One fine day up went the signal, and here come Flint byhimself in a little boat, and his head doneup in a blue scarf. The sun was gettingup, and mortal white he looked about thecutwater. But, there he was, you mind, and the six all dead—dead and buried. How he done it, not a man aboard uscould make out. It was battle, murder, and sudden death, leastways—himagainst six. 金银岛1至3章概括英文Treasure Island is an adventure novel by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson, narrating a tale of "buccaneersand buried gold". Its influence is enormous on popular perceptions of pirates, including such elements as treasure maps marked with an "X", schooners, the Black Spot, tropical islands, and one-legged seamen bearing parrots on their shoulders.Treasure Island is traditionally considered a coming-of-age story and is noted for its atmosphere, characters, and action. It is one of the most frequently dramatized of all novels. It was originally serialized in the children's magazine Young Folks between 1881 through 1882 under the title Treasure Island, or the mutiny of the Hispaniola, credited to the pseudonym "Captain George North". It was first published as a book on 14 November 1883, by Cassell & Co.Plot summary[edit]Stevenson's map of Treasure IslandJim Hawkins hiding in the apple-barrel, listening to the piratesPART I—"THE OLD BUCCANEER"An old sailor, calling himself "the captain"—real name "Billy" Bones —comes to lodge at the Admiral Benbow Inn on the west English coast during the mid-1700s, paying the innkeeper's son, Jim Hawkins, a few pennies to keep a lookout for a one-legged "seafaring man". A seamanwith intact legs shows up, frightening Billy—who drinks far too much rum—into a stroke, and Billy tells Jim that his former shipmates covet the contents of his sea chest. After a visit from yet another man, Billy has another stroke and dies; Jim and his mother (his father has also died just a few days before) unlock the sea chest, finding some money, a journal, and a map. The local physician, Dr. Livesey, deduces that the map is of an island where a deceased pirate—Captain Flint—buried a vast treasure. The district squire, Trelawney, proposes buying a ship and going after the treasure, taking Livesey as ship's doctor and Jim as cabin boy.PART II—"THE SEA COOK"Several weeks later, Trelawney sends for Jim and Livesey and introduces them to "Long John" Silver, a one-leggedBristoltavern-keeper whom he has hired as ship's cook. (Silver enhances his outre attributes—crutch, pirate argot, etc.—with a talking parrot.) They also meet Captain Smollett, who tells them that he dislikes most of the crew on the voyage, which it seems everyone in Bristol knows is a search for treasure. After taking a few precautions, however, they set sail on Trelawny'sschooner, the Hispaniola, for the distant island. During the voyage, the first mate, a drunkard, disappears overboard. And just before the island is sighted, Jim—concealed in an apple barrel—overhears Silver talking with two other crewmen. They are all former "gentlemeno'fortune" (pirates) in Flint's crew and have planned a mutiny. Jim alertsthe captain, doctor, and squire, and they calculate that they will be seven to 19 against the mutineers and must pretend not to suspect anything until the treasure is found when they can surprise their adversaries.PART III—"MY SHORE ADVENTURE"But after the ship is anchored, Silver and some of the others go ashore, and two men who refuse to join the mutiny are killed—one with so loud a scream that everyone realizes there can be no more pretense. Jim has impulsively joined the shore party and covertly witnessed Silver committing one of the murders; now, in fleeing, he encounters ahalf-crazed Englishman, Ben Gunn, who tells him he was marooned here and can help against the mutineers in return for passage home and part of the treasure.PART IV—"THE STOCKADE"Meanwhile, Smollett, Trelawney, and Livesey, along with Trelawney's three servants and one of the other hands, Abraham Gray, abandon the ship and come ashore to occupy an old abandoned stockade. The men still on the ship, led by the coxswain Israel Hands, run up the pirate flag. One of Trelawney's servants and one of the pirates are killed in the fight to reach the stockade, and the ship's gun keeps up a barrage upon them, to no effect, until dark when Jim finds the stockade and joins them. The next morning, Silver appears under a flag of truce, offering terms that the captain refuses, and revealing that another pirate has been killed in thenight (by Gunn, Jim realizes, although Silver does not). At Smollett's refusal to surrender the map, Silver threatens an attack, and, within a short while, the attack on the stockade is launched.PART V—"MY SEA ADVENTURE"After a battle, the surviving mutineers retreat, having lost six