五年级英语作文介绍一位名人简单版
五年级英语作文介绍一位名人简单版全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Favorite Famous Person: Neil ArmstrongWho is your favorite famous person? For me, it's definitely Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon! He was an American astronaut who made history with the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. Let me tell you all about why I admire him so much.To start, Neil Armstrong had an amazing career as an astronaut and aeronautical engineer. He was born in 1930 in Wapakoneta, Ohio. From a young age, he loved studying airplanes and flight. He got his student pilot's license before he could even drive a car! After serving as a naval aviator in the Korean War, he joined the NASA astronaut program in 1962. He was the backup pilot for the historic Gemini 5 mission, where astronauts spent nearly 8 days in space, which was a huge deal back then. But of course, Armstrong is most famous for being the Mission Commander of Apollo 11, which landed on the moon onJuly 20, 1969. As the Lunar Module descended, there were a few tense moments when the computer was overwhelmed and kept giving alarms. Armstrong had to take over some of the landing manually to find a safe spot. Finally, the module touched down, and Armstrong reported the famous words: "The Eagle has landed."A few hours later, it was time for one of the biggest moments in human history. Armstrong opened the hatch and climbed down the ladder of the Lunar Module. As he took his first steps on the moon's surface, he said, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Those words gave me chills the first time I saw the footage! For the next two and a half hours, Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin explored the lunar surface, taking photos, collecting samples, and conducting experiments. To me, Neil Armstrong showed true courage, skill, and grace under immense pressure. Imagine how scary it must have been to be the first person ever to set foot somewhere other than Earth! But he did it calmly and professionally. And when they made it back safely, instead of celebrating himself, Armstrong gave praise to the team back at NASA who made the mission possible. That's the kind of humble, team-first attitude I really admire.Neil Armstrong's footprints are still on the moon, preserved in the lunar soil. But his "one giant leap" was so much more than just a step. By daring to explore a new frontier and expand humanity's reach into space, he inspired countless people around the world, including future astronauts, scientists, and explorers. I've read that some of today's Mars rovers were even named after him!Whenever I look up at the night sky, I think about how Armstrong and the other Apollo astronauts transformed the moon from just a bright light into a place that human beings could actually travel to and walk upon. It makes me feel like anything is possible if you work hard, are brave, and never give up on your dreams—just like Neil Armstrong did.In the years after his moon landing, Armstrong continued to work for NASA and promoted space exploration. He acted as a spokesperson, educating people about space travel, and served on advisory boards. However, he was a very private person who avoided too much public attention. To him, the moon missions were team efforts by tens of thousands of people, so he deflected praise onto them instead of taking full credit himself. That humility and sense of it being about something bigger than one person is part of why I respect him tremendously.Neil Armstrong passed away in 2012 at the age of 82, but he left behind an incredible legacy as a pioneering explorer who took human achievement to literally new heights (or should I say new planets!). His courage and skill allowed humanity to take our first small steps into the vastness of space. I have so much admiration for this humble hero who accomplished something that seemed impossible. Whenever I gaze up at the moon, I'll picture his bootprints there and feel inspired to pursue my own dreams and reach for the stars, just like Neil Armstrong did.For me, he'll always be one of the most impressive and influential people who ever lived. He showed that with vision, hard work, and perseverance, you really can do the incredible. That's why Neil Armstrong will forever be my favorite famous person.篇2My Favorite Famous Person: Neil ArmstrongHave you ever wondered what it would be like to walk on the moon? I think about that a lot because my favorite famous person is Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon!Neil Armstrong was born in 1930 in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Even as a little kid, he was fascinated by airplanes and flying. When hewas 6 years old, he went to the Cleveland Air Races and got to ride in the front seat of a plane! From that moment on, he knew he wanted to be a pilot. As a young man, Armstrong studied aeronautical engineering at Purdue University. After graduating, he became a test pilot for airplanes and rockets. In 1962, he was selected by NASA to be an astronaut in their space program.Armstrong's big moment came on July 16, 1969 when the massive Saturn V rocket blasted off from Cape Canaveral in Florida. Armstrong was the commander of the Apollo 11 mission to land on the moon. After traveling over 200,000 miles for four days, the lunar module named "Eagle" separated from the command module and began its descent to the lunar surface. As the Eagle got closer to the moon, Armstrong had to take over manual control because the