1The fast increase in the number of cars havebrought along many related problems which are wellworth our greatest attention.First of all, urban traffic is getting from bad to worse. I’d like to cite my own experience asan example. Five years ago, it took me about 30 minutes to drive from home to office. Oneyear later, I needed to spend about 40 minutes on the way. Then two years later, I had tostart out from home at least 1 hour earlier in order to get to my office on good time for work. And then, since last year, it has just been too normal for me to spend about one and half hoursto make it. The traffic just moves like a worm!Second, with the ever growing number of cars, air quality in urban areas is deterioratingwith each passing day. We used to see clear blue sky and breathe fresh air, but now this wouldbe a real luxury. Car exhaust has seriously polluted the air and people’s health is greatlyendangered. It seems certain that we human beings have already made a fatal mistake thatcould only be remedied by bringing down the number of cars hugely.Sure, we can not deny the fact that cars have brought us speed, comfort and greatermobility. However, these have already been history. We are suffering much more from carsthan benefiting from them. Our health conditions are going downrapidly both due to thepolluted air that we have to breathe every second and our lack of exercise as a result of theever increasing amount of time we have to spend behind the wheel! What can we do? From the foregoing discussion, I’m sure we have already found asolution: to discourage people to use cars! I know very well that science and technology arealso developing very fast and there might be better solutions coming up in the future, but, before that, let’s first salvage ourselves in such a passive way! 2Ironically,we, human beings, are now facing a series of environment-related issues ranging from various contamination to global warming to the depletion of natural resources although our economy keeps on prospering. As to how to address environmental issues, an opinion seems to enjoy great popularity that personal efforts are too trivial to optimize our living surroundings, however, the issue is surely relevant to each individual citizen. No matter how small personal involvement in environmental conservation might be, it is the unshakable obligation of every individual to safeguard the environment. The amelioration of the environment should and could be realized by every kind of little effort. A number of examples might justify my stand, instead of depending on private cars excessively, the public should be inspired to take public transit, walk on foot or ride bicycles, which could mitigate the pollution induced by public transport. Imaginably, we could enjoy a cleaner and quieter environment if there are few vehicles on the roads. Meanwhile, provided that we have to utilize personal cars, it is highly recommend that we should purchase and drive compact cars or full-cell-driven cars. Also, raising the environmental protection awareness and fostering eco-friendly lifestyle should be advocated among every individual. More precisely, we could reduce the frequency of use of paper and do more on-line reading, we could visit places of interest close to home instead of traveling far away to remote tourist attractions and we could save electricity and cherish water such as turning on the air conditioning only when we have to, or turning off water tap tightly.Granted, I have to admit that some severe environmental pollution, such as global warming or sea contamination, might fail to be resolved only by personal effort. In this sense, the role of governments in environmental management is challenging but inescapable because the government is the only legalized institution that may formulate legislations related to environmental problems. However, I want to rebut that without the cooperation, participation, and honest hard work of every individual, every governmental policy relating to greenism will end up becoming useless and meaningless.Overall,I re-affirm my stand that no matter how tiny personal efforts might be, they still work. After all, governmental policy depends on the implementation of every eco-friendly person. The earth is our shared home and every one of us should assume the responsibility of safeguarding it, not only for ourselves but also for the later generations.。

环境1.The international community must act immediately to ensure that all countries reduce their consumption of fossil fuels, such as gas and oil. To what extent do you agree or disagree? It is argued that the International Community should put more efforts to encourage all countries in the world to decrease their fossil fuel ’ sutilization such as gas, oil, and coal. Personally, I strongly agree with this idea for many reasons. The most important thing we should mention is that fossil fuels ’consumption in all over the world is considered to be the main culprit of global warming and other environmental problems. First of all, it can be undeniable that burning oil and coal in domestic and industrial activitiesis producing tons of carbon dioxide and other detrimental chemical substances per year. Moreover, with the fast-developing pace of life and overpopulation, a significant number of transportations are being used, which is generating exhausted fumes and green-house gases in most of nations in the world. That ’thes reasons why a huge number of environmental issues are alarmingly emerging recently such as global warming, ice melting in all poses, sea level rising and the other severe weather conditions.Besides, it is clearly seen that the amount of fossil fuels in all over theworld are restricted and nonrenewable. Each kind of fossil fuels energies needs millions of years to form, thus, with an enormous human beings demand, it will result in energy depletion in the near future. Furthermore, technologies producing alternative power resources have not reached the point in which people in all countries of the world can use renewable energies replacing fossil fuels. Not all of nations can have enoughfinancial and technological resources to invest in alternative power resources, so that the use of these energies is extremely expensive. Ultimately, because of the energy shortages, industrial