Unit 16On the London EyeWhere did you go on holidays?togetherThe London Eye伦敦眼（英文名：The London Eye）全称英国航空伦敦眼（The British Airways London Eye）又称千禧之轮，坐落在伦敦泰晤士河畔，是世界第三大摩天轮（次于坐落在新加坡的摩天观景轮和中国南昌高160米的“南昌之星”摩天轮），是伦敦的地标之一，也是伦敦最吸引游人的观光点之一。
伦敦眼于1999年年底开幕，总高度135米（443英尺）。
伦敦眼共有32个乘坐舱，全部设有空调并不能打开窗。
每个乘坐舱可载客约15名，回转速度约为每秒0.26米，即一圈需时30分钟。
the River Thames英国的母亲河•泰晤士河（英语：River Thames），位于英格兰东南，源自科茨科尔德山（Cotswold Hills），大致向东流，流经的第一个小镇是克里克莱德，流经伦敦，在诺尔注入北海。
全长约338公里，为英格兰最长之河流（英国第二长河，次于354公里的塞文河），也是全世界水面交通最繁忙的都市河流和伦敦地标之一。
Tower Bridge伦敦塔桥（Tower Bridge）是位于英国伦敦一座横跨泰晤士河铁桥，因位于伦敦塔附近而得名。
伦敦塔桥有时被误称为伦敦桥（London Bridge），其实真正的伦敦桥是另一座完全不同的桥梁，位于伦敦塔桥的上游。
伦敦塔桥附近著名的旅游点有伦敦塔、圣卡瑟琳码头和Shad Thames街。
Westminster Bridge1862年开通的威斯敏斯特大桥是伦敦现存最古老的桥梁了，因著名的威斯敏斯特大教堂而得名。

Big BenBig Ben英国伦敦著名古钟，即威斯敏斯特宫报时钟（坐标：51°30′02.2″N, 00°07′28.6″W）英国国会会议厅附属的钟楼，建于1859年。

它会有潮汐现象，即使在伦敦市的西边（内陆）也如此；只有在涨潮的时候，船只才能进出伦敦塔桥上游的伦敦池（Pool of London）。

It’s open —塔桥（Tower Bridge）的桥身可以分开并抬起，大型般只可以由此驶向上游的伦敦池。
Pass me —与give me和show me作比较一双宾语动词，其间接宾语是me，直接宾语是the binoculars。
