera hand-grabbing dumplings, Shanghai neibn dumpling soup, and all sorts of fresh seasonal fruits. For dessert, we havesweet sticky rice balls coated in sesame seeds. I eat so much my stomach feels like it might pop! When our bellies are full, we go outside and participate in some of the other Dragon Boat Festival traditions. We decorate our door frame with hung mugwort leaves to bring good luck. Then we light the special centipede-shaped incense and let the smoke waft all through the house to drive out evil spirits. One of my favorite parts is when we throw the zongzi leaf wrappings on the roof because whoever's stay there longest will have a long life. I always hope mine will stay on forever! As the sun sets, we head back to the park to watch the lantern ceremony and fireworks show. Seeing all the beautiful lanterns lighted and flowing down the river is totally mesmerizing. When the fireworks start exploding in the sky with bright colors and loud booming sounds, I feel so excited and happy. The Dragon Boat Festival never disappoints!By the time we get home, I'm absolutely exhausted from a full day of celebrations. I take one last look at all the decorations around the house before going to bed. Spending the Dragon Boat Festival with my family and participating in all the amazing customs makes me feel so lucky to be Chinese. I can't wait to do it all over again next year!篇6The Dragon Boat FestivalWow, the Dragon Boat Festival is one of my favorite holidays! It's a really old Chinese tradition that we celebrate every year on the 5th day of the 5th month on the lunar calendar. This year it falls on June 25th. I love the Dragon Boat Festival because there are so many fun activities and delicious foods!First of all, the biggest event is the dragon boat races. Watching the races is awesome! The boats are soooo long, some of them have up to 80 rowers! The front of the boat has a dragon head carved onto it, and the back has a dragon tail. The rowers have to work together perfectly to paddle at the exact same rhythm and keep the boat moving fast across the water. It's like a dance on the river! The races are really exciting to watch. All the rowers wear special uniforms and try their hardest to win. My favorite part is the drummer — there's one person on each boat whose job is to beat a huge drum to keep the rhythm for the rowers. The drummers' muscles must get soooo tired! If I was a rower, I'd probably pass out from exhaustion. But they make it look easy as they slice through the waves. When I'm not watching the races, I love eating all the yummy festival foods. My absolute favorite are zongzi, which are sticky rice dumplings wrapped up in bamboo leaves. The leaves give the rice a wonderful aroma as it steams. Inside the zongzi there can be all sorts of delicious fillings like pork, mushrooms, eggs, beans, or sweet treats like jujube or red bean paste. Zongzi are kind of like Chinese tamales — the leaves hold in all the flavors and keep everything moist and yummy. I could eat a whole basketful of zongzi! My mom also makes us realgar wine, which is a special sweet rice wine that's drank during the festival. Of course I'm not allowed to have any wine, but the grown-ups sure seem to enjoy it.Another fun tradition is wearing perfume pouches on your clothes for the Dragon Boat Festival. The pouches are made of little embroidered silk bags filled with fragrant herbs and flowers. It's supposed to keep bad smells and evil spirits away. My grandma always gives me and my siblings each a new perfume pouch every year for the festival. I like collecting them and comparing the different designs and scents. This year mine has a cute pattern of little dragons on it and smells like roses and sandalwood. Smells good enough to eat!At night during the Dragon Boat Festival, my family always hangs up lanterns and bundles of fragrant herb plants like mugwort and calamus around the front door and windows. The lanterns symbolize prosperity and brightness, while the herbs are for good health and warding off evil influences. My brother and I have a tradition of running around the neighborhood at night during the festival, looking at all the decorations hung up by our neighbors. It's so beautiful with all the glowing lanterns and sweet herbal smells drifting through the warm evening air. I'll never forget those special nights of celebration with my family. One of the most meaningful parts of the Dragon Boat Festival is remembering the famous poet Qu Yuan. He was a minister who lived a long, long time ago during the Warring States period. Qu Yuan was very loyal to his king and state, but he got exiled for being too honest. While in exile, he wrote many beautiful poems expressing his sadness over leaving his homeland. Eventually, he committed suicide by drowning himself in the Miluo River rather than be disloyal to his state. When the local people heard what happened, they raced out in their boats to look for his body, beating drums to scare away evil spirits and fish. They also dropped zongzi into the river so Qu Yuan's spirit would have something to eat.Ever since then, dragon boat racing and eating zongzi have become huge traditions to honor Qu Yuan's memory and patriotism. Every Dragon Boat Festival, we retell the story of Qu Yuan's noble sacrifice and talent as one of ancient China's greatest poets. My grandpa always dresses up and recites some of Qu Yuan's poems for us on festival day while we listen reverently. Even though the story is very old, I'm proud to be part of a culture with such deep historic roots and values of honor, loyalty and remembrance of our ancestors. The Dragon Boat Festival is way more than just fun and games — it's about coming together as a family and community to celebrate our rich Chinese heritage. I feel so fortunate to be part of these centuries-old traditions that connect me to the past. Eating zongzi, watching the dragon boat races, wearing perfume pouches, hanging lanterns, and commemorating Qu Yuan —these are all special activities that make the Dragon Boat Festival so meaningful and memorable every single year. I can't wait to pass these traditions down to my own kids someday!。