computer was guiding them toward a very rocky area. With only about 20 seconds of fuel left, Armstrong steered the little spacecraft to a smoother landing area. Finally, at 4:18 pm Eastern Time on July 20, 1969, the Eagle landed safely on the surface of the moon in an area called the Sea of Tranquility.A few hours later, Armstrong opened the hatch and became the first human to step onto the moon. As he stepped onto thepowdery lunar soil, he said the famous words: "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Along with his crewmate Buzz Aldrin, Armstrong walked around on the moon for nearly three hours. They collected rock samples, planted the American flag, conducted experiments, and took amazing photographs and videos. After their moonwalk, Armstrong and Aldrin rejoined the command module piloted by Michael Collins. The three astronauts blasted off from the moon's surface and began their journey back home. When their spacecraft safely landed in the Pacific Ocean on July 24th, they were true American heroes!I'm amazed by Neil Armstrong's bravery, skill as a pilot, and dedication to exploration. I love learning about the Apollo missions and seeing all the photographs and videos from the moon. Armstrong went where no human had gone before. He showed us that with hard work, perseverance and courage, we can achieve remarkable things that once seemed impossible.I hope that one day, I can be an astronaut like Neil Armstrong and walk on the moon or even travel to Mars! For now, I'll keep studying science and math so I'll be ready if I get that chance. Neil Armstrong inspired an entire generation to pursue careers in aviation, engineering and space exploration. His historic moonwalk was an epic achievement that still fills me with wonder and excitement over 50 years later!篇3My Hero: Neil ArmstrongI want to tell you about my biggest hero, Neil Armstrong. He was an American astronaut who was the first person to ever walk on the moon! I think that's the coolest thing anyone has ever done.Neil was born in 1930 in a small town in Ohio. As a kid, he loved studying airplanes and flying. He got his student pilot's license when he was just 16 years old. That's only a couple years older than me! He went to college and became a test pilot for airplanes and missiles. He flew over 200 different kinds of aircraft. In 1962, Neil was selected to be an astronaut for NASA, which is the American space agency. His first space mission was the Gemini 8 in 1966. During that mission, his spacecraft got stuck spin around and around in space. Luckily, Neil stayed calm and figured out how to get the spinning under control so they could land safely back on Earth. Then in 1968, Neil was chosen to be the commander for the historic Apollo 11 moon mission. On July 16th, 1969, a massive Saturn V rocket blasted off carrying Neil, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. Their destination? The moon! After traveling over 200,000 miles for 4 days, they entered into orbit around the moon. Neil and Buzz got into a tiny lunar module spacecraft the size of a small bedroom. It detached from the main ship and they started descending to the lunar surface. As they got closer, computer alarms kept going off and fuel was running dangerously low. But Neil stayed focused and landed with only seconds of fuel remaining. At 10:56pm on July 20th, 1969, Neil opened the latch and became the first human to ever step foot on the moon. He famously said, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." He walked around for 3 hours, collecting samples, taking pictures, and performing experiments. The whole world was watching this historic event on TV.After their moon walk, Neil and Buzz blasted back off the moon to reunite with Michael and head home. When their spacecraft safely splashed down in the ocean on July 24th, over half a billion people around the world cheered and celebrated.Neil Armstrong had achieved the impossible dream of landing on the moon!In the years since, Neil always remained humble about his incredible accomplishment. He went on tours speaking to audiences. He worked for NASA for several more years before retiring in 1971. Neil kept a very low profile in his later life. He passed away in 2012 at age 82. But he will forever be a legend and inspiration for being the brave pioneer who took those first steps on another world.I can't even imagine how scary and difficult it must have been for Neil to fly all the way to the moon and step out onto its surface. I get nervous just thinking about it! But Neil showed amazing courage, skill, and mental toughness. His coolness under pressure and determination to achieve his goal is why he will always be my #1 hero. Neil Armstrong proved that anything is possible with hard work and perseverance. I want to have that same spirit of adventure and be willing to take on huge challenges in my life too. Neil showed all of humanity that we shouldn't limit our dreams. If we can land on the moon, then just imagine what else we can accomplish!