Other situations may develop between two friends that stem from jealousy, desire for revenge, uncaring parents, etc. Emily Bront?#39;s Wuthering Heights displays several characteristics of destructive relationships. Three of these are uncaring parents, marriage without knowing the person, and jealousy.Uncaring or unsympathizing parents are shown throughout this story to be an element of destructive relationships. Because Heathcliff gained all the attention from Mr. Earnshaw, Hindley became disassociated from his father. This separation continued until after Mr. Earnshaw had died.Another example is between Hindley and Hareton. Hindley became such a drunk and a gambler that he could not properly care for young Hareton. This led to a separation between Hareton and his father as well. One primary example of an uncaring parent is shown between Heathcliff and his son Linton.Heathcliff did not even want his son for anything except enacting a part of his revenge. This is shown by Linton#39;s fear of Heathcliff and Heathcliff#39;s enmity toward his son. Linton even says 。

This semester the teacher asked us to read the little prince, and my mother gave me a sound reading of the little prince. I took a week to finish it. Of course, when I was in school, I would read the book as soon as I had time. I think the book "Little Prince" is right to me. It is a great inspiration. The little prince, the protagonist of the book, is a child. He is called the little prince. He comes up from a very small planet and meets a pilot who is repairing his ship. The little prince lets the pilot help him to draw a lamb. Finally, they become a good friend. At that time, the little prince knew nothing about the outside world. The pilot advised him to come back to every planet and learn something. The little prince accepted the pilot's advice. He came to the king's planet, the wine planet, the planet of the merchant, the planet of the light husband, the planet and the earth of the learned man, the little prince. He came to every planet hard and learned knowledge conscientiously. He learned a lot of knowledge, too. After reading this book, I was deeply attracted by the story of the little prince. At the same time, I was moved by the spirit of the little prince's perseverance and learning. I think I would also be a good student who persevered and loved learning.名著读后感英文版篇4The author later said that the earth is the collection of the former several kinds of people, which is too obscure. There are too many "normal people" to be worn out by the secular and sharp corners of the world, carefully grinding themselves and others, from "square" to "round", to get along with each other, not only to protect themselves from scratch, nor to leave traces on others, how perfect the way of the world! But it's not life! It's not for living alone, but for survival. The relationship between the fox and the little prince is enviable, as the fox said, "to you, I'm just a fox, like millions of foxes, and once you make me tame, we are indispensable to each other. The golden wheat will remind me of you, so I will fall in love with the wind through the wheat......"All this is wonderful because it is valuable for both parties to have transparent mind. Some people say that the little prince has changed in his journey, but I do not agree. Love makes people understand happiness and sadness, and at the same time make people get rid of loneliness and make life full of interest and meaning. The little prince understood this, and said to me, "if you fall in love with a flower growing on a star, then at night, you look at the sky sweet and happy, and all the stars seem to have flowers." So he chose to return to his planet.名著读后感英文版篇5I read "the little prince", a book about a prince coming from the B612 asteroid to travel to 7 planets. In his journey, he met a variety of different people: the king of his own orders, the vain of his own, the drinker who forgot his own embarrassment; the possession of the star. A star who never stops, a strange lighting merchant and a geographer. Finally, the little prince came to earth. On earth, he met a snake first. The snake told the little prince that it would help him back to his planet. Then he met the fox and domesticated it. Then the little prince met the pilot in the desert in the desert. He lived in the desert with the pilot, and the little prince thought in the end. When he came home, he let thesnake bite himself. So the little prince returned to his planet. After reading this book, I know a truth: man can only observe and feel with his heart. You know, it is impossible to see the essence of things by the naked eye, and we must know that we cannot only be ourselves, but be responsible. For example, there are many Chinese and Chinese turtle in the world, but only mine is unique, because only it is I taming, so it is unique. Remember, whatever you have cultivated and domesticated, you are responsible for them. It takes time for you to make things important for you.I like the book "Little Prince". I prefer the little prince because he is a good and happy man.名著读后感英文版篇6I saw a book in the bookstore a few days ago. The title of the book was that the little prince just saw this book and I loved it deeply. My mother saw that I liked it so much that I bought it.The little prince was written by Anthony de Sanashbury in France. The little prince written by Anthony de Sanashbury was published in 1943. This story mainly talks about a little prince living on a distant planet. He lives together with the flowers. Love and tolerance undulate in his heart. So he left his planet with sadness and left his beloved rose. The little prince traveled to a lot of planets, where the king of control, the self righteous drunkard, the mercenary businessman, the man who was loyal to his duty, the dogmatism of the geographers... The little prince is more sad. He doesn't understand what they are pursuing. Right? Vanity? Interests? Fossilized knowledge? At last, the little prince came to the earth. The little prince understood his love -- owning his own rose and having his own world. In order to return to see the rose, the little prince abandoned his body and went back to his planet to protect his love -- rose.I like this book very much. After reading this book, I know a lot about the truth of life, and I know that adults also do wrong things. So we must always keep this pure heart in the process of growing up, so that we can find what we are really looking for. 名著读后感英文版篇7A few days ago, my mother bought me a book "Little Prince".I like this book very much, so long as I get home, I will read it whenever I have time. After reading the book "Little Prince", I got a lot of inspiration from it.The whole book is like this: once a little prince lived on a planet that was only one of him, watering his roses every day. Later, the little prince left the planet to travel, and saw a lot of other strange stars on other planets. He came to the earth and saw a pilot in a desert. The little prince had deep friendship with the pilot, but he missed his rose very much. In order to leave the earth, the little prince was bitten by a snake, then the pilots have never seen him. After reading this book, I finally understood what a pure mind is. The little prince loved his rose deeply, so he asked the pilot to bring the mask to the sheep so that the flowers could not be eaten. For him, his rose is different from all the roses on the earth. If the flowers are gone, it is as if all the stars have lost their radiance. I really like the little prince in the book, because he has snow and pure soul. What a sincere feeling this is!I like this book very much, this book teaches me a lot of people, in fact, sometimes the big people do a lot of stupid things, their practice is not always right. I think in our growth process, as long as we keep a pure heart forever, we will find whatwe are really looking for.