从环境上看,学生除了在课堂短短的40分钟外,基本就没有应用英语的地方,等等等等诸多原因,使我的英语教学开展起来非常不顺畅。

When Mrs. Robinson asked me to speak today about my experience learning English, I was really excited because English has become one of my favorite subjects in school.I know a lot of you might be thinking - English? As a 5th grader? Isn't that too young to really learn a second language? Well, let me tell you, starting English early has been one of the best things for me.I remember back in 1st grade when we started having English classes twice a week. At first, it just seemed like a fun extra class where we sang silly songs and learned the ABCs. But as I got a little older, English became so much more than just a fun activity period.In 2nd grade, we really started learning vocabulary words and simple sentences. I'll never forget when we learned colors, numbers, and how to introduce ourselves. It was so exciting putting those first little English phrases together!Then in 3rd grade, we began reading very short books and stories. I still have my tattered copy of "The Cat in the Hat" that I read about a million times that year. As we learned more words and grammar, I loved seeing how I could understand a little more each time I read it.4th grade was a big leap for me in English. We started writing more, having conversations, and even gave short presentations. I'm really proud of the autobiography I wrote last year about my family, hobbies, and dreams. Presenting it in frontof my English class was nerve-wracking but also boosted my confidence.Which brings me to now - the halfway point of 5th grade. English is one of my favorite classes and I've grown so much. Just this week, we read the novel "Charlotte's Web" which I'm pretty sure is my favorite book ever! I'm in awe that at 10 years old, I can understand thoughts, feelings, and life lessons through reading in a second language.Honestly, when I look back, learning English from such a young age has been incredible. Immersing myself little by little each year made it feel very natural. It wasn't overwhelming or stressful. Instead, English became fun and rewarding.The earlier you start, the easier it gets. The sounds, words, and phrases just seem to stick now after practicing them for so many years. I may only be 10, but I've been building strong English foundations since I was 6 years old.And it's those foundations that have opened up so many doors for me already. I can read books from around the world, not just translations. I can understand English movies, shows, and songs without subtitles. When my family travels, I'm becoming a huge helper with basics like ordering food or askingfor directions. Heck, I can even start teaching my younger brother some English now!Speaking of teaching, I have to give a huge thank you to all my amazing English teachers over the years. Their passion, creativity, and encouragement made me fall in love with this language.From Mrs. Torres in 1st grade who made learning the ABCs feel like playing a game...to Mrs. Martinez in 2nd grade who fransformed our classroom into whatever vocabulary scene we were learning each week...to Mr. Wilson in 3rd grade who had my brain growing every time I read aloud from his classroom library...to Mrs. Baker in 4th grade who cheered me on during my very first presentation...and finally Mrs. Robinson this year who has me devouring novels and expanding my writing abilities.These teachers didn't just teach English, they taught me invaluable skills like public speaking, creativity, comprehension, and confidence. We'd do all sorts of fun activities like singing songs, acting out stories, and playing games. My favorite was a game where we had to run across the classroom and slap a flashcard with the correct word on it. A little competitive, but so fun!By the end of 1st grade, I could have simple conversations in English. I remember proudly showing off to my parents by ordering my food in English when we went out for pizza. They just smiled and nodded, but I felt like such a rockstar!In 2nd and 3rd grade, we started reading and writing more. We read lots of cool storybooks and worked on skills like spelling, grammar, and vocabulary. I particularly loved the books with colorful pictures and fun characters. One of my favorites was the story of the Hungry Caterpillar who ate everything in sight!Writing was harder for me at first. Remembering capital letters, periods, and all the spelling rules made my head spin. But my teachers were so supportive and would go over my work1-on-1 with me. Over time, I got better at putting my ideas down on paper. By 3rd grade, I could write simple stories and even pen a letter to my cousin who lived far away.4th grade was a big leap forward. We started learning about the past, present, and future tenses of verbs. Memorizing things like irregular verbs ("I go" vs "I went") felt impossible initially. Butrepetition and practice made it stick. Before I knew it, I could describe what I did last weekend or what I'll do over my next school break.That year, we also read our first novel as a class - Charlotte's Web. I'll never forget that Spider's amazing words of wisdom: "It is terribly difficult to maintain one's self-respect if you are a candystripe-leotard hotdog." Such beautiful figurative language to describe! I was in awe at how expressive the English language could be.Which brings me to now - the halfway point of 5th grade. We're working hard on more advanced grammar, like perfect verb tenses ("I have been learning English for 5 years"). We're also reading harder books and writing multi-paragraph essays. Just last week, I had to write a persuasive essay on why school uniforms are a good idea. I made some strong arguments, if I do say so myself!At this point, I feel pretty fluent in