篇4My Favorite Famous Person: Marie CurieHave you ever heard of Marie Curie? She was a really amazing scientist who made some incredible discoveries. I'm going to tell you all about her life and why I think she's so cool.Marie was born in 1867 in Warsaw, which is now part of Poland, but back then it was controlled by Russia. Her full name at birth was actually Maria Salomea Skłodowska. Her family didn't have a lot of money, but they really valued education. Marie's parents were both teachers and made sure all their children learned as much as they could.Even as a little girl, Marie loved learning about science and nature. She was always curious about how things worked and asking questions. School was really important to her. In those days in Poland, universities didn't accept many women as students. So when Marie finished school, she had to take illegal secret classes to keep learning science and math. When she was 24 years old, Marie went to study at the University of Paris in France. That's where she met a scientist named Pierre Curie. They fell in love and got married in 1895. Pierre was impressed by how smart and dedicated Marie was. They made a great team of scientists working together. At that time, not much was known about this mysterious new kind of energy called "radiation." Marie decided to study it for her science project. She spent years experimenting in her lab with different radioactive elements like uranium and thorium. It was slow, hard work. She had to design her own special equipment and measurement tools. Finally in 1898, Marie made an incredible breakthrough discovery! She realized that the intense radioactivity she was measuring must be coming from a totally new chemical element that nobody had ever seen before. After a ton more experiments, she managed to isolate this new glowing element from the mineral pitchblende. Marie named her discovery "radium."This was one of the most important scientific discoveries ever! For being the first to isolate radium, Marie Curie won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903. She was the first woman ever to win a Nobel Prize. But she didn't stop there with her research.A few years later, Marie did more experiments and discovered another new radioactive element, which she named "polonium" after her homeland of Poland. In 1911, she won an incredible second Nobel Prize, this time in Chemistry, for discovering polonium and radium and studying their radioactiveproperties. Marie Curie is the only person in history to win Nobel Prizes in both physics and chemistry!Marie and her husband Pierre worked closely together for years, but sadly in 1906 Pierre was killed after being struck by a horse-drawn wagon. Even after his tragic death, Marie kept working and teaching at universities in France. She was a pioneer for women in science and broke down many barriers with her brilliance.Marie Curie's discoveries didn't just advance science - they also led to very important real-world uses. The radioactive elements she discovered are now used to treat cancer and for many other medical purposes. X-ray machines used in hospitals work because of her research on radiation too. Radioactive materials are also used for things like nuclear power today.Tragically, Marie's life was cut short because of all her work exposing herself to high levels of radiation in her lab experiments. She died in 1934 at age 66 from radiation sickness. But her work and discoveries changed the world forever! To me, Marie Curie is an inspirational person for many reasons. First of all, she never gave up and worked incredibly hard, spending years on careful lab research to unlock the mysteries of radiation. She was endlessly curious and perseveredeven when the experiments were difficult. I really admire her drive and diligence as a scientist.Second, Marie was a trailblazer for women at a time when most careers in science were closed off to them. She proved that women could make tremendous contributions and win major honors like the Nobel Prize. Her example opened doors for future generations of women in STEM fields.Lastly, Marie Curie made the world better through her revolutionary discoveries. All the applications of radiation she uncovered, from x-rays to cancer treatments to nuclear power, transformed modern life. What an incredible impact from one person's scientific mind!I find Marie endlessly fascinating and hope that someday I can channel her curiosity, hard work ethic and groundbreaking spirit in whatever field I pursue. With heroes like Marie Curie, the possibilities for progress and innovation seem limitless. She was truly a genius who changed the world.篇5My Favorite Famous Person: Neil ArmstrongHave you ever looked up at the night sky and wondered what it would be like to walk on the moon? Well, my favorite famous person, Neil Armstrong, was the first human ever to do that! He was an American astronaut who took those first historic steps on the lunar surface during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969.Neil Armstrong was born on August 5, 1930, in Wapakoneta, Ohio. As a young boy, he was always interested in flying and science. He loved studying about airplanes and would often go to the local airport to watch the planes take off and land. When he was just 15 years old, he began taking flying lessons and got his student pilot's license before he even had a driver's license! After finishing high school, Armstrong studied aeronautical engineering at Purdue University. He was an excellent student and was even a part of the Purdue Aero Flying Club. After graduating in 1955, he joined the United States Navy and became a test pilot. This job was very dangerous, but Armstrong was brave and skilled. He flew over 200 different types of aircraft, including rockets and jets.In 1962, Armstrong was selected by NASA to be an astronaut. He went through intense training to prepare for space missions. His first trip to space was in 1966, when he piloted the Gemini 8 spacecraft and performed the first-ever docking of two vehiclesin