Ask whether your child’s classroom behavior has changed or if there are any other warning signs. You might also consult a school dean, counselor or other school contact. 73 .

5w1h(who, what, when, where, which, how)等因素来进行锁定。

How we look and how we appear to others probably worries us more when we are in our teens or early twenties than at any other time in our life. Few of us are content to accept ourselves as we are, and few are brave enough to ignore the trends of fashion. Most fashion magazines or TV advertisements try to persuade us that we should dress in a certain way or behave in a certain manner. If we do, they tell us, we will be able to meet new people with confidence and deal with every situation confidently and without embarrassment. Changing fashion, of course, does not apply just to dress. A barber today does not cut a boy’s hair in the same way as he used to, and girls do not make up in the same way as their mothers and grandmothers did. The advertisers show us the latest fashionable styles and we are constantly under pressure to follow the fashion in case our friends think we are odd or dull. What causes fashions to change? Sometimes convenience or practical necessity or just the fancy of an influential person can establish a fashion. Take hats for example. In cold climates, early buildings were cold inside, so people wore hats indoors as well as outside. In recent times, the late President Kennedy caused a depression in the American hat industry by not wearing hats, and more American men followed his example. There is also a cyclical(周期性的) pattern in fashion. In the 1920s in Europe and America, short skirts became fashionable. After World War II, they dropped to ankle length. Then they got shorter and shorter until the miniskirt was in fashion. After a few more years, skirts became longer again.Today, society is much freer and easier than it used to be. It is no longer necessary to dress like everyone else. Within reason, you can dress as you like or do your hair the way you like instead of the way you should because it is the fashion. The popularity of jeans and the “untidy〞 look seems to be a reaction against the increasingly expensive fashion of the top fashion houses. At the same time, appearance is still important in certain circumstances and then we must choose our clothes carefully. It would be foolish to go to an interview for a job in a law firm wearing jeans and a sweater, and it would be discourteous(失礼的) to visit some distinguished scholar looking as if we were going to the beach or a night club. However, you need never feel depressed if you don’t look like the latest fashion photo. Look around you and you’ll see that no one else does either!

A. Use business recordingsB. Speak slowly and clearlyC. Learn telephone mannersD. Practice often with a friendE. Always be considerate of your friendsF. Make sure you understand the other speakerTelephone tipsIf the phone rings and someone speaks in English, don’t be afraid to answer it! The fear of talking on the phone in a second language will disappear if you practice often. Here are a few tips for helping you improve your ability to answer a call in English.2Listening to someone speaking in a second language over the telephone can be very challenging because you cannot see the person you are trying to hear. However, it may be even more difficult for the person you are talking with to understand you. You may not realize that your pronunciation isn’t clear because your teacher and fellow students know and understand you. Pay special attention to your weak areas of your pronunciation when you are on the phone.2Don’t pretend to understand everything you hear over the telephone. Even native speakers ask each other to repeat and confirm information from time to time. This is especially important if you are taking a message for someone else. Learn the appropriate expressions that English speakers use when they don’t hear something properly. Don’t be afraid to remind the person to slow down more than once. Keepyour telephone in an area that is away from other noise distractions such as a radio or television.23._______________.Ask another student to practice talking on the phone with you. You might choose one night a week and take turns phoning each other at a certain time. Try to talk for at least fifteen minutes. You can talk socially, or role play different scenarios in a business environment. The most important thing about practicing telephone English is that you are not able to see each other’s mouths.24. _______________.There are many ways to get free telephone English practice. After business hours, you can call and listen to recorded messages. Write down what you hear the first time, and then call back and check if your notes are accurate. Make sure you have a pen handy so that you can repeat the information and check your comprehension.25._______________.The way that you speak to your best friend on the phone is very different from the way you should speak to someone in a business setting. Many speakers make the mistake of being too direct on the telephone. It is possible that the person on the other line will think that you are being rude on purpose if you don’t use formal language in certain situations. Sometimes just one word such as could or may is necessary in order to sound polite. Take the time to learn how to answer the phone and say goodbye in a polite manner, as well as all the various ways one can start and end a conversation casually.Listening to someone on the telephone is like listening to a taped recording in class. The only difference is that you have to talk back! Follow the tips above and remember that practice makes perfect!

It pretty much does one thing: allows people to "tweet" what they're up to (or what they're thinking about) in 140 characters or less.Since we're sticking with the "less is more" aesthetic, I'm just going to give you 5 Twitter tips instead of the 10 I could have stretched this into.61. _____________Say whatever you feel like saying, but remember that whatever you write could exist in the digital universe forever.

5w1h( who, what,when, where,which,how)等因素来进行锁定。

Lynne Nagata. Lynne, aged 65, once worked in a kindergarten. She is now a housewife, helpingher daughter with her housework on weekdays. She is looking for a p art-time job.

Teacher Needed: Tommy’s Kindergarten needs 2 teachers/ trainers to help with classesfrom 9to 3 . Applicants should have appropriate licenses. For mor e informationvisit Tommy’s Kindergarten in Leicester Square No. 56.Part-time work available:We are looking for retired adults who would like to work part-time attheweekeResponsibilitiesinclude answering the telephones and giving customers information. For more information contact us by calling345-674132.

如 joined by=linked by;3、留意数字(包括时间)。

A: GoingB: Been.A: BigB: Small. A: Are you going fishingB: No. I have been fishing.A: Have you caught any big fishB: No. I only caught some small fish.

A. Soul surfer portrays the comeback spirit and faith of shark attac k survivor andchampion surfer Bethany Hamilton.E. Although it is a better fantasy than a comedy, this movie never fully embraces either side of the dramatic types and ends up a ba stard of mixed blood.F.
