本单元学习的主题是比较人的身高体重，而本课主要是学习比较人或恐龙的身高体重。
本课主要通过设置参观恐龙博物馆这一情境，带领学生进入恐龙世界，通过看一看、比一比、说一说、聊一聊，激起学生谈论恐龙的兴趣。
在看、比、聊中认识恐龙，感受不同恐龙典型的身体特征，同时能够在语境中熟练运用“taller, shorter, bigger, smaller”等形容词比较级进行人或恐龙的外貌特征的比较，同时也能够完成对比自己与同学身高的活动。
以身高的谈论为例，引导学生在同一语境中延伸谈论话题，拓展“Length”, “Age”两方面的比较，丰富语言，拓展运用，使对话更灵活、真实、生动，提升学生的综合运用能力。
