It's called The Shawshank Redemption and it's seriously the best movie ever made. I know I'm just a kid, but trust me, this movie is amazing! The movie is about this guy named Andy Dufresne who gets sent to prison for a really long time, even though he didn't actually do the crime he was accused of. Can you imagine being stuck in prison for decades when you were completely innocent? That would be so unfair and horrible! When Andy first gets to the prison, it's this brutal, scary place run by mean guards and criminals who have been locked up for years. The warden who runs the prison is especially nasty and corrupt. But Andy doesn't let the harsh environment break his spirit.Despite being in such a terrible situation, Andy remains hopeful, smart, and resourceful. He befriends a older prisoner named Red by helping him get cold beers and other comforts from the outside world. Red can't believe Andy is so calm and positive in prison. He narrates a lot of the movie and has the most amazing gravelly voice!Slowly but surely, Andy uses his brains and integrity to earn the respect of his fellow inmates and even some of the guards. He helps the prison librarian get funding for books, he tutors inmates to get their high school degrees, and he even helps the guards with taxes and financial stuff. Andy is just an all-around good, standup guy.But Andy never forgets his dream of being free and proving his innocence on the outside. He spends years chipping away at the walls of his prison cell, little by little. He is so patient and determined, it's really inspiring how he never gives up.The movie builds and builds to this incredible climax where Andy finally escapes from the hellish Shawshank Prison in one of the most clever, suspenseful scenes I've ever watched. I was on the edge of my seat cheering for him! When he made it out and was finally a free man again, I felt such a huge wave of happiness and relief. In the end, Andy gets away scot-free and the cruel warden gets arrested for his crimes instead. It's such a satisfying conclusion where good triumphs over evil. And Andy's friend Red is inspired to keep hope alive until he also gets paroled years later.I can't get enough of this movie! I've watched it like ten times already. It has everything - high stakes, memorable characters, inspiration, suspense, friendship, and justice being served in the most clever ways. The acting is phenomenal, the script is brilliant, and the whole story just sucks you in.Whenever I'm having a tough day, I think about Andy Dufresne chipping away at those walls for decades and never losing faith that he would taste freedom again. If he could get through being wrongfully imprisoned for most of his life and still stay positive, then I can make it through whatever small challenges I face. Andy's story gives me hope, determination and courage. So that's why The Shawshank Redemption is hands-down my favorite movie, and I really think you need to watch it too! It will make you laugh, cry tears of joy, be happier, and appreciate your own freedom more. This movie has so much heart and inspiration packed into it.Do yourself a favor and spend a couple hours getting absorbed into the world of Shawshank and the indomitable spirit of Andy Dufresne. You'll come away from it feeling grateful, motivated and totally entertained. It's simply a masterpiece of a film! Let me know when you watch it so we can discuss all the amazing scenes and moments together.Your friend,[Your Name]篇2Hi! I want to tell you about this amazing movie called The Shawshank Redemption. It's one of my all-time favorites and I think you would really like it too!The movie is about this guy named Andy Dufresne, who gets sent to prison for a crime he didn't actually commit. He gets sentenced to life in the Shawshank prison. But Andy never loses hope that one day he will prove his innocence and become a free man again. When Andy first gets to Shawshank, he has a really hard time. The prison guards are mean bullies and some of the other inmates are scary too. There's this one inmate named Red who islike the leader of the prison community. At first, Red doesn't trust Andy at all.But over time, Andy earns respect from Red and the other prisoners by being smart, resilient, and doing nice things for people. He helps the guards get beer for their party, he tutors inmates to get their high school diplomas, and he even protects a guy from getting assaulted. Andy never lets the guards and prisoners get him down.My favorite part is when Andy gets a bunch of records from the community college and broadcasts opera music over the prison loudspeakers! It's so funny to see the prisoners and guards frozen, listening to beautiful opera for the first time. They're all confused but also amazed. That scene made me laugh so much.Andy's friend Red says "Andy crawled through a river of mud and came out clean on the other side." What he means is that even though Andy went through the terrible unfair experience of being in prison, he kept his spirit and human dignity intact. He never let the prison system make him become a worse person.Towards the end of the movie, Andy finally escapes from the horrible Shawshank prison by crawling through a tunnel for 500 yards! When the evil warden realizes Andy is gone, he goes crazytrying to find him. But Andy is already far away, free at last after 19 years in prison. The ending is my favorite part. Andy leaves clues for Red to join him once Red gets paroled. So Red finally gets released from prison and follows the clues to a beautiful beach in Mexico where Andy is waiting for him. The look on Red's face when he sees Andy free and happy on the beach is just the best! This movie has so many important lessons. It shows that you should never give up hope, even when everything seems hopeless. It shows that you can make friends and positively impact people's lives even in the darkest of situations. And it shows that if you keep your spirit and human dignity, you can overcome injustice and unfairness. The Shawshank Redemption has amazing characters that you can't help but care about. It mixes drama with friendship, hope, injustice, perseverance, and a little bit of humor too. The story just sticks with you long after watching it. There's a reason why it's considered one of the greatest movies of all time!So those are all the reasons why I loooove The Shawshank Redemption and think you need to watch it immediately! Once you see it, I just know you'll be hooked too. We can re-watch ittogether and analyze every little detail. Get ready for an unforgettable movie experience!篇3The Best Movie Ever - The Shawshank RedemptionHey friend! I have to tell you about this amazing movie I just watched called The Shawshank Redemption. It's seriously the best movie ever and you have to see it!It's a really old movie that came out way before we were born in 1994. But it's a classic and so good. The story is about this guy named Andy Dufresne who gets sent to prison for a crime he didn't actually commit. Can you imagine being stuck in jail when you're innocent? That would be so unfair and horrible!Andy has to go to this scary prison called Shawshank. The guards there are really mean bullies who treat the prisoners terribly. The prisoners have to live in these tiny cells and work hard labor jobs all day. It seems like the worst place in the world. But Andy is super smart and doesn't let the awful situation get him down. He's always hopeful and makes friends with some of the other nice prisoners like Red, an older guy who can getthings brought into the prison. Red and Andy become best friends which is really sweet.Over the years, Andy uses his brains to help out the mean prison workers by doing jobs like taxes and financial stuff for them. He also helps out his friends who are prisoners too. Andy never stops believing he will get out of Shawshank one day and be free again.Without giving too much away, Andy comes up with this incredible plan to finally escape from the prison. It's so clever and exciting when he does it! He outwits all the stupid guards and mean workers. Andy is brave and never gives up on his dream of being free.My favorite part is at the end when Andy escapes and finally gets to go to this beautiful beach in Mexico like he always dreamed of. He's free at last and gets to start an amazing new life doing whatever he wants. It's so inspiring and makes you feel like you can overcome anything no matter how hard life gets. There are lots of great lessons and messages in the movie too. Like how you should never give up hope, be brave and clever, value friendships, and always fight for freedom. If you work hard and are a good person, good things will happen to you eventually just like they did for Andy. The acting is amazing too, especially by the actors who play Andy and Red. The movie is over 2 hours long but it doesn't feel like it at all because the story is so gripping and goes by so fast. You'll be on the edge of your seat the whole time wondering what will happen next!I wish I could explain how incredible this movie is, but you'll just have to trust me and watch it for yourself. I want to tell you about the most amazing movie I've ever seen. It's called The Shawshank Redemption and you just have to watch it! I know the name sounds a bit weird, but trust me, this movie is the best. It's kind of a long movie, almost 2 and a half hours. But you won't even notice the time going by because it's so good! The story follows a man named Andy Dufresne who goes to prison for a crime he didn't actually commit. Can you imagine being stuck in prison when you're completely innocent? That would be so scary!Andy gets sent to this tough prison called Shawshank. The warden who runs the prison is super mean and corrupt. A lot of the guards are bullies too and make the prisoners' lives miserable. The living conditions are terrible - the cells are small and cramped, the food is gross, and some of the other inmates are scary tough guys you wouldn't want to mess with.Despite all of those challenges, Andy never loses hope. He's one of the nicest, smartest, and most resilient characters I've ever seen in a movie. Over the many years he's locked up, Andy uses his brains to make life a tiny bit better at Shawshank. He becomes really good friends with another inmate named Red,who's doing a life sentence. Their friendship is one of the best parts of the movie.Andy is always respectful to the guards and stays out of trouble, which makes some of the meaner ones suspicious of him. There's this one guard named Captain Hadley who has it out for Andy and bullies him a lot, which isn't fair at all. Andy could give up and let the horrible place bring him down, but he doesn't! He holds onto his dream of being free one day no matter what.I don't want to spoil too much, but there are some crazy suspenseful scenes where Andy has to outsmart the evil warden and his goons who are up to no good. The warden is obsessed with this idea that Andy is trying to pull one over on him somehow. Andy is definitely one of the bravest and craftiest movie heroes I've ever seen! What I love most about the movie is the message that you should never give up hope, no matter how difficult your situation is. Andy goes through all this torture in prison for decades, but he still wakes up every day with a positive attitude and big dreams. He's a true inspiration!Near the end, there's this amazing scene where Andy finally escapes in one of the most clever and satisfying ways I've ever witnessed. I was cheering so loud when it happened! The endinggives you such a warm feeling of happiness after watching Andy go through all that suffering. He absolutely deserves his freedom. But the movie is about more than just Andy's amazing journey. It's about the power of friendship and having people in your life who truly care about you. The scenes of Andy talking through the vents to his friend Red always make me smile. Despite being locked up and kept apart, their bond is unbreakable.Red has some great quotes that really stick with you after watching the movie too. At one point, he says, "I have no idea to this day what those two Italian ladies were singing about." It's such a funny line and one of those little details that makes the characters feel so real.Overall, The Shawshank Redemption has everything I want in a great movie. It's got awesome characters, an engaging plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat, heartwarming friendship, and an ending that makes you want to cheer out loud! You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll be rooting for Andy from beginning to end.So those are all the reasons why The Shawshank Redemption is my favorite movie ever. You absolutely have to see it! Maybewe can watch it together at your house this weekend? I'll even bring some snacks. No matter how many times I watch it, I know this one will never get old. It's a true classic!