This is a tale of two friends --- one is blind, the other has no arms. On their own, the two are “disabled”. But together, they are a powerful team that has changed part of their village in North China’s Hebei Province into a rich, green forest. Do you kno w the story of 53-year-old Jia Haixia and Jia Wenqi?Their story began in 2000, when Haixia, who was already blind in his right eye, lost his left one after an illness. Wenqi lost his arms in an accident when he was just three. Neither of them could find a job, so the two decided to team up. They rented some poor land and began to plant trees. In return, the local officials paid them a small fee. Haixia and Wenqi never imagined that they would end up creating an environmental paradise. Their forest now has over 10,000 trees, hundreds of birds and many other wild animals. In addition, it saves the village from river flooding during the rainy season. When the friends work together, they focus on their strengths not their disabilities. Their day begins at 7 a.m. when the sightless Haixia carries Wenqi across the river to get to their worksite. Since they cannot afford to buy young trees to plant, the two use branches from existing trees. Haixia climbs to the tree-top and with Wenqi’s direction, selects the perfect branch. He then digs a hole and carefully plants it. Finally Wenqi waters the area.Though hard-working, the men don’t make much money. Many US kids - two out of three - said they get along with their parents. But that doesn't mean they never disagree. In fact, most kids reported arguing with their parents,at least sometimes. And two out of five kids said arguments sometimes even include shouting at each other."It's certainly normal to disagree and argue," says Darcy Lyness, an American expert. "But it's also important to learn how to do so respectfully (尊重地). Be patient. Don't use a raised, angry voice."And not surprisingly, three out of four kids said they had lied to their parents sometimes. Many said they lie so they would not get in trouble or disappoint their parents. According to Lyness, lying isn't just wrong. It can actually have bad results. Telling the truth builds trust.Telling the truth, says Lyness, shows maturity (成熟).But older kids actually lie more often than younger ones. Kids aged 12 to 14 not only said they lie more, but they also reported having less fun, feeling less close and not getting along as well with their parents.According to Lyness, those feelings are common. As kids become more independent (独立),they have more areas of disagreement with their parents. But it doesn't have to be that way."Kids and parents get along differently at each stage of the journey," she says. These days, many people are facing the stress in the use of mobile phones. They reach for their mobile phones when they wake up in the morning, and keep checking their social media apps to get the latest updates(更新).A report from Google shows that 70 percent of people don't want to spend much time on their phones. This is why Google introduced an app called Dashboard for the new Android operating system(安卓操作系统). This new app includes functions(功能) that help users manage the time. For example, users can see how many times they've unlocked their phone, how many times they've checked their social media apps, and how much time they spend on each app every day.Once the users see this information, they'll be able to make some changes. With the App Timer (计时) function, users can set a time limit for how long they can use each app for every day. After they've hit the limit, they won't be able to use the app until the next day. And with another function, the app gets incoming calls silent when the user puts the phone face down.If people truly want to make full use of their free time instead of losing hours on their phones, these new functions are just one way of doing that. After all, who needs to use an app to stop you from using other apps?

Teaching DesignI.Teaching Objective1. Learn to use be going to to write dream job2. Learn to talk dream job3. Learn to know Labor is glorious , and jobs make all equal ! II.Key and Difficult PointLearn to write dream job学情分析教学的对象是初二,学生已经出现了两级分化的现象。

(1) Read quickly, and answer the two questions:
Who thought up the plan?
What is the name of the plan?
(2) Read quickly, and divide the passage into three parts:
Before the plan; While the plan; After the plan.
(3) Read Part1 carefully, and answer the questions.
(4)Read part2 carefully, match.

Why the students happy now? (6)Read Para11-13 and match

阅读技巧有:skimming, scanning, read the title and the picture first, careful reading等等。