activities andglobal economic development will experience negative and pessimistic impacts. In conclusion, I will reaffirm that International Community should take actions urgently to decrease the consumption of fossil fuels and other harmful energy in all nations.2.In some countries there is not enough recycling of waste materials (e.g. paper, glass and cans). What are the reasons and solutions?Waste recycling and people’ s participation in it is a moot issue and a lotof arguments could be observed among people as well as in the media regarding whether people should spontaneously take part in recycling process or the government should make it a legal obligation. I personally believe that government should impose laws and severely fine the violation of it to ensure proper waste recycling.First, waste recycling is done by the state and citizens are expected to properly divide the recyclable and non-recyclable wastages and pack them accordingly while dumping them in recycle bins. They are expected to cooperate greatly in the recycling process. However, it is a strange fact that many people do not participate in it spontaneously either from their negligence or from their lack of time to do so.Second, it is a harsh truth that people in many cases abide by a rule only from the concern of punishment or fine, not from their conscience. For instance, when the penalty for traffic rule violation went up, people started following them in my city. Similarly, if laws are introduced and the authority starts penalizing, more people would recycle more of their wastages.Third, waste recycling is a very handy process to save our environment and we already have many rules to protect our environment. While deforesting is a severe crime in my country, there is no visible law for not recycling the waste. This is why people are very careless about their waste production and this has created a throwaway society in our country. This is why proper laws are required. In conclusion, most of the citizens in our country already know about the importance of saving the environment and how individual efforts of recycling can improve environmental conditions. Since many of them still do not participate in waste recycling, there is no alternative than to impose laws to have this done.3.The natural resources such as oil, forests and fresh water are being consumed at an alarming rate. What danger is caused? How can we solve these problems? The depletion of consumable natural resources at an accelerated speed is a matter of grave concern since it has given birth to several problems in the world. Nevertheless, these issues can be resolved by taking some effective remedial steps. The reduction in the green cover has had a negative effect on earth ’ s weather conditions. To elaborate, forests help to maintain the temperature of earth. The cutting down of trees at a fast pace for fulfilling human greed has created a climatic imbalance in the last ten years. One of thebiggest consequences of global warming is that our summers are getting hotter and hotter.Further, because of the depletion of fresh water resources, people are now forced to buy drinking water. The poor and the weaker sections of the society are the worst hit by the water crisis. Consequently, many people are dying due to lack of drinking water in African states and several others are left with only contaminated water for their daily use. Depleting oil resources also have had a negative impact on the automobile industry which relies almost wholly on oil for its operation. However, some viable solutions do exist and it is possible to solve the aforementioned problems to a great extent. First, cutting down of trees should be checked, and industries which use wood for manufacturing their products, such as furniture and houses, should be encouraged to findeco-friendly alternatives. Second, the government and the media should launch campaigns that make people aware of the importance of saving water. It is also important to set a limit on the amount of water that can be used for domestic and industrial purposes. Third, scientists should be encouraged to find renewable fuels for vehicles. For instance, chargeable electric cars are gaining popularity in the US because they are eco-friendly and economical. In conclusion, although the fast paced consumption of natural resources has directly influenced the climate of earth, the collaborative efforts of governments, scientists and the public can reduce the impact.4.Development in science and technology have caused environmental problems. Some people think that a simpler way of life will protect the environment, while others believe that science and technology can solve environmental problems. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.People argue about the negative effect of technology on the environment.A group of people think that rather than following the development of technology, we should have a simpler way of life. However, others disagree as they believe that technology could address environmental issues. On the one hand, it is undeniable that the rapid development of technology has caused some environmental problems. Many inventions are beneficial for human beings, but they have a catastrophic effect on the environment. For example, the invention of cars that use fossil fuel has caused some serious effect on the world. The cars produce carbon monoxide which is not only dangerous for living creatures, but it alsobecomes the main cause of global warming. Therefore, some people believe that we should change our lifestyle into a simpler one. One of the ways is by using a friendly environmental transportation such as using a bicycle to commute. On the other hand, other people believe that technology could be used as a way to resolve environmental problems. As we can see that one of the biggest threat to the earth civilization is the usage of the plastic bag. The waste of plastic bags has become a big issue, as they could only be composed for about ten decades. However, with the new technology, scientists have found a new way of producing plastic bags. With the new formula, plastic bags could be recycled; therefore it would resolve one of the environmental issues. In my opinion, I do believe that technology is beneficial for human beings if we used it wisely