English: In your essay, you have presented a well-structured argument with clear reasoning and evidence to support your points. Your introduction effectively captivates the reader's attention and sets up the context for the discussion. Your use of various examples and statistics helps to strengthen your points and make the argument more persuasive. Additionally, your conclusion effectively summarizes the main points and leaves a lasting impression on the reader. However, there are a few areas where you can improve. For instance, some of your sentences are overly long and complex, making it difficult for the reader to follow the thought process. It would be beneficial to break down these sentences into smaller, more digestible chunks. Furthermore, consider varying your sentence structures and avoiding repetitive language to create a more engaging and fluid flow in your writing.

In addition, the energy consumption of the Zeta building has beenlower than that of the Alpha building every year since its construction. argumentation
The Power of Argumentation in EnglishEssaysIn the realm of academic writing, the art of argumentation holds a pivotal position. It is not merely a technique to persuade others but a means to explore ideas, critically analyze them, and present a well-reasoned stance. The essence of argumentation lies in the careful balancingof claims, evidence, and logic to arrive at a convincing conclusion. This balancing act is particularly crucial in English essays, where the language itself often poses challenges due to its nuances and subtleties. The foundation of any argumentative essay is a clear, focused claim that the writer intends to defend. This claim should be stated explicitly in the introduction, settingthe tone for the entire essay. From there, the writer must build a robust framework by providing evidence thatsupports the claim. This evidence could be statistical data, quotes from experts, or anecdotal experiences thatillustrate the point. However, it is crucial to ensure that the evidence is relevant, credible, and sufficient to strengthen the argument. The art of argumentation in English essays alsoinvolves the careful manipulation of language. The writer must choose their words carefully, using precise vocabulary that conveys the intended meaning without ambiguity. Additionally, sentence structure and paragraph organization play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of the argument. Effective transition words and phrases help readers follow the thread of the argument, while well-structured paragraphs ensure that the essay remains focused and coherent. Moreover, argumentative essays require a certain degree of objectivity. The writer must present both sides of the argument fairly, acknowledging opposing viewpoints and addressing them with logic and evidence. This balanced approach not only enhances the credibility of the argument but also encourages critical thinking among readers. In conclusion, the power of argumentation in English essays lies in its ability to persuade, explore, andanalyze ideas in a clear, coherent, and objective manner.By mastering the art of argumentation, writers can convey their thoughts effectively, engage readers deeply, andcontribute to the larger discourse within their field of study.**中文翻译:****英语议论文中的论证力量**在学术写作领域,论证的艺术占据着核心地位。

(Argument)zoos should be closed
Zoos Should Be ClosedWith the decreasing natural areas for animals’ living and the species of the animals, whether the zoos should be closed or not became a controversial issue. Can the zoos support such a huge number of daily expenses of the animals? Do the zoos really have a better environment for the animals to survive? The answer is roughly no. It is really cruel to animals to live in zoos for some major reasons. Giving back the animals to the nature may be the better choice. In human society, zoos always play the role to serve humanity rather than to make animals living better. The phenomenon that animals are regarded as playthings has existed for a long time. The Colosseum* is the best example. As a product of social development, the primitive purpose of the creation of zoo is also for entertainment. In ancient China, the Emperor constructed some gardens and bred various animals in them. These gardens were designed for rest and leisure. In Europe, the situation was the same. Such gardens were the prototype of modern zoos.Until now, recreation is still the main use of zoo. Trainers demand animals to perform while most visitors spend more time on seeking entertainment rather than real knowledge about the animal. This kind of exploitation of animals for human entertainment is cruel and efforts should be made to stop it.Another strange phenomenon is that a lot of zoos also have used their animals on researches. Even though humanity itself is a kind of creature, mankind always thinks to be superior to other animals. In this case, human beings try every means to make studies of them and zoos are exactly the most appropriate research sites. Zoo provides a suitable platform for academic research. Animals are kept in the cages and the researchers can observe them day and night. Even sometimes cubs may be taken away from their mother for researches. In today’s vigorous advocacy of humanitarian, should we show consideration for how to treat animals again? As to human beings, they hold that it is beneficial to keep animals in the zoo and they can provide animals a comfortable surrounding. But as to the animals, it's cruel to take them out of their natural habitat. No animal should be taken out of the wilderness.Firstly, animals in zoos have to be locked up in cramped cages. They live in small captivity and lost their freedom. In addition, most zoos do not have the space for animals that live in groups like zebra, wolf, etc. The animals do not get to do what comes natural to them, but to cry lonely in the zoo to pass their remaining years. There is no real concern for the feelings of animals. Some of the spaces aren't considered small by our normal standards, but let's just remember where some ofthese animals are used to roaming. One must admit that it's something of a massive downgrade.Furthermore, as for those living or even born in zoos, it is also bad considering that they are losing the ability to survive in the wild gradually. We always prefer to watch such amazing footage of powerful lions running down prey, but how does this