( 3 分)(二)太空“拥堵”挑战人类智慧(管克江于宏建)(12分)①美国东部时间2月10日上午11时55分(北京时间11日零时55分),美国一颗私营商用通信卫星和俄罗斯一颗报废的军用通信卫星在太空相撞,这是人类历史上首次发生完整的在轨卫星在太空相撞。
根据美俄双方透露的消息,卫星相撞位置在西伯利亚北部上空790至805公里处。
②美国国防部的太空监测网最早发现了相撞事件,并开始追踪两大块碎片云。
美国宇航局轨道碎片项目首席科学家尼古拉斯·约翰逊说:“这是两个完整的航天器首次意外相撞。
这是糟糕的一天。
”管理太空监测网的美军战略司令部发言人查理·德雷说:“我们正在跟踪太空碎片,它们对其它卫星造成了威胁。
”美国宇航局说,在两颗卫星中,美方卫星是1997年发射的“铱33”商用通信卫星,重约560公斤;俄方卫星重900多公斤,已停止运转,上面没有移动控制系统。
③俄罗斯航天兵第一副司令亚库申12日确认,与美方“铱33”卫星相撞的是俄罗斯于1993年发射的“宇宙2251”军用通信卫星。
据亚库申介绍,由俄罗斯航天兵负责监控的“宇宙2251”军用通信卫星自1995年起就已停止使用。

约翰逊说,两块碎片云中只有很小一部分能“降落”到国际空间站的轨道上,“我们相信撞击事件给国际空间站增加的风险非常非常小”,但是碎片对哈勃太空望远镜和一些地球观测卫星的威胁更大,因为它们在更高的轨道上运行,距撞击后产生的碎片更近。
俄罗斯航天署新闻秘书沃罗比约夫则表示,根据目前掌握的情况,卫星碎片不会对国际空间站的安全造成威胁。
