AUIAUI:Attachment Unit Interface 连接单元接口AUI 端口是用来与粗同轴电缆连接的接口，它是一种"D"型15针接口，这在令牌环网或总线型网络中是一种比较常见的端口之一。
路由器可通过粗同轴电缆收发器实现与10Base-5网络的连接，但更多的是借助于外接的收发转发器（AUI-to-RJ-45），实现与10Base-T以太网络的连接。
当然也可借助于其他类型的收发转发器实现与细同轴电缆（10Base-2）或光缆（10Base-F）的连接。
这里所讲的路由器AUI接口主要是用粗同轴电缆作为传输介质的网络进行连接用的，AUI 接口示意图如图所示。
BNCBNC接头，是一种用于同轴电缆的连接器，全称是Bayonet Nut Connector（刺刀螺母连接器，这个名称形象地描述了这种接头外形），又称为British Naval Connector（英国海军连接器，可能是英国海军最早使用这种接头）或Bayonet Neill Conselman（Neill Conselman刺刀，这种接头是一个名叫Neill Conselman的人发明的）。
BNC接口即常说的细同轴电缆接口。
BNC接头可没有被淘汰，因为同轴电缆是一种屏蔽电缆，有传送距离长、信号稳定的优点。
目前它还被大量用于通信系统中，如网络设备中的E1接口就是用两根BNC接头的同轴电缆来连接的，在高档的监视器、音响设备中也经常用来传送音频、视频信号。
BRASBRAS (Broadband Remote Access Server)宽带接入服务器（Broadband Remote Access Server,简称BRAS）是面向宽带网络应用的新型接入网关，它位于骨干网的边缘层，可以完成用户带宽的IP/ATM网的数据接入（目前接入手段主要基于xDSL/Cable Modem/高速以太网技术（LAN）/无线宽带数据接入(WLAN)等），实现商业楼宇及小区住户的宽带上网、基于IPSec（IP Security Protocol）的IP VPN 服务、构建企业内部Intranet、支持ISP向用户批发业务等应用。
