Last Sunday, I came back to Beijing after a short-term study in Canada. Upon arriving at the airport, I immediately caught sight of my mother and brother who came to meet me. Sharing the details of my journey in Canada, I returned home with them.

Just as the saying goes, east or west, home is the best. The moment I stepped into my home, all the familiar memories presented themselves vividly before me. I went into my room, preparing to unpack my suitcase and have a good rest. However, hardly had I opened the suitcase when I noticed that there was a book from the Coldwater School Library in Canada. It dawned on me that I forgot to return the book before going back to China.

Books are embodiments of knowledge. Besides, I had the obligation to return the book that didn’t belong to me. So I took actions immediately. I surfed the Internet and found out the address of Coldwater School Library. Afterwards, I spent an hour writing a sincere letter of apology, expressing how guilty I felt for forgetting to return the book. Having finished all the work, it was already midnight. Tired as I was, I felt more relieved, for the sake of making up for my negligence.

The next day, I went directly into the China Post Office to mail the book and the letter overseas. Looking at the clerk take my packed box away, a sense of relief flooded every corner of my heart. Everyone made mistakes, but lucky was I, who had the chance to correct them. It was the evidence of having the ability to shoulder my responsibilities, which I took pride in.

April 12 is a memorable day, on which our class went to the suburbs to plant trees, leaving a great impression on me.

Early in the morning, with the rising sun, we bicycled to the suburbs, talking and laughing all the way. As soon as we arrived at the planting spot, we set out to work immediately. Aiming to complete the task as soon as possible, we were divided into several groups. Some were allocated to dig holes. Some strong boys offered to carry and plant young trees. Still others were responsible for watering them. As was the air and as was the wind around us，we all worked in high spirits. Cooperating so well, we got the work done within two hours. Afterwards，we put up a board, reminding people to protect the trees. Before leaving, we took some photos to record our green action, which was of great significance. Seeing the lines of trees, we all had a sense of achievement. We feel it’s our duty to protect and beautify our environment.

In my bottom heart, this green action impressed me a lot. We not only lived up to the low-carbon lifestyle, but also exercised our bodies during the toil, which was really worthwhile.
