2020广东省高考英语听说考试真题f

2020广东省高考英语听说考试真题f全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Title: My Big Brother's Super Tough TestOh boy, you won't believe what happened in our house last year! My big brother, Xiaoming, had to take this really, really hard test called the Gaokao. It's like the biggest, baddest test ever for kids in China who want to go to university. Mama and Baba were so worried about it, they wouldn't stop talking about it for months! The Gaokao has all sorts of subjects like math, Chinese, and even篇2My Big Brother's Really Hard TestMy big brother Ming is in his last year of high school. He has to take a super important test called the Gaokao to get into a good university. The Gaokao has all kinds of subjects like math, Chinese, and English. I'm just a little kid in elementary school, butmy brother told me all about the English listening and speaking part he had to do this year. It sounded really hard! For the listening part, Ming said they played recordings and videos and he had to answer questions about what he heard. Some of it was just people talking normally, but then there were other things too like news reports, lectures, and conversations. He had to listen really carefully and understand all the details. If there were any words he didn't know, he had to try and figure them out from the context. Listening is one of the hardest skills in English for Chinese students. Then for the speaking part, Ming had to talk into a microphone all by himself. No teachers or classmates were there, just a computer system recording him. He had to introduce himself first. I thought that would be easy for him, but Ming said he got pretty nervous having to speak English with no one actually listening live. His voice was shaking a little at the start! After the introduction, there were different question types he had to answer out loud. For some, he had to describe a picture that showed on the screen. He had to talk about all the people, objects, actions and scenes in the picture using lots of details and vocabulary. That's extra hard because you can't just read off a script. You have to make it up as you go.For other questions, Ming said they gave him some situational prompts where he had to pretend to be someone in a scenario. Like he had to act as a student asking his teacher about missing a class or pretending to be at the airport checking in for a flight. He really had to put himself into those different contexts and imaginations. Then the hardest questions were just open-ended opinion questions. The computer would show a statement and Ming had to analyze it from multiple perspectives. He had to explain his thoughts, give examples, describe causes and effects, all spontaneously in logically organized English speeches! Just thinking about doing all that makes my head spin.Through all the different listening and speaking tasks, Ming said he had to take notes while listening, outline his thoughts, and speak slowly but naturally. It took super strong English skills and lots of practice, practice, practice. I could never do anything like that now. I'm just impressed my brother could stay focused and poised through that whole intense test! When Ming finally finished, he felt both relieved and exhausted. The English listening and speaking section was one of the most challenging and high-pressure parts of the entire Gaokao for him. But he worked so hard and gave it his all, so I'mreally proud of him no matter what his score ends up being. Gaokao or no Gaokao, my brother is one of the most dedicated people I know.Being an elementary school kid, there's no way I can fully grasp what the Gaokao English listening and speaking test involved. But from what my brother described, it seemed like an amazingly difficult challenge testing your English comprehension and communication abilities to the absolute limit. I'm in awe of high school students like Ming who could take on something so intense and demanding. Maybe in several more years when I'm older, I'll be able to appreciate what an accomplishment that level of English proficiency is. For now, I've just got to keep studying my ABCs and simple phrases. But big bro Ming will always be my English role model!篇3The 2020 Gaokao English Listening and Speaking TestHey guys! I'm gonna tell you all about the big English test I had to take last year when I was in 12th grade. It was called the Guangdong Gaokao and it was super important because your score decides what university you get into in China. The Englishpart had a listening section and a speaking section, and let me tell you, it was not easy! The listening part was first. We had to put on headphones and listen to recordings of people talking in English. Some were conversations between two people and others were lecturers giving presentations. We had to answer multiple choice questions about what we heard. There were conversations about everyday situations like ordering food at a restaurant or buying tickets for a movie. Those weren't too bad because I hear that kind of thing on TV shows I watch. But then they played academic lectures about science topics like black holes and fossil fuels. Those were really hard to follow! The toughest recordings were always the group discussions. It would be like 