编制说明

一、目的和意义

为实现广东省公共场所双语标志英文译法使用的准确及统一～需科学、合理地对相关公共场所双语标志的译法进行引导～因此制定本规范。

二、工作简况

《公共场所双语标志英文译法规范》的制定是基于广东国际化建设的实际需要～其编写工作得到广州市外事办、广州市地名办等单位的大力支持。规范从2007

年6月份正式开始编写～由于本规范是公共标志引用的科学依据～为了保证规范的科学性、可用性～项目组主要由广州市标准院的编写团队及外事办的专家团队组成。规范的主要起草人是刘保春、程丽萍、郑钧、蔡若蘅、柳柳、王蕾、余清霞、吴国文。

三、本省的基本情况

验～公共场所双语标志的译法是否得体是城市整体素质的直接展现。广东省的很多公共场所双语标志翻译都存在着问题～译法与中文原意相去甚远～译法的质量亟需进一步的完善、改进。因此～规范公共场所双语标志的英文译法显得迫在眉睫～需尽快借助标准对公示语英文译法进行规范统一～并通过相关部门进行大力推广。公共场所双语标志的英文译法规范将改变目前的水平不一的混乱局面～创造良好的语言环境～使公共场所的双语标志真正做到与国际接轨～对广州市成功举办2010年亚运会以及提升广东的国际大都市形象有着重要而深远的社会意义。

四、主要研究内容

本规范的主要内容包括六个部分:通则、道路交通、医疗卫生、体育场馆、商业服务业、旅游景点。同时～项目组将联合相关单位及专家～按照标准的要求～努力帮助相关行业贯彻标准的实施。

1.通则部分

1,规定标准的基本通用原则～适用于标准的各个部分。

2,内容包括了相关的规范性引用文件、术语和定义、一般要求。其中“一般要求”涵盖了独词、方位词、序数词、冠词和介词、标点符号、警示提示信息、功能设施信息、特殊情况。