名著读后感英文版篇8AS is known to all, Pride and Prejudice which was written by a famous English female writer Jane Austen is still a classic in English literature nowadays. Jane Austen who was born and lived her whole life in England wrote six books in her life time. Her novels all described the lifestyle and social communications of families in the countries of England as what she is familiar with. The book Pride and Prejudice is the typical one that fully expressed Jane’s view on marriage and emphasized that the benefit on economic exerts a great influence on marriage. The characters in the novel all had their own opinions on marriage. Mrs. Bennet, for instance, has only one aim-that of finding a good match for each of her five daughters. As for Elizabeth, who is the second daughter in the Bennet family said that only deep love would persuade her to marry which was why she would probably end up an old maid. Lydia and Charlotte, however, were two extremes. The former just married for sex, while the latter married for a comfortable home and protection. There are just so many different characters that were all formed under the society of England in 18’s century. Then, there was filled with unfairness between men and women. Just as what Jane Austen said,”It is a truth universally knowledge, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. ”名著读后感英文版篇9Recently, I read a book called "the wizard of Oz" book, feel good. This book is mainly about: a girl called Rosie was a tornado blew into a strange and wonderful country - the land of Oz, andlost on the way home, where she has met the Scarecrow did not mind, not the heart of iron and a cowardly lion, he in order to realize their wish, help each other, work together, encountered many hardships, strange and eccentric. Eventually, by virtue of their extraordinary intelligence and tenacity, they fulfilled their wishes. In this book, I love the most is Rosie, because she Buweijianxian, lead buddies defeat the wicked witch of the west, to rescue the Munchkins, she is a girl full of justice in the sun. Which I do not love is oz because he cheated the people up to ten years, he has no mana, yet pretend force is infinite, and no one can. Although he was dishonest, fortunately, he finally corrected himself and did his best to help Rosie and his friends' wishes.By reading this book, I understand a truth that friendship is the most important, Rosie to save their dog, stand up and fight the lion, timid is self protection partner, and the ferocious tiger to bear on these examples, all praised the friendship, friendship will be given to you help, friendship will give you strength, from now on, to help others, make friends, let us feel the power of friendship!名著读后感英文版篇10I read a lot of fairy tales, but I was deeply moved by the daughter of the sea.The story tells us that the sea king has a beautiful and kind Mermaid. The mermaid is in love with the handsome prince of the land. In pursuit of love and happiness, the Mermaid will endure great pain, take off the shape of the fish and change the human form. But the prince finally married the women of the world. The witch told the mermaid that the mermaid could goback to the sea and go back to a carefree life as long as the prince was killed and the prince's blood flow to his leg. But for the happiness of the prince, she put herself into the sea and turned into a bubble.I am in the heart of the Mermaid Princess Prince dabaobuping, why is so good, but the Prince did not return her, but she has to the prince's happiness, myself into the sea, into the bubble. And "the prince and the princess live happily together." although this sentence is greasy, it represents a happy ending. Later, I know that the classic masterpiece Romeo and Juliet is also a tragic ending. I understand that the ending of tragedy is not a bad thing. This ending is more implicit, more emotional and more classic. The daughter of sea expresses the mermaid's lofty spirit and beautiful good heart through the mermaid's persistent pursuit of love and the touching story of sacrificing her life at the expense of love. I like the little mermaid more.名著读后感英文版篇11Person's life to go through many muddy rain is rough?I have no idea.Person's life have many valiant record is brilliant?I have no idea. But I know: as long as strong in the face of life, like the wonderful; as long as the effort to do the ordinary life, like the brilliant. She is like an ugly duckling with only ugly duckling abandoned, her childhood humiliation, to never shed a tear. When aunt took her to the orphanage, she also did not give up their own, even if his only friend Helen has died, but she still brave and strong to live, and consciously.Life is wonderful track meet. She get a tutor to do to Thornfield Manor, accidentally metthe owner Mr. Rochester, he is handsome and full of temperament, but the position of the gap is broad, she has no fear, resolutely and ran across the divide and.She is strong, brave pursuit of equality and freedom, even can't harm her Rochester and dignity.A brave man must be harvested, brave people will be bitter, brave man, as a brave man, should be like her - like Jane love.Once I was innocent, I really be light of heart from care. One day I found out, I don't know since when have weakness, want to do not dare to do, to say not to say.I want to join the school contest, but always feel inadequate, the opportunity was taken away.My English is not good, the class also dare not say it out loud.I really want to change myself, but to always have the courage to.名著读后感英文版篇12"A tale of two cities" is one of Dickens's most important representative works. The novel profoundly exposed the society contradiction before the French Revolution, intensely attacks the aristocratic social class is dissolute and cruel, and sincerely sympathizes with the depressed classes. The novel also described many magnificent scenes like the revolt people attacked Bastille and so on,which displayed people's great strength. The novel has portrayed many different people. The story is about the self closing Marie and self doubt Colin. They become lively and cheerful under the leadership of the garden, but when they are happy now, Colin's dad appears. His father lived a happy life with Colin and Mary. After reading this book, it makes me feel happy is the book of life. If people lose their happiness, they are like the walking corpse. Without happiness, there is no joy of success, no tears of failure, no treasure after losing, no feeling of all. The garden is born in happiness, in the tragedy of the dust, and in the joy of opening, this is a dramatic change! This whole process is like a fairy tale, a woman in the story, she since her husband died, she put all the relics of husband away, trying to forget him, but her son looks like her husband, so she took her son to others, then she wanted to shut myself you wronged the things at home, think she was angry, think she was angry, finally put himself to death. After reading the "secret garden", I learned: make myself happy! I can't change the world, but at least I can change myself. From now on, I'm going to get rid of my bad problems and make myself happy.名著读后感英文版篇14One of Dickens most enduringly popular stories is Oliver Twist, an early work published 1837-8. Like many of his later novels, its central theme is the hardship faced by the dispossessed and those of the outside of tolite society. Oliver himself is born in a workhouse and treated cruelly there as was the norm at the time for pauper children, in particular by Bumble, a parish council official or eadle The story follows Oliver as he escapes the workhouse and runs away to London. Here he receives an education in villainy from the criminal gang of Fagin that includes the brutal thief Bill Sikes, the famous artful Dodger and Nancy, Bill whore. Oliver is rescued by the intervention of a benefactor - Mr Brownlow - but the mysterious Monks gets the gang to kidnap the boy again. Nancy intervenes but is murdered viciously by Sikes after she has showed some redeeming qualities and has discovered Monk sinister intention. The story closes happily and with justice for Bumble and the cruel Monks who has hidden the truth of Oliver parentage out of malice. Accusations were made that the book glamorised crime (like the ewgate Group of the period) but Dickens wisely disassociated himself from criminal romances. His achievement was in fact in presenting the underworld and problems of poverty to the well-off in a way rarely attempted previously.