4 or 5 people having a debate about something controversial like zoos or environmental policies. They'd all be talking over each other and using fancy vocabulary. I had to listen super carefully to try to get the main points each person was making. After each recording, we'd get questions like "What is the speaker's opinion about zoos?" or "What reasons does the speaker give for her position?" I'd frantically flip through my testbooklet circling the letters for my answers before the next recording started playing. My palms got so sweaty from being nervous! The speaking part was up next after a short break. For this section, we moved to a computer lab and each student took turns going into a recording room one-by-one. An exam assistant gave me instructions through the headphones. The first speaking task was a read-aloud where I had to read a passage out loud, slowly and clearly. That part wasn't too bad since I could practice reading ahead of time. As long as I didn't stumble over any tongue-twisters or weird idioms I could get through it smoothly.Next up was the questionresponsetask. I had 3 questions pop up on my screen and I had to quickly give spoken answers into my mic. The questions were about daily life topics like time management, hobbies, social media, that kind of stuff. You had to give a complete answer stating your viewpoint and providing some reasoning within a short 60 second time limit. Not too long to ramble but just enough time to trip over your words if you weren't well-prepared!The hardest part was definitely the last task, the oral summarization. For this, I first had to read a short passage thatwas like 3 paragraphs long and make sure I understood the main idea. When I was ready, I'd click a button and the passage would disappear from my screen. Then I had just 60 seconds to summarize the full passage in my own words as best I could into my mic. I'd have to condense all the key points and leave out minor details. Summarizing something that concisely was really challenging, let me tell you! My mind would go blank from the pressure of that countdown timer in the corner of the screen.Phew, after that I was done! I'd walk out of the recording room feeling mentally exhausted. Those 3 speaking tasks weren't crazy hard on their own, but having to do them all back-to-back with time limits while speaking perfect English made it so stressful! In the end, the Guangdong Gaokao English Listening and Speaking test was no joke. You really had to prep a ton to have any chance at a good score. Between convoluted conversations, high-level lectures, tricky idioms, and condensing ideason-the-fly, this test pushed your English skills to the limit in so many ways.I'm just really glad it's over and I never have to take an English test that intense again! Getting through that was a篇4My Big Adventure at SchoolHi! My name is Emily and I'm 8 years old. I'm in 3rd grade at Oakwood Elementary School. I really like school, especially math class because I'm great at adding and subtracting. My favorite part of the day is lunchtime though, because I get to eat and play with my best friends Lily and Jacob. One day a couple weeks ago, something really crazy happened at school! It was an adventure I'll never forget. It started out as a totally normal day. I woke up early, ate my breakfast of Coco Puffs and a banana, and my mom drove me to school. When I got to my classroom, Ms. Appleton wasn't there yet. That was weird because she's always the first one at school in the mornings.A few minutes later, the principal Mr. Wallace came on the loudspeaker. "Attention students and teachers," he said in a serious voice. "Due to a burst water pipe, we are evacuating the entire school immediately. Please exit your classrooms in a calm and orderly fashion and meet on the soccer field behind the school."My classmates and I looked at each other confused. A burst water pipe? We'd never had to evacuate before! But we did what Mr. Wallace said and lined up to leave the classroom. As we walked down the hallway, I could see water pouring out from a door down at the end. The whole hallway floor was getting soaked! When we got outside to the soccer field, kids and teachers from all the other classrooms were there too篇5The Big English TestHi! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I love English class and want to tell you all about the big English test my older sister Mei took last year. She's in 12th grade and had to take the gaokao to try to get into a good university. The gaokao is super important in China! The English part had a listening section and a speaking section. Mei studied really hard for the listening part. She did lots of practice tests and listened to English audio books and podcasts. Listening is hard because you only get to hear things once and have to understand right away. No rewind button! For the real test, Mei put on headphones and the recording started playing. There were conversations between people and she had to answer multiple choice questions about what they said. Some conversations were just chit-chat, while others were folks giving instructions or talking about school/work stuff. Then there were longer passages that were news reports, lectures, or stories. Those had more questions to