举几个例子例如长款皮夹克来说，与去年流行的短款皮夹克的区别不仅仅在于长短，在衣服的剪裁上也有很大区别，抛弃了廓形而是改成了修身款，而长款的皮衣保暖性和短款皮衣也是有很大区别。
并且今年的长款皮衣中增加了风衣版型的元素，使整个设计会变得让人觉得眼前一亮。
而且区别于前年的翻毛设计，这种设计会变得更加耐脏，十分适合秋天略显泥泞的潮湿天气。
皮衣顾名思义就是用动物皮制成的衣服。
一般皮衣的颜色都以深色为主，比如棕色、黑色，但是现在也有一些浅色皮衣，比如红色、蓝色、黄色等等，而今年的长款皮衣也是从这里颠覆了以往的设计。
在历史上，长款皮衣经历了从军队用衣到时尚装扮的演变过程，从前军官往往会身穿长款皮外套，因为其防水效果和耐寒效果极佳。
当然很多款式的皮夹克都是有军用衣的影子例如汤姆·克鲁斯（ Tom Cruise ）在《壮志凌云》（ Top Gun ）中的飞行员形象所穿的皮夹克，这一皮革制衣的起源确实是一战时期的飞行员服装，由于当时的飞机机舱多为开放式，皮衣可以帮助飞行员在6000米以上的高空平流层作战时抵御刺骨的寒冷。
