Do not use paper rolls that have the paper glued to the core because the printer cannot detect the paper end correctly.1-5-1 Make sure that the printer is not receiving data; otherwise, data may be lost.1-5-2 Open the paper roll cover by pressing the cover-open button.※ NOTEDo not open the print cover while the printer is operating. Then close the cover.※ NOTEWhen closing the cover, press the center of printer cover firmly to prevent paper miss-loading.1-5-7 Tear off the paper as shown.1-6 Adjustments and SettingsThe Metapace T-3 is set up at the factory to be appropriate for almost all users. It does, however, offer some settings for users with special requirements.It has DIP switches that allow you to change communication settings, such as handshaking and parity check, as well as print density.The Metapace T-3 also has a near-end sensor for the paper. This can give you a warning when the paper is almost out. If you find that there is not enough paper remaining on the roll when the near-end sensor is triggered, you can change the near-end sensor setting. Rotate the near end sensor tab at front or rear position. (See the below figure)1-7 Using the PrinterControl Panel○ POWERThe POWER light is on whenever the printer is on.○ ERRORThis indicates an error.○ PAPERThis light indicates the near end of the paper roll. Install a new paper roll and the printer will continue printing. When the light blinks, it indicates the self-test printing standby state or macro execution Standby state when the macro execution command is used.○ FEEDPress the FEED button once to advance paper one line. You can also hold down the FEED button to feed paper continuously.Near end sensor tab1-8 Connecting the computerYou need an appropriate interface cable.1-8-1 Plug the cable connector securely into the printer’s interface connector.1-8-2 Tighten the screws on both sides of the cable connector.1-8-3 Attach the other end of the cable to the computer.1-9 Connecting the Power Supply※ CAUTIONSWhen connecting or disconnecting the power supply from the printer, make sure that the power supply is not plugged into an electrical outlet. Otherwise you may damage the power supply or the printer.If the power supply’s rated voltage and your outlet’s voltage do not match, contact your dealer for assistance. Do not plug in the power cord. Otherwise, you may damage the power supply or the printer.1-9-1 Make sure that the printer’s power switch is turned off, and the power supply’s power cord is unplugged from the electrical outlet.1-9-2 Check the label on the power supply to make sure that the voltage required by the power supply matches that of your electrical outlet.1-9-3 Plug in the power supply’s cable as shown below. Notice that the flat side of the plug faces down.※ NOTETo remove the DC cable connector, make sure that the power supply’s power cord is unplugged; then grasp the connector at the arrow and pull it straight out.2. Self TestThe self-test checks whether the printer has any problems. If the printer does not function properly, contact your dealer. The self-test checks the following;2-1 Make sure paper roll has been installed properly.2-2 Turn on the power while holding down the FEED button. The self-test begins.2-3 The self-test prints the current printer status, which provides the control ROM version and the DIP switch setting.2-4 After printing the current printer status, self-test printing will print the following, and pause (The PAPER LED light blinks).SELF-TEST PRINTING.PLEASE PRESS THE FEED BUTTON.2-5 Press the FEED button to continue printing.The printer prints a pattern using the built-in character set.2-6 The self-test automatically ends and cuts the paper after printing the following.*** COMPLETED ***2-7 The printer is ready to receive data as soon as it completes the self-test.3. Hexadecimal DumpingThis feature allows experienced users to see exactly what data is coming to the printer. This can be useful in finding software problems. When you turn on the hexadecimal dump function, the printer prints all commands and data in hexadecimal format along with a guide section to help you find specific commands.To use the hexadecimal dump function, follow these steps.3-1 After you make sure that the printer is off, open the cover.3-2 Turn on the printer, while holding down the FEED button.3-3 Close the cover, then the printer enters the hexadecimal dump mode.3-4 Run any software program that sends data to the printer. The printer will print all the codes it receives in a two-column format. Turn off switch from any hazard.5. Appendix5-1 Cleaning PrinterPaper dust inside the printer may lower the print quality. In this case clean the printer as follows.5-1-1 Open the printer cover and remove the paper if exists.5-1-2 Clean the print head with a cotton swab moistened with alcohol solvent.5-1-3 Clean the platen roller and paper end sensor with cotton swab moistened with water. 5-1-4 Insert a paper roll and close the printer cover.The remained amount of paper detected by paper near end sensor varies with the diameter of the paper core.To adjust the remained amount, contact your dealer.5-2 Printing SpeedWhen the paper is about to run out, the printing speed may become slower while printing. Press the Push button, open and then close the cover to print at the normal speed until all the paper is used.5-3 Using Wall MountPlease disable the near end paper function by making dip switch 2-7 on when you use the printer in wall mount position where the near end paper function will not work well.。