篇5My Favorite Movie: The Shawshank RedemptionHi friend! I want to tell you about my all-time favorite movie. It's called The Shawshank Redemption and it's seriously the best movie ever made! I know it might seem weird for a kid like me to love an old prison movie, but just trust me on this one. Once you watch it, you'll understand why I can't stop talking about it!The movie starts in 1947 when a guy named Andy Dufresne gets sent to Shawshank Prison for life. He was accused of murdering his wife and her boyfriend, but Andy says he's innocent. In prison, he has to deal with mean guards, brutal inmates, and disgusting living conditions. It seems like a dark and depressing place. But Andy never loses hope or gives up trying篇6My Favorite Movie - The Shawshank RedemptionHi friend! I want to tell you about my all-time favorite movie that you just have to see. It's called The Shawshank Redemption and it's seriously the best movie ever made! The movie starts out with this guy named Andy who gets sent to prison for a crime he didn't actually do. He gets sent to this scary place called Shawshank Prison to live with a bunch of other prisoners. At first, Andy seems really scared and sad to be stuck in prison, which makes sense because it's a terrible place. But then Andy meets this other prisoner named Red. Red has been in Shawshank for a super long time already and he knows all the tricks for surviving in prison. Red becomes Andy's best friend and he really helps Andy get through his tough times in Shawshank.Even though Andy is innocent and shouldn't be in prison at all, he doesn't let it get him down. Instead of feeling sorry for himself, Andy works really hard to make the best of his terrible situation. He gets a prison job helping out the mean prison guards and he even helps some of the other prisoners get an education by giving them beer in exchange for helping him!Speaking of beer, there's this one part of the movie that's so funny! A bunch of the prisoners are working outside to roof a building. But they notice that one of the prison guards has awhole case of beer bottles with him while he's napping. So the prisoners scramble to get the beer and they end up having this awesome beer party right under the noses of the sleeping guards! It's such a hilarious and silly scene. But even with enjoying some small pleasures like beer, life in Shawshank is still pretty tough and awful for Andy and his friends. The prison guards are super mean bullies who hurt the prisoners for no reason. And the guy in charge of the whole prison is this evil warden who doesn't care about being fair at all. That's why my favorite part of the entire movie is at the very end when Andy finally escapes from Shawshank! He spends almost twenty years coming up with this elaborate and brilliant plan to break out, and it's just so exciting and intense when he finally gets out using a tunnel and a rope. I was practically jumping up and down in my seat cheering for Andy when he made his escape! After breaking out of prison, Andy goes to live in a beautiful beach town in Mexico. He digs up this old box that he had buried years ago which is filled with cold hard cash to start his new life as a free man. Andy gets to live out his dream of being free and it's such a happy and inspiring ending.I really can't recommend The Shawshank Redemption enough! It has everything a great movie needs - awesome characters you really care about, funny and heartwarming moments, edge-of-your-seat thrills, and such an emotionally satisfying ending. The Shawshank Redemption teaches you that hope is a good thing, no matter how hard life gets. As long as you stay determined and never give up like Andy did, you can overcome anything.I really hope you'll watch this amazing movie soon. It's quite long at over 2 hours, but it's so worth it from start to finish. Just make sure to have a box of tissues handy because this movie will make you go through every single emotion! You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll cheer - The Shawshank Redemption is simply a masterpiece that will stick with you forever.Let me know what you think after watching it! I'm sure you'll totally agree that it's one of the greatest movies of all time.Your friend,[Your name]。

On the contrary, they arise from the inner needs of human beings, thepursuit of eternal values, and the inspection and discovery of the constantlychanging objective world. And only then will God, or religion and faith, guideyou through your own salvation and your own breakthrough. Ive been readingbuddhist altar sutra, six ancestors huineng founded to "sex" sees the Chinesezen Buddhism, the root is also mastered chan is no longer a way, a kind oftheory, a kind of discipline, is no longer the outward things, but of lifeexists in the deep hearts core, which reflects the rationality of religiousnature. Unlike eastern Buddhas who seek ethereality and transcendence, WesternGods may be more fixated on original sin and redemption, but both are productsof the human mind. Andy with their wisdom and perseverance, finally completed the miracle ofthe escape, and let the warden get the deserved punishment. After he got out ofprison, why did he leave instead of following the usual Hollywood logic andtrying to prove his innocence? Because God exists within. Sin and non-sin, at the level of the soul, thereis no need to prove but to constantly examine oneself! When asked again if hehad been reinvented before being paroled, Rhett said frankly, "Reinvented? Idont quite understand the meaning of this word. I used to repent every day, notbecause I was here, or because you thought I should repent. I tried to tell theyoung man who had sinned in the past what was right and wrong, but he could notfind it. Only theold man was left with white hair. The Shawshank Redemptionpointed out the way to salvation. God walks with the human soul at alltimes! In the name of religion, doctrine, law and even justice, many people inmodern society, like The warden NORTON, have lost their basic honesty andcharacter as a human being in the name of personal and group self-interest, inthe name of exculpation, rhetoric and sophistry. When a man is accustomed toacting and without introspection, he has fallen into the hell of eternaldamnation, let alone redemption!肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇2Based on the Stephen King (non-horror) novella “Rita Hayworth and theShawshank Redemption”,this is a simple story of hope made remarkable by theinteraction between the two lead characters. Both Tim Robbins and Morgan Freemando a fine job in terms of making their roles genuine and appealing, and also inthe way they work so well together. The production values throughout areoutstanding, but this is not a “fancy” film. Rather, it sticks to the story itis telling without resorting to flashy tricks to grab the audience’s attention.Although there is violence, some of it extreme, it is necessary to show the kindof place the prison is and is certainly not gratuitous. The main theme is hope, not despair, and the violence serves only as a backdrop to that message.Unashamedly a feelgood movie, by the end one is wishing only that it wouldcontinue for a few more moments.肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇3Today,I will introduce a movie to you know this movieWho have watched this movie beforeOk, one question for you. Just imagine you are caught by police one day for some reason. All the evidence show that you have killed someone, but actually youare innocent, somebody else is responsible. Finally, you are sent into prison for a sentence of several years. What will you do No evidence can prove your innocence. All of you can think about this question, because it does happen in our real life. what do you thinkNow this happens to the hero in this s see what the hero will do. This is our hero,Andy, a banker , whowas wrongly accused of murdering his wife, and is sentenced to two consecutive life sentences at is Norton, thewarden,a cruel man . Here is Red ,if youre sensitive enough, you can find Red is the first three letters of Redemption, rightRed is rejected for parole after having served twenty years of his and Andy gradually became friends. Red is able to get some small goods for the prisoners, so Andy asked Red for a rock hammer because of his interest in carving rocks with this hammer, Andy escaped from the is amazing. Andy dug a big hole on the wall for 19 years and hid it with a poster, just beyond our imagination. He crawled through 500 yards and then a pipe full of shitsmelling dirty water lly he got freedom. You know, the freedom is waiting for you out of theshawshank. Consequently, If i were Andy ,i can break through the dirty water. But what about 19 years to dig a big you do it. Another thing is , do you think Andy is just keeping digging every day during the 19 years Of course not. I think this is the most amazing part of the movie. He played music, every man felt free;he expanded the library by writing one letter per weeks to the government to ask for money to rebuild the liberary; he helped T ommy to read from ABCs. Whats more,he helped the guards do tax returns, even including course, he would help Norton, because Norton killed y can prove his of the prison ,Andy mailed nortonsevidence of crime to the government, and then his judgment will unavoidable come. He killed himself. Red was faced with the same situationwith Brooks, after he was out of the prison. That is he cannot adapt himself to the life out of the prion, and even worse, he have no hope about his new life out theshawshank. But, finally, because of Andy, Red found a different way of life, full of once said,"hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies." so he decided to go to Buxton and start a new met again in the coast of Pacafic Ocean. Because time is limited, i cant mention all the details of the d better watch it yourself, everyone could find something precious ks foryou attention!肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇4Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies! Andy in the film there is such a word: " Dont forget that there are ... Places ... In the world that are not made up of stone, there is something ... Inside ... That they can not get to ... That is hope ( dont forget the world through walls, all things, theres something inside, that they cannot get to, that they cannot touch, that is hope ) ". Indeed, as ANDY said, the wall can bind our body freedom, even in the system that can bind our spiritual freedom, but only hope can not give up. Lose hope of life is dull, lifeless, and even there is no significance. ANDY in my heart has not abandoned the desire for freedom, but he has also been hope for their own efforts -- every night to use the hammer to dig RED that hundreds of years to dig through the wall. And for RED and BROOKS, they had to give up hope, because in their view of hope can only make yourself more pain, even think hope is the source of the pain. A man in the 19 years of painful prison life, do not give up longing for freedom, this is a kind of spiritual beliefs, so he succeeded, recapturing their freedom, the judgment of the Lord fell quickly.肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇5Shawshank Redemption is a film co-operated by white people and black people. It told a story about the life in the prison.A man called Andy Dufresne, was sent into the prison, Shawshank, for he murderer his wife and her lover in bed. However, he was innocent as he said. The new days in the prison were hard to live. It’s violent, heartless and cruel.A month later, Andy began to make friends with other prisoners. One of them called Red, who could get anything what he wanted. Andy bought a mallet from him and started his plan to escape. During this time, he did many things: expanding the library, caving stones, making tainted money for the prison governor, etc. It took him 20 years to tunnel secretly and he successfully escaped from the prison. Before that, Andy had told his best friend Red that his dream---Zihuatanejo, a warm place without memory. After escaping, Andy lived a free life in another identity and made the prison governor arrested. Several years later, Red was approved to leave. He had lived inside for 40 years. He was institutionized. Sometimes he thought of getting back again as he didn’t belong the world, but he didn’t, for the promise to Andy. Finally, in Zihuyatanejo, they met.It is a good film. The cruel prison life terrified me and the friendship moved me. The story goes to a happy ending---redemption.肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇6The story took place in banker Andy, had misjudgment committed the crime of murder which suddenly pushed Andy’s life to a world of was sentenced to life imprisonment, sent to Shawshank . However, Andy did not give up hope successfully escaped from prison and gave free The story may sound simple, but the truth behind the words is remarkable. When I heard the name of the film first time, I considered the Shawshank to be a man’ name, but in face it is a jail——a hell in the world. Not only for the inhumanity of the jailors——they behaved rudely but also for the jail gnawed at people’ heart by keeping them waiting and waiting as life passed. It seemed that only those utterly worthless people who gave up everything could survive. That’s where the story happened. The part impressed me most is when Andy got out of the jail. He extended his arms in front of him in the heavy rain as if he were welcoming the fresh air and the freedom. At that moment, I saw the faith win the darkness, discharging light dazzling the eyes in the dark blue sky. Under the light, I could feel my recreant innermost being shivering as his voice said: “Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies!”That’s why I like this film: it encourages people to fight to preserve the dignity of human beings, to appreciate the beauty of life, and the most important is to keep hope forever. Everyone is the same. The only difference is whether busy living or busy dying.肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇7Based on the Stephen King (non-horror) novella “Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption”, this is a simple story of hope made remarkable by the interaction between the two lead characters. The new days in the prison were hard to live. It’s violent, heartless and cruel. Nevertheless, A month later, Andy began to make friends with other prisoners. But the warden killed the young prisoner the only man that knew Andy was innocent. Then he knew the prison he could not stay any more. It took him 20 years to tunnel secretly and he successfully escaped from the prison. When he got free, Andy sent the evident which could prove the warden corruption, briber and murdering to the policy agency. Before that, Andy had told his best friend Red that his dream---Zihuatanejo, a warm place without memory. After escaping, Andy lived a free life in another identity and made the prison governor arrested. Several years later, Red was approved to leave. for the promise to Andy. Finally, in Zihuyatanejo, they met.The cruel prison life terrified me and the friendship moved me. The story goes to a happy ending---redemption. This film impressed me a lot. A sentence was said in the film: ’Some birds aren"t meant to be caged, but most birds will choose to stand it.’In this film, as we can see, the Shawshank Prison, which enjails lots of people. They have been in the prison form many years ,so they won’t go abroad. Because they won’t and also they can’t. They lived here for years without hope, and they lived just in the small prison, where nobody knows what is their dream and what’s their hope. As I remember, a old man Brooks was released after he had been in the jail for 50 years. But he found that the world became completely different from the world he imagined. For example, he seldom see cars before. He felt very strange and helpless to the outside world He can hardly adapt to the new developed world. He would rather stay in the prison. So unfortunately he chose to commit suicide. However, on the contrary, Andy said a converse sen tence:’ Some birds aren"t meant to be caged, that"s all. Their feathers are just too bright’ He long for the freedom and strive for it! What I remember very clearly is someone said that These walls are kind of funny things like that. First, you hate them, then you get used to them. Enough time passed, get so you depend on them. That is institutionalizing. But Andy hadn’t been affected. He insisted on his faith of freedom. He dared to pursue his deserved freedom! That’s the first point I appreciate. What’s m ore, another thing I think is friendship. Of course, Andy’s perseverance and endeavor is the main reason that he succeed in escaping. But it can’t be denying that friendship is also a important reason. Without the friends’ help in the prison, especially re d’s, He can’t break the prison, too. Even in the jailwhich is the most evil place that Andy could make it a significance place. He had transformed a storage room smelling of turpentine into the best prison library in New England. Then the prisoners read the books and got knowledge from it. Andy also helped them to pass the high school equivalency. The glitters of him lighted others’ life. That helps him built many sincere friendships in the prison. He just too bright that didn’t belong to the prison .Then he escape and gained the freedom. Furthermore, the patience, courage and b willpower are the keys to escape. 20 years, not a short ordeal time, but he endured. He made his plan day by day, week by week and year by year. He never gives up. he took nearly twenty years to dip a tunnel with a little rock hammer which Red said it would take a man 600 years to tunnel under the wall with one of these to fight for his free .And he did it finally. Please imagine, crossing the tunnel he dup, he still should crawled through five hundred yards of shit-smelling foulness. That is the length of five football fields. Then is the last but not least, I think. He has the bright brain ,the never fading persistent, and the most important thing----hope. Just as Andy said to Red: Hope is a good thing, may be the best of things. In this film, Andy show us that how good thing the hope is. Yes , hope is a good thing. Whatever it is, it can’t lock the hope. We all have dream. We all have hope. We all have it and please never give up, like Andy. This film, Shawshank Redemption, teaches me a lot. It deserves to be one of the most overwhelming films in the Hollywood.肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿篇9Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies! I can’t agree with it any more. I n the film, the walls of the prison can bind people’s freedom. But they can notdeprive people’s hope. The hero, Andy, never abandons the desire for freedom, and he keeps up working for his hope. Every night andy uses the little hammer to dig the wall that in others’ opinion, it will takes hundreds of years to dig through. He makes all preparations for leaving the prison. So he succeeds, and regains the precious freedom. It is hope that helps Andy get through painful prison life and regain the freedom. At the same time, hope saves his friend’s life too. Therefore, in real life, no matter how difficult the situation is, we shouldn’t give up our hope. We should stick to work hard for the hope. In this way our life will not lose its significance. So please remember, Hope is a good thing, and no good thing ever dies!。

This film, directed by Frank Darabont and adapted from Stephen King's novella "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption," tells a story of perseverance, resilience, and the redemptive power of the human spirit. At the helm of the story is Andy Dufresne, a wrongly accused banker sentenced to life in Shawshank Prison. But through his interactions with Andy, he gradually begins to see the world through a different lens. Their friendship, built on mutual respect and understanding, becomes a beacon of hope in an otherwise hopeless place. The film's climactic moment comes when Andy escapes from prison, using his meticulous planning and years of hard work. 肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿三篇篇一:肖申克的救赎英语The story took place in 1947.the banker Andy, had misjudgment committed the crime of murder which suddenly pushed Andy’s life to a world of hell.He was sentenced to life imprisonment, sent to Shawshank . The only difference is whether busy living or busy dying.