名著读后感英文版篇15Jane Eyre, is a poor but aspiring, small in body but huge in soul, obscure but self-respecting girl. After we close the covers of the book, after having a long journey of the spirit, Jane Eyre, a marvelous figure, has left us so much to recall and to think: We remember her goodness: for someone who lost arms and blinded in eyes, for someone who despised her for herordinariness, and even for someone who had hurt her deeply in the past.We remember her pursuit of justice. It’s like a companion with the goodness. But still, a virtuous person should promote the goodneon one side and must check the badneon the other side.We remember her self-respect and the clear situation on equality. In her opinion, everyone is the same at the God’s feet. Though there are differences in status、in property and also in appearance, but all the human being are equal in personality. We also remember her striving for life, her toughneand her confidence…When we think of this girl, what she gave us was not a pretty face or a transcendent temperament that make us admire deeply, but a huge charm of her personality. Her story makes us thinking about life and we learn much from her experience, at least, that is a fresh new recognition of the real beauty.名著读后感英文版篇16Pride and Prejudice ", a novel a pleasure to behold, a beautiful and moving story. The article describes a number of daughters Bo Nate story. Ji-an eldest daughter, gentle kind-hearted, beautiful Keren, Bentley and rich kids at first sight, but at the crucial moment has brought a twist. Second daughter, Elizabeth, Qingli intelligent, ambitious, assertive, consistent with the property of the nobility million youth met Darcy. Can be as arrogant Darcy eccentric, Elizabeth for his prejudice are serious, they love but refuse to recognize the obvious, but also continue to hurt each other with words, but fortunately dispelled the last mistake, married lovers.Reading this novel, I have benefited greatly. In our people, there are many very modest, but there are some arrogant people. These arrogant people who sometimes annoying, they have eyes in the head long, others are dismissive. Indeed, the arrogance is a shortcoming in the environment to develop a character.Chinese children from an early age by their parents as holding typical "little emperors." If so has been from small to large, how could it not arrogant? So I think that we should not be arrogant people who have prejudices, but the more soul-searching myself, to see if they have not arrogant, after their own things to learn to no longer allow parents to worry about, tired. As the book said: "Heart of pride in everyone. As long as we have so a little bit of strength, they will feel especially great. But pride and vanity while the same meaning, but in real terms in different kinds of self-pride is a feeling,Vanity will need to involve other people overestimate their own, so people have a pride without vanity, which is justifiable.名著读后感英文版篇17"The New Year's day and the scream" is written by lu xun, and he tells some interesting stories about lu xun's childhood. It depicts the life of the people in the late qing dynasty and the early Ming dynasty."Scream", lu xun portrays the life one after another in the reactionary forces under the hard life of sentiments, lu xun in portraying the character, don't pay attention to money and status, is more of a spiritual ignorance, numbness.Lu xun's life was hard. It is a first-hand account of lu xun's life history, and we may see the complete image of lu xun in the early years. "The battle cry" is the collection of lu xun's short stories from 1918 to 1922. 经典英文读后感篇1This story’s name is “The little prince”。
As it known to all, we will encounter a lot of difficulties, even hardships. Different people may have different ways to deal with them. After reading The Little Princess, I am deeply impressed by Sara’s way to deal with difficulties. The Little Princess was written by Frances Hodgson Burnett, a famous novelist and dramatist. Sara, the heroine of the novel, was born in a rich family. In order to get a better education, her father took her from India to London so that she could go to the best school. Because Sara was kind-hearted, generous and most of all—rich, she was loved by everyone. All went well until her father died in an accident. Everything changed completely. She didn’t understand why the teachers and classmates treated her so badly. Even the principal who used to be fond of her, made her work 16 hours a day. Sara’s miserable life began. When I finished reading the book, I was shocked by what the unimaginable pain Sara had suffered after her father’s death. She used to be a happy, worriless, and rich Princess, but now she was a lonely and poor servant. She had to work very hard without any rest but only had little food. Besides she had to endure the unfriendly and even rude ways that her classmates treated her. All teachers and students in the school looked down upon her. The most important fact is that Sara had lost the love and care of her parents. What a mighty pain!If you were Sara, could you stand such pain? Needless to say,an 11 years old girl, even if it were an adult, he might not put up with it. But to my surprise, Sara faced it bravely.Despite of the torture of the principal and all those pressures above, she still was optimistic towards life. By reading this novel, I felt inspired and think much. When we meet such difficulties, what should we do? Some people always complain that the fate is unfair to them. Some people can’t sustain the hardships and choose to give up. Few of them even try to commit suic ide because they lack the courage to overcome it. Compared with Sara—an eleven years old girl who can treat the pressure of life with optimistic spirit, these people’s performances are sounded so lamentable. Why can’t they make it?However, what impress me most are her characteristics and the thought of her “being a real princess.” This “real princess” does not mean luxury palaces, b eautiful clothes and the apple of the others’ eyes, but being kind, generous and having good manners. It is unnecessary for “a real princess” to be strong in body, but she must be strong in will. Sara is a real princess in my heart all the time, whether she was rich and wore beautiful clothes in the classroom or she was cold and hungry in the attic, just because she had the good characters and kind heart. The story went on. Fortunately, a friend of Sara’s father found her and told her that her father left a great sum of money to her. I pray and believe that every good person in the world deserve a good result, and of course, we are the same.经典英文读后感篇2Here I am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what I have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived myexhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishness of the secular world for a long time. It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens. The resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what I lack deep inside. These supreme res ources I’m talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention. They’re abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another ——love and care. Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply.Mr. Brownlow is one such person. The other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves, Artful Dodger and Charley Bates, and thought naturally it was Oliver, who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves, that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place. Being wrathful, he caught Oliver, and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered, unfair magistrates worked. Fortunately for him, Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. With sympathy, Mr. Brownlow took the injured, poor Oliver to his own home. There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were Mr. Brownlow’s own son. One day, however, Mr. Brownlow asked Oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected. The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. After that he disappeared in Mr. Brownlow’s life. Searching for a while, Mr. Brownlow had to believe the fact that he had run away with his money. But dramatically, they came across each other again a few years later. Without hesitation, Mr. Brownlow took Oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil.Perhaps most of us would feel confused about Mr. Brownlow’s reaction. But as a matter o f fact, this is just the lesson we should learn from him. Jesus said in the Bible. “Forgive not seven times, but seventy-times seven.” Why is that? Because forgiveness is our ability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came here for. We cannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking. Stop put Mr. Brownlow into the list of your models. Always give people a second chance no matter what they might have done. That’s also a substantial part of loving and caring others.Charles Dickens said:“Love makes the world go around.” These immortal words have inspired and will keep on inspiring us to chant the melody of love and to say the prayer of care forevermore. Let us, therefore, enjoy life and treat other people lovingly. These principles are the roots and foundations of beliefs supporting this article and our mission together.