When the printer is power off,press LF key and meanwhile power on,release the key,the printer will print self test paper.二、打印机设置（LF键为指示灯）Printer setting(LF key is indicator light)打印机在关机状态下，按住LF键同时给打印机上电，停顿5秒后松手，打印机进入设置模式，并打印出设置报告，见下（按键次数对应选择设置项前面序号）：When the printer is power off,press LF key and meanwhile power on,release after 5 seconds,the printer will enter intosetting mode,and it will print out setting report,see below(the number of pressing key will be equal to the below according item number):（1）退出设置模式exit setting mode（2）恢复默认配置recover default 第2章 操作说明2.1开机持续按住电源开关（面板左键）3秒钟，电源打开。
工作状态指示灯闪亮。
少于3秒钟电源不动作。
2.2关机在开机状态，按压电源开关（面板左键）3秒钟，电源关闭，工作状态指示灯熄灭。

2.3走纸按压走纸键（面板右键），按下开始进纸，放开停止进纸。

Detailed Windows Driver SettingsThe following functions can be set in detail after the Windows Driver installation is complete.5-1 Paper Supply MethodThe printer structure is such that the print head, which carries out printing, and the cutter, which cuts the printing paper, are separated. After printing, the location of the end section can be adjusted as follows.- Automatically Select: Select the “Receipt[Partial cut]” automatically.- Receipt[Partial cut]: After printed text is transferred up to the cutter (auto cutter),a paper is cut by auto cutter.- Receipt[No cut]: Printed text is transferred up to the cutter (manual cutter).- Receipt[Partial cut without paper feeding]: A paper is cut by auto cutter withoutpaper feeding.- Receipt [No feed]: Printed text is transferred up to the next line only.(minimum transfer: 0x0A).- Form[No Cut]: For long print jobs, printed text is transferred according to the Receipt option per selected paper size.- Form[Partial Cut]: For long print jobs, printed text is transferred and cut according tothe Receipt option per selected paper size.Detailed setting can be done as follows.1) Open the printer properties window in the Windows OS.2) Click the “Printing Preferences” button in the ”General” tab.The button name varies by Windows OS. After all images stored on the corresponding printer are deleted, the image is downloaded. 打印方式：行式热敏；
在使用红外方式打印时，在打印过程中要将主设备的红外窗口对准打印机的红外视窗，距离不能超过50厘米，角度不能超过30度，否则可能导致打印乱码或无法打印。
虽然打印机可以在-10℃到50℃稳定工作，但过高的环境温度（45℃）或过低的环境温度（5℃）会导致打印质量降低。
过高的环境湿度（85％相对湿度以上）或过低的环境湿度（20％相对湿度以下）会导致打印质量降低。

用户拿到打印机后，可以随时对打印机进行自检，以检测打印机当前的设置和状态。
自检的方法如下：关机（如果打印机处于开机状态的话），然后按住走纸键【FEED】，再按电源【POWER】键开机，打印机即会打印出自检页，自检页中包含当前打印机的状态及打印机设置和打印的范例。

不要将电池投入火中，不要将电池短路、拆散或加热，否则可能导致电池漏液、起火甚至爆炸。
电池中的液体具有腐蚀性，如果操作不慎导致电池漏液并将液体粘到皮肤或衣物上，请立即用清水洗掉，如不慎进入眼睛内，请立即用大量清水彻底冲洗眼睛并去看医生。
打印时或刚打印结束时不要开启纸仓盖，用手或身体的任何部位接触打印机芯，以免过高的温度导致烫伤。
使用注意事项打印机不可浸入水中，也不要将其长时间暴露在雨中，否则可能导致打印机损坏。
打印过程中不得打开纸仓盖，否则可能导致打印机工作不正常。
在使用串口打印时，在打印过程中不能将串口线拔下，否则可能导致打印数据不完整。
在使用红外方式打印时，在打印过程中要将主设备的红外窗口对准打印机的红外视窗，距离不能超过50厘米，角度不能超过30度，否则可能导致打印乱码或无法打印。
