我最喜欢的名人白求恩英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Favorite Celebrity, Norman BethuneDo you know who Norman Bethune is? He's my favorite celebrity ever! I learned about him in school, and I think he's the coolest person in history. Let me tell you all about him and why I admire him so much.Norman Bethune was a Canadian doctor who lived a long time ago. He was born in 1890 in a small town called Gravenhurst, which is in Canada. Even as a young boy, Norman loved helping people and wanted to become a doctor. He worked really hard in school and eventually got his dream of becoming a doctor! After becoming a doctor, Norman Bethune started working in Montreal, which is a big city in Canada. But he didn't just help people in his city. Oh no, Norman Bethune was always looking for ways to help people all over the world, especially those who were really poor and didn't have access to good medical care.In 1936, Norman Bethune went to Spain to help the people there who were suffering from a terrible war. He set up mobile medical units right on the battlefield! Can you imagine how brave and selfless he was? He risked his own life to save the lives of soldiers and civilians caught in the fighting. But Norman Bethune's biggest adventure happened in 1938 when he went to China. At that time, China was also in the middle of a war against Japan. The Japanese army had invaded many parts of China, and the Chinese people were struggling to defend their country. Norman Bethune joined the Chinese army as a military doctor and helped treat wounded soldiers. What makes Norman Bethune so special is that he didn't just treat the soldiers' physical wounds. He also tried his best to make their lives a little bit better, even in the middle of a terrible war. For example, he invented a special type of medical vehicle that could transport injured soldiers from the battlefield to the hospital quickly and safely. This saved the lives of many Chinese soldiers.Norman Bethune was also really good at training other doctors and nurses. He taught them all the latest medical techniques so they could provide better care to the soldiers. Even though the conditions were harsh and resources werelimited, Norman Bethune never gave up. He worked tirelessly, day and night, to help as many people as possible.Sadly, Norman Bethune died in 1939 from an infection he got while operating on a soldier. He was only 49 years old. The Chinese people were so sad when he died because they loved him so much. They even built a special monument in his honor, and schools in China still teach students about his life and his incredible contributions. So why is Norman Bethune my favorite celebrity? Well, first of all, he was a real-life hero who risked everything to help others. He didn't care about money or fame; he just wanted to make the world a better place. Secondly, he was incredibly brave and selfless. He went to dangerous places and put his own life on the line to save people he didn't even know. But most importantly, Norman Bethune taught me that one person really can make a difference in the world. He showed that even in the darkest and most difficult times, a single act of kindness and compassion can bring hope and comfort to those suffering.I hope that when I grow up, I can be even a little bit like Norman Bethune. I want to help people, no matter where they're from or what their circumstances are. I want to be brave andselfless, and always try my best to make the world a better place, even if it's just in a small way.Norman Bethune is proof that anyone can be a hero, no matter how ordinary they might seem. He's my favorite celebrity because he's a real-life example of what it means to be a good human being. And that's the most important thing of all.篇2My Favorite Famous Person - Dr. Norman BethuneDr. Norman Bethune was a really cool and amazing person that I learned about in school. He was a doctor from Canada who went to China to help the people there during a very difficult war time. Even though he was from far away, he cared so much about helping others that he traveled across the world to use his medical skills in China. One thing I really admire about Dr. Bethune is how brave and selfless he was. Back in the 1930s, there was a big war going on in China between the Chinese people and the Japanese invaders. A lot of Chinese soldiers and civilians were getting hurt and sick, but there weren't enough doctors to help everyone. That's when Dr. Bethune decided to go to China from Canada to be a battlefield doctor and surgeon. Can you imagine how scarythat must have been? The fighting was so intense, with bombs and bullets everywhere. But Dr. Bethune didn't think about his own safety - he just wanted to save lives. From what I've learned, Dr. Bethune worked pretty much non-stop, day and night, treating anyone who needed help - soldiers, villagers, even the enemy's wounded troops. He performed lots of complicated surgeries in really harsh conditions, like in simple huts or caves without much equipment or supplies. But he was such a skilled doctor that he could do amazing things anyway. One story I remember is about him operating on a soldier by just using a few simple tools and a flashlight held by a nurse to see by. That's incredible! Not only was Dr. Bethune an excellent doctor, but he was also admired for being so kind, humble and genuinely caring about people. He didn't just treat their physical injuries, but tried to make them feel better emotionally too with his friendly personality. Sometimes he would even give his own bedroll to an injured soldier to make them more comfortable. The Chinese people grew to love and respect him so much that they affectionately called him "Bai Qiu'en" which means "The foreigner who insists on complete equality between races."Dr. Bethune worked tirelessly