After a while, my mom took me to that high school. When I got into the seat of the car, my stomach started to hurt, but I knew that sort of thing will happen all the time during a stressful event like a reading competition. Later, after a few hours had past, it was my turn to walk up to the stage and say my lines. But wait! I looked over and noticed the judge wasn't looking at me- it was if she didn't respect me! We learned how important eye contact is during our assembly. After I finished, the guests gave me great praise. I thought I would have a good mark. Then came the time to give out the certificates. When the person read Frobel ElementaryI thought it was me…..but it was my classmate Cindy. She had received second place. Then they read the first prize and I was disappointed it wasn’t me.
1. Well, I guess it all started when I was a kid. I remember being fascinated by books and stories. I would spend hours lost in different worlds, imagining myself as the characters and living their adventures. It was like a magical escape from reality.2. As I grew older, my love for reading turned into a passion for writing. I found joy in putting my thoughts and ideas on paper, creating my own stories and characters. Writing became my way of expressing myself and sharing my imagination with others.3. One thing I've learned about writing is that it's not always easy. There are times when I struggle to find the right words or get stuck on a particular scene. But I believe that the challenges are what make writing so rewarding. It's the feeling of accomplishment when you finally find the perfect sentence or create a plot twist that surprises even yourself.4. Writing also allows me to explore different perspectives and understand the world in a deeper way. Through research and interviews, I can delve into topics that I may not have otherwise considered. It's like stepping into someone else's shoes and seeing things from their point of view.5. Another aspect of writing that I enjoy is the power it has to inspire and influence others. Words have the ability to evoke emotions, provoke thoughts, and spark change. I believe that through my writing, I can make a positive impact on the world, even if it's just in a small way.6. Of course, writing is not just about the end result. It's about the process, the journey of self-discovery and growth. Every time I sit down to write, I learn something new about myself and the world around me. It's a constant exploration of ideas and possibilities.7. In conclusion, writing is more than just a hobby forme. It's a way of life, a means of self-expression, and a tool for understanding and connecting with others. It's a journey that never ends, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to participate in this English competition and share my love for writing with others.。

Although we always tend to be neglectful of passing time of individual minutes, yet it is exactly what eternity of time is made of. That's also the case with our life. As the Chinese saying goes, “Do not fail to do good even if it's small; do not engage in evil even if it's small.” The gradual quantitative accumulation of tiny ones combined can bring about substantial qualitative changes. Even the above heaven of Eden that seems impossible can be made come true on our earth so long as we contribute every littledeeds or words of kindness and love. An integral whole consists of component parts and meanwhile consists in them. So never skip over the trivial matters and seek for the larger ones. In that case we can never make it. 4Task II (20 marks)Directions: For this part, you are required to write a composition on The Anti-Addiction System. You should write at least 120 words and please write it on the Answer Sheet. Now in China the anti-addiction system and a “real name checking” system have been adopted in Cyber cafes to prevent players under 18 from becoming addicted to online games. What do students think about this system? What is your opinion about this? The Anti-Addiction SystemNow in China, the adoption of the anti-addiction system and a “real name checking” system in net bars has led to a heated debate among students. Some say that students' self-discipline is very limited and now at least 14 percent of the urban teenage players are addicted to the Internet and some children even repeatedly disappear from home to spend their nights at local Internet cafes, and play truant from school also. Therefore, they have failed quite a few school exams. In this sense, the new policy can prevent minors developing online addiction.Others claim that the anti-addiction system is only a means to an end and cannot remove the root of the online addiction completely and they believe thekey is to guide the minors to improve their self-control and balance their work and play.In my opinion, the latter point hits home for me because it cuts to the chase. However, education is a long process and takes time, which means before education produces effects on children, some supplementary measures should also be taken to speed up the process and the anti-addiction system is one of them. Work for YourselfAfter graduated, people are always faced with two alternatives:working for themselves or someone else. Both of the two sound reasonable. While I tend to be in favor of the later. From my perspective, working for myself.definitely is worse than working for someone else.Because you will have to deal with plenty of problems and risks by yourself,if you choose to start your own cking of experience, financial support and so on can always be fatal to your career. On the contrary,if you find a job in a proper company, there’s no need for you to worry any more, and you just need to work hard.Whats more, when working for others, you will acquire how to cooperate with others and increase your sense of responsibility, which are both great qualities. All in all, working for someone else is equipped with much more advantages than for yourself. It can not only prevent yourself from unnecessary risks but also promote you improving yourself.。

Title: Embracing Diversity: A Key to Global HarmonyIn today's interconnected world, diversity stands as both a challenge and an opportunity. It is a challenge because it requires us to navigate through differences in culture, language, and perspective. However, it is also an opportunity because embracing diversity enriches our lives, broadens our horizons, and fosters understanding and empathy among people of different backgrounds. One of the most significant benefits of embracing diversity is the opportunity for cross-cultural learning and exchange. When we interact with people from different cultures, we are exposed to new ideas, beliefs, and ways of life. This exposure helps us challenge our own assumptions and broaden our perspectives. For example, studying abroad allows students to immerse themselves in a different culturalenvironment, which not only enhances their language skills but also fosters a deeper understanding of global issues.Furthermore, embracing diversity promotes innovation and creativity. When individuals from diverse backgrounds come together, they bring with them unique insights and experiences. By harnessing the collective wisdom of diverse teams, organizations can develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Research has shown that companies with diverse workforces are more likely to outperform their homogeneous counterparts, as they are better equipped to adapt to changing market dynamics and anticipate emerging trends. Moreover, embracing diversity is essential