men, but two more of the captain's group have been killed and Smollett himself is badly wounded. When Livesey leaves in search of Gunn, Jim runs away without permission and finds Gunn's homemade coracle. After dark, he goes out and cuts the ship adrift. The two pirates on board, Hands and O'Brien, interrupt their drunken quarrel to run on deck, but the ship—with Jim's boat in her wake—is swept out to sea on the ebb tide. Exhausted, Jim falls asleep in the boat and wakens the next morning, bobbing along on the west coast of the island, carried by a northerly current. Eventually, he encounters the ship, which seems deserted, but getting on board, he finds O'Brien dead and Hands badly wounded. He and Hands agree that they will beach the ship at an inlet on the northern coast of the island. As the ship is finally beached, Hands attempts to kill Jim but is himself killed in the attempt. Then, after securing the ship as well as he can, Jim goes back ashore and heads for the stockade. Once there, in utter darkness, he enters the blockhouse—to be greeted by Silver and the remaining five mutineers, who have somehow taken over the stockade in his absence.PART VI—"CAPTAIN SILVER"Silver and the others argue about whether to kill Jim, and Silver talks them down. He tells Jim that, when everyone found the ship was gone, the captain's party agreed to a treaty whereby they gave up the stockade and the map. In the morning, the doctor arrives to treat the wounded and sick pirates and tells Silver to look out for trouble when they find the site of the treasure. After he leaves, Silver and the others set out with the map, taking Jim along as hostage. They encounter a skeleton, arms apparently oriented toward the treasure, which seriously unnerves the party. Eventually, they find the treasure cache—empty. Two of the pirates charge at Silver and Jim but are shot down by Livesey, Gray, and Gunn, from ambush. The other three run away, and Livesey explains that Gunn has long ago found the treasure and taken it to his cave.In the next few days, they load the treasure onto the ship, abandon the three remaining mutineers (with supplies and ammunition) and sail away. At their first port in Spanish America, where they will sign on more crew, Silver steals a bag of money and escapes. The rest sail back to Bristol and divide up the treasure. Jim says there is more left on the island, but he for one will not undertake another voyage to recover it.。

英语作文金银岛我喜欢的一本书80词全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Treasure Island is the best book ever! It's about a boy named Jim Hawkins who finds a treasure map. He goes on a ship with some pirates to find the buried treasure. But the pirates are mean and try to mutiny. There's sword fighting, a spooky island, and a one-legged pirate named Long John Silver. It's so exciting!I love the adventures Jim has. I wish I could sail on a pirate ship and find treasure too. If you like action and thrills, you'll love Treasure Island!Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson is hands down the coolest book I've ever read! It's an amazing adventure story that I couldn't put down.It starts when Jim Hawkins and his mom run an inn called the Admiral Benbow. One day, an old sailor named Billy Bones comes to stay. He has a huge seaman's chest that he guards closely. Turns out, he was once a pirate and the chest has a map showing where Captain Flint buried his huge treasure! But Billyhas a run-in with some other nasty pirates, and right before he dies, he has Jim take the map and run to find help.Jim and his mom go tell the squire and doctor all about the treasure map. The squire gets so excited that he decides they need to outfit a ship and crew right away to go after the treasure! They hire a one-legged man named Long John Silver to be the ship's cook, not knowing he's actually the pirate leader. When they reach the island on the map, some of Silver's men mutiny and take over the ship. Jim sneaks into the island, where he meets a crazy man named Ben Gunn who was marooned there years ago. Jim also finds Silver's camp and spies on their plans to mutiny and snatch the treasure. From there, it's just an epic battle between the squire's men and Silver's pirates over who gets the treasure. Jim is like a little spy, sneaking around and narrowly escaping from the pirates over and over. At one point, Silver captures Jim but doesn't let his men hurt him because Jim's a good lad. You can't help but like sly old John Silver, even though he's a greedy pirate. In the end, the squire's men defeat the mutineers in an epic battle. Jim finds the treasure buried in the ground, but chooses not to take it right away when the pirates attack. It turns out, Ben Gunn already dug up most of the treasure years ago andre-buried it all over the