correspond to the lions bored in the corner of a cage? They are considered to be taken “good” care of, but they lose the skills that they would have had in the wild. They have no control over their lives. They just aren't the same as truly wild animals. It is clearly unnatural to these animals.Mostly, human behavior has exactly a great impact on animals’health. Some researches have proved that a large portion of zoo animals have physiological problems such as Self-mutilation, feeding disorders, reproductive disorders, etc. They are closely confined and lack privacy, and visitors give them food overly and unreasonably. Such phenomena breed disease or even endanger their life. It is a misery of animals living under human’s control.According to the law of nature, animals should be born in the wild and should live and die in the wild. They should make their homes or nests in the wild just as we build our houses in suburbs and cities. It is unnatural to choose animals out of the wild to lock in cages for people to look round. It is absurd to think that we should be so pompous to pick them for some certain purposes. It is totally wrong to think that we can do whatever we want with the planet and its many non-human inhabitants because of being higher on the food chain. In conclusion, zoos should be closed and animals should be back to the Nature. It will be beneficial to diversify species and promote ecological balance, even to save the animals on the brink of extinction. We all desire to witness the scenery such as the cheetah running for pray, the eagle flying freely in the sky and the dolphin jumping over the sea level.* Colosseum:罗马斗兽场。
In the realm of academic writing, the ability to persuade readers through clear, concise, and compelling arguments is paramount. English essays, particularly opinion-based pieces, offer a prime example of this craft, demanding not only linguistic proficiency but also a profound understanding of logical fallacies and persuasive techniques. This article aims to unpack the secrets of writing a persuasive English essay, drawing inspiration from widely downloaded samples and offering high-quality adaptations.**1. Defining the Topic and Taking a Stand**The foundation of any persuasive essay is a well-defined topic and a clear stance. Start by narrowing down a broad subject to a specific, debatable issue. For instance, instead of discussing the "impact of technology on society," consider focusing on "the negative effects of social media on mental health among adolescents." Onceyou've chosen your topic, take a clear stand either for or against the argument. This stance should be statedexplicitly in your introduction, setting the tone for the entire essay.**2. Constructing a Robust Argument**The core of persuasive writing lies in the construction of a robust argument. This involves identifying relevant evidence, analyzing it critically, and using it to support your claim. Draw from reliable sources like academic journals, peer-reviewed studies, or expert opinions. Avoid anecdotal evidence or unsupported assertions, as they weaken your argument's credibility.**3. Employing Persuasive Techniques**To enhance the impact of your argument, employ various persuasive techniques. These include using emotional appeals, providing examples and anecdotes, and employing rhetorical questions. For instance, you might tell a personal story about how social media affected your mental health to evoke empathy from the reader. Or, you might ask rhetorical questions like, "Can we afford to ignore the growing mental health crisis among our youth?" to draw the reader into your line of thinking.**4. Structuring the Essay Effectively**A well-structured essay is essential for maintaining the reader's attention and guiding them through your argument. Typically, an essay should have an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The introduction should introduce the topic, state your claim, and provide a brief overview of your argument. The body paragraphs should develop your argument, presenting evidence and analysis in support of your claim. The conclusion should summarize your main points and leave the reader with a final, persuasive thought.**5. Revising and Editing for Clarity and Impact**Once you've drafted your essay, it's crucial to revise and edit for clarity and impact. Check for grammatical errors, sentence structure, and word choice. Ensure that your arguments flow smoothly and that your language is both precise and engaging. Consider getting feedback from a peer or a teacher to identify areas for improvement. In conclusion, persuasive writing is a skill that can be honed through practice and attention to detail. By defining your topic, constructing a robust argument, employing persuasive techniques, structuring your essay effectively, and revising for clarity and impact, you can craft English essays that are both convincing and engaging. With this blueprint in hand, you're ready to take on any persuasive writing challenge.**观点作文的力量:英语范文写作指南**在学术写作领域,通过清晰、简洁和有力的论点说服读者的能力至关重要。
Arguing is an essential part of communication. It allows us to express our opinions and ideas, and to challenge and learn from others. However, arguing can also lead to conflict and hurt feelings if not done in a respectful and constructive manner. In my opinion, the key to a successful argument is to listen actively to the other person's point of view and to respond with empathy and understanding. This means acknowledging their perspective, even if we don't agree with it, and trying to find common ground. For example, if I were arguing with a friend about whether or not to go out to eat, I would listen to their reasons for wanting to stay in and cook at home. Then, I would explain why I think going out would be a fun and enjoyable experience. Finally, we would try to find acompromise, such as ordering takeout or cooking together.Another important aspect of arguing is to avoid personal attacks and to stick to the issue at hand. It's easy to get sidetracked and start attacking the other person's character or motives, but this only serves to escalate the argument and make resolution more difficult. In conclusion, arguing can be a positive and productive way to communicate, as long as it is done with respect and empathy. By actively listening, finding common ground, and avoiding personal attacks, we can turn arguments into opportunities for growth and understanding.

