I would read this book two or three times, and I do not like reading books again. The book was really able to portray the idea of childhood innocence and foolishness in the book, especially the end. I thought that this book was really an eye opener for people who may think that life is not worth living or maybe derpessed. Because, as you can see, Huck was a young boy who had an alcoholic father who beat him all the time, even kidnapped him after he was adopted by other people. Huck even decided to run away from his father, yet he is still a young, fun loving kid in the end, especially when Tom reveals to him how the whole trip was just a game. The only thing I have to say against the book is that it did seem a little racist with its words, however maybe this is just how they talked in that time period? 律师从菜鸟到达人，大致有两个阶段，第一段是学习technical skills，成为做业务的好手，第二阶段是营造自己的contact network，学习business deveopment，成为或大或小的rain maker，摆脱靠天（employer) 吃饭的状态。

两个阶段的成长速度，不论你在外所还是内所，天赋都有很大影响，但后天的勤奋和学习更重要，除非你天生就是罗纳尔多或马拉多纳。

对第二阶段，我还在抬头仰望、四顾茫然，但对第一阶段已经有了些许浅薄体会，写出来供新人参考、达人指点。

一、不等不靠、自力更生、为上级和老板分忧这说的是做业务还不是拓展业务，外所或者大的内所刚进去时还不用考虑拓展业务的事。

新人一定不能老想着“我是菜鸟，所以遇到难题我要等上级来解决”，反正我做完被要求做的事情就可以收工了。

这种态度其实最妨碍学习进步。

比如最基础的翻译，外所通常做法是让助理或初级律师做first draft，高级律师review。

于是有的人就马虎应付，做完后也不检查，扔给senior律师了事。

这样自己很长时间都不知道自己究竟做错在哪里，差距在哪里。

正确的做法应当是自己先review一遍（如果时间或客户的预算允许的话），这样就能减少许多低级错误，大大减轻senior律师的负担，然后senior律师review完后你再拿来和自己做的对比、学习一下，你就能飞速地提高。

更重要的是，过不了多久senior律师就会觉得你做的东西没什么好review的，review你做的东西就是浪费时间，这些话一定会传到老板耳朵里，因此任务繁忙时就有可能把你也拉进来跟高级律师们一起review助理们做的东西，这样到salary review时你就可以顺理成章地跟老板说工资和title上要向senior律师看齐，因为你的价值已经跟他们一样，或者你自己不提老板也会那么做。

翻译只是一个例子，做research、写法律文件、乃至高年级律师出去帮老板做business development，都应有这种态度和方法。

菜鸟学英语之学英语改变我的人生（转）四回译（译背）-----提高口语与写作1、回译的优点这个方法是Baobab偶然发现的. 当时在准备单位里的考试, 要突击背下几十篇商业信函. 为了争取时间, 我先看一遍英文, 然后开始照着中文开始按记忆译回去, 记不清的句子就看一下原句. 效果非常好. 当时有个朋友不相信baobab能在这么短时间记下这么多商业信函, 就挑了一封新的让Baobab当面背, 结果一分多钟后,无论他让我对这封信作汉译英还是英译汉,我都一字不差。

此后我就开始用这个办法背书, 效果非常好. 大家也许会说, 那是因为baobab你记性好, 而且课文你又听写过又翻译过, 课文你都记得差不多了。

这里我想把它跟我过去背课文的方法作个对比:以前我是第一遍先看着课文跟读录音, 第二、三遍不看书跟读录音, 第四遍以后在不看书的情况下，我先读一句,然后听录音核对一句，这样需要五遍才能把课文背下来。

后改用译背法, 我只需要两遍就可以背下课文。

是否只适合听写过的课文呢？不是的。

Baobab后来在学习《常春藤名家散文》就没有听写，直接用阅读口译---回译方法精读课文，都是30分钟就可以记住一篇。

此后精读无声材料时也常常用翻译---回译法学习。

当初baobab把它称为“译背”，主要用来背书，还以为是自己发明的。

直到在旺旺英语论坛遇到阿呆，才知道早在阿呆读初中时，他的英语老师就已经要求全班同学用翻译---回译法学习。

此后又看了一些外语学习方面的书，知道双语互译法由来已久，Baobab不过是无师自通。

双语对译是掌握外语的习惯用法、提高口语与写作翻译的好方法，而不仅仅局限于背书。

所以本书将“译背”改称为“回译”。

回译有许多优点：1）提高记忆效率传统的机械记忆需要回想全部内容，包括故事情节等，从而加重记忆的负担。

而译背则只需要回想那些没记住或记忆不准确的地方，而那些熟悉的地方在译文的提示下很容易的就能背出。

此外，译背把被动的机械记忆转化为主动的再忆过程，更有针对性地找到那些尚不能回忆或回忆有误的地方。