for building inclusive communities and promoting social cohesion. In today's multicultural societies, it is crucial to create spaces where people of all backgrounds feel valued and respected. By celebrating diversity and actively challengingdiscrimination and prejudice, we can create a more equitable and harmonious society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Educational institutions play a critical role in this process by promoting diversity and inclusion both inside and outside the classroom. However, despite the numerous benefits of embracing diversity, it is not without its challenges. Cultural differences can sometimes lead to misunderstandings and conflicts, particularly in multicultural environments where people from different backgrounds interact on a daily basis. It is essential to recognize and address these challenges through dialogue, empathy, and mutual respect. By fostering open and honest communication, we can bridge the gap between cultures and build stronger, more resilient communities. In conclusion, embracing diversity is essential for promoting global harmony and understanding. By celebrating our differences and recognizing the value of diverseperspectives, we can build a more inclusive and equitable world for future generations. It is up to each of us to embrace diversity in our daily lives and work towards a more just and peaceful society for all.。

1Everyone has a choice when he wakes up in the early morning. You can choose to be happy or sad all the day. But for me , I think I have responsibilities to fulfill all the day. So every morning my first job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have. Today I can complain because it is rainy or I can be grateful that the grass is watered for free.Today I can feel sad because I don’t have more money or I can be glad that it will prevent me from wasting.Today I can feel very down because of a bad cold or I can rejoice that I am still alive.Today I can lament over all that my parents didn’t give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.Today I can be disappionted for my lack of friends or I can be excited to discover new relationships.Today I can be exhausted because I have too much homework to do or I can feel honored because I’m getting closer to my dream in this way. What today will be like is just up to ourselves. We can get to choose what kind of day we will have! As teenagers,we stilll have much time to achieve our dreams, but the way to success is not so easy.If we choose to face it in a good mood and carry ontrying,I believe we can enjoy the whole process and get to the destination of success much more easily and happily. In fact, everything depends on your own attitude. If you choose to be happy and positive, you will enjoy your work and have a good time.If you choose to be sad and negative, nothing good will come to you and your life will be colourless. The world around us is so beautiful. There is no reason why we don’t enjoy it.So,everybody, let’s choose to be happy everyday!Ok,that’s all. Thanks for listening! 2Im grateful that Ive been given this opportunity, at such a historic moment, to stand here as a spokesman of my generation and to take a serious look back at the past 15 years, a crucial period for every one of us and for this nation as well.Though it is only within my power to tell about my personal experience, and only a tiny fragment of it at that, it still represents, I believe, the root of a spirit which has been essential to me and to all the people bred by the past 15 years. In my elementary years, there was a little girl in the class who worked very hard but somehow could never do satisfactorily in her lessons. The teacher asked me to help her, and it was obvious that she expected a lot from me. but as a young boy, restless, thoughtless, I always tried to evade her so as to get more time to enjoy myself. One day before the final exam, she came up to me and said, Could you please explain this to me? I want very much to do better this time. I started explaining, and finished in a hurry.Pretending not to notice her still confused eyes, I ran off quickly. Nat surprisingly, she again did very badly in the exam. And two months later, at the beginning of the new semester, word came of her death of blood cancer. No one ever knew about the little task I failed to fulfill, but I couldnt forgive myself. I simply couldnt forget her eyes, which seem to be asking, Why didnt you do a little more to help me, when it was so easy for you? Why didnt you understand a little better the trust placed in you, so that I would not have to leave this world in such pain and regret?I was about eight or nine years old at that time, but in a way it was the very starting point of my life, for I began to understand the word responsibility and to learn to always do my duties faithfully and devotedly, for the implications of that sacred word has dawned on me: the mutual need and trust of people, the co-operation and inter-reliance which are the very foundation of human society.Later in my life, I continued to experience many failures. But never again did I feel that regret which struck me at the death of the girl, for it makes my heart satisfied to think that I have always done everything in my power to fulfill my responsibilities as best I can. 3Adolescence and old age are the two stages in our lives when the need for friendship is crucial. In the former stage, older people are upset by feelings of uselessness and insignificance. In both instances, friends can make a dramatic difference. With close friends in their lives, people develop courage and positive attitudes. Teenagers have the moral support to assert their individuality; the elderly apporoach their advaanced years with optimism and an interest in life. These positive outlooks are vitalto cope successfully with the crises inherent in these two stages of life.Throughout life, we rely on small groups of people for love, admiration, respect, moral support, and help. Almost everyone has a network of friends: co-workers, neighbors, and schoolmates. While both men and women have such friends, evidence is accumulating that indicates men rarely make close friends. Men are sociable and frequently have numerous business acquaintances, golfbuddies, and so on. However, firendship does not merely involve a sharing of activities; it is a sharing of self on a very personal level. Customatily, men have shied froem close relationships in which they confide in others. By bottling up their emotions, men deprive themselves of a healthy outlet for their negativete feeling.Very cloes and trusted friends share confidences candidly. They feel secure that they will not be ridiculed or derided, and their confidences will be bonored. Betraying a trust is a very quick and painful way to terminate a friedship.Circumstance and people are constantly changing. Some friedships last forever ; others do not. Nerertheless, friendship is an essential ingredient in the making of a healthful, rewarding life.I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!Thank you! 4once upon a time, a weenie ant was walking on his way. as he was walking, suddenly he felt the ground shaking terribly. he looked around with his paranoid eyes and saw an elephant walking right behind him. quickly, the little ant covered himself with dirt, but one leg was unfortunately left out. a sparrow saweverything, so she flew down with the purpose of teasing the ant: “hey, chicken! watch out your leg, it’s out!” the ant felt embarrassed at first but then calmly responded: “ shi…i am going to trip that elephant.”right now, i’m standing on this glamorous stage. but everything here reminds me of is a not so fun memory. around this time last year i was in nanjing competing in another speech contest. that was the first time for me to be in such a large event. of course the pressure i was under was immense too. after a sleepless and stressful night, i went onto that stage without the feeling in my legs. that speech turned out to be horrible. i don’t remember how i get down from there, but i do remember afterwards i just wanted to find a hole to hide in just like the ant in the story. back at my school, it took a long time for me to recover. thanks to all the help i got from my special friends. my confidence was restored. after rounds of giving speeches and answering tough questions, i am here today. from all that i’ve been through i’ve learned that a good future is based on a forgotten past, if i want my life to go on well i have to let go of my past failure. so today, with out fear, i am tripping my elephant again. 