经典英文读后感篇3Let me tell what I feel after reading the great work Jane Erye.I was really move by Jane Erye after closing the book. What a kind and good woman!Mrs Eyre had a heart of gold. She really loved everyone around her,and gave others help sincerely. She respected herself and did her best to do everything.I really love her.She are both a great teacher and a good friend of mine.Sometimes when I am confuse,I will think of her.I will imagine what will she do if she is I.Why not read Jane Erye my friends!经典英文读后感篇4Ive just fininshed reading the first 4 Harry Potter books for about the 5th time through, and theyre just as magical and affecting as they have ever been. Everything is in here: suspense, adventure, mystery, humour, danger. Theres even some pretty satisfying paybacks. The characters are fantastic and fantastically realistic. There are bad people who turn out to be good guys and good people who turn out to be bad guys, just like life.I think the thing I like best about these books is the message that its okay to be different - to be not "normal." I would love for everyone in school to have hear that message. It would probably reduce the bullying around the school. These books value real thoughts. Much has been made of Harrys rule breaking, but only once in the series so far does he break a rule for arbitrary personal gain. Most of the time he makes a decision that whats right is more important than whats written. And you know what? Lifes like that sometimes. I think its great that kids are getting an example of how to do whats right even when it involves breaking rules. The Potter books also show that there are consequences for rule breaking. If not getting caught and getting a detention, then a spell going wrong and someone getting turned into a cat. This shows that when you make a decision to go against the rules that things may not go as you expected and you have to take responsibility for the outcome.经典英文读后感篇5"Old Man and the Sea" to shape the success of a classic tough guy image. It is also the author of Hemingway won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Cuba said the book is a Fisher the to Santiago a man fishing alone in the 84 days after nothing caught a Marlins immeasurable. This is also the elderly have never seen more than heard of his boat two feet longer a big fish. Great efforts are also big fish pulled the boat drift for a whole two days and nights the elderly in the past two days and two nights have never experienced the hardships endured the test and finally the big fish to death tied to the bow. However at this time has been in the midst of the sharks the elderly and the sharks were life-and-death struggle the result of a shark or a big Marlins finished the old trailer home last only a bare skeleton of the fish.Hemingways why the elderly did not let the final victory? Novels in the words of the elderly: "A person must not be defeated born" "people do can be destroyed but can not be defeated." This is the "Old Man and the Sea "philosophy would like to reveal. There is no denying that people will be as long as it is flawed. When a person is to recognize the shortcomings and efforts to overcome it and not to succumb to it regardless of the final catch of the Marlins a complete or an empty frame which have been does not matter because the value of a persons life has been Marlins in the hunt for the process of fully embodied. Have to strive for their ideals the struggle and I wonder if he is not a winner right?Fisher challenge is to own their own shortcomings and the winner of the courage and confidence. View from the secular point of view of the victory the winner will not be the last Fisher because despite his big win over the Marlins but the Marlins eventually let big sharks eat and he was just the bones of the dead with a big Marlins shelf back to shore that isto say the shark is the winner. However in the eyes of the idealistsFisher is the winner because he has not been to the sea to the big Marlins no compromise and surrender to the sharks. In this sense this Fisher Diego Sandinista hero regardless of the challenges the limits of their success or failure are always worthy of our respect. Because he gives us is the most noble of human self-confidence!Life itself is an endless pursuit. I read some English papers and learnt much from them . And now , I want to say something about a paper titled “Web Usage Mining :Discovery and Applications of Usage Patterns from Web Data”.This is the first English paper I read about dissertation and gave me great help .This paper is a review about web usage mining. It introduced web usage mining in detail . Although it is a little old for it was published in 2000 , its contents are very useful today . It is organized according to the sequence of web usage mining andthe six main parts are introduction which tells me what is web usage mining , the sources and abstraction of web data , the three steps of web usage mining , taxonomy and project survey , websift overview , privacy issues . The third and fourth parts are most important . It had a list of existing project about web usage mining which I saw many times in other papers , but this paper is the one creating this list . Besides , it has been referred for more then twenty times . As we all know that , the higher the referred number is , the more important the paper is , so I consider this paper to be an important and successful one in this region. In my opinion , the success of this paper dues to three reasons . The first reason is the profound computer knowledge owned by the authors . Web usage mining relates to many subjects , such as artificial intelligence , ontology , semantic analysis , but the most basic knowledge is computer science . The four authors are all professors of department of computer science and engineering in university of Minnesota . For myself , I am not major in computer science and I am not very good at computers , so I feel a little difficult to understand technologies used in this region.Second , they had read a large number of papers before they wrote this paper . There are fifty nine references listed after main contents . “Stand on the shoulders of giants” , this sentence tell us a truth : one can never successful all by oneself . And what’s more , learn from others can save a lot of time and energy , especially for us new learner . How to learn from others is a skill all of us should master , but learning doesn’t mean copy or plagiary . Other people’s knowledge and production is just our foundation , upon this foundation , we must have our own thoughts and creation. There are many remarks in this paperwhere referred other’s production.Third , the authors had the experience of developing a web usage mining project . They don’t just engage in idle theorizing , so their comprehension on this issue is greatly profound. They know what we may meet in a real project development and they know how to resolve them . After reading this paper , I also read some other papers written in Chinese . Some of them are not based on real project and can not give useful resolution . Websift is the name of system they developed which can be used to data mining and analysis .I wrote this article not only because it gave me much help in preparing my dissertation , but also because it tells me how to study and how to do research . Honesty and preciseness are two essential making a researcher must have . Hard-working is the necessary condition leading to success . This is just the beginning of my dissertation , I should learn from these four authors , both their knowledge and their attitude to study.