补全句子主要考查考生的逻辑思维能力，考生必须在理解全文的基础上了解主旨大意，把握上下文之间的逻辑关系。

该题的设空方式主要有以下几种。

1.填写全文主题或中心思想

这种设空方式要求考生先通读全文，感知并深刻体会整个语篇主题及中心意思后方可作答。例 1 Dwelling (唠叨；老是想着) on troubles creates more stress, and stress creates health problems.