island! But Jim, the squire and the good men get most of the treasure in the end after fighting off the pirates.I loved this book because the story is just endlessly exciting. There's sword fights, sea battles, maps leading to treasure, pirates doing mutinies, an abandoned island with a crazy marooned man, and a young hero who has to be brave and smart to survive. Jim Hawkins is the best - just a regular kid who gets caught up in an incredible swashbuckling adventure and danger at every turn.My favorite character is definitely Long John Silver, the roguish, unpredictable pirate. At first you think he's bad, but then you see he has some good in him when he takes a liking to Jim. He has a quick wit and crafty ways that make him seem more like a mischievous trickster than an evil pirate. The way he sweet-talks Jim with sayings like "Ah, you may be sure you can trust old John there, matey" always makes me laugh. I also love that he only has one leg, so he has to hop around with a crutch, yet he's still one of the fiercest and cleverest pirates aboard! What I really admire about Jim is how smart and resourceful he is for a kid. When he first reaches the island and hides from the pirates, he doesn't just cower in fear - he figures out ways tosneak around and spy on their camp to get information. He's not afraid to take risks to help his friends, like when he allows himself to be captured by Silver's men so he can overhear their plans. And he doesn't just blindly trust Silver when the pirate tries to bargain for the treasure map. Jim plays his cards carefully, since he knows he can't fully trust a pirate's word. Yet Jim also shows he has loyalty and ethics, like when he won't just grab the treasure for himself while the battle is going on. For a young boy, Jim shows remarkable bravery, quick-thinking and maturity in handling the intense pirate situations he gets caught up in.Besides the awesome characters and action-packed plot, I also love the setting and descriptions in the book. The way Stevenson portrays the eerie island, with its abandoned boats, human skulls, and echoing cries from unseen birds gives me chills. Then there's the hot and sticky tropics where the pirates camp and the dense forest where Jim scouts ahead alone. I can perfectly picture the grand old sailing ships and calm blue seas suddenly being overrun by violent pirates waving swords and guns. And of course, who could forget the dark hole in the ground where Flint's treasure lies buried, down a deep shadowy pit waiting to be hauled up? Stevenson's ability to capture the sights, sounds and spirit of the pirate era is just brilliant.I really think Treasure Island has everything a kid could want in an adventure book - daring heroes, despicable villains, sword fights, exotic islands, perilous situations, ships at sea, and the ultimate prize of a huge pirate treasure just waiting to be found. It's an easy book to get totally absorbed in, with non-stop action and plot twists around every corner. Every time I read it, my heart races along with the characters as they face another cliffhanger or close-call with the mutinous pirates. And what kid hasn't dreamed of happening upon a old map that could lead to riches buried deep underground? This book is just the ultimate in swashbuckling thrills and excitement!I know I'll read Treasure Island over and over again. To me, it's a priceless gem of a book that every kid and adult should experience. The story of young Jim Hawkins matching wits with sly Long John Silver on a hunt for buried pirate treasure is a true classic that never gets old. It's the kind of book that sticks with you forever and sparks the wildest imaginings in your mind. I'm getting pretty hungry so I'm gonna go raid the kitchen for some snacks and sneak back up to my room to re-read my favorite book for like the thousandth time. Yo ho ho and a bottle of root beer! The End篇5My Favorite Book: Treasure Island by Robert Louis StevensonI love reading adventure books, and my absolute favorite is "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson. It's an amazing story about pirates, buried treasure, and a journey across the high seas! Let me tell you all about it.The main character is a boy named Jim Hawkins. He lives with his mother and works at their inn on the coast of England. One day, an old sea captain named Billy Bones comes to stay at the inn. He has a big old treasure chest that he guards very closely. After some strange men show up looking for Billy, Jim realizes that the chest must contain something incredibly valuable - a treasure map! When Billy suddenly dies, Jim and his mother find the treasure map in the chest. It shows the location of a huge pirate treasure buried on a remote island! Jim takes the map to some local businessmen, and they decide to go look for