Professor Boffin finds Mohe Town(漠河镇) is the coldest in China. The lowest temperature was -52.30C there on Feb.13th, 1962. Turpan Basin(吐鲁番盆地) is the hottest. The highest temperature was 48.90C there. Taklamakan Desert(塔克拉玛干沙漠) is the driest. There’s only about 6.3mm of rain per year. Lhasa (拉萨)is called “Sunshine city”. Kunming is named “Spring City”.
Professor Boffin has been to China. He visited most parts of China. The weather in the south is quite different from that in the north. In the south it’s always warm and hot. People never see snow there. In the north of China, it’s very cold from October to March.
When we look at the sky, we know what the weather is like. Every day the weather is different. Why? The changing weather has something to do with the sun.

一、教材分析
本课要教学的是自然界中的事物及天气的变化,五年级的学生已经基本了解天气的变化主要和太阳有关系.掌握这些单词的读音,意义,并能用各种句型操练单词.其中kind以前已经学过,但本课a kind of有着另外一种意思,要求学生会区分两种不同的意思.
二、学情分析
本课中大多数单词已初步接触过,对大多数学生来说并不陌生,可以读一下,然后通过组词,造句,编对话的形式来巩固这些单词.
三、教学目标
(1)基础目标
1.掌握8个单词和句子,并能用它们组词造句.
2.让学生这些单词中元音字母及元音字母组合的发音,帮助单词的拼写.
3.重点:a kind of 的两种不同意思.
4.难点:comfortable单词的发音,特别是中间元音的发音.
(2)发展目标
写一段话,尽量使用本课的新单词.
(3)情感目标
培养学生了解大自然,热爱大自然,热爱生活的情操.

Ask two students to come to the front and talk about some topics.II While-task procedure:1. Learn the new words (shine, earth, comfortable, heat, seem, become, raindrop, a kindof) while talking about the weather and other things.2. T: Today is fine. The sun shines.
