A Rabbit’s Tail （兔子的尾巴）Hello, everyone, nice to meet you.（大家好。很高兴见到你们。）I’m Yang Yufan. I am 11 years old. （我叫杨羽帆，我11岁了）I like English, I like songs. （我喜欢英语，我喜欢唱歌。）And I like stories, espacilly about animals.（而且我也喜欢故事，特别是关于动物的故事。）Today, I’ll tell you a story about the rabbit. （今天，我要给大家讲一个关于兔子的故事。）As we know, （大家都知道）the rabbit is very cute,（兔子很可爱）she has two long ears and a short tail（它有两只长耳朵和一条短尾巴）. But, it’s said that the rabbit had a long tail before（可是，据说，以前，兔子的尾巴是长的）. Do you know why（你知道为什么吗）? Now, let me tell you the reason（现在，让我告诉你们原因吧）.

Long long ago（很久很久以前）, a rabbit with a long tail was walking along a river（一只长尾巴的兔子正在河边散步）. Suddenly（突然）, on the other bank（在河对岸）, she saw lots of nice grass（它看到了好多的鲜草）. “ Wow, grass, I like grass!（哇，鲜草，我太喜爱鲜草了）But, no bridge, no boat（可是，既没有桥，又没有船）, how can I get there（我怎样才能到对岸去呢）?” The rabbit thought hard（兔子使劲地想着）.

Then, the rabbit saw a tortoise（就在那时，兔子看见了一只乌龟）. “ Aha, I have a good idea（哈哈，我有办法了）.” The rabbit was very happy（兔子非常高兴）, and said（说）, “ Hello, Tortoise（你好啊，乌龟）.”

“ Hi, Rabbit.” The tortoise said.（“你好啊，兔子。”乌龟说。）“ I hear you have many babies（听说，你孩子很多啊）, but I don’t think so（可我不相信啊）. Can I have a look（能让我看看吗）?” The rabbit asked（兔子问）.

“ Yes, of course.”（当然了）

Then, all the tortoise babies were on the river.（然后，所有的小乌龟都来到水面上。）They stood in line（他们排成行）, from this bank to the other（从河这边排到河的那边）.

The rabbit stepped on one baby’s back（兔子跳上一只小乌龟的背）, from one to another（然后一个接着一个往前跳）, and counted （并且数着）, “ One, Two, Three, Four---（一，二，三，四---）.”

At last（最后）, the rabbit got to the other bank（兔子到了河对岸）, she was so happy and laughed（它太高兴了，大笑着）,” Ha! Ha! ha! A Foolish Tortoise! I just played a joke.I just want to get here!（哈哈哈，傻瓜乌龟，我只是开开玩笑，我只是想过河）”The tortoise was very angry, and bit the rabbit’s tail .(乌龟非常生气，一下就咬住了兔子的尾巴。)

Oh, the rabbit’s long tail got so short.（噢，兔子的长尾巴变短了。）

It’s just an interesting story（这仅仅是一个故事）. But I think we should be honest（但是，我们应该做个诚实的孩子）. Do you agree （你同意吗）?
