She paid the driver and, using her hands to feel the location of the seats, walked down the aisle and found the seat he'd told her was empty. Then she settled in, placed her briefcase on her lap and rested her cane against her leg.It had been a year since Susan, 34, became blind. Due to a medical misdiagnosis she had been rendered sightless, and she was suddenly thrown into a world of darkness, anger, frustration and self pity. And all she had to cling to was her husband, Mark.Mark was an Air Force officer and he loved Susan with all his heart. When she first lost her sight, he watched her sink into despair and was determined to help his wife gain the strength and confidence she needed to become independent again. Finally, Susan felt ready to return to her job, but how would she get there? She used to take the bus, but was now too frightened to get around the city by herself. Mark volunteered to drive her to work each day, even though they worked at opposite ends of the city.At first, this comforted Susan, and fulfilled Mark's need to protect his sightless wife who was so insecure about performing the slightest task. Soon, however, Mark realized the arrangement wasn't working. Susan is going to have to start taking the bus again, he admitted to himself. But she was still so fragile, so angry - how would she react?Just as he predicted, Susan was horrified at the idea of taking the bus again. "I'm blind!", she responded bitterly. "How am Isupposed to know where I am going? I feel like you're abandoning me."Mark's heart broke to hear these words, but he knew what had to be done. Hepromised Susan that each morning and evening he would ride the bus with her, for as long as it took, until she got the hang of it.And that is exactly what happened. For two solid weeks, Mark, military uniform and all, accompanied Susan to and from work each day. He taught her how to rely on her other senses, specifically her hearing, to determine where she was and how to adapt her new environment. He helped her befriend the bus drivers who could watch out for her, and save her a seat. Finally, Susan decided that she was ready to try the trip on her own. Monday morning arrived, and before she left, she threw her arms around Mark, her temporary bus riding companion, her husband, and her best friend. Her eyes filled with tears of gratitude for his loyalty, his patience, and his love. She said good-bye, and for the first time, they went their separate ways.Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday... Each day on her own went perfectly, and Susan had never felt better. She was doing it! She was going to work all by herself. On Friday morning, Susan took the bus to work as usual. As she was paying the fare to exit the bus, the driver said, "Boy, I sure do envy you."Susan wasn't sure if the driver was speaking to her or not. After all, who on earth would ever envy a blind woman who had struggled just to find the courage to live for the past year? Curious, she asked the driver, "Why do you say that you envy me?"The driver responded, "It must feel good to be taken care of and protected like you are."Susan had no idea what the driver was talking about, and again asked, "What do you mean?"The driver answered, "You know, every morning for the past week, a fine looking gentleman in a military uniform has been standing across the corner watching you as you get off the bus. He makes sure you cross the street safely and he watches until you enter your office building. Then he blows you a kiss, gives you a little salute and walks away. You are one lucky lady."Tears of happiness poured down Susan's cheeks. For although she couldn't physically see him, she had always felt Mark's presence. She was lucky, so lucky, for he had given her a gift more powerful than sight, a gift she didn't need to see to believe - the gift of love that can bring light where there is darkness.史上最感人的英文故事篇三a girl and a boy were on a motorcycle, speeding through the night.they loved each other a lot..girl:' slow down a little.. i'm scared..'boy: 'no, it's so fun..'girl: 'please... it's so scary..'boy: 'then say that you love me..'girl: 'fine..i love you..can you slow down now?'boy: 'give me a big hug..'the girl gave him a big hug.girl: 'now can you slow down?'boy: 'can you take off my helmet and put it on?it's uncomfortable and?it's bothering me while i drive.'the next day, there was a story in the newspaper. a motorcyclehad crashed into a building because its brakes were broken.there were two people on the motorcycle, of which one died, and the other had survived...the guy knew that the brakes were broken. he didn't want to letthe girl know, because he knew that the girl would have gotten scared.instead, he was told the last time that she loved him, got a hug from her,put his helmet on her so that she can live, and die himself...once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, lovegives us a fairy tale...。