to help heal the sick and wounded until he got very ill himself from all the poor living conditions and lack of rest. Sadly, in 1939 when he was only 49 years old, he passed away from his sickness. People in China were devastated at losing their beloved "Dr. Ai" (another nickname meaning "The Beloved/Admired One"). To honor his memory, even the top Chinese leader at the time, Mao Zedong, wrote an essay praising Dr. Bethune as an role model for his totally selfless spirit in serving the people.Every year in China on December 28th, which was Dr. Bethune's birthday, there are ceremonies and events celebrating his life and amazing humanitarian work. In my opinion, he is definitely one of the most inspirational historical figures I've learned about. Even though he came from the other side of the world, Dr. Bethune displayed the most compassionate and caring qualities a person can have. His dedication to helping others at all costs, no matter how difficult the circumstances, is something I really look up to.When I'm older, I hope I can be as brave, selfless and caring as Dr. Bethune was. He showed that anyone can make a huge difference in the world, even just one person, as long as they have a good heart and are willing to work hard for a importantcause. Dr. Bethune's spirit of internationalism - recognizing our common humanity and being willing to help anyone in need no matter where they're from - is also an ideal that I think篇3My Favorite Famous Person: Dr. Norman BethuneHave you ever heard of a person who was so kind and brave that they gave up their own life to help others? Well, let me tell you about my favorite famous person, Dr. Norman Bethune. He was a Canadian doctor who went to China during a very difficult time, and he did amazing things to help the Chinese people.Dr. Bethune was born in 1890 in a small town called Gravenhurst, which is in Canada. His parents taught him to be kind and helpful to others, and he grew up to be a really nice person. After he finished school, Dr. Bethune became a doctor. He wanted to help people who were sick or injured, especially those who didn't have a lot of money. He worked in many hospitals in different countries, but he was always looking for new ways to help people in need.In 1938, Dr. Bethune heard about the war that was happening in China. The Japanese army was invading China, and many Chinese people were getting hurt or killed. Dr. Bethune knew that he had to do something to help, so he decided to go to China and join the Chinese army as a doctor. When he arrived in China, Dr. Bethune was shocked to see how many people were suffering from the war. There were not enough doctors or hospitals to take care of all the injured soldiers and civilians. But Dr. Bethune didn't give up. He set up a mobile medical unit, which was like a hospital on wheels, and he traveled to different battlefields to treat the wounded.Dr. Bethune worked day and night, sometimes for 20 hours straight, to save as many lives as possible. He didn't care if the people he was helping were Chinese or Japanese – he just wanted to help anyone who needed it. He even gave blood transfusions to the wounded soldiers, using his own blood when there wasn't enough available. One of the things that made Dr. Bethune so special was that he didn't just treat people's physical wounds; he also tried to make them feel better emotionally. He would sit and talk with the soldiers, telling them jokes and stories to cheer them up. Hebelieved that having a positive attitude was just as important as getting medical treatment.Dr. Bethune's kindness and bravery inspired many people in China. The Chinese people saw how hard he worked to help them, and they were amazed by his selflessness. They called him "Bai Qiu'en," which means "Dr. White Savior" in Chinese.Sadly, Dr. Bethune became very sick from all the hard work and lack of rest. He developed a terrible infection called septicemia, which is a kind of blood poisoning. Even though he was very sick, he refused to stop working or leave China. On November 12, 1939, Dr. Bethune passed away at the age of 49. The Chinese people were heartbroken when they heard the news. They had lost a true hero and a dear friend.Even though Dr. Bethune is no longer with us, his legacy lives on. He inspired many other doctors and nurses to follow in his footsteps and help those in need, no matter where they were from or what their background was. He showed us that one person can make a big difference in the world, as long as they have the courage and compassion to do what's right. To this day, Dr. Bethune is remembered and honored in both Canada and China. There are statues, museums, and schoolsnamed after him in both countries. He is a symbol of the friendship and respect between the Canadian and Chinese people.I admire Dr. Bethune because he was someone who truly cared about others and was willing to sacrifice everything for them. He didn't have to go to China and risk his life, but he did it anyway because he wanted to help people who were suffering. That's what true heroism is all about.Whenever I feel like giving up or not trying my best, I think about Dr. Bethune and how hard he worked to make a difference in the world. He inspires me to be kinder, braver, and more compassionate towards others, no matter who they are or where they come from.In my opinion, Dr. Norman Bethune is one of the greatest heroes of all time. He showed us that love and kindness can overcome hate and violence, and that one person can change the world if they have the courage to try. I hope that by learning about him, you'll be inspired to do good deeds and make a positive impact on the world, just like he did.