1I prefer my English classes to be taught only in English because it is helpful for us to improve the ability of speaking and listening in a very short time. I have strong interest in English study and foreign culture, so I’d like to be totally immersed in the atmosphere of English so that I can quickly make progress. That’s why I prefer total English. How ever, since we are all English beginners, it’s really hard to understand all that the teacher says. Sometimes we need Chinese explanation. So my viewpoint is that we are taught not only in English but also using Chinese as a minor way to explain things that are hard to understand. 2I prefer my English classes to be taught in both English and Chinese, whose advantage is that it is easy for us to understand what the teacher talks about. The teacher first teaches the class in English, and then she explains those that are hard to understand to us so that we get a better knowing of the passage. That will be good for us.However, teaching the class in two languages will make the English atmosphere not so strong. Some students who wish to be taught in English will be disappointed.Except for the disadvantage, I think it is really good to hear two languages in classes. It can make us more familiar with the foreign culture. 3At present, there are still some people who are wedded to the belief(坚信) that high diploma equals to high ability and profound knowledge. For example, the number of people attending the enrollment examination(入学考试) of graduate study has been increasing greatly. As a matter of fact, high diploma can not have a final say in on e’s competence. There are a dozen of reasons behind this argument. For one thing, competence is a comprehensive(综合的) combination of schooling, experience and flexibility, and diploma is only validation of the education one is supposed to recEive. For another, there is always a gap between theory and practice, and without proper application of knowledge into practice, diploma accounts for nothing. Last but not the least, if not given the opportunity, one with high diploma may never show his or her ability. All mentioned above tell us that diploma can not decide everything and fully reflect one’s ability. Therefore, we are in a position to develop our comprehensive competence and attach importance to the activities of putting book knowledge into social practice. 4It’s not allowed to throw litter anywhere in the public places. Everyone should obey the rules. Speaking loudly in the reading room is seemed to be very rude. Remember not to do anything that might make other people uncomfortable. We should stand in line when we are waiting for the bus. Try hard to give up the bad habits and develop good ones. We should respect the senior people and talk to them politely. Especially, we should give our seat to old people or women with babies on the bus. I think helping others can not only make us happy but also help us getmore experience in life. Please cherish the public property. 5Nowadays mobile phones are becoming more and more popular among the middle school students. Some think it is good for students to bring a mobile phone. But some people do not think so. They think it is bad for students to bring a mobile phone. Because the students will use mobile phones to play games, sent text messages, watch movies, etc which will do harm to their study. And if a mobile phone ring in the class, the teacher and students would be disturbed. In my opinion, we can bring mobile phones to school. As we know, the 21st century is a modern age and full of information. A mobile phone is one of the quickest tools for us to exchange information. The mobile phone is a fashionable and useful invention,so we ought to make the best use of it. Suppose there’s a sudden accident, it is more convenient for us to dial for help immediately. There’re also some games in the mobile phone. We can relax ourselves by playing them when we’re tired of our studies. In my opinion,it’s not wrong to follow the fashion, but the most important thing is how to use the mobile phone in a right way and do not disturbed others. 6Li Xiaohu spent too much time playing computer games and he fell behind others. As a good/close friend of his, I must do something to help him.First,I think it’s very important for him to learn lessons well. He should spend most of his time on his study instead of computer games. Secondly,I must tell him that playing computer games too much is bad for his health, especially for his eyes. So he must give it up. I can play more sports with himafter school. Maybe he will become more interested in sports th an computer games. And then I‘ll ask him to concentrate more on his study. Of course, I will try my best to help him with all his subjects. I think I can do it in many fun ways and let him find much fun in studying. At the same time,I’ll ask both his parents and our teachers to help him, too. If I try these,I‘m sure he will make great progress soon. 7As we know, TV plays an important part in our daily life. It’s quicker and more convenient to get information from TV than from newspapers. It is an important tool to spread culture and information, including foreign languages. And we can learn much knowledge from TV which we can’t get from books. What’s more, good TV programs can keep us wise and healthy. With TV, children can grow up happily. So it is not reasonable to forbid students to watch TV. But watching TV too long is not good. Sitting in front of TV all day does harm to our eyes and wastes our time for study. So we should take a correct attitude to students watching TV.。