5When I was still a freshman in college, one Scottish professor complained to me about being overcharged at a grocery store. He explained that many business owners in China would assume that white “foreigners” are rich and unable to understand Chinese. My amiable professor, unwilling to start a conflict, would always pay the undue price even though he was only meagerly paid by my university and was able to speak perfect Mandarin. As a student of humanities, I’m particularly intrigued by theramifications of cross-cultural encounters entailed by the new era. We have to bear in mind that whenever we talk about the new era, there is always an old era that keeps haunting us in various ways. Last year I went to the University of T okyo for a one-year exchange program. Before I left, my grandma seemed quite distraught and apprehensive: she told me to take care of myself as if I was about to go to the battlefield. But we Chinese are not the only ones infested by outdated misconceptions. When I was bidding farewell to my American professor at an academic writing class in Japan, she stopped me and asked me, “Are you really from China?” At first I thought she was pointing at my handsomeness, asking me whether I had been to Korea for plastic surgery. Well, clearly this is another stereotype that we should get rid of. But to my disappointment, she was actually referring to my English skills. “I’ve never met any Chinese student who can talk and write like you do,” She said, “You must have been stayed in the States for some time, haven’t you?” It does seem that even a specialist in linguistics can’t escape the illusion bui lt up by the last generation of Chinese students: gauche and diffident, unable to articulate themselves in English.Nevertheless, such stereotypes are becoming a thing of the past. When professors around the globe meet with an increasing number of students from China with both language proficiency and academic competence, well-qualified students will no longer be a surprise. Moreover, with more people going abroad and enjoying firsthand encounters with different cultures, people like my grandma will no longer be subject to the fossilized, antiquated narrative of the past. The interesting thing is, after I told my grandma my experiences in Japan, how clean, safe andbeautiful their cities are and how nice, polite and considerate their people are, she gladly removed Japan from the list of least-want-to-visit foreign countries and put it instead to the most-want-to-visit one.Even the shop owner near my campus is now repenting for his peccadillo. When gradually more international purchasers become his patrons, he would no longer treat them differently. And he would even occasionally call out for them, yelling “come, come,” “cheap, cheap,” “thanks thanks” with a very strong Chinese accent. Meanwhile, my Scottish professor has now equipped himself with Wechat and Alipay, assimilating seamlessly into the local life here. The old era is like a cocoon, protecting us from possible dangers outside and providing us with warmth and comfort. However, an overreliance on memories and experiences of a long-gone past can also hinder us from genuine, meaningful interactions for the future, just as the cocoon can also serve as a wall to bar us from the beautiful world outside. But in order to make a brand-new attire or to build a modern silk road, we have to plunge the cocoons into hot water and obtain the silk despite the pain. So ladies and gentlemen, don’t be trapped by the old era. Transcend it, and embrace the new one.Thank you. 6I still remember when I was in the senior high, one of my best friends was struggling to make a decision between going abroad for further study and staying in China, finally she chose the later, and the reason she provided was very simple:” studying abroad is a tough experience!” Most of us will probably agree with her because we’re always deliberately trying to avoid difficultiesand toughness society assigns us. Therefore, lots of the criticisms nowadays are based on the fact that young people are lack of faith which is shaped by the toughness they should have encountered in their age. As a generation brought up in the greenhouse; our parents sheltered nearly every waves and storms outside our ivory tower. A little tree with constant watering and care can never stand a violent wind, however, a tree on a dry land can live more vigorously even after a disaster because bad conditions develop its quality to grow its root much more deeper into the ground. Toughness shapes faith, and faith can turn obstacles to opportunities.Dear ladies and gentlemen, how many of you have ever given up your pursuit because you thought it was too tough to accomplish and the obstacles are insurmountable? When reflecting on ourselves, let’s make a comparison with a boy called Liu Wei, who won the championship of 20xx China’s Got Talent by playing piano with his feet. The 22-year old boy, whose arms were amputated because of an electric shock, finally overcame all the obstacles once hindered his way to pursue his dream and showed us a preternatural faith shaped by the toughness he has encountered. And finally, his misery turned out to be an opportunity for him to build his faith and won the recognitions from the public.Liu’s stirring deeds make us contemplate, if he didn’t lose his arms when he was young, he might be one of those bewildered people, hunting for a job to keep him a living in the social trend, furthermore, if Helen Keller wasn’t deprived of her sight and hearing, she might be deprived of her insight into the essence of life, if President Lincoln’s career was all smooth before he won the election, he might never have thatperseverance to bring him onto such a historical stage.Toughness shapes faith, and faith can turn obstacles into opportunities. That’s the reason why we should always be positive towards those so-called torturing events in life. We saw the faith shaped by Liu’s disability supported him to win applauds by millions of people around the world, providing the opportunities for him to shake off the shackles of his lost arms. Several weeks ago, we saw the faith shaped by the national disaster supported a squad-group of 50 Japanese workers voluntarily stick fast to their post, providing the living opportunities for others. Then, what do we see in us? Building faith is a life-long process, let’s bravely face the storms of life, face the toughness we once wanted to shun, face our original dreams which were later denied by ourselves. Let’s shape our faith by facing