answer about the main ideas and details. Mei said some had complicated vocabularies or tough accents to understand. But all that practice helped her do her best. After the listening part was the fun speaking section! Well, fun but also scary. Mei had to go into a room alone and speak into a microphone while recording her answers. No teachers there, just a voice on the recording giving instructions. The first speaking task was reading a word list out loud. Mei had practiced pronouncing English words nicely without her Chinese accent coming through too much. She tried to speak clearly and use good intonation instead of just a robotic voice.Next was the re-telling part. Mei listened to a short story or conversation while taking notes. Then she had to re-tell the whole thing in her own words to check her understanding. Sheworked hard on paraphrasing and not just memorizing and repeating the exact words. The hardest part was the last section with two open-ended questions. One asked Mei's opinion on something and she had to explain her thoughts in detail. The other gave a situation and she had to propose and describe her response or solution.Mei had practiced speaking English out loud a ton to build her fluency and coherence for this part. She stated her thesis, gave supporting details, had transitions between ideas, and tried to use more advanced grammar and vocabulary. No broken English allowed!Whew, the speaking section was nerve-wracking but also a chance to show off her skills. After weeks of hardcore English study, my sister rocked that test. She got a stellar score that helped her get into an amazing university. Maybe I'll follow in her footsteps someday!Well, that's the scoop on my big sis's big English exam. Speaking and listening to real English at length is challenging, but great practice. With hard work, anyone can develop strong English skills. Thanks for listening to me ramble about tests - let me know if you have any other questions!篇6My Awesome Summer Vacation!Hi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. I just had the best summer vacation ever and I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started on the last day of school. I was so excited because summer was finally here! No more homework, no more waking up early, and no more boring classes. Just three whole months of fun and games! My friends and I made all sorts of plans – sleepovers, camping trips, going to the beach, you name it. We were going to have an absolute blast. The first few weeks were pretty relaxing. I slept in late every day, played video games, and hung out with my buddies at the park or the playground. We had awesome Nerf gun battles and raced each other on our bikes and scooters. My mom made us delicious snacks like popsicles and lemonade to keep us cool in the hot summer sun. Then my family went on an amazing road trip! We packed up our trusty minivan and hit the road, driving all the way from Georgia to California. It took us four days, but it was so much fun. We sang silly songs, played road trip games like I Spy and thelicense plate game, and stopped at all the weird roadside attractions like the World's Largest Bowling Pin.When we finally made it to California, we spent a whole week at Disneyland! I had been dreaming of going there for years. It was even better than I imagined – the rides were awesome, the shows were incredible, and I got to meet all my favorite Disney characters like Mickey, Goofy, and Buzz Lightyear. We went on the Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and so many other cool rides. I didn't want to leave! After Disneyland, we drove up the Pacific coast to San Francisco. We walked across the Golden Gate Bridge (which was foggy and freezing cold but still really neat), visited the sea lions at Pier 39, and rode an iconic cable car. My little sister was terrified because the hills were so steep, but I thought it was a blast! On the way back home, we stopped for a couple of days in Las Vegas. It kind of freaked me out at first because everything is so big, bright, and over-the-top there. But then I saw all the amazing magic shows, went swimming in an epic pool shaped like a pyramid, and even won a stuffed elephant at the arcade! Vegas was pretty awesome. When we finally made it back to Georgia, I was exhausted but so happy. I had the best summer ever – I made so many incredible memories with my family, got to see amazing sights, and had nonstop fun and adventure for three whole months. Now I'm back in school and all my friends are super jealous when I tell them about my summer. I keep showing off all the cool souvenirs I brought back, like my Mickey ears, San Francisco cable car pencil, and my stuffed elephant from Vegas. I wish summer could last forever, but I guess I'll just have to wait until next year to have another epic vacation!Well, that's my summer adventure! Being a kid is the best, isn't it? Thanks for reading all about my summer – I hope you have an amazing one next year too. See you later!。

