本着以人为本的理念，我们英语社团活动的开展就以学生的兴趣和需要为出发点。

案例：迪士尼英文动画选择科学化、趣味化、生活化，并与生活实际、社会热点及学生的心理世界密切关联的视听材料，每周四定时播放，参加本社团的学生在观看完毕后说出观后感，或与同学合作交流，有时观完后立刻练习口语、交流看法。

学生通过自主体验更多地了解了英语知识，形成了跨国交际的意识和能力，扩大了国际视野，更重要的是，激发了学生的兴趣。

二、充分发挥学生主体性，发展自主学习能力新课程标准要求课堂学习过程中学生能够积极主动地学习，更多地体现学生在活动过程中的主体作用，在教师的指导下，学生通过自主学习、自主探究使自己的能力得到不断的提高。

课堂教学是发挥教师主导和学生主体的主渠道，而作为由有共同爱好和兴趣自愿参加的中学英语社团，则是一个学生自我管理、自我发展的重要阵地,是英语课堂的有效补充，也是充分发挥学生主体的另一个舞台。

为此，我们举行了“whyme”英语取名字比赛，来说一说自己的英文名字。