the challenges in life, and altering the obstacles into those precious opportunities that we’ll treasure in our whole life! 7as quoted from “how to make steel”: the most precious thing to us is life. we can only live but once, thus, our life should be like this, when looking back, you don’t have to be regretful about those wasted time and shameful about the mediocre life. then till the end of his life, we can conclude that we have devoted our whole life to the most valuable thing in the world----dedication to human’s liberation. these sentences touch me most, and remind me to think about how we should live through our life, and what the most important thing in my life is! looking retrospectively about my past twenty years, lot’s of failures. but i know that the future is in my hand. there is one more important thing in my life is to cherish, cherish the person loves you andyou love.well, to be honest, i don’t think i was such kind of a filial daughter. because all i think about was to get away from then as far as possible, to free myself. i never have the feeling of homesick, even though when i stepped into my home and saw my lost-lost mother. in fact, my heart has been in self-approach.but, what should i do? it seems strange for me to say “ i love you” to them, because they don’t need those unpractical words, by the way, i’m not good at it. so i decided to concentrate myself on study to repay them, which seems to be passive. but today, one thing happened strengthened my feeling about them.i have sore throat all these days. i didn’t take it serious, because i think it will recover soon. however, the condition became worse. except headache, fever, runny nose, sore throat, slight tiredness, i was all right. to my disappointment, the latest clinic is being reconstructed, and i have no idea about other clinics. so i tended to my native friends for help, one was no answered, the other is shutdown. the first person hit upon my mind was my sister, who is far away from me. she did all she can to comfort me and give me suggestions. i didn’t realize it how touched i was as soon as i finished my conversation, my mother called me. i’ve been trying to ail myself, but without success, with large drops of tears rolling down upon my check. i can’t remember exactly what’s it saying on the other side, my helpless, lonely heart was saved eventually. in order not to let her worry, i turned off it in a hurry. how uselei was! with the helping of my roommate, i went to see the doctor. and now i’m better.this small incident teaches me that the most important in our life is to cherish the person you love and the person loves you.my friends, we can only live but once. why not cherish and repay those you’ve owned? don’t regret till we are old! 8Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, let’s play a game. I am going to raise a question for you. If you have the correct answer in your mind before I disclose it, then you win. Listen carefully. What is the strongest belief in the world?I knew a man who used to tell me stories about his life. He was a poor man who was born during a war, grew up in war time and unfortunately was dragged to another war just after he got married. He originally thought he would die during that war. But as he always told me it was the strongest belief in the world that saved him from early death. In 1952, the man was 25 years old. Though he had suffered the horrors of wars, he finally made it through those hard times. He had a wonderful family, a beautiful wife and a lovely baby. Suddenly, the Korean War broke out. As a soldier, he and his wife were surely aware what the war could mean to them. When the man set off to the front l ine, his wife told him this, “I give you the strongest belief in the world and with this I know you will be back”. During a battle, the man was shot in the chest. His mate thought he would be another one added to the death list. The man told me that at the crucial moment he saw the sweet smile of his beloved wife and heard his baby crying “Papa, Papa”. Tenaciously clinging to the belief shared with his wife, he miraculously survived. This poor but lucky guy was my grandfather. He did come back after the war and would always tell about the strongest belief that kept him alive in those dark times. I was never good at making small talk with him so when he passed away 5 yearsago I never had the chance to ask him seriously what that strongest belief was. This ti me, he wasn’t coming back. So after that, I began searching for what my grandfather’s legacy really meant. What is the strongest belief in the world, ladies and gentlemen?Last year, I was an interpreter for a Korean businessman for several weeks. I noticed every night he would take a picture of his wife and daughter from his wallet. Carefully, he polished the picture as if he were touching their real faces gently. I asked how long he had been away from home. He sighed it was already a few months. But he emphasized that before he left home, his wife told him about the strongest belief in the world, which meant he would certainly be back. It was this phrase again-the strongest belief in the world. But this time, I realized what it really meant. The strongest belief is like a round-trip ticket, it may take you away at times, but it will always bring you back to where you started from. It was this ticket that brought my grandfather back to his wife. It was this ticket that sent the Korean businessman back to his family. And, it is on this ticket, where it reads: your destination-home. So, ladies and gentlemen, the strongest belief in the world is simply-home.Because of this belief, soldiers are willing to pick up guns. Because of this belief, sailors go on the longest voyage. Because of this belief, we have the courage to face any difficulty. Because we are sure tomorrow, whether success or failure, this belief will guide us home. 9Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen,I’m very honored to stand here an d give you a short speech! my topic is Opportunities and Challenges.First,I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness, wisdom,a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to president Nixon,he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity.”Needless to say,one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2008 Olympic Games. Till now,we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines,public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more,Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question,”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”For us,I mean the Chinese youth,2008 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift. Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us.The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his handand say ing ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is,but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning, however, when we wake up,we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “forter” ----that is someone who will give fort to others. At the end of my speech,I hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges. 10Hello, ladies and gentlemen,My name is Zhang Xinyu. Today, I'm going to talk about 'Growing Pains'.Different people have different pains from different places. We are now students, so I think we have pains mainly from studies.Time files. Two months ago, I came to a middle school student. But I have a pain. Homework is my growing pain. In the secondary school, we have more subjects to study. And homework is more than primary school. So I could’t adapt to the secondary school’s homework. I don’t have other time to do any sports or read any books.Growth brings us a lot of trouble, like a ripe to pay heavy taxes for ourselves. These days I think about, in fact, these problems can be completely avoided. If I learn English words by heart, I do maths problems quickly; if I am usually willing to try, I needn't have to spend more time. However, I think all pains will fade away in the end. I believe that I can adapt the school life step by step. Try my best. That’s all. Thank you for your attention. 