Against Mandatory V olunteeringNowadays, more and more schools regard volunteering as a necessary job for teenagers to grow up with a sense of public and caring services, for which lots of schools make volunteering mandatory. However, since volunteering is a personal choice as well as a thing with happiness, mandate can not be a good idea. For one thing, students should have rights to choose what they want to do. In a sense, university is a society, which provides students with plenty of opportunities to develop themselves. As students are the ones who know what is suitable for them and what will do good to them, they have the wise sense of choosing the best thing. They can enhance different aspects of abilities and skills through practicing by themselves, such as playing instruments, doing sports, or communicating with others in groups or organizations. For another, students may become resentful and resistant if they volunteer with force. There is no denial that things can not be done better without a voluntary mind. Similar to study, students can not only have more acquisition but also can create more value when they devote themselves to the volunteer work. With a passionate and cordial heart, they can find that donating times and love is a good way to gain happiness and they hope that it will become a part of their lives. It may be claimed that mandatory volunteering is a constructive way for students to spend time. Actually, instead of just sitting around, most of students participate many extracurricular activities or join in the associations, some of which may be about volunteering. This phenomenon exists in my college indeed. Besides, they should besuggested to be more active to find out what can help them make full use of time, rather than doing something mandatory. All in all, there are some negative influences about mandatory volunteering actually---no free and satisfied choices as well as helping others with resentful minds. Therefore, volunteering should be real voluntary without any mandate.Total words:336。

Have I provided persuasive details to support my argument? Have I acknowledged the opposing point of view, showing that I am a reasonable person willing to consider other arguments? Is my language tactful and courteous in order to avoid insulting anyone who doesn't agree with me? Have I used transition words to help readers follow my train of thought? Does my final supporting paragraph include a strong argument for my position? Have I provided a concluding paragraph to summarize my argument or add a final peding paragraph is your final chance to persuade your readers to accept your argument. Consider ending with a prediction of what will happen if your point of view does not prevail. Will an existing situation grow worse? Will a new problem arise?
• You do a pretty good job of supporting your first main point (“Schoolwork and the benefits of extracurricular activities tend to go by the wayside when adolescents work long hours”) by noting the effect of too much work on scholastic achievement and extracurricular activities. You less effectively support points 2 and 3 (“Another drawback of too much work is that it may promote materialism and an unrealistic lifestyle” and “Finally, teenagers who work are more likely than others to get involved with alcohol and drugs”). Show how teens become too materialistic; don't just state that they do. And what evidence do you have that working teens use drugs and alcohol more than others?

Nowadays some persons maintain a relationship with his girlfriend/her boyfriend who is in a different city. Some people think that the long distance can make out beauty, so the lovers would love each other more deeper. But in my opinion, maintain a long distance isn't a good idea, lovers shouldn't keep far away from each other. The long distance can cause many troubles. Firstly, because of the long distance, there wouldn't be enough communication between the two lovers, the feeling of love would be reduced. Secondly, if one of the two lovers has som e trouble to deal with such as illness, the other one can't help him/her. Thirdly, the relationship may be destroyed by other people for the long distance.
If the two lovers are in different cities, they can communicate with each other by phone, SMS QQ etc, but these communication methods are not effective. Talk to each other face to face is the most effective way to communicate. If the two lovers cann't meet for a long time, the feeling of love would get weaker and weaker. Many student lovers' relationship broke up after they graduated from school, the most probable reason is that they are in different cities, there aren't enough communications.
In our everyday life, we all have troubles to deal with, so me troubles we can deal with by ourselves, but some other troubles we cannot deal with alone. If one of the two lovers need help, but the other one cann't help her/him, what the one who needs help would think. He/she would notice the advantages of long distance relationship, and this thing would lead to an end to the relationship. People fall in love with each other may have many reasons, one potential reason is that the two people can help each other. So if the two lovers are in different cities the relationship cannot keep for a long time.
The long distance has another disadvantage, the relationship may be destroyed by other people. As I mentioned above the long distance make the lovers' feeling of love get weaker and weaker. If one other person can talk to the one of the two lovers almost everyday and can help him/her when him/her need help, the one of the two lovers may fall in love with the person who can stay together with him/her. So if you want to keep the relationship with your girlfriend/boyfriend, the long distance should be avoided.
There are many disadvantages of maintaining a long distance relationship, so maintain a long distance relationship isn't a good idea. The persons who are keeping a long distance relationship must have to be so, if they can have one choice to stay together, I think most of them would choose stay together.。