篇4My Favorite Famous Person: Dr. Norman BethuneDo you know who Dr. Norman Bethune is? He was a really cool guy who lived a long time ago. I learned about him in school and he quickly became my favorite famous person ever!Dr. Bethune was born way back in 1890 in a small town in Canada. Even as a kid, he had a big heart and always wanted to help others. His parents taught him that it was important to be kind and care about people, no matter how rich or poor they were. When he grew up, Dr. Bethune became a doctor and a surgeon. But he wasn't just any regular doctor. You see, back in those days, many people couldn't afford to see a doctor or go to the hospital when they got sick or injured. Dr. Bethune felt really bad about that. He believed that everyone deserved good medical care, rich or poor.So Dr. Bethune started going to poor neighborhoods and treating people for free, even though he didn't have much money himself. He would set up little medical stations wherever he could – in people's homes, in churches, even on the street! He wanted to make sure nobody went without the medical help they needed.Dr. Bethune was amazing at surgery too. He could perform operations that hardly any other doctors could do at that time. And get this – he invented over 20 different surgical tools and techniques that made operations easier and safer for patients! Pretty cool, right? But Dr. Bethune's biggest adventure happened in 1938 when he went to China. You see, China was at war with Japan back then and lots of Chinese soldiers were getting hurt in the fighting. The Chinese didn't have many doctors to help the wounded soldiers though. They started calling him "Ba Qiu'en" which means "The Divine Transcendent" in Chinese.Dr. Bethune worked tirelessly to help the Chinese soldiers. He didn't take any days off and barely slept. At one point, he had to perform an operation on himself because he had developed a nasty infection! Talk about hardcore!Sadly, Dr. Bethune died in 1939 after cutting himself during surgery. He got an infection that spread and made him really ill. Even though the doctors tried their best, they couldn't save him. Dr. Bethune was only 49 years old when he died. It was such atragedy to lose someone so caring and selfless at such a young age.But you know what? Dr. Bethune's legacy lives on. People in China were so grateful for all he did that they built statues and museums honoring him. A hospital was even named after him! In Canada, schools and hospitals also carry his name to remind everyone of his amazing humanitarian spirit.I really admire Dr. Bethune because he always put others before himself. He used his talents as a doctor and surgeon to help people in need, no matter where they were from or how poor they were. His kindness and compassion made the world a better place.Whenever I grow up, I want to be just like Dr. Bethune –someone who makes a positive difference in people's lives through hard work and caring about others. He is my hero because he showed that one person really can change the world, as long as they have a good heart. That's why Dr. Norman Bethune will always be my favorite famous person.篇6My Favorite Famous Person: Norman BethuneHave you ever heard of Norman Bethune? He was a really amazing doctor who lived a long time ago. I first learned about him in my history class and I thought his story was so cool that he became my favorite famous person!Norman Bethune was born in Canada in 1890. When he was a young man, he went to school to become a doctor. But he wasn't just any regular doctor. Norman Bethune really cared about helping poor people who couldn't afford medical care.Even as a student, he would go to poor neighborhoods and treat sick people for free. One time, he was out delivering a baby and the family had no money to pay him. Norman didn't care - he just wanted to help the mom and baby. That's the kind of caring person he was. After finishing school, Norman Bethune worked at hospitals in Montreal and other cities. He could have made a lot of money as a fancy doctor for rich people. But instead, he chose to open up a small clinic in a poor area to treat patients for free or very little cost. Norman didn't care about getting rich. His only goal was helping people in need.In 1936, there was a terrible war going on in Spain between the government and rebel groups. Hospitals were getting bombed and they really needed doctors to help treat all theinjured people. When Norman Bethune heard about this, he left his job in Canada and went to Spain as a volunteer. He set up a mobile blood transfusion service right on the frontlines of the battlefield! This was very dangerous, with bombs and bullets flying everywhere. But Norman didn't care about the risks. He was determined to save as many lives as possible with his blood transfusions. The way he worked was just incredible. Norman and his team would collect blood from soldiers behind the lines. Then they would rush up to injured troops and give them direct blood transfusions right there on the battlefield! This was before blood banks or modern ambulances, so what Norman did was pioneering work.Norman's bravery and skills helped treat over 5,000 wounded soldiers and civilians during the Spanish Civil War. He performed medical miracles and saved so many lives. The soldiers called him the "English Piece of Shrapnel" because he would quietly slip in and out of battles to treat the wounded. To me, he's a real-life superhero! After Spain, Norman Bethune went to help on the frontlines of another war - this time the Second Sino-Japanese War in China. This was in 1938 when Japan was invading parts of China.Just like in Spain, Norman left the safety of Canada behind so he could use his medical skills where they were needed most.In China, he treated injured Chinese soldiers and civilians with the same fearless spirit he had shown in Spain. Norman performed surgery after surgery, sometimes operating for 20 hours straight! He would even