I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practise resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms, and, if it proved to be mean, why then to get the whole and genuine meanness of it, and publish its meanness to the world; or if it were sublime, to know it by experience, and be able to give a true account of it in my next excursion. For most men, it appears to me, are in a strange uncertainty about it, whether it is of the devil or of God, and have somewhat hastily concluded that it is the chief end of man here to “glorify God and enjoy him forever.”--Henry David ThoreauThe Road Not TakenTwo roads diverged in a yellow wood,And sorry I could not travel bothAnd be one traveler, long I stoodAnd looked down one as far as I couldTo where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair,And having perhaps the better claim,Because it was grassy and wanted wear;Though as for that the passing thereHad worn them really about the same,And both that morning equally layIn leaves no step had trodden black.Oh, I kept the first for another day!Yet knowing how way leads on to way,I doubted if I should ever come back.I shall be telling this with a sighSomewhere ages and ages hence:Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.--Robert FrostFire and IceSome say the world will end in fire,Some say in ice,From what I've tasted of desireI hold with those who favor fire. But if it had to perish twice,I think I know enough of hateTo day that for destruction iceIs also greatAnd would suffice--Robert Frost经典台词:一、14分-19分15秒吹着口哨进来,从后门出去。

Carpe diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary.
John Keating

I'd like you to step forward of you and peruse some of the faces from the past. They're not that different from you ,are they? Same haircuts. Full of hormones. Just like you. Invincible just like you fell. The world is their oyster. They belive they're destined for great things, just like many of you, their eyes are full of hope, just like you. Did they wait until it was too late to makefrom their lives even one iota ofwhat they were capable? Because, you see gentelman, these boys are now fertilising daffodils. But if you listen real close, you can hear them whisper their legacy to you. Go on,lean in. Listen, you hear it ? Carpe。

I sound… my barbaric… yawp…over the rooftops of the world.
(So, you are out there changing the world?) (Once I grow up, I am going to take … by storm.)