the treasure. They hire a ship called the Hispaniola and its crew, led by aone-legged man named Long John Silver. The journey to the island is really exciting. Long John Silver seems friendly at first, but Jim soon learns that he was actually the pirate captain who buried the treasure! He has assembled his old pirate crew as the ship's staff, planning to mutiny and keep the treasure for themselves once they find it. Jim overhears their evil plans and has to sneak around the ship, spying on the pirates. When they finally reach the island, a huge battle breaks out between the pirates and the businessmen's group. Jim meets anold pirate named Ben Gunn who has been marooned on the island for years. Ben helps Jim locate the buried treasure. There are swordfights, characters getting marooned, and a spooky abandoned pirate stockade on the island. It's all incredibly thrilling! In the end, Jim and his friends defeat Long John Silver's pirates and make it back to England with most of the treasure. Long John Silver escapes by the end but vows to go straight from then on. The ending is perfect - the heroes win and the treasure is found, but there's a hint that Silver could return for another adventure someday.I love "Treasure Island" for so many reasons. The characters like Jim, Long John Silver, and Ben Gunn are so memorable and fun. The pirate lingo and talk of the sea is exciting. And who doesn't dream of going on a quest for buried gold on a remote tropical island? The descriptions of the island itself - with its sweeping beaches, rocky inlets, and spooky forests - make you feel like you're really there on the adventure. The book has plenty of scary and suspenseful moments when the pirates are chasing Jim or battling the heroes. But it's not too terrifying, and Jim always manages to outsmart thepirates with his bravery and quick thinking. There's just the right balance of danger, excitement, and fun throughout the story.Overall, "Treasure Island" is the perfect adventure tale. It's filled with unforgettable characters, heart-pounding action, and a captivating search for pirate riches. It's an absolute must-read for anyone who loves a good swashbuckling journey on the high seas. I've read it over and over again, and I know I'll keep rereading it for many more years to come. Whenever I need an escape to an exciting world of danger and hidden treasures, this classic book always delivers!篇6Treasure Island: My Favorite BookAhoy, mates! Have you ever dreamed of setting sail on the high seas in search of buried treasure? Well, that's exactly what happens in my favorite book, Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. It's an incredible adventure story that takes you on a thrilling journey full of pirates, maps with "X" marks the spot, and one of the most unforgettable characters ever - Long John Silver! The story begins when young Jim Hawkins finds a secret map belonging to a fierce pirate captain. The map shows the location of a huge stash of gold and jewels hidden on a remoteisland. Wow, can you imagine how exciting that must have been? To hold the key to a pirate's legendary lost treasure in your very hands?Jim wastes no time gathering a brave crew and setting off on a ship called the Hispaniola. Little does he know that some of the men he hired are actually ruthless pirates who used to sail under that same wicked captain! Their leader is the cunning Long John Silver, who pretends to be the ship's humble cook but is really after the treasure for himself. As they near the island, the good guys and bad guys start turning on each other in an epic battle. There are sword fights, musket fire, betrayals, and so many close calls! My heart was racing during the intense scenes when Jim has to sneak past the pirates to race them to the treasure. I was on the edge of my seat!Even though it's a classic book that was written a long time ago, the story feels so alive and real. Stevenson's descriptions make you feel like you're really on that creaky ship or trekking through the jungle with Jim. You can practically taste the salty sea air and hear the eerie cries of seabirds. His pirate dialogue like "Shiver me timbers!" and "Arrrr, matey!" is so much fun too. What I love most though is the bravery and smarts of Jim Hawkins. Even though he's just a kid, he has to be courageous and quick-thinking to outsmart the greedy pirates. Despite all the dangers, he never loses hope of finding that legendary treasure. Jim is the kind of hero I want to be - loyal, resourceful, and not afraid of adventure! The pirate villains are awesome too, especially the complex character of Long John Silver. On one hand, he's a cold-blooded criminal who will do anything for riches. He lies, cheats, and puts the whole crew at risk to get his hands on the gold. But Silver also shows