roll up his sleeves to physically carry wounded soldiers to safety when no stretchers were available. The people of China loved Norman Bethune for his selfless work ethic and the way he cared about every patient, no matter if they were just a poor farmer or an important official. He became a hero and bright symbol of hope during some of China's darkest hours of that terrible war.Sadly, Norman's time in China was cut short after he cut his finger during surgery. Back then they didn't have antibiotics, so a small infection turned deadly. In 1939, at just 49 years old, this incredible doctor passed away far too young. The people of China were devastated to lose someone who had given his life to help them. Norman Bethune's ideals and humanitarian spirit were so inspirational that he became a cultural icon. Stories of his selflessness and bravery were taught to generations of Chinese children as an example to live by.I think Norman Bethune's life story is simply amazing. What I admire most about him is how genuinely good-hearted he was. He could have chosen an easy, comfortable life as a doctor for the rich. Instead, he decided to take his talents to the most difficult and dangerous places on Earth. Not because he wanted money or fame, but simply because he wanted to help heal the sick and injured.Norman risked his life over and over again by going to different war zones to treat wounded soldiers and civilians. He did whatever it took to care for his patients, even if that meant working around the clock without rest. To me, that's the ultimate example of courage, kindness and selflessness all in one person.I'm sure Norman Bethune would be the first to say he was just doing his job as a doctor. But to millions of people around the world, he was a real-life hero who symbolized the very best of humanity. His amazing legacy of service lives on today and continues to inspire new generations, including kids like me.When I grow up, I hope I can be just a little bit like the great Dr. Norman Bethune - brave, caring and always willing to help those in need, no matter what. He truly was one of the most extraordinary people who ever lived. That's why Norman Bethune will always be my favorite famous person!。

小学英语 英语故事(名人故事)永远的面具 金凯利
永远的面具—金·凯利The Mask Forever —Jim CarreyJim Carrey has become one of the most recognized faces in the world —and it is precisely because of his face that he has achieved such fame. His rubbery look, and penchant for wild and extreme behavior has given him a notoriety he delights in.Born in New Market, Ontario, Canada on January 17th, 1962 to a working class family, growing up poor was tough for young Jim Carrey, While in his teens, he had to take a job as a janitor when his father lost his job and he had to juggle both School and work. School eventually lost out and he dropped out. He describes himself as being very angry at this time in his life, yet one good thing came out of it. He developed a tremendous sense of humour to help him cope and to shield his anger from the world. He was a loner who claims he didn’t have any friends because he didn’t want any. Between school and work there just wasn’t much time for a childhood. At 15 though, he had enough time to start performing at Yuk Yuks, a famous Toronto comedy club where he began to perfect his shtick. He moved to LA and did the club circuit there. He soon came to the attention of Rodney and was put on his tour.Jim Carrey got his big break in 1990, when he landed a role on the hip new sketch comedy show In Living Color which boasted a cast of African-Americans and Carrey, the sole white guy. While there, Carrey perfected many characters, most notoriously “Fire Marshal Bill” who always went up in a blaze. The sketch was yanked when critics claimed that it encouraged kids to play with fire. The controversy put Carrey’s name in the headlines for the first time.He broke into feature films, and into the collective unconscious of the world, in one single successful year, 1994. It was the Year of the Funny Face. First there was Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, a surprise hit that show Carrey’s now signature wacky style. Next came The Mask, a role that seemed tailor-made for him and was a hit with audiences. As if he hadn’t made an impression yet, there was still Dumb and Dumber which was released during the holiday season and ended up on top of the box office. Jim Carrey was in the limelight now and he hasn’t looked back since.Since that famous year Carrey has, dare we say it····, slowed down a bit. His films have come out less often but have continued to make waves if not quite of the caliber as previously seen. There was Batman Forever, in which he inherited the role of The Riddler. Then there was a sequel to Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls which didn’t quite recapture the sparkle of the original. Next came Liar, Liar. The film was a tremendous success with crowds everywhere and put him back on top. It also brought his salary back up 20 million. Then came The Truman Show, a film which proved to the world that Jim Carrey was more than just a funny face.In fact, Jim was awarded a Golden Globe for his dramatic portrayal. When he was snubbed by the Oscars, there was a collective gasp heard around the world. Clearly the fans at least think Jim Carrey is golden. The future looks good for Jim Carrey, he has developed a legion of devoted fans who love his wild style of physical comedy. He has proven his ability to weather a storm and come out on top, important for any celebrity.Carrey has come a long way from his unhappy childhood and in fact seems to be living a second childhood now. Canada has been producing fine comedic talents for years, and Jim Carrey is definitely the best of the new breed.永远的面具—金·凯利金·凯利已成为当今世界上最熟悉的面孔之一—确切地说,是由于他的面孔,才使他闻名遐迩。