The Skinny Bridge.C. Heineken Brewery.D. Dam Square.BWhen John Todd was a child, he loved to explore the woods around his house, observing how nature solved problems. A dirty stream, for example, often became clear after flowing through plants and along rocks where tiny creatures lived. When he got older, John started to wonder if this process could be used to clean up the messes people were making. After studying agriculture, medicine, and fisheries in college, John went back to observing nature and asking questions. Why can certain plants trap harmful bacteria (细菌)? Which kinds of fish can eat cancer-causing chemicals? With the right combination of animals and plants, he figured, maybe he could clean up waste the way nature did. He decided to build what he would later call an eco-machine.The task John set for himself was to remove harmful substances from some sludge (污泥). First, he constructed a series of clear fiberglass tanks connected to each other. Then he went around to local ponds and streams and brought back some plants and animals. He placed them in the tanks and waited. Little by little, these different kinds of life got used to one another and formed their own ecosystem. After a few weeks, John added the sludge. He was amazed at the results. The plants and animals in the eco-machine took the sludge as food and began to eat it! Within weeks it had all been digested, and all that was left was pure water.Over the years, John has taken on many big jobs. He developed a greenhouse — like facility that treated sewage (污水) from 1,600 homes in South Burlington. He also designed an eco-machine to clean canal water in Fuzhou, a city in southeast China.“Ecological design” is the name John gives to what he does. “Life on Earth is kind of a box of spare parts for the inventor,” he says. “You put organisms in new relationships and observe what’s happening. Then you let these new systems develop their own ways to self-repair.”4. What can we learn about John from the first two paragraphs?A. He was fond of traveling.B. He enjoyed being alone.C. In part one, I describe the philosophical foundations of digital minimalism, starting with an examination of the forces that are making so many people’s digital lives increasingly intolerable, before moving on to a detailed discussion of the digital minimalism philosophy.Part one concludes by introducing my suggested method for adopting this philosophy: the digital declutter. This process requires you to step away from optional online activities for thirty days. At the end of the thirty days, you will then add back a small number of carefully chosen online activities that you believe will provide massive benefits to the things you value. In the final chapter of part one, I’ll guide you through carrying out your ow n digital declutter. In doing so, I’ll draw on an experiment I ran in 2018 in which over 1,600 people agreed to perform a digital declutter. You’ll hear these participants’ stories and learn what strategies worked well for them, and what traps they encountered that you should avoid. The second part of this book takes a closer look at some ideas that will help you cultivate (培养) a sustainable digital minimalism lifestyle. In these chapters, I examine issues such as the importance of solitude (独处) and the necessity of cultivating high-quality leisure to replace the time most now spend on mindless device use. Each chapter concludes with a collection of practices, which are designed to help you act on the big ideas of the chapter. You can view these practices as a toolbox meant to aid your efforts to build a minimalist lifestyle that words for your particular circumstances.8. What is the book aimed at?A. Teaching critical thinking skills.B. Advocating a simple digital lifestyle.C. Solving philosophical problems.D. Promoting the use of a digital device.9. What does the underlined word “declutter” in paragraph 3 mean?A. Clear-up.B. Add-on.C. Check-in.D.Take-over.10. What is presented in the final chapter of part one?A. Theoretical models.B. Statistical methods.C. Practical examples.D. Historical analyses.11. What does the author suggest readers do with the practices offered in part two?A. Use them as needed.B. Recommend them to friends.C. Evaluate their effects.D. Identify the ideas behind them.DOn March 7, 1907, the English statistician Francis Galton published a paper which illustrated what has come to be known as the “wisdom of crowds” effect. The experiment of estimation he conducted showed that in some cases, the average of a large number of independent estimates could be quite accurate. This effect capitalizes on the fact that when people make errors, those errors aren’t always the same. Some people will tend to overestimate, and some to underestimate. When enough of these errors are averaged together, they cancel each other out, resulting in a more accurate estimate. If people are similar and tend to make the same errors, then their errors won’t cancel each other out. In more technical terms, the wisdom of crowds requires that people’s esti mates be independent. If for whatever reasons, people’s errors become correlated or dependent, the accuracy of the estimate will go down. But a new study led by Joaquin Navajas offered an interesting twist (转折) on this classic phenomenon. The key finding of the study was that when crowds were further divided into smaller groups that were allowed to have a discussion, the averages from these groups were more accurate than those from an equal number of independent