The Gaokao is supposed to be crazy hard, with hours and hours of testing over several days. My older cousins who took it looked like zombies afterwards! But my mom and dad promised to take me to get hot pot if I did a good job, so I agreed to give it a try. We practiced English reading, writing, and listening skills every night for weeks beforehand.Finally the big day arrived! I was so nervous when I woke up that I could barely eat any congee for breakfast. My stomach felt like there were a thousand butterflies fluttering around in it. I find it incredible that these massive felines can take down huge prey like zebras, wildebeests, and even giraffes. The way they work together as a coordinated team to stalk and ambush their prey is just amazing.