space. This was just a warm-up for his greatest achievement –becoming the first human to walk on the moon.On July 16, 1969, Armstrong, along with Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, launched into space aboard the Apollo 11 rocket. After traveling for four days, the spacecraft reached the moon's orbit. Armstrong and Aldrin then boarded the lunar module nicknamed "Eagle" and began their descent to the moon's surface. As they approached, Armstrong had to take over manual control and navigate the module past a field of boulders to find a safe landing spot. With only seconds of fuel remaining, he finally touched down and uttered his famous words: "The Eagle has landed."A few hours later, Armstrong opened the hatch and climbed down the ladder to become the first person to set foot on the moon. He famously said, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Armstrong and Aldrin spent a total of 21 hours on the lunar surface, conducting experiments and collecting rock samples. They also planted the American flag and left behind scientific instruments and other items, including a plaque that read, "Here men from the planet Earth first set foot upon the Moon. We came in peace for all mankind."After their historic mission, Armstrong and his crew safely returned to Earth and were celebrated as heroes. Armstrong received numerous honors, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal. He also had several schools, buildings, and even an airport named after him.Even though Armstrong achieved something incredible by walking on the moon, he remained humble and down-to-earth (no pun intended!). He once said, "I was certainly aware that this was a culmination of the work of 300,000 to 400,000 people over a decade." Armstrong understood that his accomplishment was not just his own, but the result of the hard work and dedication of many people. After retiring from NASA in 1971, Armstrong taught at the University of Cincinnati for several years. He also served on various boards and committees, promoting space exploration and education. Armstrong passed away in 2012 at the age of 82, but his legacy as one of the greatest explorers in human history will live on forever.Neil Armstrong's journey to the moon inspires me because it shows that with hard work, courage, and determination, anything is possible – even achieving what seems like an impossible dream. His accomplishment reminds us to alwayskeep exploring, learning, and pushing the boundaries of what we think is possible. Armstrong once said, "Mystery creates wonder, and wonder is the basis of man's desire to understand." I hope that like Armstrong, I can approach life with a sense of wonder and curiosity, and never stop reaching for the stars.篇6My Favorite Famous Person: Neil ArmstrongHi, my name is Jamie and I'm in 5th grade. For my essay, I'm going to tell you about one of the most famous people in history - Neil Armstrong. He was the first person to ever walk on the moon! I think his life story is really cool and inspiring.Neil Armstrong was born in 1930 in a small town in Ohio. From a very young age, he loved studying airplanes and spacecraft. When he was a teenager, he got his student pilot's license before he even got his driver's license! He loved flying so much. After high school, Neil went to college and studied aeronautical engineering. This means he learned all about designing aircraft and spacecraft. But then something amazing happened - he became a test pilot for the U.S. Air Force! As a test pilot, his job was to fly brand new, experimental airplanes to testthem out and make sure they worked properly before anyone else flew them. It was a pretty dangerous job.In 1962, Neil applied to be an astronaut for the famous NASA space program. At that time, NASA was working hard to send people into space as part of the "space race" against Russia. Neil was one of the best test pilots around, so NASA accepted him into their astronaut program.Neil's first trip to space was in 1966 as the command pilot for the Gemini 8 mission. During this mission, he became the first civilian to dock two spacecraft together while in orbit! However, things went wrong and the spacecraft started spinning rapidly. Neil stayed calm and brought the spacecraft back to Earth safely.A few years later in 1969, Neil was chosen to be the commander for the historic Apollo 11 mission - the first mission that would attempt to land astronauts on the surface of the moon! On July 16th, 1969, Neil and two other astronauts blasted off from Florida on a massive Saturn V rocket. After traveling over 200,000 miles for four days, they entered orbit around the moon. Then came the big moment - Neil and his colleague Buzz Aldrin climbed into the lunar lander spacecraft to make the descent down to the lunar surface. As they got closer, Neil tookover the controls to pilot and land the spacecraft manually. At one point, their computer was giving incorrect data and there were alarms going off. But Neil stayed focused, spotted a good landing area, and safely brought the lander down with just seconds of fuel left!At 10:56 PM on July 20th, 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first human being to set foot on the moon! He climbed down the ladder and famously said, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." He and Buzz spent over 21 hours walking, taking pictures, and collecting rock samples on the lunar surface before returning to the orbiting module. After the successful moon landing, Neil and his crew returned safely