(1)A couple of days before the Spring Festival, people are busy preparing for it. My family puts up new Spring Festival pictures on the doors, lanterns are hung in the house. We clean our house to prepare for celebrating the New Year. My mother takes me to go shopping. I buy different kinds of firecrackers.
(2)On the New Year‟s Eve,my whole family sit(sat) around the table to enjoy the big dinner while the wonderful New Year gala is(was) on TV. We laugh (laughed) and compliment(complimented) on their performances because the crosstalk and short plays are(were) always interesting. By the time of midnight, my parents give(gave) me a red envelope with some lucky money in it. I am(was) very happy, and at that time the firecrackers are(were) exploding everywhere, as if they are(were) clapping hands for me.

I always look forward to Spring Festival, since there is no school, I can eat many kinds of delicious food, set off fireworks, and buy new toys and clothes. I do not need to write homework, and can play with many friends. There is a happy atmosphere everywhere.
As I like to eat dumpling very much, last Spring Festival, my Mom taught me how to make it. After eating dumpling, I called my cousin and set off firecrackers outside with him. We were very excited and had a good time.

My birthday
My birthday is on January 1st. I celebrate it every year with my family and my friends. Every year, I hold a little birthday party and invite my friends. We chat and play a lot of games together.The best part of it is that I love the birthday cake and the gifts I get from my parents and my friends. I also get some money on my birthday.
I can buy what I want with the money. I have great fun on my birthdays. But on the other hand, I also understand that I am 1 year older after each birthday.