11Good morning, honorable judges,Recently, due to the increasing number of population, China has become a country with a big problem of balancing the relationship between housing price and people’s demand f or dwelling .The fact that housing prices is soaring everyday actually sparkles heated debates among both citizens and peasants. People multiply daily are complaining against the skyrocketing housing prices.Yesterday, I saw a TV program through Shenzhen channel concerning the soaring housing prices in our country. That program dispatched many journalists to have interviews with the public in which they are asked about what’re their opinions of the theme. Unexpectedly, most of the interviewees make complaints about the soaring housing price. They hold firmly to belief that such state of affairs is irrational and abnormal. The higher housing prices are, the less people who can afford it. Hence, this may conduce to exceedingly severe living problems. With no lodgings to live in, people begin to do something immoral, and more crimes will come forth, then, social instability ensue. Out of this point, some people may blame the government for not being able to command macroscopic regulation such as not cracking down on illegal purchasing approaches. While others hold the view that some special groups should takeresponsibility for the soaring housing prices problem. As some wealthy people or powerful personages are in p ursuit of being wealthier by owing more houses through proper or improper ways, the housing prices are forced to be raised. Constant complaints against soaring housing prices willcontinue unless that tendency drops off. After stating this universal complaint against soaring housing prices, I would like to come up with my viewpoints. Personally, I deem that this problem is really a hot potato. It depends on the governmental control and personal morality. However, in order to stop the housing prices from going up, I stick to the idea that the central government should make some effective laws , levy more taxes on house property just as western countries do to restrict rich people to purchasing and selling their houses. With the mutual efforts made by people and the government, there is no denying that the complaint against soaring housing prices will disappear one day.Thank you for all your listening! 12Good morning, judges, teachers and follow students. Today I would like to share with you my great wish. but first, please allow me to take you back in time to the year 1955, the setting, Montgomery?ntg?m?ri , Alabamhe United States of America. It started out as an ordinary December afternoon. 42 year-old African American Rosa Parks boarde'b?:did] a bus and sat down in the front row. She thought over, the days and friends, her child at home, and how she enjoyed her simple life. She was content, but when she thought about the prejudice and discrimination that she had to face everyday, she felt a mends pain. How she wished to live in the world of tru e harmony “Ehen, ehen(咳嗽声)”, Rosa was startle to see a white man standing beside her. He was starring at her coldly, but she managed to smile and ask politely“May I help you sir?” “Get out of the seat!” the man snarledback. “Excuse me?” Rosa was shocked. What right did the man have to speak to her in such a crueltone? Just because her skin was dark colored and his was fair. And as equals, he certainly didn't have any right to order her out of the seat, or did he? Well, surprisingly, in 1955, lots like Rosa Parks did not have as many rights as whites. Due to racial discrimination, Rosa’s refusal to give up her seat to a white man, led to a call to the police, and she was arrested jailed and convictea violatinsegregatiolaws. But Rosa did not surrender to prejudice, instead she chose to fight discrimination and work alongside thousands of others for her wish to rid the world of racismAnd now, half a centurlater, we are still fighting for the same wish. Traces of discrimination have gradually disappeared, but prejudice lives on. I too, share the wish of Rosa Parks, but I too, wish that prejudice comes to an end. And my friends, prejudice will come to an end if we all work together as a whole.Let us not judge others by their skin color or appearance:[?'pir?ns], but rather by their content of their characte Let us learn to enjoy different cultures and then we’ll enjoy a world of diversity. I wish to look around on a lonely day, and see a blending of colors. Harmony, traveling among people of all skin colors.。

The Impact of Technology on SocietyTechnology has become an integral part of our daily lives, shaping the way we communicate, work, and interact with the world around us. The rapid advancements in technology have revolutionized the way we live, but they have also raised concerns about the impact on society. One of the main concerns is the effect of technology on social interactions. With the rise of social media and online platforms, people are spending more time on their devices and less time connecting with each other in person. This has led to a decrease in face-to-face interactions and a rise in feelings of loneliness and isolation.Additionally, technology has also had a significant impact on the workforce. Automation and artificial intelligence have led to the displacement of jobs, leaving many people unemployed or underemployed. This has resulted in economic disparities and social unrest in many communities.Despite these challenges, technology also has the potential to bring about positive change. It has opened up new opportunities for education, healthcare, and innovation. It has connected people from all around the world and facilitated collaboration on a global scale. In conclusion, while technology has transformed society in many ways, it is important to consider the social implications of these advancements. We must strive to use technology responsibly and ethically, ensuring that it benefits all members of society and promotes a more inclusive and equitable world.3. The Importance of Environmental ConservationThe environment is one of the most critical issues facing the world today. With the rise of pollution, climate change, and deforestation, it is crucial that we take action to protect our planet for future generations. One of the key reasons why environmental conservation is essential is to preserve biodiversity. The loss of habitats and ecosystems threatens the survival of countless plant and animal species. By conserving the environment, we can protect biodiversity and ensure the balance of nature is maintained.Another important reason to prioritize environmental conservation is to mitigate the impact of climate change. The burning of fossil fuels and deforestation have led to an increase in greenhouse gases, leading to global warming and extreme weather events. By protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices, we can reduce our carbon footprint and minimize the effects of climate change.Additionally, environmental conservation is crucial for human health and well-being. Pollution from factories and vehicles can lead to respiratory problems and other health issues. By preserving clean air and water sources, we can ensure a healthier and more sustainable future for ourselves and future generations. In conclusion, environmental conservation is essential for the health of our planet and the well-being of all living things. It is up to each of us to take action and make a difference in protecting our environment. By working together, we can create a more sustainable and prosperous world for all.。