to Earth on July 24th, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean. When they got out of the spacecraft, Neil uttered one of the most humble statements ever: "The guys who deserve the real acclamation are the families, the wives, and all the guys at the Cape and Houston, and the contractors, and the people all over the country; I was certainly fortunate in just happening to be the first kid to get a chance to go outside."Neil Armstrong's famous words and historic achievement made him a true American hero and celebrity. But he actually didn't like being famous! After leaving NASA in 1971, he tried tolive a very normal, quiet life teaching aerospace engineering at a university.Neil was humble, brave, smart, and dedicated his life to pushing the boundaries of aviation and space exploration. Through his calm professionalism and amazing flying skills, he achieved something that people had dreamed about for centuries - walking on the moon! No matter how much technology advances, Neil Armstrong's "one giant leap for mankind" will always be remembered as one of the greatest accomplishments in human history.。

His product launches, at which he would stand alone on a black stage and conjure up a “magical” or “incredible” new electronic gadget in front of an awed crowd, were the performances of a master showman. All computers do is fetch and shuffle numbers, he once explained, but do it fast enough and “the results appear to be magic”. He spent his life packaging that magic into elegantly designed, easy to use products.

1My Favorite Famous Person: Albert EinsteinHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my favorite famous person ever - the super smart scientist Albert Einstein! I think he's just about the coolest guy in history.First off, can we just talk about that hair? Einstein had the wildest, puffiest hair you've ever seen! It stuck out in every direction like he just rolled out of bed. I love how he didn't care what people thought and just rocked his crazy hair style. My mom is always nagging me to comb my hair but Einstein proved you can be a genius without perfect hair. But as awesome as his hair was, that's not the main reason I admire Einstein so much. The guy was just off-the-charts intelligent! He came up with some of the most mind-bending ideas in all of science. Like his theory of relativity - I don't totally understand it yet, but from what I know it means that space and time are all warped and bendy depending on how fast you'removing. Whoa, right?? Imagine if we could travel close to the speed of light - time would literally slow down for us compared to someone moving slower! That's some real-life science fiction stuff.Einstein also discovered this famous equation that everyone's heard of: E=mc2. It doesn't look too complicated written out, but it basically shows that energy and mass are two sides of the same coin. Mass can be converted into pure energy, and vice versa! That blew my mind when I first learned about it. That little formula unlocked the secret to nuclear power and helped kickstart the atomic age, for better or worse. But it wasn't all just numbers and equations with Einstein. He had a great sense of humor and loved pulling pranks on his buddies and colleagues. One time he went to visit his friend and snuck a funny fake mustache into the visiting bathroom, just so he could crack up when his friend emerged wearing it! What a jokester. I would have loved to be in Einstein's circle of friends.Einstein was also a total rebel when it came to authority figures. He had a famous saying that went: "The important thing is to not stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing." How cool is that? Einstein believed in always asking questions, doubting what you're told, and never just blindlyfollowing rules without understanding why. As a kid who's always getting in trouble for asking too many questions, I really look up to that attitude!Despite being a genius, Einstein had a pretty tough childhood in some ways. He was really quiet and shy as a young kid and struggled a lot in the structured classroom. He once said "It's true that I was a slow learner, because I had to overcome more obstacles than the ones considered normally talented." How inspiring is that? Even the greatest mind of the 20th century had learning challenges he had to overcome through effort and perseverance. So in a nutshell, that's why Albert Einstein is my celebrity hero. He had wild hair but still became the most famous scientist since Newton. He unraveled mind-twisting mysteries of space and time through his theories of relativity. He proved that mass and energy are interlinked with his legendary E=mc2 equation. He always kept his curiosity, sense of humor, and spirit of rebellion. And he overcamestruggles as a student to achieve greatness through hard work. To me, the dude basically personifies what it means to be a bold, creative thinker who never stops questioning. I want to grow up to be just like him!Well, that's all for my essay on the one and only Albert Einstein. Looking back, I may have rambled on a bit...but what can I say, the guy just fascinates me! I hope you enjoyed learning about my favorite genius as much as I enjoyed writing about him. Until next time, keep asking "why?" just like Einstein did. Laters!