本册教材主要围绕如何说明正在发生的事情，如何说明天气和方位，如何给别人指路等话题来展开的。
主要的训练内容是围绕以上话题进行日常交际中的简单对话。
对单词和句式以及现在进行时的使用是本学期的难点。
通过对本册书的学习，使学生能掌握现在进行时的陈述、疑问、以及特殊疑问句形式进行简单的对话来询问和描述某人正在做某事。
作为复习模块，呈现的本册书重点与难点的练习，Unit1的三个练习是针对天气穿着和现在进行时进行的操练，核心语言框架是：What do you wear on.../ I wear...What the weather like? It`s...What are they doing? They`re... 这个复习单元呈现了模块1到模块5，加上模块7和模块10的第二单元，难度也是由简到难，从描述第一人称到第三人称，从陈述句到疑问句到特殊问句，从单数的表达到复数的表达，层层递进，环环相扣。
因此基于对教材的理解和整合，我们把整个教材的内容划分为3个课时，再构话题：Period1 It’s fun to play together.Period2 Let’s go!Period3 Love is “Making Breakfast ”通过三个课时的复习，把整册教材的重点和准点梳理一遍，加深印象，进步巩固内化，并能激发起同学们对家人更深刻的爱。

Asking questions has always been one of my favorite things, so I'll nail this part for sure!Unit 3: My FamilyFamily is so important, and I'm looking forward to learning how to introduce my family members in English through this unit. The storytelling videos look hilarious - they're about a student introducing their huge family of bears. Could you imagine?! After the story, we'll start learning key vocabulary like "mother, father, sister, brother, grandma" etc. Then we practice describing our family through fun activities and games. There are roll plays where we pretend to interview each other's families. How cool is that? The grammar covers plurals which will be great for talking about my three rambunctious younger brothers. This unit will definitely be useful!Unit 4: My LikesThis is the unit I'm most excited about because it focuses on talking about our personal likes and dislikes for different foods, games, sports and more. The stories look engaging - they're about a mouse who likes everything maybe a little too much! I have a feeling these stories will be hilarious. There are pictures of all kinds of cool stuff like ice cream, video games, basketball and I get to learn and share my opinions on what I like or don't like. The grammar covers the super practical "like/don't like" patterns. Being able to express myself and share my interests is so important, so I'm really glad this unit will give me that skill. I can't wait to discuss my obsession with dinosaurs!Unit 5: My ThingsEvery kid loves their toys and personal items, so learning how to talk about "my things" in English will be awesome. The story is about a young girl who keeps misplacing her belongings - I can definitely relate to that! The pictures look vibrant and engaging with illustrations of lots of toys, school supplies, and everyday objects. We'll learn words like "bag, book, pen, ball, teddy" and more. Then we'll play games to practice using possessive pronouns like "mine, yours, his, hers". At the end, we can do fun surveys to find out who has the most of each type ofobject. But then I noticed there are tons of fun hands-on activities like crafting mini rooms out of paper or putting furniture stickers in the right places. There are even online house tours we can take! The grammar goes over prepositions of place like "in, on, under" which will let me describe exactly where things are located. By the end of this unit, I'll be a master of the English home vocabulary.Across all six units, I'm excited about the wonderful variety of stories, games, songs, chants, and hands-on projects. The textbook has such a friendly, colorful layout and design which makes me eager to learn. There's a perfect balance of reading, writing, speaking and listening practice. Plus, the grammar is interwoven in a natural way through activities rather than isolated drill exercises.I know some units will be easier and some harder, but I'm ready to take on this English learning journey!