1My Big Dream to Become a ScientistHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. I love science more than anything in the whole wide world! Every night before I go to bed, I look up at the stars and wonder what amazing secrets are hiding out there in the universe. I can't wait to grow up and become a famous scientist who makes incredible discoveries and learns all about how everything works.Science is just so fascinating to me. I'm constantly asking my parents and teachers a million "why" questions because I want to understand everything. Why is the sky blue? Why do birds have feathers? Why does baking soda make a volcano erupt when you mix it with vinegar? Grownups must get tired of me always pestering them with my curious questions, but I just can't help it!In school, science is definitely my favorite subject. I love when we get to do fun experiments and little projects. Last month, we made miniature hovercrafts out of balloons, CDs, and bottle caps. It was so cool watching them glide across the floor! We also learned about the life cycle of butterflies and grew our very own caterpillars into beautiful painted lady butterflies that we released outside. I was amazed to see them transform from tiny wormy things into vibrant flying insects. At home, my room is like a little science lab. I have a microscope, a telescope, a rock tumbler, a terrarium for my pet Madagascar hissing cockroaches, and loads of other science kits. My prized possession is definitely my chemistry set though. I've used it to make all kinds of crazy concoctions like green smoky "monster spray", bouncy ball goo, and even invisible ink for sending secret coded messages to my friends. I have to be really careful with the chemicals of course, but it's just so much fun experimenting! For my last birthday, my parents took me to the Science Exploratorium in the city. That place is a kid's dream come true! They had so many awesome interactive exhibits on everything from electricity and magnetism to tornadoes and space travel. My favorite was probably the room where you could create massive soap bubbles bigger than a person. I've never seen bubbles so huge before! We spent the whole day there and I didn't want to leave. When I grow up, I definitely want to have a job that lets me explore the wonders of science every single day. I'm not totally sure yet what kind of scientist I want to be, but I have a few ideas. Maybe I'll be a paleontologist who digs up dinosaur bones and studies prehistoric life. Or perhaps an astronomer looking through powerful telescopes to investigate distant galaxies and search for planets like Earth. A marine biologist swimming with sharks and whales would be pretty neat too. Honestly, any job that allows me to make new discoveries and add to humanity's knowledge about our world would be my dream career.Maybe one day, years from now, a little kid will look up at the night sky in wonder just like I do now. And maybe that kid will read about me in their science books - the famous Dr. Timmy who achieved something remarkable and helped expand the boundaries of human knowledge. Just imagining that possible future makes me grin from ear to ear. I may only be 8 years old today, but I have a deep burning curiosity and a big dream that won't be extinguished. The world of science is waiting for me, and I can't wait to start exploring it!篇2My Big DreamHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. I love to read, play outside, and dream about what I want to be when I grow up. All my friends have such cool ideas for jobs - firefighter, doctor, astronaut, you name it! But I think I want to be a writer. Yep, that's my big dream.I've always loved stories, ever since I was a tiny kid. My mom and dad would read me bedtime stories and I'd be hooked, hanging on every word. The stories would whisk me away to magical lands filled with talking animals, brave knights, wicked witches, and all sorts of adventures. When the book was done, I never wanted the tale to end! That's when I started making up my own stories. I'd grab some markers and sketch out little picture books, filling them with crazy characters and ridiculous plots. Like this one time, there was a pickle that went to the moon and had a dance party with a bunch of martians! Yeah, it didn't really make a whole lot of sense, but that's what made it fun.As I got older, my love for stories grew even more. I started keeping journals and filling them with short stories about my life - that time I got stung by a bee at the park, the big snowball fight in the neighborhood after the blizzard, you get the idea. Writinghelped me hold onto all those memories and relive those exciting moments over and over again. In third grade, my teacher Ms. Martin really encouraged my writing. She'd have us do creative writing exercises and I'd get so into spinning my tales. One day she even entered one of my stories into a young writers' contest without me knowing. And can you believe it? I won third place! That's when it really hit me - maybe this writing thing could be more than just a hobby. Now in fourth grade, I've started working on my first book. Well, maybe you could call it a weird rambling novella scribbled in a composition notebook, but hey, everybody starts somewhere right? It's about this group of kids who discover an abandoned themepark full of crazy rides and sugary treats that have somehow come to life. I'm having a blast making it all up as I go along.I know being an author isn't the most typical job for a kid to dream about. But to me, there's nothing cooler than being able to craft new worlds, characters, and adventures - and sharing those stories to educate, entertain, and inspire others. Books opened up vast universes for me as a young reader. Maybe someday, my writing can help other kids escape into realms of magic and excitement too.Maybe I'll write epic fantasy novels full of wizards and dragons someday. Maybe I'll pen plays or screenplays that make it to the big stage. Maybe I'll keep it simple and write children's books to inspire the next generation of readers and daydreamers. Who knows, I may even write the next big graphic novel series that gets turned into blockbuster movies! The possibilities are endless when you can craft entire worlds from your imagination. My big dream of being a writer may seem a bit far-fetched sometimes. But I figure, as long as I work hard, keep practicing my skills, and never lose that creative spark, I'll find a way to make it happen. Because at the end of the day, isn't that what dreams are all about? Going after that seemingly impossible goal, no matter how many people tell you it can't be done? That's what all the heroes in my favorite stories do - they dream bigger than anyone else.So call me a dreamer, an imaginative kid with his head in the clouds. I'll take that as a compliment! Because those clouds are filled with endless story ideas, characters, and grand adventures - whole universes waiting for me to explore with my pen and paper. Maybe someday, others will join me in those imaginative realms through my writing. But for now, I've got tons of tales to dream up first. Better get back to scribbling!