篇二:肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿Today,I will introduce a movie to you.Do you know this movieWho have watched this movie beforeOk, one question for you. Just imagine you are caught by police one day for some reason. All the evidence show that you have killed someone, but actually you are innocent, somebody else is responsible. Finally, you are sent into prison for a sentence of several years. What will you do No evidence can prove your innocence. All of you can think about this question, because it does happen in our real life. what do you thinkNow this happens to the hero in this movie.Let's see what the hero will do.This is our hero,Andy, a banker , whowas wrongly accused of murdering his wife, and is sentenced to two consecutive life sentences at Shawshank. This is Norton, thewarden,a cruel man . Here is Red ,if you're sensitive enough, you can find Red is the first three letters of Redemption, rightRed is rejected for parole after having served twenty years of his sentence.Red and Andy gradually became friends. Red is able to get some small goods for the prisoners, so Andy asked Red for a rock hammer because of his interest in carving rocks .But with this hammer, Andy escaped from the prison. This is amazingAndy dug a big hole on the wall for 19 years and hid it with a poster, just beyond our imagination. He crawled through 500 yards and then a pipe full of shitsmelling dirty water .Finally he got freedom. You know, the freedom is waiting for you out of theshawshank. Consequently, If i were Andy ,i can break through the dirty water. But what about 19 years to dig a big hole. Will you do itAnother thing is , do you think Andy is just keeping digging every day during the 19 yearsOf course not. I think this is the most amazing part of the movie. He played music, every man felt free;he expanded the library by writing one letter per weeks to the government to ask for money to rebuild the liberary; he helped T ommy to read from ABC's.What's more,he helped the guards do tax returns, evenincluding Norton.Of course, he would help Norton, because Norton killed Tommy.Tommy can prove his innocence.Out of the prison ,Andy mailed norton'sevidence of crime to the government, and then his judgment will unavoidable come. He killed himself.Red was faced with the same situation with Brooks, after he was out of the prison. That is he cannot adapt himself to the life out of the prion, and even worse, he have no hope about his new life out theshawshank. But, finally, because of Andy, Red found a different way of life, full of hope.Andy once said,"hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies." so he decided to go to Buxton and start a new life. They met again in the coast of Pacafic Ocean.Because time is limited, i can't mention all the details of the movie. You'd better watch it yourself, everyone could find something precious inside. Thanks foryou attention!篇三:肖申克的救赎-英文影评Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies!I can’t agree with it any more. In the film, the walls of the prison can bind people’s freedom. But they can not deprive people’s hope. The hero, Andy, never abandons the desire for freedom, and he keeps up working for his hope. Every night andy uses the little hammer to dig the wall that in others’ opinion, itwill takes hundreds of years to dig through. So please remember, Hope is a good thing, and no good thing ever dies!篇四:肖申克的救赎英语演讲稿Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies!Andy in the film there is such a word: " Don't forget that there are ... Places ... In the world that are not made up of stone, there is something ... Inside ... That they can not get to ... That is hope ( don't forget the world through walls, all things, there's something inside, that they cannot get to, that they cannot touch, that is hope ) ". A man in the 19 years of painful prison life, do not give up longing for freedom, this is a kind of spiritual beliefs, so he succeeded, recapturing their freedom, the judgment of theLord fell quickly.。

肖申克的救赎英语作文1The film "The Shawshank Redemption" is a profound masterpiece that powerfully showcases the forces of hope and freedom. The main character, Andy, stands as a remarkable symbol of unwavering hope throughout his imprisonment. Despite the harsh and oppressive conditions of the prison, he never gives up on the possibility of a better future. He meticulously plans his escape over a long period, driven by the hope of regaining his freedom. This is in stark contrast to many other prisoners who, having lost hope, become resigned to their fate within the prison walls. For instance, Brooks, who has been institutionalized for so long, finds himself unable to adapt to the outside world when released and tragically takes his own life. This serves as a poignant reminder of the destructive power of losing hope. On the other hand, Andy's determination and hope lead him to persevere and eventually break free from the shackles of Shawshank.Hope is not just a fleeting emotion but a powerful driving force that enables us to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles. It gives us the strength to endure difficult circumstances and the courage to strive for a better life. The story of "The Shawshank Redemption" teaches us that as long as we hold onto hope and keep fighting for our freedom, no prison, whether physical or mental, can truly confine us.2The movie "The Shawshank Redemption" has left an indelible mark on my heart. It is a tale that unfolds with both hope and despair, friendship and solitude. The friendship between Andy and Red is truly touching. Andy's unwavering spirit and intelligence inspire Red to believe in the possibility of a better life outside the prison walls. One memorable scene is when Andy shares his dream of a peaceful life in Mexico with Red, and their connection deepens in that moment. It shows that true friendship can withstand the harshness of the most difficult circumstances.Another scene that struck me was when Andy crawls through the long, filthy sewer pipe to freedom. This scene symbolizes the power of determination and the refusal to be defeated by circumstances. It made me realize that no matter how hopeless a situation seems, there is always a glimmer of hope if one has the courage to pursue it.The entire movie is a profound exploration of human nature, hope, and the resilience of the spirit. It has taught me that even in the darkest of times, we must hold on to our dreams and never lose faith. "The Shawshank Redemption" is not just a movie; it is a powerful reminder of the strength within us all.3The film "The Shawshank Redemption" is widely regarded as a masterpiece, and its success can be attributed to several key factors. The slow and meticulous buildup of his preparations adds to the suspense and anticipation.Secondly, the characters are portrayed with remarkable depth. Andy Dufresne is not just a victim but a symbol of hope and resilience. His transformation from a defeated man to a determined survivor is both inspiring and touching. The friendship between Andy and Red also adds a layer of warmth and humanity to the story. The director's masterful touch is another crucial element. The use of camera angles, lighting, and music all contribute to creating a tense and immersive atmosphere. The scenes inside the prison are shot in a way that makes viewers feel the claustrophobia and oppression.Furthermore, the film reflects profound social realities. It highlights the corruption and injustice within the prison system, as well as the power of hope and the human spirit to overcome even the most adverse circumstances. In conclusion, "The Shawshank Redemption" stands out as acinematic gem due to its compelling plot, rich characterizations, excellent direction, and its ability to shed light on social issues. It continues to inspire and move audiences, making it a timeless classic.4The movie "The Shawshank Redemption" is a masterpiece that leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of viewers. One of the most unforgettable scenes is when Andy plays music in the broadcasting room. The moment the enchanting melody fills the air, it seems as if time stands still. Everyone within the prison walls is immersed in this beautiful sound, forgetting for a while the harsh reality of their confinement. The expressions on their faces show a mixture of surprise, joy, and a longing for something beyond their daily routine.Another remarkable scene is when Andy steps out into the rain after tunneling his way to freedom. With his arms wide open, he embraces the pouring rain, as if welcoming a new life. The raindrops wash away the filth and exhaustion of years of imprisonment. His face reflects a sense of liberation and hope that is contagious. It's a moment that symbolizes the victory of the human spirit over adversity. These scenes not only showcase the power of hope and the pursuit of freedom but also touch the deepest corners of our souls. They remind us that even in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of light waiting to be discovered.5The film "The Shawshank Redemption" offers a profound exploration of human nature, presenting a vivid contrast between good and evil. The warden of the prison, a figure embodying greed and selfishness, exploits his power for personal gain, trampling on the rights and hopes of the inmates. His actions are a blatant manifestation of the corruption and malignancy within human nature. In contrast, Andy, the protagonist, showcases kindness and tenacity throughout his imprisonment. Despite facing the harsh realities and injustice of the prison system, he remains steadfast in his belief in justice and freedom. His determination to escape and create a better life for himself is a testament to the indomitable spirit of humanity. In this extreme environment, human nature is indeed put to the test. Some, like the warden, surrender to their base instincts and become morally bankrupt. However, others, like Andy, hold onto their integrity and moral compass, refusing to be consumed by the darkness. This dichotomy highlights the complexity and diversity of human nature. The story of "The Shawshank Redemption" serves as a reminder that even in the most adverse circumstances, the choice between good and evil lies within us. It is a powerful commentary on the resilience of the human spirit and the eternal struggle between light and darkness within our souls.。