glimmers of kindness, especially toward Jim. Their relationship makes you wonder if even scoundrels like Long John have some good qualities buried deep inside.By the end, I was amazed at all the twists and surprises that unfolded on that island. (Don't worry, no spoilers here!) Let's just say that X definitely marks an epic spot filled with danger, betrayal, unlikely allies, and quite a few mind-blowing secrets about the origins of the treasure itself. I never wanted it to end!Treasure Island is one of those classic tales that has inspired so many other great pirate adventures in movies, books and games. But in my mind, none can top the original. It's an incomparable story that combines all the things I love - braveheroes, dastardly villains, close calls, buried riches and best of all, giving you that sensation that you're right there experiencing every thrilling scene yourself.Whenever I read it again, I'm immediately transported back to that rickety ship, hearing the flap of tattered sails and the cawing of seabirds overhead. I can smell the salty ocean spray and feel the warm sunshine on my face as our tiny boat bobs up and down, sailing steadily toward that mysterious island where incredible surprises and untold fortunes await. For a young daydreamer and book lover like me, there's no greater escape or adventure than cracking open Treasure Island once more. Yo ho ho and a bottle of root beer! Now who's ready to hunt for some pirate treasure?。

1.Why Choice to Read Treasure Island?Treasure Island is one of Robert Louis Stevenson’s best-selling novels. It has a very large impact on future generation. Though, Treasure Island has been made into films and TV several times in Hollywood, it is still very popular. So to say that, if Chinese kid is looking at Journey to the West grew up, and then American kid is looking at Treasure Island grew up.In a conclusion, Treasure Island can be regarded as the best ever to read pirate novel.2.About AuthorRobert Louis Stevenson was an English poet and writer who was born in Edinburgh Scotland in 1850. In 1878 and 1879, he published two works of the theme of travel, since then he continued to publish works. In 1883, he published Treasure Island. The story was praised as The Best Work of Children’s Adventure Story as soon as the work was published. Since then Stevenson had became a famous writer. His health condition was very bad and he died suddenly in 1894.Stevenson had a lot of works, such as Treasure Island, Kidnapped, A Child’s Garden of Verses and New Arabian Nights.3.SummaryIn the eighteenth century, British sailor boy Jim got the legendary map of Treasure Island from dying Bill. In support of the local squire, they organized a team of expedition went to Treasure Island. The pirate leader Silver boarded the ship acted as a cook and his a group of men also acted as sailors on board. On the Treasure Island, Silver and his men occupied the ship by launching rebellion. The sailor boy Jim saved the good men three times. Later Silver conflicted with the other pirates and decided to cooperate with doctor and Ben to deal with the other pirates. Finally, the good men gained the treasure.4. Treasure Island Impressions and CommentsAfter reading this story of adventure, I have mixed feelings. The main character Jim originally was a timid and shy boy, however, Jim has obviously become a little hero after going through this adventure. As a kid, he saved the good persons three times, which showing Jim’s amazing resourcefulness and courage.Though Jim is a kid, his courage and loyalty is admirable. Even though in face of the ferocious pirates, he can admit that what he had done, and he adhered to stand his ground that would rather die than cahoots with the pirates. In addition, it is also admirable that Jim kept his words. When Jim and the doctor had a conversation, Jim could run away. But Jim didn’t do it, because he had sworn to the pirate Silver. He gave up the chance to escape. I guess even the adult cannot do this in order to keep his words. It can be said that Jim is a real man.In addition to the surprising and exciting plot of the novel, its central idea is worth thinking. The real intention of the novel tells us the love of humanity and justice often over evil. The main character Jim is the representative of justice, and finally he won, while the pirate Silver who is the representative of evil finally was spurned by people. Besides, I can feel the money has a great temptation to human. In the novel money actually had changed the feelings between people, corroded the world and everything. Of course, money itself is innocent, but the material and greedy heart that drives people pursue the money by all bad means.Gentleman’s love of money in a proper way, we should hold a right attitude to money. We need to know that bland pursuit of money finally become vain and greed and the desire will never bring a better life.。