经典英文读后感篇7"A tale of two cities" is one of Dickenss most important representative works. The novel profoundly exposed the society contradiction before the French Revolution, intensely attacks the aristocratic social class is dissolute and cruel, and sincerely sympathizes with the depressed classes. The novel also described many magnificent scenes like the revolt people attacked Bastille and so on,which displayed peoples great strength. The novel has portrayed many different people. After we close the covers of the book, after having a long journey of the spirit, Jane Eyre, a marvelous figure, has left us so much to recall and to think: We remember her goodness: for someone who lost arms and blinded in eyes, for someone who despised her for her ordinariness, and even for someone who had hurt her deeply in the past.We remember her pursuit of justice. It’s like a companion with the goodness. But still, a virtuous person should promote the goodneon one side and must check the badneon the other side.We remember her self-respect and the clear situation onequality. 读名著的读后感英文版(精选5篇)

读名著的读后感英文版(精选5篇)读名著的读后感英文版【篇1】I believe that one of the factors that makes a piece of literature or even a movie a masterpiece is how well the reader can relate to the story. This is definitely a book everyone can relate to.The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a literary masterpieces, written in 1876 by the famous author Mark Twain. Tom Sawyer is a mischievous young boy who lives in the small town on the Mississippi River called St. Petersburg. The story line is simple, the book reads like a biography or a memoir of a summer in Tom Sawyers life.It is a story filled with action, adventure,, ingenious ideas, love, and schoolyard politics. The whole story is seemingly a complication of what people did or wish they did during their childhood. The book is a little difficult to read at first. Personally, it takes me a little while to get used to the 19th century dialect in the book. Other than referring to persons of African decent in derogatory terms (which Im sure uses terms even young children already know), the book would be an enjoyable read for people of all ages. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to feel young again, if just for a few hundred pages.读名著的读后感英文版【篇2】Love is a minor child the parents of the most taboo thing, love is the young men and women most want to have things, love is a very old looking to accompany grateful when things. It plays many roles, it can be tragic comedy director can also be planners; it can be a poison can also be a honey, no one can touch the penetration it. Once the jump into the trap of love, like arrows no longer beyond recovery to Li Xian, but stubbornly toward their own goals and flew ignore distance, straight through the air, finally landing. After landing there are two possibilities: one is intact reach the target, and the other is because for some reason, broken wings ... ...A wonderful end of the story, usually in comedy ended, readers read they are happy and can be seen in a few days later it will be forgotten. If a story ends in tragedy, then it must be something left in the readers mind, or regret, or pity, so that the reader repeatedly chew and thought. People are the pursuit of perfection. At the same time, people also praise the beauty of defects, it seems a contradiction, but not does not seem contradictory."Romeo and Juliet," is a tragedy, as I wrote above, it left in my mind what I said sure, and perhaps regret that bar ... ...Love more than big, but smaller than life!读名著的读后感英文版【篇3】I want to take the children to read the classics, the last time I read "the old story of the city", the students read the interest deeply, the feeling is very deep, this time took them to read lu xuns "the Chinese New Year gathering and Shouting".It is divided into two parts: the collection of Chinese New Year is a collection of essays written by lu xun to reflect the life of childhood and adolescence. It is a first-hand account of lu xuns life history, and we may see the complete image of lu xun in the early years. "The battle cry" is the collection of lu xuns short stories from 1918 to 1922. He was full of ambition in his youth, and hoped that China would get rid of the old system and stale traditional ideas. But the frustration he suffered gradually made him feel desperate and lonely. The true story of ah Q shows us the true face of a deformed China and a group of deformed Chinese before and after the 1911 revolution. It is the epitomies of the people under the feudal rule. The author ascribes the smugness of ah Q to "Chinese spiritual civilization crowns the world ", thus breeding a group of ignorant, ignorant and self-important citizens. At that time, the people were enslaved by imperialism and feudalism. Once beaten, he was healed by "spiritual victory". Deserves to be thinker, politician, writer lu xun, his pen as the blade, spend a lifetime thinking about national issues, the anatomy of the Chinese soul, spirit of people of the negative aspects to thoroughly expose and criticize."Looking angrily condemned means, head bowed as a willing ox", "cold" under the appearance of lu xun, is sending out the light of human nature, such as "long with the maid in shanhaijing o o long, let a person feel thick warmth. In this paper, we first after Yang suppression, o first confessed long too fat, poor sleep, and seek my hidden rat cause I dislike for her. But illiterate her to buy me the shanhaijing but struggled. Which makes me full of respect for her. The long feudal society of China is an ordinary woman. Good, poor, foolish, but given the deep love of lu xun. This paper with deep feeling of the language, to express the sincere of the working women miss and the memory of the time that young and foolish."Scream" confessed the author from a medical article and author because of the journey, through the text to awaken people numb, save the sleeping country, between the lines embodies the authors loneliness, hesitation, awakening, rise.读名著的读后感英文版【篇4】Many people simply regard Pride and Prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. She perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters. The characters have their own personalities. Mrs. Bennet is a woman who makes great efforts to marry off her daughters. Mr. Bingley is a friendly young man, but his friend, Mr. Darcy, is a very proud man who seems to always feel superior. Even the five daughters in Bennet family are very different. Jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. Elizabeth is a clever girl who always has her own opinion. Mary likes reading classic books. (Actually she is a pedant.) Kitty doesn’t have her own opinion but likes to follow her sister, Lydia. Lydia is a girl who follows exotic things, handsome man, and issomehow a little profligate. When I read the book, I can always find the same personalities in the society now. That is why I think this book is indeed the representative of the society in Britain in the 18th century. The family of gentleman in the countryside is Jane Austen’s favourite topic. But this little topic can reflect big problems. It concludes the stratum situation and economic relationships in Britain in her century. You can find these from the very beginning of this book. The first sentence in this book is impressive. It reads: “It is a truth well known to all the world that an unmarried man in possession of a large fortune must be in need of a wife”. The undertone is very clear: the foundation of the marriage at that time is not emotion but possession.People always think that Austen was an expert at telling love stories. In fact, the marriage in her book is not the result of love, but the result of economic needs. After reading this book, I know the truth is that a poor woman must be in need of a husband, a wealthy man.I couldn’t forget how eager Mrs. Bennet wants to marry off her daughters. If you want to know why she is so crazy about these things, I must mention the situation in Britain at that time. Only