The film stars Tim Robbins as Andrew "Andy" Dufresne and Morgan Freeman as Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding. The film portrays Andy spending nearly two decades in Shawshank State Prison, a fictional penitentiary in Maine and his friendship with Red, a fellow inmate. In 1947, a banker named Andrew "Andy" Dufresne (Tim Robbins) is convicted of murdering his wife and her lover, based on strong circumstantial evidence. He is sentenced to two consecutive life sentences at Shawshank State Penitentiary in Maine, run by Warden Samuel Norton (Bob Gunton). He is quickly befriended by Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding (Morgan Freeman), a fellow inmate serving a life sentence who has recently failed to gain parole. Andy finds Red has connections on the outside who can acquire contraband for the inmates, and first asks Red for a rock hammer in order to maintain his rock collection hobby, which he uses to fashion a home-made chess set. He later asks Red for a full-size poster of Rita Hayworth for his wall, replacing them over the years with ones of Marilyn Monroe and Raquel Welch.During manual labor, Andy overhears Captain of the Guards Byron Hadley (Clancy Brown) complain about having to pay taxes on a forthcoming inheritance. Andy risks punishment by explaining to Hadley how to circumvent the taxes legally; Hadley accepts Andy's advice and rewards his friends with a brief respite and beer. Andy's accountancy expertise is soon sought by other guards at Shawshank and nearby prisons, and Andy is given a space to work on their financial matters under the pretense of maintaining the prison library alongside elderly inmate Brooks Hatlen (James Whitmore). Hadley delivers a brutal beating to inmate Bogs (Mark Rolston), leader of "The Sisters", after his gangs' attempt to sexually molest Andy puts Andy in the infirmary; Bogs is paralyzed while the remaining Sisters leave Andy alone. Andy is able to use his good will with the guards to help expand the library; when one donation to the library provides him with the opera The Marriage of Figaro, he plays it for all the inmates to hear, well-aware of the punishment of solitary confinement he will receive for the brief moment of bliss.Brooks is soon freed on parole, but is unable to adjust to the outside, non-regimented world, and hangs himself;Andy dedicates the expanded library to Brooks.Warden Norton creates a scheme to use prison labor for public works, undercutting the cost of skilled labor anddiscretely receiving personal kickbacks for it. Norton has Andy launder the money under a false identity, in exchange for allowing Andy to keep his private cell and to continue maintaining the library. In 1965, Tommy Williams (Gil Bellows) is incarcerated into Shawshank on robbery charges. Tommy is brought into Andy and Red's circle of friends, and Andy assists Tommy into getting his GED. Tommy reveals that one of his old prison-mates, Elmo Blatch (Bill Bolender) had claimed to have committed the murders for which Andy was charged. Norton, fearing that Andy may expose his illegal activities if he were released, puts him into solitary confinement and has Tommy killed by Hadley, claiming he was an escapee. When Andy is finally released from solitary, Norton threatens to burn down the library if Andy does not continue to launder the money for him.Shortly after, Andy informs Red of his dream to live in Zihuatanejo, aMexican-Pacific coastal town, and instructs Red, should he ever be freed, to visit a specific hayfield near Buxton, Maine to find something he had left there. The next day at roll call, Andy's cell is found empty. Norton, in anger, throws one of Andy's rocks at the poster of Welch; the rock tears through the poster, revealing a tunnel that Andy had dug with the rock hammer over the last two decades that allowed him to escape Shawshank, along with a set of civilian clothes, his chess set, and the books he had kept for Norton, having swapped them for fakes the night before. Andy uses his false identity to withdraw all of Norton's money from the bank, at the same time, sending the evidence to a local newspaper. On the day the story runs, the police converge on the prison; Hadley is arrested while Norton commits suicide. When Red finally achieves parole after serving 40 years of his sentence, he finds himself in the same bagging job at a grocery store as Brooks, and living in the same apartment where Brooks committed suicide. Red decides to follow Andy's advice and visits Buxton. In the hayfield where Andy specified, he finds a cache of money and a note left by Andy, reminding him of Zihuatanejo, Mexico. Red violates his parole and travels to Mexico; he eventually comes across Andy on the coast, and they happily reunite.冰河世纪3:I was really impressed by the film. A problem that many sequels run into is that they r ely too heavily on the name of the franchise and hope it will blind the audience into li king a mediocre film. This film didn't have that. It truly stayed true to the characters a nd themes we have grown to love in the Ice Age franchise. In this instalment, Manny and Ellie's child is on the way. Manny has a tough time and is nervous about becoming a father. Ellie, on the other hand, is very excited and feels ready.Diego worries he is going 'soft', and struggles with his desire to be a strong, intimidati ng tiger once again.Upon being around so much 'baby excitement', Sid feels like he wants some kids. His wish is granted when he stumbles upon three eggs, which hatch and are revealed to be dinosaur eggs. Thus, our adventure begins.Needless to say, most of the key characters have inner struggles that they are dealing with. The film also introduces a new character, a crazy cool weasel named Buck. Afte r the film, my boyfriend told me Buck reminded him of Jack Sparrow from the acclai med 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise. I see the resemblance, as Buck is a little on t he wild side and has a hunger for adventure. The animation was beautiful. With each film in the series, the animation gets better. T he scenery and colors were great, and the characters were well done as well.A lot of people seem to have an issue with the dinosaurs. They claim it isn't realistic. My only argument against that is, "Do you think the first two were all that realistic?" i f you see this film, you just need to let your imagination stretch a bit. Accept that ther e are dinosaurs in it, and you'll love it. Don't get hung up on the fact that dinosaurs we re long gone before the Ice Age.The film moves at a fast pace and has many laughs along the way. It's a great adventu re and I really think it will be popular when it hits theaters. The script was pretty good , the soundtrack was excellent, and I really can't pin point anything that is extremely wrong with this movie. It stands well on its own, so newcomers will be able to enjoy i t easily, all while keeping the same spirit of the first two, which is sure to please fans f rom day one.哈6:Harry Potter stands on the Ministry of Magic Atrium, facing a wall of reporters photo graphing him and Dumbledore who stands on his side. He's obviously a case for treatment by a Body Swap Movie.Revisiting the trophy case at his old high school, Mike encounters a janitor who, from the way he sm iles at the camera, knows things beyond this mortal coil. If only Mike could go back t o 17 and not make all the same mistakes. In "17 Again," he can. He falls into a Twilig ht Zone vortex and emerges as Zac Efron. They say be careful what you wish for, bec ause you might get it. Mike should have been more specific. Instead of wishing to be 17 again, he should have wished to go back 20 years in time.Yes, he becomes himself trapped inside his own 17-year-old body. Same wife, same kids, same problems. As O ld Mike getting divorced, he'd moved in with his best friend, Ned (Thomas Lennon), a nd now he throws himself on Ned's mercy: Will Ned pose as his father, so Young Mik e can be his son and help out his kids by enrolling in the same high school again? Ned , who is a software millionaire and middle-age fanboy, agrees, especially after he falls helplessly in love with the high school principal, Jane (Melora Hardin).Young Mike becomes the new best friend of his insecure son, Alex (Sterling Knight). Then he meets Alex's mom, Scarlet (Leslie Mann), who, of course, before the vortex was his wife, and before that his high school bride (Allison Miller). She thinks it's stra nge that he looks exactly like the boy she married at 17. He explains he is the son of a n uncle, who I guess would have to be Old Mike's brother, so it's curious Old Scarlet n ever met him, but if she doesn't ask that, why should I?In high school, Young Mike ag ain becomes a basketball star, befriends Alex, and attempts to defend his Gothish dau ghter, Maggie (Michelle Trachtenberg), against the predations of her jerk boyfriend, who as a hot-rodding jock traveling with a posse is, of course, the last guy in school w ho would date, or be dated by, a moody girl who wears black.I've seen Body Switches before (Tom Hanks in "Big"). The first act of this movie see med all retread. Then it started to dig in. There are twin romances; as Shakespeare de monstrated, one must be serious and the other farcical. Before her, ecstasy was owning Darth Va der's costume. I will not describe what happens the first time they go out to dinner, ex cept to say that it's comic genius, perfectly played by Melora Hardin and Thomas Len non.I attended a screening held by a radio station, which attracted mainly teenage girls wh o left their boyfriends behind. When Zac Efron took off his T-shirt, the four in front of me squealed as if there were buzzers in their seats. Now that he's a little older, Efron has a Tom Cruiseish charm, and a lot of confidence. Why Matthew Perry was cast as his adult self is hard to figure; does your head change its shape in 20 years?"17 Again" is pleasant, harmless PG-13 entertainment, with a plot a little more surpris ing and acting a little better than I expected. Mike is dispatched into that vortex by the bearded old janitor with a delighted smile. The janitor (Brian Doyle-Murray) is quite a convenience, supplying vortexes when needed. If his smile reminds you of anyone, he's played by Bill Murray's brother.电影:口是心非When it comes to spy thrillers, Tony Gilroy knows the game. The formula for a crackl ing entry into this genre is simple enough: keep the action moving and the twists comi ng, then engage in one late innings sleight of hand that pulls the rug out from under ev erything. Gilroy, with an adroitness Hitchcock might admire, works admirably in this arena, turning in a screenplay that's more diabolical and pulpy than his convoluted dir ectorial debut, Michael Clayton, but no less fun. He maximizes his assets, and conside ring the wattage of his stars, they are considerable. Although one could not consider t he plot for Duplicity to be air-tight, the holes are small enough for things to remain afl oat until after the proceedings have ended. A post-movie dissection on the way home i n the car will reveal some obvious plotting problems. For Julia Roberts (who seems to be in semi-retirement) and Clive Owen, this is a muc h different sort of movie than their previous on-screen collaboration, Closer. The tone is lighter and the chemistry changes to match. Instead of searing and raw, it's playful a nd romantic. One of the keys to the production working is for audiences to believe the ir characters are evenly matched and, by virtue of actions and words, this is evident. T heir duels are via dialogue, not guns, and their weapons are words. Roberts and Owen provide characters who clearly love one another but do not trust each other. That's the way it is in the spy business, where trust is the quickest way to failure.Duplicity opens five years ago in Rome with the first meeting between CIA operative Claire Stenwick (Roberts) and MI-6 agent Ray Koval (Owen). The liaison doesn't last long and Ray ends up on the short end. Skip ahead to today in New York City, where Claire and Ray are about to meet again. By now, they have graduated to the private s ector. Ray is an industrial espionage expert working for Equikrom. Claire is a director of security for Equikrom's rival, Burkett & Randle. (Think of this corporate battle as akin to the one between Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson.) However, as we soon learn, she's a Equikrom mole and her new "handler" is Ray. All is not as it seems (of course), with the possibility that Ray and Claire may be playing a game beyond the parameters of their jobs - a game that is endangered when Ray takes things a little to o far "in the line of duty."James Bond and Jason Bourne notwithstanding, espionage movies have fallen into dis favor since the collapse of the Soviet Union, which is something of a shame since, wh en well-written, they can provide a superlative source of suspense. Duplicity proves th at, even without the U.S.S.R., there are still ways to develop spy thrillers since compa nies guard trade secrets as jealously