The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France,unveiled on 28 October 1886 at Liberty Island in New York Harbor as a welcome to all visitors,immigrants,and returning Americans.
Uncle Sam was originally a real person but later this character was developed by artists and politicians into a personification of the United States,or the US government in particular.

The buffalo nickel is a five–cent coin in the US that bears “truly American” symbols on it.It was first minted for regular use in U.S. coinage in 1913 and became very popular with the general public. The coin was designed by Jame Earle Fraser,a noted artist with a keen interest in native culture.
American Gothic is a painting by Grant Wood from 1930.It enjoys enormous popularity and has become an American icon and the model for a countless number of commercial art parodies,such as posters,cards,and souvenirs.
