It's like the heart and lifeblood of our whole community in a way. The river gives us a constant source of fresh water to drink and use for bathing and watering plants. The ducks and other animals rely on the river habitat to live and breed. And of course, the river just makes our town look so much prettier and more inviting as it gently flows along.But as nice as the river is, I've also learned that we humans need to be good stewards and take care of it. My teachers have taught us kids the importance of keeping our waterways clean.In fact, my 5th grade class did a school project last year on river conservation.