篇3My Family Vacation to HawaiiHi, my name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. Last summer, my family went on the best vacation ever to Hawaii! I'm going to tell you all about it.We had to take an airplane to get to Hawaii from where we live in California. I had never been on a plane before so I was really excited. The plane was huge! My mom got us seats by the window so we could see outside. Taking off was a little scary with all the noise from the engines, but once we were up in the sky it was awesome. You could see the whole city and roads and cars that looked like tiny ants from up high. The flight attendant brought us snacks and drinks too which was cool. After what felt like a really long time, we finally landed in Honolulu on the island of Oahu. As soon as we steppe篇4My Big Dream of Going to CollegeHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. I'm in 3rd grade and I love learning new things every day at school. My favorite subjects are math and science because I'm really curiousabout how things work. I also really like reading books about animals and outer space. But you know what my biggest dream is? I really, really want to go to college someday! I know I'm just a kid, but I can't wait until I'm old enough to apply to a university. College seems like the most amazing place. My big brother Jimmy is in college right now studying to become an engineer. He's really smart and loves building things. Sometimes when he comes home for breaks, he tells me all about the cool classes he takes and the huge libraries and laboratories on campus. It sounds like a magical place where you can learn absolutely anything you want!I asked Jimmy what his favorite part about college is and he said it's the freedom to choose your own classes on whatever subjects interest you most. He's taking classes on physics, robotics, computer programming and even rock climbing this semester! In elementary school, we don't really get to pick what we learn. But in college, you get to design your own curriculum based on your passions. How awesome is that?Jimmy also told me about all the fun activities and clubs you can join on a college campus. There are sports teams, music groups, language clubs, you name it. He's part of an outdooradventures club that goes hiking, kayaking and rock climbing on weekends. I'd love to join something like that someday because I'm a total nature nut. Maybe I could even start my own club about animals or environmentalism.Another thing that gets me really excited about college is the idea of being around so many different kinds of people from all over the world. My elementary school is just kids from my neighborhood, but a university has students from every state and country imaginenable. I can't wait to make friends with people who have totally different backgrounds and cultures than me. It will be like taking a trip around the globe without even leaving campus!I've also heard that college is a place where you get to share ideas and debate really interesting questions, no matter how big or small. Jimmy said in his philosophy class, they have these cool discussions about the meaning of life and ethics. He said it's ok to respectfully disagree with others and voice your own opinions, as long as you back them up with facts and good logic. That sounds so fun to me! At my age, we mainly just learn facts from books and teachers. But in college, you get to truly explore ideas from all angles. The thing I'm most nervous about with college is how incredibly expensive it seems to be. My parents are always talking about how rising tuition costs are going to make it hard to afford to send both me and Jimmy to get our degrees. I really hope that by the time I graduate high school, the government or colleges or someone will have figured out a way to make higher education a lot more affordable and accessible for all students. It would be really sad if money was the thing that stopped me from achieving my dream.Money issues aside, I honestly can't think of anything in the world more exciting than getting to go off to college, live in the dorms surrounded by other students, take classes on every single subject I could possibly want to learn about, join a ton of fun clubs and activities, and really prepare myself to go out into the world and make a difference someday. College sounds like the ultimate place to follow your curiosities, discover your passions, meet lifelong friends, and get yourself ready for the rest of your life.I know there's still a long road ahead before I'll be old enough to apply to universities. But college has been my dream ever since I was a little kid. I'm going to continue working as hard as I can in school, take lots of advanced classes in high school, join clubs, do community service, and make sure I do everything possible to get myself ready. Then, when the time finally comes, you can be sure I'll be filling out those college applications with a huge smile on my face! Maybe I'll even write them a super enthusiastic essay just like this one about why I'm so eager and determined to make my big college dream a reality.I can't wait to see what the future holds. The world is an amazing place with so much left to discover and learn about. And from everything I've heard, college is going to be the perfect place for me to prepare for my journey of exploring it all. Bring it on!篇5My Big AdventuresHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 8 years old. I love having fun adventures and doing all sorts of exciting things. I'm going to tell you about some of my biggest adventures from last year. Get ready for an awesome story time!Last summer, my family went on a huge road trip across the entire country! We packed up our minivan with snacks, games, and my favorite stuffed bear Teddy. The drive took forever but Ididn't mind because I got to look out the window at all the cool landscapes going by.First we went to the Grand Canyon. That thing is SO massive! It's like a humongous ditch carved right into the earth. We hiked a little way down into it and I felt so tiny compared to those giant orange rocky walls towering all around me. My dad said the canyon was created by a powerful river cutting through the ground over millions of years. Wild! After the Grand Canyon, we drove to an amazing beach on the Pacific Ocean. I had never seen such a vast ocean before - the water seemed to stretch on forever to the horizon. I really want to learn how to surf one day so I can ride those gnarly waves! We went swimming, built sandcastles, and I even found a few little crabs scuttling along the shore. Our next stop was the Big City - you know, the one with the huge green statue of the lady holding a torch? I was amazed by the skyscrapers that looked like they touched the clouds. We went to the top of one and I could see the whole urban jungle laid out below me, with thousands of tiny cars and people scurrying around like ants. That evening we saw an incredible Broadway musical about a young lion cub becoming king of theanimal kingdom. The singing, dancing, and costumes were just mesmerizing. From there, we traveled north into the mountains to go camping and hiking. We pitched our tent among towering pine trees, cooked our meals over a crackling campfire, and tried to identify all the different animal footprints we found on the trails. One morning, I woke up and saw an actual brown bear lumbering through the woods not far from our