as nations protect their national security. With the element of death removed from the equation, the stakes are less intense than they mig ht have been in a traditional Cold War thriller, and there are times when Duplicity feel s more like a heist movie than a spy thriller. Regardless of how one elects to classify it , however, Gilroy knows where to place the pieces on the board and how to move the m to deliver maximum entertainment value from the story and to keep the final twist - the one that happens just after the viewer is sure he has everything figured out - effect ively camouflaged. (The existence of this twist, by the way, should not be considered a spoiler since it's a requirement of the genre - like horny teenagers in sex comedies, g ore in horror movies, and femmes fatale in film noir.) The plot is actually a little more straightforward than it originally seems, but Gilroy uses a non-linear storytelling appr oach to obfuscate various plot elements. Instead of taking us from point A to point B i n a strictly chronological fashion, he keeps things pretty much in the present, unveilin g past incidents via carefully placed flashbacks. Duplicity's storyline isn't as dense or difficult to follow as that of some thrillers, but it will reward those who pay attention.A mid-movie trip to the snack bar could result in a prolonged period of confusion upo n returning.Duplicity is an unpretentious pleasure, combining as it does the deft plotting of Gilroy , the unforced acting of charismatic stars Roberts and Owen (not to mention nice turns by supporting performers Tom Wilkenson and Paul Giamatti as the rival CEOs of Bu rkett & Randle and Equikrom), and the suspense inherent in this sort of motion pictur e. No one is going to rank Duplicity among the great espionage thrillers or heist movi es but, for those who don't put unreasonable demands on the picture, it's a fun way to英文版介绍:In 1947, Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins), a banker in Maine, was convicted of murdering his wife and her lover, a golf pro. He was sentenced to two life sentences, and sent to the notoriously harsh Shawshank Prison. Andy always claimed his innocence, but his cold and measured demeanor led many to doubt his word.During the first night, the chief guard Byron Hadley (Clancy Brown), savagely beat up a newly arrived inmate because of his crying & complaining. Meanwhile Andykept to himself even though during the day Ellis Redding (Morgan Freeman), also known as Red, had bet against others that Andy would have been the one to break down first. That beating led to the new inmate's death.About a month later, Andy approached Red, who was known to run contraband inside the walls of Shawshank. He asked if Red could find him a rock hammer, an instrument he claimed necessary for his hobby in rock collecting. Though other prisoners considered Andy " a really cold fish", Red saw something in Andy, and liked him from the start. Red thought Andy intended to use the hammer to engineer his escape one day but when the tool arrived & seeing how small it was, Red put aside the thought that Andy could ever use it to dig his way out of prison.Over the first two years of doing time, Andy worked in the prison laundry. He ended up attracting attention from "the Sisters", a group of prisoners who sexually assaulted other prisoners, and was raped on a regular basis.Red pulled some strings, and got Andy a break by getting him on a work detail tarring the roof of one of the prison's buildings. During the job one day, Andy overheard Hadley complaining about having to pay taxes for an upcoming inheritance. Andy approached, using his expertise as a banker to let Hadley know how he could shelter his money from the IRS. He said he would assist in exchange for some cold beers for his fellow inmates. Warden Norton heard about the help, and used a prison inspection to size him up.Soon, after asking Red for "Rita Hayworth", he was once more encountered by the Sisters. This time, he resisted, and was brutally beaten, putting him in the infirmary for a month. Boggs, the leader of the Sisters, spent a week in solitary. But when he came out, Hadley and his men were waiting in his cell. They beat him so bad he was left paralyzed, and transferred to a prison hospital upstate, and the Sisters never bothered Andy again. When Andy got out of the infirmary, he found a bunch of rocks and a poster of Rita Hayworth in his cell; presents from Red and his buddies.Andy was sent to work with Brooks Hatlen (James Whitmore), an aging inmate in the prison library, where he set up a make-shift desk to provide services to other guards including the warden with income tax returns and other financial advice. His practice became so appreciated that even guards from other prisons, when they came forinter-prison baseball matches, sought Andy's advice as well. After 6 years of writing letters, Andy received $200 from the state for the library, along with a collection of old books and records. He put a record of Mozart on a turntable and channelled the music through a PA system. He turned up the volume and locked the office where the record player was to prevent interference by the warden and guards. That stunt landed Andy in solitary for a week but he seemed unfazed. With the enlarged library and more materials, Andy began to teach those inmates who wanted to receive their high school diplomas. Not long afterward, Brooks threatened to kill another prisoner in order to avoid getting paroled. Andy was able to talk him down. Brooks was paroled. He later sent a letter to his friends at Shawshank about how hard it was for an institutionalized prisoner to get by on the outside. In the flashback, it ends with him hanging himself at the halfway house where he was staying.Warden Samuel Norton profited on Andy's knowledge of bookkeeping and devised a scheme whereby he put prison inmates to work in projects which he won by outbidding other contractors (cheap labor from the prisoners). Occasionally, he let others get some contracts if they bribed him. Andy laundered money for the warden by setting up many accounts in different banks, along with several investments, using a fake identity: "Randall Stephens". He shared the details only with his friend, Red, noting that he had to go to prison to learn how to be a criminal. In 1965, a young prisoner named Tommy (Gil Bellows) came to Shawshank. One day he happened to mention that some years ago, he had a cellmate who boasted about killing a man who was a pro golfer at the country club he worked at, along with his lover. The woman's husband, a banker, had gone to prison for those murders. With this new information, Andy, full of hope, brought the matter to the warden's attention, expecting he could help him get another trial with Tommy as a witness. The reaction from Norton was the contrary of what Andy had hoped for. Fearing the end of the lucrative ill-gotten money that Andy was looking after for him, Norton had Tommy shot dead by Hadley under the guise of an escape attempt. Andy was sent to solitary confinement for 2 months to put him back in his place.Afterwards, Andy returned to the usual daily life at Shawshank, a seemingly broken man. One day he laid his soul to Red, about how although he didn't kill his wife, hispersonality drove her away, which led to her death. He said if he ever got free, he'd like to go to Zihuatanejo, a beach town on the Pacific coast of Mexico. He then told Red how he got engaged. He and his wife (then-girlfriend) went up to a farm in Buxton, Maine, to a large oak tree at the end of a stone wall. The two made love under the tree, after which he proposed to her. He told Red that, if he should ever be paroled, he should look for that field, and that oak tree. There, under a large black volcanic rock that would look out of place, Andy had a box buried that he wanted Red to have. Andy refused to reveal what might be in that box.One day Andy asked for rope, leading Red and his buddies to suspect he was going to commit suicide. At the end of the day, Norton asked Andy to shine his shoes for him and put his suit in for dry-cleaning before retiring for the night. The following morning, Andy was not accounted for as usual from his cell. At the same time, Norton became alarmed when he found out Andy's shoes were in his shoebox instead of his own. He rushed to Andy's cell and demanded an explaination. Hadley brought in Red, but Red knew nothing of Andy's plans either. Getting paranoid, Norton started throwing rocks at everyone. But when he threw it at Andy's poster of Raquel Welch (where it used to hold Marilyn Monroe and Rita Hayworth before), the rock went right through and into the wall. Behind that poster was a tunnel big enough for a man to crawl through. The previous night, it was storming. Andy wore Norton's shoes to his cell, figuring nobody would notice. He packed some papers and Norton's clothes into a plastic bag, tied it to himself with some rope, and escaped through his hole. He got down to a sewer main. Using a rock, he hit it in time with the lightning strikes and eventually burst it. He crawled 500 yards through raw sewage to a nearby river. There, he washed off and changed into the warden's clothes. All the authorities found were his prison uniform, a used bar of soap and one of his rock hammers beaten down to nearly nothing. That morning, Andy walked into the Maine National Bank in Portland, where he had put Warden Norton's money. Using his assumed identity as Randall Stephens, and with all the necessary documentation, he walked out with a cashier's check. Before he left, he asked them to drop a package in the mail. He gathered up over $370,000 from a dozen area banks. As for the package, it was Warden Norton's books...and they went right to the Portland Daily Bugle newspaper. Not long after, the police stormed Shawshank Prison. Hadley was arrested for murder; Red said he was taken away "crying like a little girl". Warden Norton finally opened the safe, which he hadn't touched since Andy escaped, and instead of his books, he found the Bible he had given Andy...which he had used to conceal his rock hammer. Norton barricaded himself in his office, then put his gun under his chin, committing suicide.Shortly after, Red received a postcard from Fort Hancock, Texas, with nothing written on it. Red took it as a sign that Andy made it into Mexico and was totally free. Red and his buddies would spend their time talking about Andy's exploits (with a lot of embellishments), but Red just missed his friend. At Red's next parole hearing in 1967, he talked to the parole board about how "rehabilitated" was a made-up word, and how he regretted his actions of the past. His parole was granted this time. He went to work at a grocery store, and stayed at the same halfway house Brooks had stayed in. He frequently walked by a pawn shop, which had several guns and compasses in the window. At times he would contemplate trying to get back into prison, but he remembered the promise he had made to Andy. One day, with a compass he bought from the pawn shop, he followed Andy's instructions, hitchhiking to Buxton and arriving at the stone wall he described. Just like Andy said, there was a large black stone. Under it was a lunch box containing a large sum of cash and instructions to find him. He said he needed somebody "who could get things" for a "project" of his.Red violated parole and left the halfway house. He took a bus to Fort Hancock, where he crossed into Mexico. The two friends finally reunited on the beach of Zihuatanejo on the Pacific coast.。