and proportionately. I personally believe that research for new technology should be continued, as we need to have improvements in life, but the government should review and monitor this research properly.5.Some people think that the amount of noise people make should be controlled strictly, while others say people are free to make as much noise as they wish. Discuss both these views and give your opinion. It is often considered by many that they can make noises as they wish, while other people believe that there should have strict rules to control the amount of noise individual makes. In my opinion, I think noise pollution causes ample social and physical issues, hence it should be controlled. On the one hand, freedom to speak and making noise is one of the human rights. In other words, every citizen has a right to make sounds or noise as they prefer. For instance, in some special events such as birthday celebrations, dancing parties making noise is accepted in the current society. Moreover, making sounds is often considered as accepted behavior especially among small children. Making noise provides enjoyment among people obviously during joyful occasions. It helps to ventilate one ’ s emotions, particularly anger and sorrow. On the other hand, noise pollution is often accepted as one of the major concerns of the current world due to several drawbacks. Firstly, unpleasant sound causes ample health issues. For instance, the high-intensity sound could cause increased stress level, deafness, and cardiovascular problems and even sleep disturbances. Secondly, noise would often affect wild life. Animals would probably develop aggressive behavior and get irritated due to the high-frequency of unpleasant sounds. To cite an example, during thunder and lightning pet animals became frustrated as a result of high pitch sounds. Finally, it leads to trouble communicating. In other sense, communication between individuals becomes difficult owing to noise from the surrounding. In other words, communication gets distracted. In conclusion, the noise would adversely affect society and one’ sbody .Hence, necessary steps to be taken to control it. In my opinion, people should abide rules to control noise formation for the welfare of the society and inhabitants.6.Scientists and tourists can travel to remote natural environments such as the South Pole. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?Natural places like the South Pole have become attractive to scientists and tourists recently. However, whether the trend will have any negative influence on the local environments remains a controversial issue. I agree with the view that if they can abide by certain rules during their stay, the advantages should outweigh the disadvantages.Firstly, it is obvious that for scientists, going to less known natural environments can make a difference in their researches. This is because these places have distinct eco-systems which are good resources for scientists to explore and expand their knowledge in different areas. Normally, researchers will collect samples, take pictures and observe the environment in order to achieve certain research goals. Moreover, for tourists, top advantage is that they get to see distinctive scenery which cannot be compared to other places they have been to. This could be once-in-a-life-time experience as not many people can afford or get the chance to experience an extraordinary side of nature, such as the South Pole which cannot be duplicated in the other parts of the Earth. That does not mean that there is no drawbacks of the practice. If these activities are not deliberately planned out, local scenery spots can be affected when perilous experiments are done in places where the eco-system is fragile to human activities, or at least make endless noise, leave trash everywhere. Consequently the loss will be immense. In sum, visiting remote natural places is definitely beneficial to both scientists and visitors; meanwhile, these new comers need to restrict their behaviors. Only by doing so will the pros outweigh the cons.7. With the increasing demand of energy sources of oil and gas, peopleshould look for sources of oil and gas in remote and untouched natural places. Do the advantages outweigh disadvantages of damaging such areas? It is suggested that people should search for energy and natural resources in distant and inhospitable areas to cater to the growing needfor oil and gas. This essay believes that the benefits of exploiting remote places do not outweigh the drawbacks simply because the environment itself is far more important than human desire. The main reason to extract oil and gas from untouched places is that most easily accessible sources of oil and gas have already been developed. This means human are draining the earth and will probably never be satisfied. Meanwhile, the main disadvantage is that extracting these sources can result in permanent damage to the environment, which can be devastating to the wildlife and human who depend on these ecosystems. Another negative view is that we cannot rule out the possibility of tragedies likeoil spills, pipeline leaks and even shipping accidents. These contaminants pose a serious threat to the sensitive species and habitats since tons of harmful pollutants will be released in the air and all the toxic chemicals will be discharged into the water, which in turn, will undoubtedly bring severe punishment to human themselves. Those opposed to this say that remote places shall be benefited with boost economy and more job opportunities. However, this standpoint can be seen in an opposite way. With large-scale infrastructures being constructed as well as more roads and buildings being built for workers, the biodiversity and ecosystem are surely at greater risk. Therefore, economy development in such areas cannot be stimulated this way.In conclusion, the advantages of exploiting distant places are overshadowed by the drawbacks. It is not sensible also morally flawed to stake our environment for progress, let alone to fulfill our own needs.8. Some people think that environmental problems are too big for individuals to solve. Others, however, believe that these problems cannot be solved if individuals do not take actions. Discuss both these viewsand give your own opinion.Environmental