请阅读下面短文，并按照要求用英语写一篇150词左右的文章。

The first day of school our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn't already know. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder. I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being. She said, "Hi handsome. My name is Rose. I' m eighty－seven years old. Can I give you a hug" I laughed and enthusiastically responded, "Of course you may." and she gave me a giant squeeze.

"I always dreamed of having a college education and now I'm getting one." She told me. After class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate milk shake. We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months we would leave class together and talk nonstop. I was always amazed at this "time machine" as she shared her wisdom and experience with me.

At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet. I'll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the podium. "We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing. You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die. We have so many people walking around who are dead and don't even know it."

At the year's end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those years ago. One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep. [写作内容]

我的感悟

一、鸡汤类的作文题存在通用性

这篇作文本质上就是写梦想。其实dream和purpose, ideal, goal, ambition 是一家的，下次换成谈谈goal，不要说没有写过。我们要做的就是，需要把鸡汤类的话题归类，不要做很多无用功。

二、概括类的鸡汤文往往是记叙文，记住就一个公式：某人或某物做了某事。

这篇文章涉及到两个人：Rose, I

Rose在本文做了四件事：87岁继续大学教育；和我分享个人经验和智慧；发表演讲；去世

我在本文就做了一件事：成为Rose朋友

这样一想就好办了：

Rose continued her college education at the age of 87.

Rose liked to share her experience and wisdom with me.

Rose made an inspring speech.

I make good friends with Rose.

下面要做的就是把它们连在一起，我一再跟学生强调：概括类的文字务必要简洁，不要用复杂的句子，也不要用什么修辞。因为概括本身就是为了让读者一下子明白文章讲了什么。你要是想体现你的写作才华，就在下面的120词中发挥吧。Rose, 87 years old, continued collegeeducation and often shared experience and wisdom with me, her close friend.Though she died soon after graduation, her speech impressed everyone.

三、鸡汤类的作文，谈感想就两个：impressive, moved。谈理解，首先要具体为：它的功能或重要性。

感想：I am deeplymoved and impressed by Rose’s speech. She gave top priority to the important role our dreams andeffort play in the daily life. 重要性的思维就鸡汤而言，无非：动力、激情、幸福等。

(1) It is a source of Motivation, encouragingus to study hard.

(2) It gives us hope and arouses enthusiasm/ happiness.

(3) However, without effort, our dream will be in vain / be the castle in the air.

需要把三个句子拓展开来：

A dream is something that you feel happy to hold on to. People with dreams love what they do, regardless of economic rewards,power or celebrity. So it is a source of motivation, giving us endless confidence and

firing/arousing our great enthusiasm. If people lack dreams, they would never reach full potential. Dreams imply hope, discipline,courage and many other qualities. In many cases, it can open up opportunities for people. However, dream and effort should go hand in hand, or dream will become thecastle in the air.

四、鸡汤类的思维关键词存在互补和共存关系。（这就是我在课堂上的最新发现）

请读者认真看我上面标了下划线的词汇，你会发现幸福、爱、自信、激情、希望、潜力、勇气、机遇等本质上差不多。为什么这么说呢？我举例：

有了梦想（dream）,人生就会有希望（hope），有了激情（enthusiasm），有了自信（confidence）等等。