关于电影肖申克的救赎的英语作文
关于电影肖申克的救赎的英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1The Shawshank Redemption: A Movie That Shows You Can Break FreeThe Shawshank Redemption is one of my all-time favorite movies! It's a really long film that came out in 1994, but even though it's old, it tells a story that will stick with you forever. The movie is about a guy named Andy Dufresne who gets sent to a tough prison called Shawshank for a crime he didn't actually commit. While he's locked up for years and years, Andy becomes friends with some of the other inmates and never loses hope that one day he will finally be free. One of the coolest things about Andy is that even though he's in a harsh prison where life is really hard, he doesn't let it get him down. The prison guards and the warden who runs the place are often mean and corrupt. But Andy uses his smarts to slowly make the prison a bit better through acts of kindness and hard work. He helps out his friends like Red, an inmate who has been locked up for so long. Andy even starts getting books for theinmates so they can have a little library and learn new things while stuck behind bars. While Andy is imprisoned for something he didn't do, which isn't fair at all, he somehow manages to stay positive through it all. He comes up with an amazing plan to eventually escape from the brutal Shawshank Prison in a really clever way. Andy digs a tunnel in the prison little by little over many years, keeping it a complete secret. When his plan is finally ready after preparing for so long, he manages to escape through the tunnel and get away by following a trail of muddy footprints he made to finally reach freedom. The most famous scene in the movie shows Andy breaking out and leaving Shawshank behind for good. As he escapes through a sewer pipe and comes out into a creek, he rips off his prison clothes and stands there taking his first breath as a free man. He lets out a huge yell and throws his arms out wide, enjoying the fresh air and sunlight for the first time in forever. It's such a powerful scene that really makes you feel the joy and relief that Andy must have felt after being unfairly locked up for so many years. When I saw that scene for the first time, it made me want to cheer and pump my fists in the air too!Even though escaping from prison like that would obviously be a criminal thing to do, it's hard not to feel happy for Andy after seeing all he had been through. He was such a good guy who never did anything wrong to deserve being imprisoned in the first place. Andy's clever escape showed that if you stay hopeful and work really hard, you can overcome injustice and break free, just like he did. After Andy escapes, he travels to a beautiful beach in Mexico and finally gets to experience true freedom for the first time in decades. My favorite part is when his friend Red, who finally gets released from prison years later after Andy escapes, follows the clues Andy left for him and gets to join his friend on that same beach in Mexico. When old friends Red and Andy reunite on the beach, it's such a heartwarming scene that always makes me smile from ear to ear.The Shawshank Redemption has such an inspiring message about having hope, being good to others, working hard, and never giving up on your dreams no matter how tough life gets. Even when Andy was in a terrible situation year after year in prison, he never stopped believing that one day he would be free if he came up with a good enough plan and took things one stepat a time. In the end, his patience and perseverance finally paid off in such a big way.I think this movie can teach kids like me an important lesson for whenever we go through hard times or if life just isn't being fair to us. We should try to follow Andy's example by keeping our spirits up, helping others, making the best of tough situations, and working hard to make our biggest dreams come true over time. If we keep up hope like Andy did and never quit trying, anything is possible! Even if it takes many years of slowly working towards your goals, you can break through in the end just like Andy did and finally experience your own "Shawshank Redemption."篇2The Shawshank Redemption: A Movie About HopeHi, my name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. My favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption. It's a really long movie, almost 2 and a half hours! But it's so good that the time just flies by.The movie is about a guy named Andy Dufresne who gets sent to prison for a really long time, even though he didn't actually do the crime. The crime was that his wife and her boyfriend were murdered, but Andy said he didn't do it. Nobodybelieved him though, so he got sent to this tough prison called Shawshank. When Andy first gets to Shawshank, it's really scary for him. The prison guards are mean and the other inmates are tough criminal guys. But Andy is different - he's a quiet, smart guy who was wrongly accused. His best friend in prison becomes a guy named Red. Red has been in Shawshank for a super long time and knows all about how the prison works and who to watch out for.One of the really bad guys in the prison is a guard named Captain Hadley. He's horrible and beats up the prisoners for no reason. He especially doesn't like Andy and makes his time in prison really difficult. There are some other mean guards too, like the one who starves and beats up Andy when he first arrives.Despite all the terrible things that happen to Andy in prison, he never gives up hope that one day he'll get out and be free again. That's one of the main themes of the movie - having hope even when everything seems hopeless. Andy is always dreaming of living in a beautiful place in Mexico after he gets out of prison. To keep his mind strong, Andy does some really cool things in prison. He helps out the other inmates by getting them books to read from a far away place. He even helps the guards by doingtaxes and legal work for them. And in his free time, he works on a secret project that's a big surprise! The big surprise is that over many years, Andy dug a tunnel all the way out of the prison! He did it little by little with just a tiny rock hammer. It took him like 20 years but he never gave up. Finally one day, he crawled through the tunnel all covered in dirt and escaped from the evil prison. That was such an amazing part of the movie! I was so happy for Andy when he finally got out. He went to the beach in Mexico like he had dreamed about. And his friend Red joined him there too after he got out of prison. At the end, they were living their lives free and happy on the beach, after keeping hope alive for so many difficult years. The Shawshank Redemption teaches that you should never give up, no matter how bad things seem. Andy could have just accepted being in prison forever, but he never stopped fighting for his freedom and dreaming of a better life. That's why it's such an inspiring and uplifting movie.I think everyone should watch The Shawshank Redemption, even though it's pretty long. It has amazing characters that you really care about. And the story shows that if you just keep hoping and working toward your goals, you can overcomeanything in the end. That's a really important lesson for kids and adults alike. Never give up on your dreams - just keep digging that tunnel to a better life like Andy did!篇3The Shawshank Redemption: A Tale of Hope and FriendshipHave you ever felt really, really sad and scared? Like nothing good will ever happen to you again? That's how Andy Dufresne felt when he was sent to Shawshank Prison for a crime he didn't commit. Shawshank was a tough place, filled with mean guards and scary inmates. But Andy never lost hope, and that's what this amazing movie is all about.Andy Dufresne was a banker who got sent to Shawshank Prison for murdering his wife and her lover. But Andy said he didn't do it, and I believe him. The evidence against him wasn't very good, but the jury still found him guilty. Can you imagine how awful that must have felt? To be locked up in a cold, dark prison for something you didn't even do? Most people would have given up hope right away. But not Andy. He was a really smart guy, and he never stopped believing that one day he would get out of Shawshank and prove his innocence. While the other inmates were justtrying to survive day by day, Andy had a plan. He was going to escape from Shawshank, no matter how long it took.Andy's best friend in Shawshank was a guy named Red. Red had been in prison for a really, really long time, and he knew all the tricks for getting things from the outside world. Andy asked Red to get him a rock hammer, which is a tool for breaking rocks. This seemed like a weird thing for a prisoner to want, but Red got it for him anyway.Little by little, night after night, Andy used that rock hammer to chip away at the wall of his prison cell. He did it so carefully that the guards never noticed. It took him almost twenty years, but Andy never gave up. He knew that if he kept working at it, one day he would find a way out. While he was chipping away at that wall, Andy also did other things to make life better for the inmates at Shawshank. He helped them get books for the prison library so they could learn new things. He even got them to start up a little business making nice wooden toys and sculptures to sell. Andy was always thinking of ways to give the prisoners hope and keep them busy. The other really cool thing about Andy was that he was a true friend. There was this mean old guard named Captain Hadley who used to beat up the prisoners for no reason. One day,Andy stood up to Hadley and threatened to have him arrested for all the bad things he'd done. After that, Hadley stopped picking on the prisoners so much. Andy risked getting into big trouble just to protect his friends. Finally, after almost twenty years of chipping away at that wall, Andy made a hole big enough to escape through. But before he left Shawshank, he played a trick on the mean old warden. Using a tiny rock hammer he'd kept hidden away, Andy got into the warden's safe and took all his dirty money that he'd stolen from the prison. Then he played an opera song over the prison loudspeakers to distract the guards while he escaped! When Andy finally made it outside, he had to travel a really long way to get to a place called Zihuatanejo, which was a beach in Mexico. That's where he planned to meet up with Red if Red ever got out of prison too. After so many years of being locked up, Andy was finally free!Red did end up getting released from Shawshank a few years later. He went looking for Andy and found a note from him telling Red where to find a box Andy had buried. Inside was money and instructions for how to get to Mexico. So Red got on a bus and followed the instructions, hoping to be reunited with his best friend. And you know what? The movie ends with Red finding Andy on that beautiful beach in Mexico! After dreaming about it for so many years, Andy's plan to escape from Shawshank finally worked. He never gave up hope, and his friend Red never stopped believing in him either. The Shawshank Redemption shows that if you keep hoping and never give up, even the most impossible dreams can come true. It's a powerful movie about friendship, courage, and holding onto your dreams no matter how hard life gets. Andy and Red's story proves that nothing can keep good people down forever. Their hope, determination, and loyalty to each other as friends is what sets them free in the end.