individuals. For instance, the average obtained from the estimates of four discussion groups of five was significantly more accurate than the average obtained from 20 independent individuals. In a follow-up study with 100 university students, the researchers tried to get a better sense of what the group members actually did in their discussion. Did they tend to go with those most confident about their estimates? Did they follow those least willing to change their minds? This happened some of the time, but it wasn’t the dominant response. Most frequent ly, the groups reported that they “shared arguments and reasoned together.” Somehow, these arguments and reasoning resulted in a global reduction in error. Although the studies led by Navajas have limitations and many questions remain the potential implications for group discussion and decision-making are enormous.12. What is paragraph 2 of the text mainly about?A. The methods of estimation.B. The underlying logic of the effect.C. The causes of people’s errors.D. The design of Galton’s experiment.13. Navajas’ study found that the average accuracy could increase even if ________.A. the crowds were relatively smallB. there were occasional underestimatesC. individuals did not communicateD. estimates were not fully independent14. What did the follow-up study focus on?A. The size of the groups.B. The dominant members.C. The discussion process.D. The individual estimates.15. What is the author’s attitude toward Navajas’ studies?A. Unclear.B. Dismissive.C. Doubtful.D. Approving.第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。

There is nothing wrong with the sentence except that it is little uninteresting The salesgirl. The waitress. The teacher, and all the countless other who speak it without thinking may not really care about ma day. But in a strange and comfortable way, it’s nice to know they care enough to pratend they care when they really don’t care all that much. While the expression may not often be sincere,it is always spoken. The point is that people say it all the time when they like.26.How does the author understand Maxie’s words?A.Maxie shows her anxiety to the author.B.Maxie really wishes the author a good day.C.Maxie encourages the author to stay happy.D.Maxie really worries about the author’s security.27.What does the underlined sentence in Paragraph 2 mean?A.The salesgirl is rude.B.The salesgril is bored.C.The salesgirl cares about me.D.The salesgirl says the words as a routine.28.By saying“Have a nice day,”a stranger may _____.A.try to be polite to youB.express respect to youC.give his blesing to youD.share his pleasure with you29.According to the last paragraph, people say“Have a nice day”_______.A.sincerelyB.asthanksC.as a habitD.encouragingly30.What is the best title of the passage?A.Have a Nice Day—a Social CustonB. Have a Nice Day—a Polite Ending of a ConversationBI have been consistenly opposed to feeding a baby regularly. As a doctor, mother and scientist in child development I believe there is nothing to recommend it, from the baby’s point of view.’s Mothers, doctors and nurse alike have no idea of where a baby blood sugar level lies. All we know is that a low level is harmful to brain development and makes a baby easily annoyed. In this state, the baby is difficult to calm down and sleep is impossible. The baby asks for attention by crying and searching for food with its mouth. It is not just unkind but also dangerous to say a four-hourly feeding schedule will make a baby satisfied. The first of the experts to advocate a strict clock-watching schedule was Dr Frederic Truby King who was against feeding in the night. I’ve never heard anything soridiculous. Baby feeding shouldn’t follow a timetable set by the mum. What is important is feeding a baby In the best way, though it may cause some ineonvenience in the first few weeks.Well, at last we have copper-bottomed research that supports demand feeding and points out the weaknesses of strictly timed feeding . The research finds out that babies who are fed on demand do better at school at age 5, 7 , 11 and 14, than babies fed according to the clock. By the age of 8, their IQ (智商)scores are four to five percent higher than babies fed by a rigid timetable. This Research comes from Oxford and Essex University using a sample (样本)of 10,419 children born in the early 1990s,taking account of parental education, family income,a child’s sex and age,the mother’s health and feeling style. These results don’t surprise me.Feeling according to schedule runs the risk of harming the rapidly growing brain by taking no account of sinking blood sugar levels.I hope this research will put an end to advocating strictly timed baby feeling practices.31.According to Paragraph 2,one reason why a baby cries is that it feels______.A.sickB.upsetC.sleepyD.hungry32.What does the author think about Dr King?A.He is strictB.He is unkindC.He has the wrong idea.D.He sets a timetable for mothers33.The word copper-bottomed in Paragraph 4 is closest in meaning to _________.A.basicB.reliableC.surprisingD.interesting34.What does the research tell us about feeling a baby on demand?A.The baby will sleep well.B.The baby will have its brain harmed.C.The baby will have a low blood sugar level.D.The baby will grow