篇2My Favorite Famous PersonHave you ever heard of Albert Einstein? He was a really smart scientist who lived a long time ago. Einstein is my favorite famous person ever! Let me tell you all about him.Albert Einstein was born in Germany in 1879. Even when he was just a little kid, his parents could tell he was super clever. His dad gave him a compass when he was 5 years old, and little Albert was amazed to learn about magnetic fields. From that day on, he never stopped asking questions about how the world works. In school, Einstein was a good student but he sometimes got in trouble for not paying attention or daydreaming too much. His teachers thought he asked too many questions! Can you believe that? I think asking lots of questions is a great way tolearn. Einstein agreed - he once said, "The important thing is not to stop questioning."When he grew up, Einstein worked hard to become a scientist. He especially loved studying physics, which is all about understanding matter, energy, space and time. Einstein came up with some amazing theories that changed how we think about the universe. His most famous ideas are the Theory of Relativity and the equation E=mc2.The Theory of Relativity says that the laws of physics are the same for everything, no matter how you view them from different perspectives. It helps explain mind-bending things like how gravity works, or what happens when things move close to the speed of light. The equation E=mc2 shows that energy and matter are really two sides of the same thing. Isn't that wild? Not everyone understood Einstein's theories at first. He spent many years trying to convince other scientists that he was right. Some people even made fun of his crazy hair and absent-minded personality. But Einstein didn't care - he just loved uncovering the mysteries of the cosmos. In 1921, Einstein's amazing work finally earned him the Nobel Prize, which is one of the highest honors a scientist can get. By that time, the whole world knew his name. Presidents andkings invited him over for fancy dinners. Kids wrote him letters asking for help with their science homework. I bet those kids were excited when the smartest person in the world answered their questions!Even though he was world-famous, Einstein tried to live a modest life focused on science, playing his beloved violin, and hanging out with friends and family. He worked hard but also made time for fun. Like any other kid, he loved magic tricks, puns and brain teasers. I think that's why so many young people look up to Einstein - his childlike curiosity and playful spirit never went away, even as a grown-up genius.Einstein kept studying the universe until the very end of his long life. He died in 1955 at age 76, but his brilliant theories live on forever. Thanks to him, we understand so much more about how our amazing universe works. Einstein once said, "The most incomprehensible thing about the world is that it is comprehensible." I'll never get tired of learning about his fascinating ideas!I hope you can see why Albert Einstein is my favorite famous person. He was a regular kid who never stopped asking questions and chasing his curiosity about the world. Even though he grew up to become one of the smartest people ever, he neverlost his sense of wonder and fun. If there's one thing I've learned from Einstein, it's to never be afraid of working hard to understand something you're really interested in. Who knows, you might just change the world!篇3My Favorite Scientist: Jane GoodallHave you ever wondered what it would be like to live with chimpanzees in the wild? Well, that's exactly what Dr. Jane Goodall did! She is one of the most famous scientists in the world, and she taught us so much about our closest relatives in the animal kingdom.Jane was born in London, England, on April 3rd, 1934. Even as a young girl, she was always curious about animals and nature. When she was just a toddler, her father gave her a stuffed chimpanzee toy, which sparked her lifelong love for these amazing creatures. After finishing school, Jane worked as a secretary and waitress to save up money for her dream – to travel to Africa and observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat. In 1960, at the age of 26, she finally got her chance when she was hired by famousanthropologist Louis Leakey to study chimpanzees in what is now Tanzania.Living in the Gombe Stream National Park, Jane spent hours and hours patiently watching the chimpanzees. At first, they were afraid of her, but slowly she gained their trust. Jane gave the chimpanzees names instead of numbers, because she saw that each one had its own unique personality, just like humans!Jane made many groundbreaking discoveries about chimpanzee behavior. She saw them using tools, like stripping leaves off twigs to "fish" for termites. This was the first time tool use had been observed in animals other than humans. Jane also saw chimpanzees hunting and eating other animals, like monkeys and pigs. Until then, scientists thought only humans were capable of hunting. But Jane's most famous discovery was about the dark side of chimpanzee behavior. She witnessed chimpanzees from one group brutally attacking chimpanzees from another group, in what she called a "war." This showed that chimpanzees, like humans, can be violent and aggressive.Jane's work revolutionized how we think about chimpanzees and our relationship to them. We now know that chimpanzees are highly intelligent, live in complex social groups, and use tools– just like early humans. In fact, chimpanzees are so similar to us that Jane believes we shouldn't even be calling them "animals"!For over 60 years, Jane has dedicated her life to protecting chimpanzees and their habitats. She started the Jane Goodall Institute to support chimpanzee research and conservation efforts. Jane also travels the world, sharing her message about respecting animals and the environment. At 89 years old, Jane is still going strong! She continues to be a pioneer in primatology and an inspiration to scientists and animal lovers everywhere. If you love animals and want to make the world a better place, Jane Goodall is an amazing role model to look up to.So the next time you see a chimpanzee at the zoo or in a nature documentary, remember the incredible woman who helped us understand these remarkable creatures. Thanks to Jane Goodall's courage, curiosity and compassion, we can appreciate how closely related chimpanzees are to humans.