the eldest son had the privilege of inheriting his father’s possessions. Younger sons and daughters who are used to luxurious lives have no choice but marry a man or woman in possession of a large fortune to continue their comfortable lives. Thus, we can see that getting married is a way to become wealthier, particularly for women without many possessions. Jane Austen told us that money and possession determined everything, including marriage and love in her century. In “Pride and Prejudice”, the sister of Mr. Bingley strongly opposed his plan of marrying Jane because the Bennets don’t have many possessions and their social positions are much lower than them. From this, we can see there are a lot of obstacles for a not very rich woman to marry a wealthy husband. The society, the relatives would not allow them to get married. In modern society, although the marriages of economic needs have decreased rapidly, the concept of “money determines everything” is still rooted in some people’s mind. A lot of parents try hard to interfere their children’s marriages. Education background, possessions, jobs remains the main reason that may influence one’s marriage. Marry for money is still a big problem in our society. We can’t help thinking: can money determine everything?Austen left this problem for us to think. The genius of Jane Austen lies in this perfect simplicity, the simplicity that reflects big problems. Although Austen was only 21 when she wrote “Pride and Prejudice”, her sharp observation of social lives makes the style of this booksurprisingly mature and lively. The plots in her works are always very natural. The development of the plot is as inevitable as a problem in mathematics. I think the depth of Pride and Prejudice is the reason that makes this book prominent and classic. Today, her book still can be the guide telling us the economic relationships both at her time and in modern time.。

英文读后感(共10篇)

英文读后感(共10篇)本文是关于英文读后感(共10篇),仅供参考,希望对您有所帮助,感谢阅读。
英文读后感篇一:《雾都孤儿》400字oliver twist, one of the most famous works of charles dickens', is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in britain in 18th century.the author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in london.the hero of this novel was oliver twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. he suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. while reading the tragic experiences of the little oliver, i was shocked by his sufferings. i felt for the poor boy, but at the same time i detested the evil fagin and the brutal bill. to my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and oliver lived a happy life in the end. one of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of mrs. maylie and rose and began a new life. he went for walks with them, or rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. he felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.how can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? the reason is the nature of goodness. i think it is the most important information implied in the novel by dickens—he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. although i don't think goodness is omnipotent, yet i do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.for me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. goodness is to humans what water is to fish. he who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. on the contrary, as the famous saying goes, 'the fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose', he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. people receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.to my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. they look down on people's honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. as a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. on the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. in their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. if they cannot get profit from showing their'kindness', they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. they are one of the sorts that i really detest.francis bacon said in his essay, 'goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.'that is to say a person without goodness is destined to lose everything. therefore, i, a kind person, want to tell those'vermin-to-be'to learn from the kind oliver and regain the nature of goodness.英文读后感篇二:《小妇人》400字little womenbefore i read this book, i had watched a cartoon movie made by japan. so i have a strong interest on it.it all begins in the dead of winter; the christmas season. the coldest one of all, were the war has made fuel for heating very scarce. while her husband is off at war, marmee is left alone to raise their four daughters: jo, meg, beth, and amy.on christmas eve, marmee has just arrived home from passing out food to the less fortunate with a letter from her husband, the girls' father. the all gather together around the fire to read the letter. afterwards, the girls are teary eyed. marmee kisses them and they are off to bed.jo is longing to become a writer. so, every night she stays up late writing the script for soap operas. as morning comes she is the last one awake. the table is set, and food prepared for their christmas feast.as dusk falls, the girls are all up in the attic acting out jo's play, which she reads from the local (fake) newspaper. as they are performing, their rich, next-door neighbors grandson watches from the window.the 2 oldest girls: jo and meg, get ready to attend the christmas ball. while jo is curling meg's hair, there is a strange smell to the air. amy screams, megs hair is being singed. they continue digging through the old clothes bin for a pair of white gloves.one of the prominent themes in little women is the coming of age or maturation of the girls. during the course of the novel we see them grow in many ways -- physically, intellectually, and especially emotionally. one question which readers must ask themselves is whether the views the characters have on the coming of age process are shared by alcott. if they aren't, what are alcott's views and how do they differ from those of the women in her story?it is interesting to examine the last half of chapter 20, "confidential." jo addresses the maturation issue as she speaks with marmee of the situation between meg and mr. brooke. the possible love between thesetwo represents one of the very important aspects in coming of age for a teenage girl. jo treats this natural process as if it were some sort of disease, however. jo cannot understand why meg would want to stop behaving "like a sensible creature" (p.202), and refers to love as "such nonsense."in tess of the d’urbervilles, hardy molded a pure, kindhearted image and rather an image brave enough to rebel, to shoulder the responsibility of her action. her unfortuneness was the tragedy of the society, her character and fate. it vividly revealed the persecution towards people after industrial revolution made by the conception of capitalism and traditional moral. following are some of my opinions about the causes to her death.her character and parentage was part of the causein the author’s ideal world, tess was the embodiment of beauty and the incarnation of love .she represents all the merits of the villagers in her hometown: beautiful, pure, kind, simple, charitable and tolerant. to love ,she had no egocentric thoughts and didn’t plan to meet her vain wish by marriage .she standed by he dignity and pursue freedom .hardy made the poor, helpless ,humble country girl as the heroin.despite she committed adultery and murder, hardy still claim she was a “pure girl”. this fully showed the author’s sympathy towards tess. hardy elaborately modeled the image of tess and indignantly describes the depression confronted with tess through her short life.tess is a young woman who tends to find herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. she is a victim, but she is also, at times, irresponsible. she falls asleep while taking the beehives to market, which ends up killing the family horse, prince she decides to visit the d’urbervilles in trantridge, giving rise to all her future woes, partly out of the guilt and responsibility she feels toward her family. she wants to make good, but