problems have dramatically increased over the last few years. Population change and other problems such as pollution, deforestation have further exacerbated the situation. Some peopleargue that these problems are too large to be addressed by individual being. I believe that it is a mutual responsibility of both individuals and countries to take pragmatic measures for its solution.Overpopulation is one of the pivotal reasons that have detrimental effects on the environment. Increase in population demand more food resources and living space. For instance, for the sake of accommodation many natural parks and forests have been wiped out to fulfil the need of living space. This has led to severe consequences that could damage both for the people and the environment.Individual efforts can contribute a lot to address the pressing environmental problems. Steps taken in individual level can be an effective solution for the world. For example, if the government of a country takes initiatives to reduce the rubbish produced daily, can ’dot much. However, if the citizens take effort from their personal level, the rubbish production could be controlled observably. Similarly, if administration of a country starts planting trees, the effort would not go further without the collaboration of the individuals.Pollution is also a great menace to the environment. It is not only the reason of environmental problems but also has a dire effect on people. Factories operating within cities emit dangerous smoke and others harmful toxic. Furthermore, pollution also contributes to global warming. There has been a drastic increase in temperature around the globe, which in turn, melts glaciers across the world. That is why prudent decisions are required from the government level and the ordinary citizens should be encouraged and participate in every way possible to make the world a better place to live in.To sum up, I would like to say that environmental problems should be addressed on large scale. Everyone have to contribute in order to mitigate its vulnerable effects on the world.9.Some people think that too much attention and too many resources have been given to the protection of wild animals and birds. To what extent do you agree or disagree? The habitat conditions of wildlife, particularly those endangered species have been significantly improved due to relentless efforts from animal protectionists. However, some people think it is unwise to allocate too many resources to wildlife conservation. It is easy to understand people ’consideration. One the one hand, it istrue that wild animals and birds of rare species are well protected in some developed countries where large natural preserves are well built and maintained. Tourists are more civilized and laws have been establishedto ban abuse or murdering of animals. On the other hand, there are still people starving and being deprived of basic sanitary conditions aroundthe world. For many people, It is justified that people's wellbeing shouldbe taken into consideration before animals are taken good care of. However, it is not always the same case all around the world and wild animals are still being hunted and slaughtered inhumanely in many places. Although there are laws that forbid poaching rare animals, endangered animals are still seen on dining table as gourmet dishes. Besides, as people's preference for leather products as fashion continues, each year hundreds of thousands of tigers and seals are shot to death and illegal profits are gained from fur trades. What is worse, wildlife habit is rapidly disappearing due to development and other human-caused changes. Considering all these factors, it is hard to say that too much has been done to protect wild animals. In conclusion, I think preserving wild animals is necessary and calls for efforts from both governments and individual citizens. While progresshas been made during the past decades to provide livable habitats for those endangeredspecies, there is still a long way to go before we canlive harmony with our wild neighbors.。

In modern times, our planet is facing some serious environmental problems, and it's high time we paid more attention to this.Let's first talk about why environmental protection is so crucial. Well, the Earth is like our big, beautiful home. If we mess it up, we'rebasically kicking ourselves out of a comfy place to live. For example, air pollution is a real pain in the neck. You know those days when you can hardly breathe because the air is so thick and smelly? That's not only uncomfortable but also really bad for our health. People can get all sortsof diseases like asthma and lung cancer just from breathing in polluted air.And then there's water pollution. Water is life. We need it to drink,to wash, and for all kinds of things. But when factories dump their waste into rivers and oceans without a second thought, it's like they're pouring poison into our water supply. Think about all the poor fish and other aquatic animals. They're just trying to live their lives, but instead, they end up swimming in a cesspool of chemicals. It's not fair to them, and it also affects the whole food chain. If the fish are sick or dying, what's going to happen to the bigger animals that eat them, and ultimately, to us?So, what can we do about it? There are actually quite a few things that each of us can do. For starters, we can reduce waste. Instead of throwing away everything that we don't need immediately, we can try to reuse or recycle things. For example, those old plastic bottles can be turned into something cool like a DIY flower pot or a pen holder. It's like giving them a new life.Another thing is to save energy. We can turn off the lights when we leave a room. It's such a simple thing, but it can make a big difference ifeveryone does it. Also, we can use more energy efficient appliances. You know, those modern fridges or washing machines that use less electricity. It's like they're the environmental friendly superheroes of our homes. On a bigger scale, the government also has a huge role to play. They can make strict laws to control pollution. For example, they can fine those factories that violate environmental regulations heavily. And they can also invest more money in developing clean energy sources like solar power and wind power. Imagine a world where all our electricity comes from the sun and the wind. It would be so much cleaner and better for the environment. In conclusion, environmental protection is not just a fancy slogan. It's something that affects every single one of us, from the air we breathe to the water we drink. We all need to do our part, whether it's by making small changes in our daily lives or by pushing for bigger changes at a national or even global level. Only in this way can we ensure that our planet remains a beautiful and habitable place for generations to come.。