感人原创故事短篇作文英文Title: The Healing Song。

In a small village nestled among rolling hills, there lived a young girl named Maya. Maya possessed a rare gift: a voice that could soothe the most troubled souls. But Maya's own heart carried a heavy burden, for she had lost her parents at a tender age. Despite her grief, she found solace in her singing, believing that her melodies could mend even the deepest wounds. One day, as Maya wandered through the forest, her heart heavy with sorrow, she stumbled upon a wounded bird. Its feathers were ruffled, and its song was feeble. Moved by compassion, Maya gently cradled the bird in her hands and began to sing. Her voice, like a gentle breeze, wrapped around the bird, filling it with warmth and hope. Slowly, the bird's wounds began to heal, and its song grew stronger with each passing moment.Word of Maya's gift spread throughout the village, and soon people from far and wide sought her out in their times of need. Whether it was a broken heart or a weary soul, Maya's voice had the power to heal. Yet, despite the joyshe brought to others, Maya could not shake off the sadness that lingered within her own heart. One evening, as Maya sat by the riverbank, her thoughts troubled, she heard a faint cry for help. Following the sound, she discovered a young boy named Kai, trappedbeneath a fallen tree. Without hesitation, Maya rushed tohis aid, using all her strength to lift the heavy branches that pinned him down. As Kai emerged from the rubble, bruised but alive, he looked up at Maya with gratitude inhis eyes."You saved me," he whispered, his voice filled with awe.Maya smiled softly, her heart lighter than it had beenin years. In that moment, she realized that her purpose in life was not just to heal others but also to find healing within herself. With Kai by her side, Maya embarked on ajourney of self-discovery, learning to let go of the past and embrace the beauty of the present moment.Together, Maya and Kai traveled from village to village, spreading hope and kindness wherever they went. And though their paths were fraught with challenges, they faced them with courage and resilience, knowing that as long as they had each other, they could overcome anything. In the end, Maya's gift was not just her voice but also her capacity to love and to be loved in return. And as she sang her healing song under the starlit sky, she knew that her parents were smiling down on her from the heavens above, proud of the woman she had become. For Maya had found her true calling—to bring lightinto the darkest corners of the world and to remind others that even in the midst of despair, there is always hope. And as long as there was hope, there would always be a reason to sing.。

关于情感的感人小故事英语

关于情感的感人小故事英语Once upon a time in a small village, there lived an old man named George. He was a widower whose wife, Emily, had passed away a few years ago. Despite his age and the loneliness that often enveloped him, George had a passion for life and a heart full of love.Every morning, George would wake up early and walk to the local park. There, he would feed the birds and watch the sun rise, a ritual he shared with Emily during their years together. He would often talk to the birds, telling them about his day and reminiscing about the past. One day, as George was feeding the birds, he noticed a small, shabby birdhouse tucked away in a corner of the park. It was weather-beaten and clearly abandoned. George felt a pang of sadness for the little home that once held warmth and family. He decided then and there to build a new birdhouse.Over the next few days, George worked tirelessly, carving and painting a beautiful birdhouse. He even added a small plaque with the words "Emily's Perch" in memory of his beloved wife. When the birdhouse was ready, he placed it in the same spot as the old one, hoping to bring joy to the birds and a sense of continuity to the park.Word spread quickly around the village about the new birdhouse. Children would come to admire it, and othervillagers would stop by to share a kind word with George. The birdhouse became a symbol of hope and love in the community. One afternoon, a young girl named Lily approached George with a drawing of the birdhouse. She told him that she had been feeling very lonely since her family moved to the village. The birdhouse, she said, had become a place where she could find solace and make friends with the local children.George's eyes welled up with tears as he realized the impact his small act of kindness had on others. From that day on, George started building birdhouses forother parks and schools in the village. Each one had a story, a name, and a little piece of George's heart. The village became known as the place of birdhouses, and George became a local hero, spreading love and companionship through hissimple yet profound gestures.Years later, when George passed away, the village held a ceremony to honor his memory. They planted a tree in the park, next to the original birdhouse, and beneath it, they placed a stone with the words, "In loving memory of George, a man who taught us to build homes for the heart."This story teaches us that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a profound impact on the lives of others. It's a reminder to cherish the connections we make and to alwayslook for ways to spread love and joy, no matter how simplethey may seem.。

