【same】

The same as与as...as...两者意思均为“和...一样”，但结构不同，分别为：

The same+n.+as+n./从句；as+adj./adv.原级+as+n.

He has the same age as you.=He is as old as you.他和你一样大

Does Tara work as hard as Tina? 塔拉和蒂娜学习一样刻苦吗？

◆作比较时，表示修饰两种事物的程度是一样的，用as…as句型，意为“和……一样”，两个as之间用形容词或副词原级，即用“as+形容词或副词原级+as”的句型。如：

The watermelon is as big as a soccer ball. 这个西瓜和足球一样大。

◆表示一方在某一方面不及另一方时用“not as/so+形容词或副词原级+as”的句型，相当于less…than…意为“不如……”。如：

This dictionary is not as/so useful as you think. = This dictionary is less useful than you think.

【suppose】

suppose作及物动词，意为“想；认为；猜想；料想”。

◆后接that引导的宾语从句，that可以省略。

如：I don't suppose (that) I'll trouble you. 我想我不会麻烦你。(同think,否定前移)

如：She had supposed him to be very rich.她原以为他很有钱。

◆suppose sb.+名词/形容词（宾语补足语）。