篇4My Favorite Historical Figure: Marie CurieHave you ever heard of Marie Curie? She's one of the most amazing scientists who ever lived! Let me tell you all about her.Marie was born in Poland in 1867. Her parents were both teachers, and they really valued education. Even though Marie was a girl, her parents treated her the same as her brothers and encouraged her to study hard. From a young age, Marie was really smart and loved learning. She was especially good at math and science. But in those days, universities in Poland didn't allow women to attend. Can you imagine? Marie had to go to an underground, secret university just to get an education! After finishing school, Marie moved to France to attend the University of Paris. There, she met a scientist named Pierre Curie. They fell in love and got married in 1895. Pierre supported Marie's scientific interests, which was rare for husbands back then.Marie and Pierre started researching a new kind of energy called "radioactivity." They worked together for years, studying radioactive materials like uranium. Their big breakthrough came when they discovered two new radioactive elements - radium and polonium! This was huge news in the science world. Marie and Pierre's discovery of radioactivity completely changed physics and chemistry forever. They were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903, and Marie became the first woman in history to win a Nobel Prize!Sadly, Pierre was killed in an accident in 1906, leaving Marie a widow with two young daughters. But she didn't give up on her scientific work. Marie took over Pierre's teaching job at the University of Paris and became the first female professor there. She continued researching radioactivity despite the dangers - radiation exposure caused her many health issues over the years. In 1911, Marie won a second Nobel Prize, this time in Chemistry, for her discovery of radium and polonium. No one else has ever won the Nobel Prize twice!Marie dedicated her life to science. She started the first radioactivity laboratories and trained many future scientists. Her work led to major advances in medicine, including the x-ray and radiation therapy for cancer treatment.Even though Marie faced lots of obstacles as a woman in a male-dominated field, she never gave up. Her courage, brilliance, and passion for learning inspired people all over the world. MarieCurie proved that girls and women are just as capable as men when it comes to science. To this day, Marie remains an icon and role model, especially for young girls interested in STEM subjects like me! Her amazing achievements make me dream of one day becoming a groundbreaking scientist too. If Marie could overcome so many challenges and change the world, who knows what's possible?篇5My Favorite Famous Person: Albert EinsteinHave you ever heard of Albert Einstein? He was a really smart scientist who lived a long time ago. Albert Einstein is my favorite famous person ever! Let me tell you all about him.Albert Einstein was born in Germany in 1879. Even as a little kid, he was always curious about how things worked. His parents said he asked a million questions every day! He loved math and science from a very young age. When Einstein was a boy, he went to a regular school just like you and me. But he didn't really like it very much. The teachers thought he asked too many questions and his head was always up in the clouds daydreaming instead of paying attention.Einstein's parents realized he was a very special kid who learned differently than the other kids.As Einstein got older, he became more and more interested in physics. Physics is the study of how things move and the forces that make them move. Einstein was obsessed with learning everything he could about physics. He read every book he could find and did lots of experiments on his own.One of the incredible things Einstein figured out was his famous equation: E=mc2. It's a tiny equation, but it means so much! It explains that energy and mass (which is how much stuff something is made of) are actually connected. Mind-blowing, right?Another amazing thing Einstein realized is that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. The speed of light is really, really fast - over 670 million miles per hour! He also discovered that gravity isn't just a pulling force, but actually bends space and time itself. Whoa! With all of his brilliant ideas and discoveries, Einstein completely changed how we understand the universe. He overturned centuries-old beliefs and launched brand new fields of physics. Imagine being smart enough to do that!Einstein didn't just make important discoveries though, he lived an interesting life too. In 1933, he had to flee Germany because the leaders didn't like his ideas and wanted to arrest him for being Jewish. He moved to the United States and became