1With the improvement of our living standard, more and more people can afford a car. As a result, our roads are more often than not crammed with cars. However, with more and more waste gas being discharged by the cars, the problem of air pollution becomes even more serious. So nowadays we advocate to lead a low-carbon life.My suggestion is we should ride bikes more often instead of driving cars.By riding a bike, we can not only exercise our body but also protect our environment. why not have a try, my dear friends? Now, our side of the car constant more up, the environment also increasingly worse! That the air around us there are many harmful substances. Therefore, we want to Sue around things start to do. For example, we can go to school by bike or walk, it can exercise. If you have time can use less elevator, many climb stairs. we can not only physical exercise, but also to protect our environment. 2The area of desert in the world is growing every year. Many parts of the world which once had large populations and produced plenty of crops, have become deserts. Dunhuang inChina, deep in the heart of the Gebi Desert, was once a great city.Cattle are one cause of the problem. In good years, famers increase the numbers of their cattle. Then one year, the rains fail to come. The farmers do not want to kill any of their cattle, so the cattle eat ail the grass and anything that grows on poorer land. If this continues for several years, the grass never grows again and the land becomes a desert. One suggested answer is for farmers to limit the numbers of their cattle.Another problem is that good soil is gradually lost. when trees are cut down, there is nothing to hold the soil in place on the hillside. So when if rains, the soil is washed down the hills and into the rivers. Strong winds can also blow away the valuable soil that lies on the top of the fields. 3My classmates and I had a tour this spring. We had a good time. But meanwhile I knew that environmental pollution in our country was becoming more and more serious. On our way, we could see women washing clothes in the river. Litter was floating on the river. Waste water produced by a chemical factory was being discharged into the river. We did not see any fish in the river. The river was not so clear as before. Water quality was very bad. I am worried about it because water is important to all living things. Man can not live without water.I hope people pay more attention to this problem, especially the government. Try to control the pollution of water as early as possible. At last I would like to say, "To protect environment is to protect life." 4Once upon a time, there was a clean river. The animals liked it.One day at noon, the river burst into tears. Then the little white rabbit passed by the river and said, "what's the matter with you?" The river cried, "that day, the pig had a bad smell, and it came to bathe here. Since then, it has come here every day to bathe, so every day there is a bad smell. The little white rabbit say: "you go to wait for a while, I go to call the cow chairman to make the judgment."The next day, after the chairman's judgment, everyone thought the pig did wrong and asked the pig to apologize. The pig walked over in embarrassment and said, "I'm sorry." The river did not say anything, just smiled. "Come on, let's clean it!" Said the pig. The animals hurried to clean the stream.Since then, the river has never been dirty again.雅思保护环境英语作文篇5Let the sky blue, let the water clear, let the animals live freely - this is my common desire. However, our hometown is increasingly polluted by the environment. For example, on my way to school, I saw some workers burning plastic bags and foam containers. I stepped forward to stop them, but they said, "baby, don't mind your own business." I walked on with disappointment. At this moment, a gust of wind blew, I smelt a bad smell, I looked back, a black smoke rose up into the sky.。

The impact of the built environment on human behavior and well-being is a multifaceted issue that has been extensively studied in various disciplines. Environmental psychologists, architects, and sociologists have conducted numerous experiments and observations to understand how the physical surroundings shape our thoughts, emotions, and actions.Numerous studies have shown that the design of buildings, public spaces, and urban areas can have significant effects on human behavior. For example, researchers have found that exposure to natural environments, such as parks and gardens, can reduce stress levels, improve mood, and promote physical activity. Conversely, exposure to polluted air or congested urban environments can have negative effects on health and well-being.The built environment can also influence social interactions and community cohesion. For instance, public spaces that are designed to encourage interaction, such as plazas or community gardens, can foster a sense ofbelonging and reduce social isolation. On the other hand, isolated or poorly designed public spaces can lead to alack of social engagement and a sense of alienation. The impact of the built environment extends to the workplace as well. Studies have demonstrated thatworkplaces that are designed to promote employee well-being, such as those with natural light, comfortable temperatures, and ergonomic furniture, can improve productivity andreduce absenteeism. Conversely, poorly designed workplaces can lead to increased stress, fatigue, and health problems. In conclusion, the design of the built environmentplays a crucial role in shaping human behavior and well-being. By understanding the principles of environmental psychology, architects and urban planners can create environments that promote physical, mental, and socialhealth.