感人故事英文作文A Heart warming Story.Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Tommy. Tommy was a bitof a rascal, always getting into little scrapes here and there, but he hada heart of gold.Tommy lived in a small town where everyone knew everyone else. One day, he noticed that old Mr. Jenkins, who lived down the street, was having a really tough time. Mr. Jenkins' dog, a friendly old Labrador named Buddy, had gone missing. Mr. Jenkins was so sad. His eyes were all red and puffy from crying, and he just moped around the neighborhood, calling out Buddy's name every few minutes.Tommy decided he was going to find Buddy. He put on his detective hat which was really just an old baseball cap and set out on his mission. He searched all the usual places: the park, the alley behind the grocery store, and even the creek at the edge of town. But there was no sign of Buddy. As Tommy was walking back home, feeling a bit defeated, he heard afaint whimper coming from an old, abandoned shed. His heart skipped a beat. He ran over to the shed and peeked through a crack in the door. There was Buddy, lying on the floor, his paw caught in an old trap.Tommy didn't even think twice. He pushed open the door and knelt down beside Buddy. "Hey there, big guy. It's okay. I'm here to help you," hesaid in a soothing voice. But the trap was really stuck. Tommy tried withall his might to pry it open, but his little hands just weren't strong enough.Just then, Tommy's big brother, Jake, happened to be passing by. Jake was a bit of a tough guy, always playing football and looking cool. But when he saw Tommy trying to help Buddy, his heart melted. "What's going on here, squirt?" he asked Tommy. Tommy quickly explained the situation.Jake got down on the floor and, with his much stronger hands, managed to open the trap. Buddy was free! But his paw was hurt pretty badly. Tommy took off his shirt much to Jake's surprise and wrapped it gently around Buddy's paw. Then, the two brothers carried Buddy back to Mr. Jenkins' house. When Mr. Jenkins saw Buddy, he broke into the biggest smile. He hugged Buddy tightly and then turned to Tommy and Jake. "You boys are heroes," he said, his voice full of emotion. From that day on, Tommy was no longer just the little rascal of the neighborhood. He was the boy who saved Buddy. And every time he walked past Mr. Jenkins' house, Buddy would come running out, wagging his tail, as if to say thank you all over again. It was a simple act of kindness that made the whole town feel a little bit warmer.。

一个感人的英文小故

一个感人的英文小故事
A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
“Daddy, may I ask you a question?”
“Yeah sure, what is it?” replied the man.
“Daddy, how much do you make an hour?”
“That’s none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?” the man said angrily.“I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?” pleaded the little boy.
“If you must know, I make $20 an hour.”
“Oh,” the little boy replied, with his head down. Looking up, he said, “Daddy, may I please borrow $10?”
The father was furious, “If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard every day for such childish behavior.”
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy’s questions. How dare he ask suc h questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $10 and he really didn’t ask for money very often.
The man went to the door of the lit tle boy’s room and opened the door.
“Are you asleep, son?” He asked.
“No daddy, I’m awake,” replied the boy.
“I’ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier,” said the man, “It’s been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here’s the $10you asked for.”
The little boy sat straight up, smiling. “Oh, thank you daddy!” He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at his father.
“Why do you want more money if you already have some?” the father grumbled.
“Because I didn’t have enough, but now I do,” the little boy replied. “Daddy, I have $20 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.”
