1.blind adj.瞎的；失明的
e.g.He can't see the car. He is blind.
前面用the表示一类人。the blind表示“盲人”。
be blind to…对……视而不见
e.g. I must have be blind not to realize the danger we are in.我一定是瞎了眼，连我们身临险境也看不出来。
turn a blind eye to ……对……熟视无睹
e.g.The police has turn a blind eye to the matter. 警方对那一事件熟视无睹。
2.radio n.无线电广播复数形式：radios
We can get some news on this radio.
His grandpa likes collecting radios.
3.helpful adj.有用的；有帮助的
be helpful to sb. 对……有好处
e.g.The dog is helpful. It can help the blind.
反义词：helpless adj.无用的
help n./v. 帮助
help sb. do sth. 帮助某人做某事
4.rescue n.营救v.营救
e.g.The man goes to her rescue. (作名词)
He rescued her from drowning(溺水). （作动词）

mean doing sth. 意味着

6.allow v.允许进入（或出去，通过）
allow sb. to do sth. 允许某人做某事

7.anywhere adv.任何地方
e.g.You can go anywhere you like these days. 这些天你可以去你想去的地方。
anywhere 用法：用在肯定句中，译为“任何地方”；用在疑问、否定句中，译为“在某处”。
E.g.It could come from anywhere. 它可以来自任何地方。
You can’t go anywhere. 你哪儿也不准去。

apologize for sth. 为某事道歉
E.g. I apologized to him for being late. 我因迟到而向他道歉。