Well, you know, when it comes to the relationship between an individual and the environment, it's like a really interesting and super important story. I mean, we are all like little cogs in this huge environmental machine.

Let's start with how we individuals can have an impact on the environment. I'll give you an example from my own life. I used to be a real sucker for those plastic water bottles. You know, just grabbing one every time I was thirsty on the go. But then I realized that I was contributingto this massive plastic waste problem. Every single plastic bottle I threw away was like a little environmental villain that could stay around for hundreds of years. So, I made a change. I got myself a really cool reusable water bottle. It's not just practical, but it also makes me feel like I'm some kind of environmental superhero, like Captain Planet or something. And that's just one small thing. Think about all the other ways we can affect the environment. When we drive cars all the time, especially those big gas guzzlers, we're pumping out all kinds of harmful emissions into the air. It's like we're slowly choking the planet. But if we choose to walk, cycleor use public transport more often, we can give the air a bit of a breather.Another thing is food waste. I'm guilty of this too sometimes. You buy all this food with good intentions, but then some of it just goes bad inthe fridge. And when food rots in landfills, it produces methane, which isa really powerful greenhouse gas. So, now I'm trying to be more careful about what I buy and make sure I use up everything I have.

1You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.Write about the following topic:The earth is being filled with waste material such as plastic bags and other rubbish. Is this really happening? What are some solutions to this problem?Gives reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.Write at least 250 words.model answer:Over the past few decades, the increasing amount of industrial wastes and household garbage has become a major problem in many countries. People have questioned what caused this problem and what can be done to improve the situation. In my opinion, two of the most critical causes of this waste material problem are the increased consumption and a shortage of space for landfill. To begin with, modern lifestyle has contributed greatly to the increasing amount of waste and garbage we produce everyday. In other words, we have turned into a materialistic and mass-consumption society where we use more and throw away more than ever before. Moreover, countries are running out of spaceto store garbage and waste material. In fact, securing land for waste disposal raises controversies in many countries. To solve this intractable problem, every citizen needs to participate in producing less garbage. For example, we can bring our own personal shopping bags instead of using plastic bags provided by stores and shops. Besides, the government can enforce stricter laws on companies to use biodegradable packaging or use recycled material. Indeed, this alone can eliminate much of the waste which is sent to at land fills. Companies can also contribute by developing new raw material which is recyclable and will ultimately lead to less garbage. One good example of this is that tire companies develop new tires for cars which are not made of rubber but of new biodegradable material. As discussed above, individuals, business and the government can share the responsibility to reduce the amount of waste material and to save the earth. I hope that in the future our offspring will be better off with the well-preserved environment. 2Environmental hazards are often too great for particular countries or individuals to tackle. We have arrived at a point in time where the only way to lessen environmental problems is at an international level.Environmental problems have reached such proportions that people feel international organizations must be set up to intervene in world affairs to resolve these problems. Whether this will resolve the problem is very unlikely as international organizations are just an extension of human behavior. That is, if human conflicts cannot be resolved at home, then they are unlikely to be resolved at the international level. Nevertheless, international organizations do attract attention to the growing problem of aims of the international community to resolve the issue of environmental pollution and support their cause, I do not believe it is the best or only way to protect the environment; in fact, it is only a small part of what is needed in a global initiative. All world problems, whether it is environmental pollution, war, energy insufficiency, or famine, arise from the abusive behavior of all individuals. Therefore, the solution to all these problems is the need for a collective consciousness. What is meant by this is that each individual must be aware of the impact he or she has on the world and their unique part to play in this world. After all, if one is happy with his life, he will surely not endeavor to harm the environment or anyone else. His behavior will be that of a responsible individual. What is needed, therefore, is education. Education is the key to all problems and it starts from pregnancy all the way to adulthood and beyond. Furthermore, education means that children all over the world should be allowed to go to schools with good teachers and where teaching materials and methods can be adapted to each individual. Education means raising children to be responsible individuals. This may sound like utopia, but it is not: if a country had important problems in its educational system, then it should realize that it is contributing to the worlds problems. These are perhaps long term solutions, but they are more realistic solutions than setting up yet another international organization. 3The area of desert in the world is growing every year. Many parts of the world which once had large populations and produced plenty of crops, have become deserts. 