The blacktents are made of super thick yak hair canvas that keeps it warm and cozy inside. They decorated the interior with beautiful Tibetan rugs and paintings too. Every night, the family lite bundles of yak dung to use as fuel for heat, which sounds gross but didn't smell bad at all! I also got to drink yak butter tea for the first time, which has a really rich, nutty flavor.My favorite part was getting to help out with taking care of the family's herd of yaks and other livestock. In the mornings, we'd help milk the female yaks, which was harder than it looks since they're so big and strong!