in trying to help her family she loses sight of her own safety and her own wants and wishes. she becomes alec’s victim in the forest. she probably should have known not to put herself in such a situation, but she has few other options. here, it seems as though she is destined to rely on others, even when they are unreliable.tess is also a strong woman throughout the novel. she stands up for herself and refuses to crumble under pressure. she chastises herself for her weakness after her sexual escapade with alec. if we agree with her claim that this indiscretion is a moment of weakness, we probably also feel that such weakness is not unlike that of most human beings. she is hard on herself for letting herself become a victim. at the burial of her child, sorrow , she weeps but collects herself and moves on as a stronger woman. overall, her determined attempts to escape her past primarily reflect her strength.her parentage to some extent leaded to her final tragedy. born in a poor family, with an ignorant vain, drunkard father who did not care too much about theShe was seduced by a so-called gentleman—Alec, and from then on her life totally changed from this loss of innocence. people looked down on her and respected her no more. Actually she did nothing wrong because before she was seduced she knew nothing of men. She was just a girl when she first met that terrible man.She was forced by the gossips and the church to blame herself for this accident, so she thought she deserved nothing good. In order to get rid of the past she decided to go to a distant dairy farm but was still saying to herself that she was wrong. Maybe God didn’t agree with that, because the Lord gave her someone she loved with her whole heart and life—Angel Chare. Angel popped the question to her but she refused him without saying why. She said she loved him deeply and perhaps no one in the world couldlove him more than she did but she could not marry him for some unspoken reason. Angel wasn’t satisfied with this vague answer and did his best to win Tess. Somehow she agreed and they soon fixed the wedding day. Soon after their wedding Angel confessed the crime he committed to a woman long time ago and asked for Tess’s forgiveness. Tess was not at all angry and forgave Angel at once; in fact she was rather happy and excited for she also had things to confess. She sat and told everything to Angel, hoping he would forgive her as he was forgiven but she was wrong. She was not forgiven, not as she thought she was. The woman pays.Without Angel’s love, nothing meant anything to her. The result wasn’t important now. Tess was arrested for her murder of that so-called gentleman. Why? She still loved Angel and when he finally went back to her and asked for HER forgiveness, after he regretted what he had done unfair to Tess, she was desperate. That was too late—Alec had always told Tess that Angel would never come back so he won Tess’s trust. Unluckily Angel did come back and found Tess.! Everything was too late!Tess was deceived and she lost Angel for the second time! The strengh of her love was so strong that she had forgotten the difference between right and wrong. Before that she had done nothing wrong but when she killed Alec, everything really changed! She became a criminal! How could it be? She was as pure and innocent as the good wife in the Bible. Her whole character was honest and faithful. Angel figured out at last that a person should be judged not only on what he has done but also on what he wanted to do!Tess didn’t want to be seduced by man and she had no power to defend herself so she lost her innocence and that’s all! Angel also did the wrong thing and it was even more serious than Tess’s crime but HE was not blamedfor it. Why it is always the woman who pays? Why they are always hurt? Why was Tess’s girlish purity lost? Why does the wrong man take the wrong woman? Why do the bad often ruin the good? Why is beauty damaged by ugliness? Women are too weak! Thousands of years of history have shown us that women have always been treated unfairly! In old China there was a culture, which didn’t think of women as human beings. If you asked one if he was the oldest in his family, he would probably answer “the oldest one” even if he had some elder sisters. If you asked why then he would say, “Ha, they are not included!”people gave birth to many girls in order to have only one boy to keep the family name going. They thought girls had no use for the family. They would be married and go to live with their husbands’ home and be their wives some day sooner or later. So they were extremely hard on girls.Girls should be hard working, faithful, loyal, intelligent, and virtuous and the most important thing was she must be a maiden! If her husband was the first man who touched her then she was a good girl, a good wife no matter how she thought. If she wasn’t, then she would gain a very bad reputation and nobody would dare to go near her. What about men? people did not care whether he was an experienced man or not, nor did they care about his character. They thought man equals power and power equals rights…Now let’s not be so bitter. Nowadays women’s situations have become much better. Some are because of the change of society and some are because of civilization. Just let those poor painful women like TESS be just a memory.this is a story about a special and unreserved woman who has been exposed to a hostile environment but continuously and fearlessly struggling for her ideal life. the story can be interpreted as a symbol of the independent spirit.it seems to me that many readers' english reading experience startswith jane eyer. i am of no exception. as we refer to the movie “jane eyer”, it is not surprising to find some differences because of its being filmized and retold in a new way, but the spirit of the novel remains----to be an independent person, both physically and mentally.jane eyer was a born resister, whose parents went off when she was very young, and her aunt, the only relative she had, treated her as badly as a ragtag. since jane's education in lowwood orphanage began, she didn't get what she had been expecting——simply being regarded as a common person, just the same as any other girl around. the suffers from being humiliated and devastated teach jane to be persevering and prize dignity over anything else.as a reward of revolting the ruthless oppression, jane got a chance to be a tutor in thornfield garden. there she made the acquaintance of lovely adele and that garden's owner, rochester, a man with warm heart despite a cold face outside. jane expected to change the life from then on, but fate had decided otherwise: after jane and rochester fell in love with each other and got down to get marry, she unfortunately came to know in fact rochester had got a legal wife, who seemed to be the shadow following rochester and led to his moodiness all the time ----rochester was also a despairing person in need of salvation. jane did want to give him a hand, however, she made up her mind to leave, because she didn't want to betray her own principles, because she was jane eyer. the film has finally got a symbolist end: jane inherited a large number of legacies and finally returned. after finding rochester's misfortune brought by his original mad wife, jane chose to stay with him forever.i don't know what others feel, but frankly speaking, i would rather regard the section that jane began her teaching job in thornfield as the film's end----especially when i heard jane's words “never in my life have i been awaken so happily.” for one thing, this ideal and brand-new beginningof life was what jane had been imagining for long as a suffering person; for another, this should be what the audiences with my views hoped her to get. but the professional judgment of producing films reminded me to wait for a totally different result: there must be something wrong coming with the excellence----perhaps not only should another section be added to enrich the story, but also we may see from the next transition of jane's life that “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you would get.”what's more, this film didn't end when jane left thornfield. for jane eyer herself, there should always be somewhere to realize her great ideal of being