English. I can understand almost everything my teachers say. I can read chapter books without too much difficulty. And I can write and share my thoughts clearly, even if I still make some silly mistakes here and there.English is such a fun, vibrant language and I'm so glad I stuck with it these past few years. Sure, there were some struggles and setbacks along the way. Like the time I accidentally called my teacher "mom" (that was embarrassing!). Or when I bombed my spelling test on "friend" and "school." But I never gave up.What helped me most was my amazing teachers who made learning interactive and engaging. They were always so patient and reassuring when I felt discouraged. And my parents' support was huge too - quizzing me, reading with me, and celebrating all my "wins" big and small.Looking ahead, I'm really excited to continue growing my English skills in middle school and high school. Maybe I'll join the debate club or take a creative writing course? Or maybe I'll become an English tutor myself one day and pay it forward. For example, when learning words like "run", "jump", "skip", she would act them out. Or she would hold up pictures and have us repeat the words over and over. Using multiple senses made it much easier to memorize new English vocabulary.As I got towards 3rd and 4th grade, we started reading more books, watching video clips, and having conversations in English. At this point, it became really important to keep practicing speaking out loud as much as possible. In the beginning, I was really shy about speaking English because I was afraid of making mistakes. Breaking longer writing assignments into smaller steps made them feel manageable.As I'm sure many of you can relate, one of the biggest frustrations of learning a new language is vocabulary. There are just SO many words to memorize! Some techniques that really worked well for me were using flashcards, watching English TV shows or movies, reading English books, and playing English vocabulary games or apps. Getting exposed to English vocabulary in lots of different contexts helped reinforce those words in my brain.Looking back now as a 5th grader, I'm really proud of how far I've come with my English skills. But I know I still have a long way to go before I'm fully fluent. I may stumble over words sometimes or have trouble expressing certain ideas. My accent probably isn't perfect. But I'm going to keep working hard, keep practicing, and not get discouraged. Every day I'm getting a little bit better.Learning a new language isn't easy, but it opens up amazing opportunities. We get bored really easily just sitting and listening to the teacher talk. Having activities where we can practice speaking, like role-playing conversations or telling stories, makes it a lot more engaging. It also helps us remember vocabulary and grammar better when we use it ourselves instead of just reading from a book.Another thing that's really helpful is using things we're interested in as part of the lessons. My English teacher sometimes has us read simple stories, articles or watch videos about our favorite games, sports, or TV shows. It makes the material way more interesting when it connects to things we actually care about. She also lets us pick topics we want to learn about sometimes and finds readings or activities related to that.Games are also a great way to practice English skills in a fun way. Simple games like hangman for spelling and vocabulary, or having little competitions or races for things like putting sentences in the right order. The friendly competition makes it more exciting. Even just throwing a soft ball around the class andwhoever catches it has to answer a question in English - anything to get us up and moving around.Visual aids and props are also really useful, especially for us visual learners. Seeing pictures along with new words helps them stick in my brain better. Using gestures and acting things out also makes lessons more memorable. My teacher sometimes brings in objects like fruits or toys and has us describe them and talk about them, which is much more concrete than just a list of vocabulary words.Getting to use technology that we're familiar with is cool too. Occasionally letting us use educational apps, games or videos as part of the lesson makes it feel more modern and relevant. Taking brief breaks for a quick online quiz or activity lets usre-focus when our attention starts drifting.One thing I've noticed is that a lot of us feel self-conscious about speaking English, because we're afraid of making mistakes and being laughed at or feeling embarrassed. An important thing for teachers is creating a supportive environment where we feel safe to practice and that mistakes are no big deal. Celebrating our efforts, not just correct answers, and being patient and encouraging when we're struggling goes a long way.I also think bringing in elements of our own cultures makes the learning more meaningful and personal. Learning about how English connects to our own languages and traditions helps make it feel relevant. Sharing aspects of our cultures through stories, food, crafts or customs in class brings engagement and pride.Finally, I'd say keeping a good energy level and sense of humor as a teacher is key! We can tell when a teacher is bored or frustrated, and it makes us tune out. But an animated, patient teacher who laughs with us and keeps things light and fun keeps us hooked. Using silly voices, props, or jokes (appropriate ones!) helps too.In the end, the most important thing is finding ways to make sure we're actively engaged and having fun while still being challenged at the right level. 尊敬的各位领导、老师:大家中午好!
首先感谢领导给我们提供了这样一个教学交流的平台,今天我有幸站在这里和大家一起分享这些年我对教育教学积累的感想和做法,谈不上什么经验,如果我的发言中有不当之处,请各位老师批评指正。

