Anchor 船锚–沉重的铁铸物体,一般带有锚钩,由缆绳或铁链牵引沉到海底防止船只顺水漂流。
Anchorage 锚地–适合下锚的地点,也代表整个下锚过程。
Articles 契约–海盗到一艘船上需要签定的契约,里面叙述了需要遵守的规则以及最终的赃物分配形式。
Astern 在船尾–在船只尾部,与在船首相对。
Athwartships 横向的–贯穿船只侧面与其中心线成直角,船上的小舟一般都是横向的。
