Excitement filled the air as friends and family gathered, eager to enjoy the delicious food and the camaraderie of the occasion. The preparation for the barbecue had begun early in the morning. The aroma of freshly ground spices and marinades filled the kitchen, a tantalizing prelude to the feast that awaited. Chicken, lamb, and fish were meticulously prepared, each piece coated in a unique blend of flavors that promised to tantalize the taste buds.As the guests arrived, they were greeted with smilesand offered refreshing drinks. The laughter and chatter created a lively atmosphere that was the perfect backdropfor the upcoming barbecue. Children played merrily on the lawn, while adults conversed and caught up on each other's lives. The highlight of the party was, of course, the barbecue itself. The flames of the grill licked at the meat, turningit into a succulent, smoky delicacy. The sizzling sound of the food cooking added to the ambiance, and the aroma of grilled meat filled the air, making mouths water.Plates were piled high with grilled meats, fresh salads, and homemade bread. Everyone dug in with relish, enjoying the flavors that had been so carefully prepared.

英语笔记-烤肉Party2014-2-27 9:00 类别:英语口语来源:enguo 责编:meten1.You can come over and I'll buzz you in.

「帮你开门」这个动作许多人不经思考就会说,open the door for you但严格说来,open the door for you指的是你亲自去把门打开。

I'll buzz you in." Could you buzz me in?"2.May I have a glass of water?

所以你跟别人要一杯水,比较好的讲法应该是a glass of water,而非a cup of water.

Do you have a glass?"(你有玻璃杯吗?)

1. You can come over and I’ll buzz you in.

“帮你开门”这个动作许多⼈不经思考就会说,open the door for you 但严格说来,open the door for you 指的是你亲⾃去把门打开。

反过来如果你去拜访别⼈,则可以说,“Could you buzz me in?” 2. May I have a glass of water?

所以你跟别⼈要⼀杯⽔,⽐较好的讲法应该是 a glass of water,⽽⾮ a cup of water.

因为我就看过很多次有⼈问,“Do you have a glass?”(你有玻璃杯吗?)

有⼀次坐我隔壁的乘客回答说,“A glass of water.”

1. We have to clean the grill before we start a fire.

We have to flip this guy over!"

)" 而不说 "I have done."

3. Don't overcook the chicken.

Turn down the gas. The steak is burnt.

The steak is still bloody inside. Maybe you should cook it through.

)"
4. Anyone need a veggie burger? Here is the patty.

My boyfriend is vegetarian so we only go to veggie restaurants.

5. This tender, juicy steak really hits the spot.

Hit the spot

It really hits the spot."

6. Eat up!

所以你可以跟朋友说 "Do you want to go out to eat?

例如你可以说 "Computer games eat up my time.
