Reading
There is one language. It is in use in every country in the world. It’s sign language.
When we want to tell other people what we want to say, we can do it with the help of words or signs. Sometimes we move our heads up and down when we want to say “yes”, and move our heads from side to side when we want to say “no”.
When you wave to a friend, and you smile at someone, you are using sign language.
When the teacher asks a question in class, you put up your hand first. Besides can’t talk but point at things. They are using sign language, too. A policeman wants to stop traffic, and he holds up his hand. Winston Churchill’s famous “V-for-victory”was sign language, too. One finger in front of the mouth can mean “quiet”.
How many hand signs do you use every day?。