campsite! My heart felt like it could pound right out of my chest. After watching him from a safe distance for a while, the bear wandered off to go find some tasty fish for breakfast. On our final leg, we visited a working ranch out west where they still have cowboys herding cattle across the wide open prairies, just like in those old western movies. I even got to take a horseback riding lesson and learned how to steer the horse by pulling gently on the reins this way or that way. The ranch had the most outstanding red sunsets I've ever witnessed, with the sun turning into a brilliant orange fireball before slowly sinking behind the distant hills. After a few thousand miles of driving through over a dozen different states, we finally made it back home to our quiet little neighborhood. My poor legs had gotten stiff from being stuck inthe van for so long, but my mind was full of vivid memories from each place we had explored. I felt like a seasoned traveler after that epic road trip experience! Not long after we got back, it was time for me to start 3rd grade at my elementary school. I got placed in Mrs. Harper's class with a bunch of my friends from last year which was awesome. Third grade has been really fun so far! We've gotten to learn all about the human body, including how the icky skeleton keeps us from being melty piles of goop. My favorite unit was when we raised our very own tiny caterpillars and watched their incredible metamorphosis into beautiful butterflies before releasing them out into the wild. I remember being totally grossed out when they shed their skin - look away, look away!In art class this year, we learned different styles of painting like watercolors, oils, and acrylics. We even did self-portraits trying to capture exactly what we look like. Trust me, it's a lot harder than it seems to paint a face realistically! There's just so much tiny detail to get right. My self-portrait ended up looking more like a blotchy blob monster, but at least my parents thought it was creative.Probably the most exciting event of 3rd grade was when our whole class went on a field trip to the city Science Museum. Theyhad this ultra-cool Grossology exhibit about the human body's less-than-delightful substances like boogers, flatus, scabs - you name it! I know it sounds totally gross but it was actually fascinating learning about all those icky things our bodies produce and why. My favorite part was the flatulence video showing how farts are just gas from the foods we eat, no matter how stinky and embarrassing they might be. I just couldn't stop giggling! The Grossology exhibit also had a Play-Doh exhibit where we could sculpt our very own boogers out of neon green dough. Mine had a humongous nostril lair and everything. We even got to compete in a "Burp-Off" and I was awarded the Loudest Burp Trophy! You should've heard the echoing belch that won it for me. My parents would've killed me if I did that at home.At the end of the museum trip, I spent ages exploring the gift shop and begged my mom to get me the Gross Clubs Science Kit so I could grow cultures of mold, fungus, and bacteria in my very own Petri dishes at home. Just think of all the putrid experiments I could do! She finally gave in, but only if I promised to be safe and not contaminate the whole house. Fair enough, I wouldn't want her bringing home rotten stuff from work either - she's a trash collector.Phew, I've rambled on enough for now! As you can see, I've been lucky enough to go on some amazing little excursions both near and far over this past year. From hiking in national parks to braving gross science exhibits, there's always an opportunity for fun adventures if you keep your eyes open and your sense of curiosity alive. I'm just a little kid, but I feel like I've already made a ton of priceless memories. Who knows what other neat experiences await me in the years ahead? Maybe I'll discover some newly found ancient ruins on my own and become a famous archaeologist! For now though, it's time for me to go play some rousing games of make-believe in the backyard. Thanks for reading about my big adventures!篇6My Big Dreams for the FutureHi there! My name is Emma, and I'm a 10-year-old girl who loves to dream big. I know I'm still just a kid, but I have so many exciting ideas and plans for when I grow up. I can't wait to share them with you!First of all, I want to be a scientist when I'm older. I've always been fascinated by the natural world and how things work. I love conducting little experiments in my backyard and observing allthe different plants and animals. My favorite subject in school is science, and I especially love learning about space and the universe. Can you imagine how cool it would be to discover a new planet or star? Or maybe even travel to outer space one day? That would be the ultimate dream come true! But my interests don't stop there. I also have a deep passion for helping others and making a positive impact on the world. That's why I think it would be amazing to be a doctor or a nurse. Imagine being able to save lives and help people feel better when they're sick or hurt. It must be such a rewarding feeling to know that you're making a real difference in someone's life.Another dream of mine is to travel the world and experience different cultures. I love learning about different countries, their traditions, and their languages. It would be so amazing to visit places like Paris, Tokyo, and Cairo and see all the famous landmarks and historical sites. Can you imagine standing in front of the Eiffel Tower or the Great Pyramids of Giza? Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps! And while I'm traveling the world, I also want to use my skills and knowledge to help people in need. Maybe I could volunteer with organizations that provide medical care or education to underprivileged communities. Or perhaps I could work ondeveloping new technologies or scientific solutions to tackle global problems like climate change, hunger, or disease. The possibilities are endless, and I'm determined to use my talents and passions to make a positive impact on the world. One thing that will help me stay motivated and focused is the support of my family and friends. They've always believed in me and encouraged me to pursue my dreams, no matter how big or ambitious they might seem. With their love and encouragement, I know I can overcome any obstacle that comes my way.And even though I'm just a kid right now, I'm already taking steps to prepare for my future. I work hard in school, participate in extracurricular activities, and try to learn new things every day. I'm constantly reading books, watching documentaries, and exploring my interests in whatever way I can.Who knows, maybe one day I'll be the one making groundbreaking scientific discoveries or performing life-saving surgeries. Or maybe I'll be the one traveling to remote corners of the world, helping communities in need and making a real difference in people's lives. The possibilities are endless, and I can't wait to see what the future holds. So, that's my big dream for the future – to be a scientist, a doctor, a world traveler, and someone who makes a positive impact on the world. It might seem like a lot to take on, but I'm up for the challenge. With hard work, determination, and a positive attitude, I know I can achieve anything I set my mind to.Who knows, maybe one day you'll be reading about my adventures and accomplishments in the newspaper or seeing me on TV. Until then, I'll just keep dreaming big and working hard to make those dreams a reality. Wish me luck!。
