Good morning,everyone. It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. The content of my lesson is Unit 4. Teaching objective:

1. To master the usuage of imperative sentence

2. To master the usuage of moral verb.

3.To develop students’ re ading and writing skills.

4. Students can use the patterns to express their thoughts in the proper scene.

Don’t do...

We must... We have to... We don’t have to...

Can we do...? Yes, we can./No, we can’t, but we can do...

Does he have to do...?Y es, he does./No, he doesn’t.

By completing the task, the Ss increase their interest and set up self-confidence in language study;

Difficult points:

Imperative sentence and moral verbs are the key and difficult points of this unit. The study of this lesson will help the Ss with daily communication.

Teaching Process:

In order to realize the teaching process systematically, properly and efficiently, under the principle of “regard Ss as the corpus, the teacher inspires for predominance”, I divide the teaching process

into five steps.

1. 2d : Role-play the conversation.

Firstly, I will ask students one question: There are a lot of rules in John and Alice’s school. Can you tell me some of the rules? Then, I will let them read fastly and answer my question. Then According their answers I will correct their mistakes.(It’s a good chance to lead-in the usuage of imperative sentence.)

I will let them read after the tape. Then I will ask two students to read the conversation. I will say: Ok, I want two students to read the coversation. Which group wants to read? Hands up. At last, I will explain some knowledge points for them. Such as on time, bring..to..

2. Grammer focus:

Firstly, I will let the students read these sentences loudly. Then I will list some sentences on ppt and let them try to find the common point by themselves. For example:

Sit down.→ Don’t sit down.

Come in.→ Don’t come in.

Open the door.→Don’t open the door.

At the same time, I will explain for them in detail.

3. 3a: Write the rules for the school library.

Firstly, I will let students talk about these four pictures in groups,and try to write the rules. Then check the answes. At the

same time, I will tell them: Don’t talk.=No talking. And I will give them more examples,and let them try to answer.

4. 3b:Use the words to make questions about the rules.Then write answers according to your school.

I will let three students write their answers on the blackboard. I will check their answers with them together.

5. 3c:Make up five rules for your dream school. Share your rules with the class. Your classmates vote for the Coolest School. Firstly,I will let Students discuss together in groups, and write five rules in five minutes. Then I will let them share their their rules.

(It considers that students can keep their attentions in limited time. This activity can avoid the lifelessness and boredom from the pure machine drills. It creates the conditions of a relaxed and natural atmosphere for children’s drills. Then achieve the aim of consolidating and deepening the sentence pattern.)

Group activities are carried out in my teching process. From this way, students can speak English with ease. With no doubt, this will encourage them to speak English.

Homework:

Ask students to write 3-5 pieces of their family rules.