1 The old seaman SquireSquire Trelawney, Dr Livesey, and the others have asked me to write down all I know about Treasure Island .My name is Jim Hawkins, and I was in the story right from the start, back in 17-.I was only a boy then, and it all began at the time my father owned the Admiral Benbow inn, at Black Hill Cove .I remember so clearly the day when the old seaman came to stay-I can almost see him in front of me as I write. He arrived with his sea-chest, a tall, strong man with a cut across one cheek. He sang that old sea sang as he walked up to the inn door:Fifeen men on the dead man's chest-Yo-ho-ho,and a bottle of rum!The old seaman called for a glass of rum,and stood outside, drinking and looking around. Our inn was on me cliffs above Black Hill Cove, and was a wild ,lonely place. But the seaman seemed to like it.‘Do many people come here?’he asked.‘No,’my father told him.‘Then it's the place for me,’said the seaman.‘I'll stay here for a bit. You can call me Captain.’He threw down three or four gold coins.‘Tell me when I've spent all that.’He was a silent man. All day he walked around the cove, or up on the cliffs ;all evening he sat in a corner of the room, and drank rum and water .He only spoke to our other customers when he was drunk. Then he told them terrible stories of his wild and criminal life at sea. Our customers were mostly quiet ,farming people; the captain frightened them and they soon learned to leave him alone.Every day, he asked if any seamen had gone along the road. At first we thought he wanted friends of his own kind, but then we began to understand that there was a different reason .He told me to watch for a seaman with one leg and to let him know the moment when a man like that appeared. He promised to give me a silver coin every month for doing this .I dreamed about this one-legged seaman for many nights afterwards. The captain stayed week after week, month after month. His gold coins were soon used up, but my father was a sick man and afraid to ask for more.Dr Livesey came late one afternoon. After he had seen my father ,he had dinner with my mother, then stayed to smoke his pipe .I noticed the difference between the doctor with his white hair and pleasant way of speaking, and that dirty, heavy, red-faced seaman, drunk with rum.The captain began to sing his song:Fifteen men on the dead man's chest-Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!Drink and the devil had killed off the rest-Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of, rum!Dr Livesey did not like the song.He looked up angrily before he went on talking to old Taylor, the gardener. Others in the room took no notice of the song. The captain beat the table with his hand for silence. The voices in the room died away, allexcept Dr Livesey's.The doctor continued to speak. The captain swore softly, then said,‘Silence!’‘Are you speaking to me ,sir?’asked the doctor.‘Yes,’the captain told him, swearing again.‘I have only one thing to say to you, sir,’replied the doctor.‘If you keep on drinking rum ,the world will soon be free of a dirty scoundrel!’The captain jumped to his feet with a knife in his hand ,but the doctor never moved .He spoke to the captain in a calm and clear voice so that others in the room could hear:‘If you don't put that knife away, I promise you shall die a criminal's death under the law.’Then followed a battle of looks between them, but the cap-tain soon put away his weapon and sat down like a beaten dog. Soon after Dr Livesey rode away on his horse. The captain was silent for the rest of the evening, and for many evenings after -wards.1 老海员乡绅屈利劳尼、李甫西大夫和其他几位绅士让我把金银岛的故事从头至尾写下来。

`Alan!' he cried. `Then rest his soul for a true seaman! And as for you, John Silver, long you've been a mate of mine, but you're mate of mine no more. If I die like a dog, I'll die in my dooty. You've killed Alan, have you? Kill me too, if you can. But I defies you.' And with that, this brave fellow turned his back directly on the cook, and set off walking for the beach. But he was not destined to go far. With a cry, John seized the branch of a tree, whipped the crutch out of his armpit, and sent that uncouth missile hurtling through the air. It struck poor Tom point foremost, and with stunning violence, right between the shoulders in the middle of his back. His hands flew up, he gave a sort of gasp, and fell. Whether he were injured much or little, none could ever tell. Like enough, to judge from the sound, his back was broken on the spot. But he had no time given him to recover Silver, agile as a monkey, even without leg or crutch, was on the top of him next moment, and had twice buried his knife up to the hilt in that defenceless body.