篇4The Shawshank Redemption: A Tale of Hope and FriendshipI recently watched a really cool movie called The Shawshank Redemption. At first, I wasn't sure if I would like it because it's kind of an old movie from 1994 and it's about prison. But my dad said it was one of his favorite movies of all time, so I decided to give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did! This movie totally blew me away. The Shawshank Redemption is about a guy named Andy Dufresne who gets sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit. Inthe beginning, Andy seems scared and overwhelmed by the harsh realities of prison life. The other inmates are mean bullies and the guards are corrupt and abusive. It's a brutal environment where violence is common. I felt really bad for Andy having to endure such horrible conditions when he was innocent. But Andy doesn't let the situation get him down for long. Soon, his resilient spirit and intelligence start to shine through. Andy uses his skills as a former banker to start doing financial paperwork for the prison staff and the prison warden in exchange for favors and privileges. He's able to get books for the library, start an education program for the inmates, and make the prison a bit more bearable. My favorite character in the movie is definitely Andy's best friend Red. Red is this older inmate who has been in Shawshank for most of his adult life. At first, Red thinks Andy is naive for believing he can ever leave. But as the years go by, Red grows to admire Andy's unwavering hope and determination to prove his innocence. The friendship between Andy and Red is so heartwarming and genuine. They look out for each other and keep each other going through the darkest of times. As you can probably guess, a lot of crazy and intense stuff goes down over the course of the movie's 20-year storyline. There are fights between inmates, corrupt officials taking bribes, and daring escape attempts. Andy's unrelenting quest for justice and freedom creates plenty of suspense and drama. I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the movie, wondering if Andy would make it out or get caught. What I loved most though, is that despite all the darkness and brutality of prison life depicted, The Shawshank Redemption has a powerful message of hope at its core. Andy never surrenders his dream of living as a free man again some day. His positivity and integrity inspire those around him to have hope too, and never give up on a better life, no matter how hopeless their situation may seem. The ending of the movie had me cheering out loud! I don't want to give away too many spoilers, but let's just say Andy's ingenious mind and inner strength allow him to achieve the impossible. Watching him finally taste the fruits of freedom after enduring so much injustice gave me such an amazing, uplifting feeling. I had a huge smile on my face as the movie's closing scenes unfolded.Overall, The Shawshank Redemption is a truly special movie with so much heart, humor, suspense, and life-affirming wisdom packed into it. The performances from the actors like TimRobbins and Morgan Freeman are outstanding. But beyond just being an entertaining film, it shares such an empowering message about persevering through hardship and never letting go of your dreams. I think that's why it has struck such a powerful chord with audiences around the world.I'm really glad my dad insisted I watch The Shawshank Redemption. At first, I thought a nearly 2.5-hour movie about prison would be really depressing and boring. But it ended up being one of the most inspiring and uplifting stories I've ever experienced! It taught me so much about staying hopeful, being brave, cherishing friendship, and never giving up on fighting for what's right. This movie will always hold a special place in my heart. I can't wait to watch it again soon!篇5The Shawshank Redemption: A Movie About Hope and FriendshipHave you ever watched a really good movie and wished you could be friends with the characters? That's how I felt after seeing The Shawshank Redemption. It's a movie about a guy named Andy who goes to prison for something he didn't do. Even though he's in a tough situation, he never gives up hope. That's one of the things I liked most about this movie - it shows that hope is really powerful.Andy gets sent to Shawshank Prison to serve two life sentences for murdering his wife and her lover. But Andy says over and over that he's innocent. From the start, you can tell Andy is different from the other prisoners. He's smart,well-educated, and seems like a nice person who doesn't belong in prison. At first, the other prisoners don't really like Andy. I think they're jealous because he's so smart and doesn't act like a typical criminal. But then Andy starts doing favors for the other inmates and the prison workers. He helps them get useful things from the outside world and does their taxes and other paperwork for them. Slowly, he starts making friends, especially with a guy named Red.Red is one of the first people to be nice to Andy. He takes Andy under his wing and gives him advice about surviving in prison. Red has been in Shawshank for a super long time, so he knows all the tricks. He tells Andy that hope is a dangerous thing and that nobody ever gets out of Shawshank. But Andy refuses to listen - he holds onto his dream of being free one day no matter what.As the years go by, Andy becomes a kind of leader and mentor to the other inmates. He teaches them, gives them advice, and inspires them with his endless hope and determination. He shows them movies, organizes a library, and does anything he can to keep their minds alive and give them things to look forward to. The warden is a mean and corrupt guy, but Andy finds ways to work around him.My favorite scene is when Andy locks himself in the library room and plays a record of opera music over the prison loudspeakers. It's such a beautiful, powerful moment that gives hope to all the prisoners. That's when I really saw how special Andy is. Even when everything seems hopeless, he doesn't give up. His spirit can't be crushed.Eventually, after almost 20 years in prison, Andy does manage to escape in a really clever and daring way. He crawls through a tunnel, using a rock hammer to slowly chip away at the wall over many years. When he finally makes it outside and is a free man again, it's such an amazing feeling of triumph! I was so happy for Andy. The ending is perfect too. Andy meets up with his friend Red on a beach in Mexico, after Red gets released from prison. Their friendship was one of the best parts of the movie for me. Theytruly cared about each other. When Red says that Andy was right all along, that hope is a good thing, maybe the best thing, it made me smile so big.Overall, I loved this movie because it's not just about prison or innocence or escape. It's really about the importance of hope, perseverance, and friendship. Andy and Red showed that the human spirit is almost impossible to break if you have hope inside you. Even in the darkest situations, there are little joys and moments of light you can cling to. Having a loyal friend to share your burdens and dreams with makes all the difference. The Shawshank Redemption inspired me to be more hopeful and keep pushing through hard times in my own life. It taught me about qualities like integrity, courage, patience and resilience.I think those are some of the most important things we can learn, no matter how old we are. And if you ever get the chance to watch this amazing movie, I hope you'll love it as much as I did! Movies don't get much better than this.篇6The Shawshank Redemption: A Movie That Shows the Power of HopeHi there! I'm going to tell you all about one of my favorite movies - The Shawshank Redemption. It's a really old movie that came out way before I was born, but it's still so good! My dad showed it to me a few months ago, and I've watched it like a bazillion times since then. The movie is about a guy named Andy Dufresne, who gets sent to a really tough prison called Shawshank even though he didn't actually do the crime he was accused of. Andy is played by this actor named Tim Robbins, and he's so nice and smart. When he first gets to Shawshank, it's like a total nightmare! The prison guards are mean bullies, and the other inmates are scary tough guys who make Andy's life really hard. But Andy never gives up hope that one day he'll get out of that awful place. That's the coolest thing about him - no matter how bad things get, he always stays positive and keeps fighting. He becomes friends with this other inmate named Red, who's played by Morgan Freeman (he has the most awesome voice ever!). Red gets Andy all sorts of useful things from the outside world, like rock hammers and posters to hang on the walls.Andy is crazy smart, so he helps the prison guards and the warden with their taxes and finances and stuff. He even starts teaching classes to the other inmates so they can get educatedtoo! It's so inspiring how he makes the best out of his terrible situation in prison. But the coolest part is Andy's secret plan to escape from Shawshank. For years and years, he digs a tiny tunnel through the wall of his prison cell, taking it one small step at a time. He's patient and never gives up, even when it seems totally impossible. When he finally makes it out after like twenty years, it's the most amazing and exciting scene! After Andy escapes, he exposes all the crimes and corruption of the evil warden who ran Shawshank. It's so satisfying when the warden gets arrested and Andy is finally a free man again. He made it out because he never stopped dreaming of a better life outside those prison walls. At the end, Andy opens up this amazing beach resort in Mexico with the help of his friend Red. They get to live out their hope and dream that they talked about for so many years in Shawshank. It makes me so happy to see Andy finally free and enjoying paradise after all his struggles. The reason I love The Shawshank Redemption so much is because it shows that no matter how bad life gets, you should never give up hope. Andy went through a crazy nightmare in prison for something he didn't even do, but he never let it breakhis spirit. His hope and determination are what got him through to the beautiful life he deserved in the end.The film reminds me that when things are tough, I shouldn't feel sorry for myself. Instead, I should be brave and hopeful like Andy. I can get through any problem or challenge if I just take it step-by-step and never lose sight of my dreams and goals. Hope is what gives us the courage and strength to keep going when times are darkest. That's why The Shawshank Redemption is more than just a movie to me. It's an inspiring story that will stick with me forever and motivate me to always have hope, no matter what life throws my way. Plus, it has so many awesome characters, exciting scenes, and feelgood moments! If you haven't seen it yet, I super duper recommend checking it out. It's an uplifting tale about hope and friendship that will make you feel amazing after watching it!。