叶圣陶先生说过,“教学有法,教无定法,贵在得法。

”在我过去十多年的教学生涯里,我始终笃信“教学不仅仅是在课堂之中”的信条,坚持把课前、课中和课后进行有机结合的全过程教学方法,身体力行,并在实践中不断总结提升。

一、课前:是教师布阵施法的策略准备,是提高学生兴趣的试金点、提高课堂效率的魔法师,是克服困难的信心保证。

所以我经常会在网上寻求一些方法,解决自己遇到的困难, 不求做到最好,只求比昨天做得更好!
在教学中我一向坚持积极主动的自主学习方法,让孩子们特意下载电子词典或者纸制词典,所以会特意布置预习作业,让他们在自己的能力范围内先自行解决问题,再在老师的帮助下克服问题,这样为孩子们长期的英语学习打下良好的坚实基础,也为未来漫长的英语学习道路提供自我钻研精神,这是孩子们学习道路上最有效的学习方法。

因为我
坚信再好的教学方法都比不上自我钻研。

二、课中:是教师传道受业的实验田,提高教学质量的重要环节就是抓好课堂教学,保证40分钟的教学质量。

不走过场,不炒回锅肉,我尽量要求自己做好如下几方面:
1、课堂教学时要有健康的心态,勿将个人情感情因素带到课堂。

影响良好的师生环境。

2、尽可能的吸引学生的注意力。

让学生时刻关注自己,时刻注视自己,才有可能让学生的思想不跑偏,集中精力学习。

3、搭建良好的师生互动平台,及时了解学生课堂学习的动态。

4、教学中加强小组合作,让老师没讲懂的,通过合作的方式,去弄清楚问题的所在。

5、关注差生,鼓励他们在课堂上多发言多回答问题,再通过鼓励,提升他们学习的积极性,提高他们的兴趣。

6、提升学生的自信。

自信是一个人成功与否的关键环节,赵晓波曾经说过:”自信的力量,在于即使自处逆境,亦能帮助你扬起前进的风帆,自信,是成功的起点,是人生的坚强支柱。

没有自信就相当于精神已消退,没有与人生抗衡的力量。

课堂上我坚持培养学生的自信,让他们从中找到自己学习英语的一股底气和信心保障。

三、课后:
1、课后首先是要培养学生良好的朗读、背诵英语课文的习惯。

"书读百遍,其义自见"不仅适用于语文教学,英语教学也不例外。

只有反复朗读,多多背诵,才能积累大量的语言信息,丰富学生的英语词汇量,在阅读、写作时,信手拈来,有话可说。

2、课后是要注重培养学生记忆单词的习惯。

学习英语从来就没有诀窍,靠的是勤劳和记忆。

通过分节法、自然拼读法,以及联想法,让学生很好的参与单词记忆,使困难的单词简单化,简单的单词明白化,达到自我提升,自我进步的理想境地。

3、课后培养一支踏实肯干的小干部。

差生是每个班不可避免的现象,让这只精干的小干部鼎力相助会减少很多时间,还能起到很好的作用。

课后我不断的加强学习,看教学碟子,听优质课,向优秀的课堂看齐,向优秀的老师看齐,力求让自己班级的学生展示更出色的自己。

课后我还经常与不厌其烦的向班主任讨教取经,遇到棘手的学生,如何应对,如何与家长沟通,让他们不厌烦,又自愿的和我走在一条线上共同管理他们的孩子。

也许所有的方法老师们都经常使用,我只是侥幸自己遇到更好的团体而已。

在这里要强调的是:所有的教学原则和方法必须落到实处才能生根发芽,否则再好的方法就是一张白纸,空谈,而且学生还不会相信你,使教学管理举步维艰。

以上就是我所说的课前、课中、课后三结合的全过程教学管理方法。

说实话,这个方法对在座的各位来说,既不时髦,也不“高大上”,但我在这里最想说的是:大道至简!只要我们每天坚持把简单的事情做好,这就是最大的“不简单”!只要我们持之以恒的坚持,并不断总结改进,那么难教的学生就会越来越少.
这就是我的方法,坚持自己的原则,完善管理,与时俱进,做更好的自己。

这就是我的经验,一个最没有“高度”的简单经验!感谢大家的聆听!如有不妥之出,还望大家提出宝贵的意见,我将不断完善自己。