to be wiser by the age of 8.35.The author supports feeling the baby_______.A.in the nightB.every four hoursC.whenever it wants foodD.according to its blood sugar levelCI was blind, but I was ashamed of it if it was known. I refused to use a white stick and hated asking for help. After all, I was a tennger girl, and I couldn’t bear people to look at me and think I was not like them. I must have benn a terrible danger on the roads, Coming across me wandering through the traffic, motorists probably would have to step rapidly on their brakes. Apart from that, there were all sorts of disastersthat used to occur on the way to and from work. One evening, I got off the bus about halfway home where I had to change buses, and as usual I ran into something,“I’m awfully sorry,”I said and stepped forward only to run into it again. When it happened a third time, I realized I had been apologizing to a lamppost. This was just one of the stupid things that constantly happened to me. So I carried on and found the bus stop, which was a request stop, where the bus wouldn’t stop unless passengers wanted to get on or off. No one else was there and I had to try to guess if the bus had arrived.Generally in this situation, because I hated showing I was blind by asking for help,I tried to guess at the sound.Sometimes I would stop a big lorry and stand there feeling stupid as it drew away. In the end, Iusually managed to swallow my pride and ask someone at the stop for help. But on this particular evening no one joined me at the stop;It seemed that everyong had suddenly decided not to travel by bus. Of course I heard plenty of buses pass,or I thought I did.But because I had given up stopping them for fear of making a fool of myself,I let them all go by.I stood there alone for half an hour without stopping one. Then I gave up.I decided to walk on to the next stop.36.The girl refused to ask for help because she thought_________.A.she might be recognizedB.asking for help looked sillyC.she was normal and independentD.being fond blind was embarrassing37.After the girl got off the bus that evening,she_________.A.began to runB.hit a person as usualC.hit a lamppost by accidentD.was caught by something38.At the request stop that evening, the girl___________.A.stopped a big lorryB.stopped the wrong busC.made no attempt to stop the busD.was not noticed by other people39.What was the problem with guessing at the sound to stop a bus?A.Other vehicles also atopped there.B.It was unreliable for making judgments.C.More lorries than buses responded to the girl.D.It took too much time for the girl to catch the bus.40.Finally the girl decided to walk to the next stop,hoping__________.A.to find people thereB.to find more buses thereC.to find the bus by herself thereD.to find people more helpful thereDSports account for a growing amount of income made on the sales of commercial time by television companies. Many television companies have used sports to attract viewers from particular seetions of the general public, and then they have sold audiences to advertisers. An attraction of sport programs for the major U.S. media companies is that events are often held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons—the slowest time periods of the week for general television viewing.Sport events arethe most popular weekend programs, especially among male viewers who may not watch much television at other times during the week. This means the television networks are able to sell advertising time at relatively high prices during what normally would be dead time for programming.Media corporations also use sports to attract commercial sponsors that might take their advertising dollars elsewhere if television stations did not report certain sports. The people in the advertising departments of major corporations realize that sportsattract made viewers. They also realize that most business travelers are men and that many men make family decisions on the purchases of computers, cars and life insurance.Golf and tennis are special cases for television programming. These sports attract few viewers, and the ratings(收视率)are unusually low. However, the audience for these sports is attractive to certain advertisers. It is made up of people from the highest income groups in the United States,to certain advertisers. It is made up ofpeople from the highest income groups in the United States, including many lawyers and business managers. This is why television reporting of golf and tennis is sponsored by companies selling high-priced cars. business and personal computer, and holiday trips .This is also why the networks continue to carry these programs regardless of low ratings.Advertisers are willing to pay high fees to reach high-income consumers and those managers who make decisions to buy thousands of “company cars” and computer, with such viewers, these programs don’t need high ratings to stay on the air.41.Television sport programs on weekend afternoons .A.result in more sport eventB.get more viewers to play sportsC.make more people interested in televisionD.brirng more money to the television networks42.Why would weekend afternoons become dead time without sport programs?A.Because there would be few viewersB.Because the advertisers would be off workC.
