An interesting Story/ Film

Have you ever heard of the tale about the Wooden Horse of Troy. It happened in ancient Greece. The Greeks tried to capture the city Troy for ten years, but failed. Then they thought of a trick. They made a big wooden horse and hid themselves in it. After their enemies pulled the wooden horse into the city, they climbed out of the wooden horse at night and beat their enemies. That’s really an interesting story.

Autumn

There are four seasons in a year. Autumn is my favourite season. It is neither too hot like summer nor too cool like winter. It’s very cool. Zit’s time for us to fly kites. Autumn is colourful. The leaves on the trees turn yellow, red, brown or orange. Autumn os also golden. It’s the harvest season. We can enjoy different kinds of fruits. In Autumn, we have a traditional festival --- Mid-autumn Festival. During that time, we always get together and enjoy the beautiful moon in the sky.

Cormants

Cormorants are large black birds. They are about a metre long and good at fishing. They are also good swimmers. They can dive down 25 metres and stay under water for up to two minutes. So they are used to help fishermen fish. This is a traditional Chinese skill. It is very interesting. But now we seldom see such way of fishing.

My favourite drink

There are many kinds of drinks in the world. But my favourite drink is green tea. It is really a cool drink. I enjoy the taste and colour. I drink it every day. I like drinking green tea while I am working, reading and watching TV. I also enjoy drinking it with my friends when we are chatting together. In my view, drinking green tea is also good for our health. It has become an important part of people’s life in China.

Keep pets

Nowadays many people like to keep pets, so do I. Last year my father bought me a parrot called Billy. It is from Africa. There are three colours on his body, red, blue and yellow. That makes it look very beautiful. Billy is a clever bird. It can say many simple words like “ Hello !”“ How are you ? ” GoodBye.” . Now it can also say some words in Shanghai language. What a funny bird Billy is.