4There are still many problems of environmental protection in recent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. the polluted air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. what is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities. To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today. In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more peoplemeans more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. we should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves. 5With the improvement of our living standard, more and more people can afford a car. As a result, our roads are more often than not crammed with cars. However, with more and more waste gas being discharged by the cars, the problem of air pollution becomes even more serious. Green environmental protection starts from me. Mydad used to drive his car to work, listen to my advice, to protect the environment, he ride a bike from now on, he thought that not only the exercise of his body, also for the green environmental protection. My mother began to contribute to the green environmental protection. Before she went to vegetable market to buy food, she used plastic bags, a village green environmental protection propaganda on TV, she understood the green environmental protection is sustainable, in order to we can have a better environment. In order to we live healthier lives, so mom from that moment on, every day go to vegetable market with the own basket, instead of plastic bags.As a new era of junior middle school students, and I will response to the green environmental protection call for, I had at school are all use one-off chopsticks, but now I can bring their own chopsticks to school. I think, though this is a small matter, but I do my responsibility.Happiness of life to let China land everyone be permeated with happy smile, rich products, long history, noble quality, the plot environment. Nowadays, the environment is polluted, the green environmental protection starts from me, let us together to protect the environment! 7Environmental problems are as big as not for individual country or individual people to address. In other word, we have reached the stage that environmental problems be solved for international view. To what extent do you agree or disagree? In recent years, many nations have become more aware of the environmental issues each nation faces, such as air and water pollution. The question is, are the environmental issues a nationalproblem or an international problem? It is my belief that the environmental issues have grown to the point of becoming an international problem needing international cooperation to resolve. Because of the differences in environmental policies, resources and technology, international cooperation could provide quicker results and have a greater impact on bringing resolution to environmental problems for nations of differing environmental policies and of lesser resources and technology. By pooling international resources and technology to address the environmental problems, the disadvantaged nations are provided the assistance needed. Otherwise their environmental conditions deteriorate ultimately affecting the resources and environment of the world as a whole. One of the difficulities to an international resolution to environmental issues is the difference in individual nations view and policies toward environmental protection. In order for international cooperation to occur and succeed, the nations of the world must submit themselved to international standards and supervision by an international commission elected by the participating nations of the world. All members must agree to abide by the standards established. The environmental issues facing each country are not unrelated to the well being of the rest of the world. The impact is long term and international in scope. Without international cooperation and agreement to address such environmental issues as glacial melting at the South Pole, depletion of the ozone layer, water pollution, air polution, etc., the environmental conditions of the world will deteriorate to the detriment of every nation, not just those that ignore or lack the resources and technology to resolve their individual environmental problems. As part of the same planet, it is the responsibility of each individual and nation to protect the global environment. Only international cooperation will provide the timely solutions and the effectiveness needed to stop the deteriorating global environment.。

1.The international community must act immediately to ensure that all countries reduce their consumption of fossil fuels, such as gas and oil. To what extent do you agree or disagree? It is argued that the International Community should put more efforts to encourage all countries in the world to decrease their fossil fuel ’ s utilization such as gas, oil, and coal. That ’sthe reasons why a huge number of environmental issues are alarmingly emerging recently such as global warming, ice melting in all poses, sea level rising and the other severe weather conditions.Besides, it is clearly seen that the amount of fossil fuels in all over the world are restricted and nonrenewable. Not all of nations can have enough financial and technological resources to invest in alternative power resources, so that the use of these energies is extremely expensive. Ultimately, because of the energy shortages, industrial activities and global economic development will experience negative and pessimistic impacts. In conclusion, I will reaffirm that International Community should take actions urgently to decrease the consumption of fossil fuels and other harmful energy in all nations.2.In some countries there is not enough recycling of waste materials (e.g. paper, glass and cans). What are the reasons and solutions?Waste recycling and people ’ s participation in it is a moot issue and a lot of arguments could be observed among people as well as in the media regarding whether people should spontaneously take part in recycling process or the government should make it a legal obligation. I personally believe that government should impose laws and severely fine the violation of it to ensure proper waste recycling.First, waste recycling is done by the state and citizens are expected to properly divide the recyclable and non-recyclable wastages and packthem accordingly while dumping them in recycle bins. They are expectedto cooperate greatly in the recycling process. However, it is a strange factthat many people do not participate in it spontaneously either from their negligence or from their lack of time to do so.Second, it is a