independent considering her fortitude, but for rochester, how he can get salvation? the film gives the answer tentatively: jane eventually got back to rochester. in fact, when jane met rochester for the first time, she scared his horse and made his heel strained, to a certain extent, which meant rochester would get retrieval because of jane. we can consider rochester's experiences as that of religion meaning. the fire by his frantic wife was the punishment for the cynicism early in his life. after it, rochester got the mercy of the god and the love of the woman whom he loved. here we can say: human nature and divinity get united perfectly in order to let such a story accord with the requirements of both two sides. the value of this film may be due to its efforts to explore a new way for the development of humanism under the faith of religion.life is ceaselessly changing, but our living principles remain. firmly persisting for the rights of being independent gives us enough confidence and courage, which is like the beacon over the capriccioso sea of life. in the world of the film, we have found the stories of ourselves, which makes us so concerned about the fate of the dramatis personae.in this era of rapid social and technological change leading toincreasing life complexity and psychological displacement, both physical and mental effects on us call for a balance. we are likely to find ourselves bogged down in the sargasso sea of information overload and living unconsciousness. it's our spirit that makes the life meaningful.heart is the engine of body, brain is the resource of thought, and great films are the mirrors of life. indubitably, “jane eyer” is one of them.简爱读后感英文_简爱英文读后感charlotte bronte's jane eyrejane eyre was published in 1847 under the androgynous pseudonym of “currer bell.”the publication was followed by widespread success. utilizing two literary traditions, the bildungsroman and the gothic novel, jane eyre is a powerful narrative with profound themes concerning genders, family, passion, and identity. it is unambiguously one of the most celebrated novels in british literature.born in 1816, charlotte bronte was the third daughter of patrick bronte, an ambitious and intelligent clergyman. according to newsman, all the bronte children were unusually precocious and almost ferociously intelligent, and their informal and unorthodox educations under their father's tutelage nurtured these traits. patrick bronte shared his interests in literature with his children, toward whom he behaved as though they were his intellectual equals. the bronte children read voraciously. charlotte's imagination was especially fired by the poetry of byron, whose brooding heroes served as the prototypes for characters in the bronte's juvenile writings as well as for such figures as mr. rochester in jane eyre 。

读后感 英文(通用4篇)

读后感英文(通用4篇)英文读后感范文模板篇一many people simply regard pride and prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. she perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters.the characters have their own personalities. mrs. bennet is a woman who makes great efforts to marry off her daughters. mr. bingley is a friendly young man, but his friend, mr. darcy, is a very proud man who seems to always feel superior. even the five daughters in bennet family are very different. jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. elizabeth is a clever girl who always has her own opinion. mary likes reading classic books. (actually she is a pedant.) kitty doesn’t have her own opinion but likes to follow her sister, lydia. lydia is a girl who follows exotic things, handsome man, and is somehow a little profligate. when i read the book, i can always find the same personalities in the society now. that is why i think this book is indeed the representative of the society in britain in the 18th century.the family of gentleman in the countryside is jane austen’s favourite topic. but this little topic can reflect big problems. it concludes the stratum situation and economic relationships in britain in her century. you can find these from the very beginning of this book.the first sentence in this book is impressive. it reads: “it is a truth well known to all the world that an unmarried man in possession of a large fortune must be in need of a wife”。

At that time I was deeply moved by the main character Marguerite Gautier. “Camille” or “The Lady of the Camellias” by Alexandre Dumas, fils, is the story of Marguerite Gautier, a young courtesan, or kept woman, in Paris in the mid 1800's, and how she falls in love with a young man, Armand Duval, and then tries to escape from her questionable past. Unfortunately, it comes back to haunt her and she ends up returning tothat life and dies painfully and alone, but with the knowledge that she was a noble woman at heart. When I first began to read the book, I did not care for Marguerite or her attitude or lifestyle, but as I got further into the narrative, I realized that her saucy attitude was a front to cover the lonely woman that she really was. She felt used, abused and unloved, until the gentle Armand Duval came into her life and showed her that he loved her as a person and not for what she could do for him. It must have taken great courage for Marguerite to leave the life she had lived for so long, knowing all along that it was probably too good to be true and would not last indefinitely. And it also showed that Marguerite really loved Armand Duval for she could even change herself for him. However, happiness didn’t last for long. When M. Duval, Armand's father, came to her, pleading for her to leave Armand to save both Armand's reputation and that of his younger innocent sister, Marguerite saw a way to become pure of heart, if not in body. She felt that it was her duty, because she loved Armand so much, to do this even though it meant giving up her own happiness and hurting Armand temporarily. She reluctantly returned to her former life, knowing that some day Armand would forgive her. Sadly, she died in debt and basically alone, except for her one female friend, Julie Duprat, who helped her during her illness. She had her journal sent to Armand after her death, explaining why she had made the choices she had. I think Dumas's last few lines about Marguerite being the exception, not the rule were quite true, and I also agreed with his view that while her lifestyle could not be condoned, we as a society assume that all of these type of women are cold and heartless, while this may not always be the case. A person can make the wrong choices in life when they are young, and try to redeem themselves, but sometimes past situations prevent them from changing their lives, even though they desperately wish to do so. This applies to both men and women in many different types of circumstances: involvement in crime; drug or alcohol abuse; gambling; prostitution; financial problems; poor marriage choices; etc. And this is the fact, which exists in the whole society. As far as the other characters in the book, I think Marguerite was right in saying that no one truly cared about her, but only wanted something from her, the only exceptions being Armand and Julie Duprat. Of course, the Comte de G. and Comte de N. wanted her body and appearance. The Duke needed to “wake up and smell the coffee” and realize that she could never replace his dead daughter. If he truly cared, he could have helped her leave her lifestyle without “keeping” her himself. And lastly, Prudence was a blood-sucking leech who used Marguerite almost worse than the men. I also think she was jealous of the fact that Marguerite had so much more courage than herself and someone truly loved her.Last morning, when tiding my bookshelf, I took this book out of the shelf, and a dried flower flew away from the book. It was pale blue, very transparent, with thin fine veins. a dried flower flew away from the book. It was pale blue, very transparent, with thin fine veins. I held it against the morning light and blew on it. The soft breeze carried it away. Camille is just like the camellia, she could never escape from the destiny of withering. But it wasn’t her fault; it’s because of the evil of Capitalism and the hideousness of that society.Suddenly, I remembered a saying: “Women are like the flowers”。