an American citizen.Even after achieving global fame, Einstein stayed humble and continued being curious about the world like a little kid. He had crazy hair that stuck out in every direction because he was always deep in thought. Einstein played the violin to relax and rode his bicycle around Princeton University, where he worked.Sadly, Einstein died in 1955 at the age of 76 without ever finishing his life's work – trying to discover a way to unite all the laws of physics into one complete theory. But his legacy and influence live on to this day.I think Einstein is so fascinating because of his brilliant mind, world-changing ideas, quirky personality, and endless curiosity. He revolutionized humanity's understanding of the universe and proved that asking "why?" and never giving up can lead to incredible discoveries.Einstein once said, "The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing." Thatquote inspires me to always stay curious and keep learning, no matter how smart or successful I become.Even though Einstein lived such a long time ago, I wish I could have met him. I would ask him a million questions, just like he did as a little kid! Maybe he could explain some of hismind-bending physics discoveries to me in a way that my elementary school brain could understand.Who knows, maybe if I keep studying and stay curious like Einstein, I can grow up to make amazing discoveries and change the world too! For now, I'll just keep learning everything I can about my favorite famous physicist. I hope you feel inspired by the life of Albert Einstein after reading about him too!篇6My Favorite Person: Walt DisneyWalt Disney is the most amazing person who ever lived! He was an artist, a moviemaker, a businessman, and most importantly - a dreamer. Walt had big, big dreams and he made so many of them come true.Walt was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago. When he was little, he loved to draw pictures of animals and tell stories. His family moved to a farm in Missouri and Walt had to work hard doing chores, but he never stopped drawing. After high school, Walt tried to join the army but they wouldn't let him because he was too young. So he joined the Red Cross and drove an ambulance instead. That's when he started doodling little cartoons and stories about a humorous character he called "The Little Fella."When Walt came back home from the war, he moved to Kansas City to become a artist. He got a job making commercials for a company called Laugh-O-Gram Films. He worked really hard but the company went bankrupt. Walt was so sad, but he didn't give up on his dream of making cartoons.Walt decided to head west to the place where movies were made - Hollywood! He convinced his brother Roy to move there too and help him start his own little cartoon studio. They made a series about a funny little girl named Alice who interacted with an animated world. But it was hard to make any money. Then one day in 1928, Walt had a genius idea - a cartoon about a funny little mouse! He made some silly drawings of the mouse and showed them to his staff. Everyone thought the mouse looked ridiculous with those big round ears. But Walt loved him and named him Mortimer Mouse. Walt's wife Lillianthought the name was too pompous, so she suggested they call him Mickey instead. And that's how Mickey Mouse was born!Walt's first Mickey Mouse cartoon was called "Steamboat Willie" and it was amazing because it had synchronized sound! No cartoon had ever had sound before. When "Steamboat Willie" came out in 1928, it was an instant smash hit and made Walt Disney famous overnight.Over the next few years, Walt made over 100 more Mickey cartoons that everyone loved. Then in 1937, he took a huge risk and made the very first full-length animated movie, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." Everyone thought Walt was crazy to make a movie over an hour long by animating it one frame at a time. But Walt had faith in his dream and worked for 3 non-stop years with over 500 animators to make "Snow White." And it paid off - the film was a massive success!Walt just kept on dreaming and making more amazing movies like "Pinocchio," "Fantasia," "Bambi" and many more. He won a ridiculous amount of Academy Awards and developed new movie technologies like the multi-plane camera which made his animations look incredibly realistic. But Walt's biggest, most magical dream was to create his own family entertainment park filled with shows, rides, andexhibits. In 1955, Disneyland opened in California and it was the "Happiest Place on Earth!" Children and grownups felt like they had entered into a real-life storybook world. Everything was clean, shiny, cheerful, and staffed by smiling cast members dressed like Disney characters.Sadly, Walt Disney died in 1966 before fulfilling all of his dreams. But his creative spirit and legacy lived on. His company continued making classic movies and opened more theme parks around the world, including Walt Disney World in Florida which has the castles, Space Mountains, and incredible firework shows that Walt envisioned. To me, Walt Disney was the most amazing person ever because he never stopped dreaming. No matter how many times his ideas were rejected or his businesses failed, Walt never lost hope. He just kept dreaming bigger and working harder to entertain the world through his animations, movies, and theme parks. Walt Disney's life is a true inspiration that if you can dream it, you can do it with perseverance and unwavering faith in your visions.。