harsh truth that people in many cases abide by a rule onlyfrom the concern of punishment or fine, not from their conscience. For instance, when the penalty for traffic rule violation went up, peoplestarted following them in my city. Similarly, if laws are introduced and the authority starts penalizing, more people would recycle more of their wastages.Third, waste recycling is a very handy process to save our environmentand we already have many rules to protect our environment. While deforesting is a severe crime in my country, there is no visible law for not recycling the waste. This is why people are very careless about theirwaste production and this has created a throwaway society in our country. This is why proper laws are required. In conclusion, most of the citizens in our country already know about the importance of saving the environment and how individual efforts of recycling can improve environmental conditions. Since many of them stilldo not participate in waste recycling, there is no alternative than to impose laws to have this done.3.The natural resources such as oil, forests and fresh water are being consumed at an alarming rate. The cutting down of trees at a fast pace for fulfilling h uman’s greed has created a climatic imbalance in the last ten years. One of the biggest consequences of global warming is that our summers are getting hotter and hotter.Further, because of the depletion of fresh water resources, people are now forced to buy drinking water. The cars produce carbon monoxide which is not only dangerous for living creatures, but it also becomes the main cause of global warming. In my opinion, I do believe that technology is beneficial for humanbeings if we used it wisely and proportionately. Only by doing so will the pros outweigh the cons.7.With the increasing demand of energy sources of oil and gas, people should look for sources of oil and gas in remote and untouched natural places. It is not sensible also morally flawed to stake our environment for progress, let alone to fulfill our own needs.8.Some people think that environmental problems are too big for individuals to solve. For many people, It is justified that people's wellbeing shouldbe taken into consideration before animals are taken good care of.However, it is not always the same case all around the world and wild animals are still being hunted and slaughtered inhumanely in many places.

Some people think that environmental problems are too big for individuals to solve. Others, however, believe that these problems cannot be solved if individuals do not take actions. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

There is no doubt human society is faced with serious environmental problems and immediate measures should be taken to solve these problems. However, what role ordinary people should play inenvironmental protection is a topic of debate. Some people think that the power of the individual is too small and the solution to environmental problems lies with the government and large enterprises. If the government can use legal and administrative power to curb environmental pollution, the effect would be significant. For example, it is common practice for some factories to discharge waste water into the river. If the government could enact strict laws to punish these factories, this kind of irresponsible behavior would be reduced. Also, the government and enterprises can invest in developing new technology to reduce the impact on the environment, which cannot be done by individuals. However, some people believe that individuals also have an important role to play in improving the environment we live in. the power of one person seems t be minimal, but with millions of individuals taking action, the effect would be huge. For instance, if every person can save a glass of water, the total amount saved would be considerable in a city with millions of people. Another example is air pollution in cities, which can be effectively tackled by encouraging people to use public transport. If individuals can give up driving private cars, the air quality would beobviously improved. In my opinion, protecting the environment is an urgent and long-term task that takes the effort of every member of the society. The government plays a leading by making policies, enforcing laws and organizing campaigns. Individuals can also make their contribution by doing small things in their daily lives.2014年6月28日雅思写作范文(环境话题)题目:With the increasing demand for energy sources of oil and gas, people should look for sources of oil and gas in remote and untouched natural places. Do the advantages outweigh disadvantages of damaging such areas?2014-06-28偏远地区勘探化石燃料的利弊(环境话题)Based on the quantities of proven oil and gas reserves, we can predict that the supply of oil and gas is unlikely to meet people’s demand for energy sources in the future. Some countries have started to explore more fuel sources in remote areas, but this is not the fundamental solution to the problem of energy shortage. It is true that looking for more oil or gas is in the interest of the mankind. As people rely heavily on fossil fuels, the newly-found energy sources can be used to support the fast economic development and high living standard. However, it should be noted that the total reserves of fossil fuels are limited and they will be exhausted sooner or later. Only when we shift to using renewable fuels can we extricate ourselves from energy crisis.Another problem is the damage to the local ecological environment if people prospect and build oil and gas fields in untouched areas. The habitats of animals and plants may be destroyed. Oil drilling may cause some environmental disasters. For example, oil spills occurred many time in the past few years and led to the death of millions of sea creatures. The last but not least, if more fossil fuels are exploited, it may accelerate the process of global warming. Burning fossil fuels is believed to be the main cause for climate change and extreme weather. Therefore, to prevent environmental disaster and protect our globe, people should develop clean fuel rather than search for more oil and gas.To conclude, looking for more oil and gas is not a good strategy for resolving energy crisis. A better way is to encourage the international community to step up its effort to develop and adopt new energy.
